Tears welled up and blinded his one good eye as he walked away from the place called Wellington. Leaving Clementine and little AJ was probably the hardest thing that Kenny would ever have to do in his life, well, aside from having to deal with Duck when he had gotten bit back at the Motor Inn.

The hills in the distance were blurry, but that was only because he didn't want his tears to fall. He had to be strong. He had to convince Clem and AJ that this was the right choice, and it was. This was the best thing to do in a situation like this.

Kenny swore he wouldn't look back, but oh God he wanted to. He wanted to look back and make sure they got into the camp safely. But he knew if he were to look back, he would run back to them. He'd run back to them, and they'd leave Wellington together as a family like Clementine intended to in the first place.

He wouldn't turn back though, he swore he wouldn't. He'd soldier on for the sake of those kids, so they could stay safe.
