The fires raged throughout the entire cavern, filling each stone carved room with plumes of smoke as black as coal. The air was thick, the smoke from the fires choked the air, leaving many to gasp and pant. Some crumbled to the ground, clutching their throats as they desperately tried to gulp swallows of air.

Aeryella jerked her head about, fear alight in her eyes watching those whom she swore to protect crumble to the ground, gasping for air. A few fell unconscious, others lay limp on the ground; their chests barely rising as the fires slowly consumed their bodies. The smell of burning flesh permeated the air; a few of the Animals and people fell to their knees and retched.

Aeryella blinked, and turned. The chaos around her slowed, the noise dimmed in her ears until only a low ringing echoed in the back of her head. A halo of a haze spread across her vision, watching her fellow Resistance Members; her Family, the Animals, children and mothers run frantically around the halls, trying desperately to escape the fires, or the Gale forces slicing them down as they passed.

Atlas had unsheathed his sword from his belt and with a roar, ran head long into the melee. A few others joined him, having grabbed whatever weapon they could find; half blinded by the smoke and fires, joined the fight.

Numb, the Elder Spryte watched Atlas cut through a large platoon of Gale soldiers. A spray of blood, and his face and shirt become saturated in crimson rain. Turning he lifts his blood spattered sword above his head.

"Fight! Raise to arms and fight to survive! Kill the betrayers of Oz!" he shouts. Turning, he kicks a Gale soldier running towards him in the stomach. The guard doubled over in pain. Crying out, the guard's hand jerks up, throwing his sword high into the air. Atlas spins and grabbing the sword, crosses the blades as the guard doubled over in pain.

The guard; a man in his teens looks up at Atlas, fear alight in his eyes.

"Please don't kill me" he pleaded weakly.

A snarl and Atlas scissors the man's head clean off his neck. His head rolls and thumps to the ground, a pause and his body follows.

Twirling his swords, he slashes them to the side, a spray of blood and the blades come back clean. Turning he twirls the blades before sinking them deep into the back of another Gale soldier attacking an innocent child.

Elphaba stood regal before the chaos. Fires burned behind her, casting her features in darkness. A light breeze swept past her, making her long raven hair billow and fan out around her.

Glinda turned and gasped, for the image was that of a Darkened Angel, a warrior of Darkness, and not the shy, awkward green girls he had known so well in the past.

"Elphie" she whimpers weakly. Blood dripped down the side of her head, staining a few strands of her coiled curls. The top of her right hand was burned, the other covered in blood. Bruises covered her face and arms, and her dress had become a tattered mess.

Elphaba threw her head back and cackled icily. Gracefully, her hand rose and caressed Fiyero's cheek in a seductive sweep. Turning her head, she presses a tender kiss to his forehead.

"Are you enjoying yourself my love?" she purred in his ear.

A dark smirk pulled on Fiyero's lips as his hand rose and cupped over hers.

"Oh yes" he answered huskily.

"Elphie! FiFi!" cries Glinda. Wincing, the Good witch of the North shakily rose to her full height. Her dark cerulean eyes gazed brokenly back at the two who each held a piece of her heart. Fractures of blues and silvers shimmered like crystals by the edge of her tears. "Please stop this!"

Elphaba and Fiyero both turn and gaze wickedly back at the blonde. Slowly, Elphaba's fingers rose and threaded through Fiyero's dark blonde hair.

"She was always a nuisance…wasn't she Yero my sweet" purrs Elphaba.

Fiyero shivered and moaned as his eyes rolled closed.

"Oz yes" he hissed.

Leaning closer, Elphaba opened her mouth and bit Fiyero's ear.

"What should we do with her?" she asked huskily.

"Kill her" Fiyero said through a moan. His hand reached down to his belt line, and grabbing the hilt of his blade, unsheathed it and held out before Glinda. The blade glowed by the light of the fires flickering around her.

"Cut off her pretty head for me my love…I'd love to have it mounted above our bed" purred Elphaba.

Nodding, Fiyero turned his head and captured Elphaba's lips in a fervid kiss.

Shivering, Glinda turned away as a wave of heartache crashed through her body.

"Hmm…who was better in bed Yero…her or me?" Elphaba asked through a moan.

"You my Fae" Fiyero breathed heavily.

"Kill her now," Elphaba said as she grabbed his face, "then take me later" she growled.

Nodding, Fiyero turned and glared maniacally back at Glinda. A tiny squeak, escaped her trembling lips, seeing the bitter coldness shimmer in his hollow eyes.

"FiFi" she managed to say through a whimper.

"Oz…I hated that name" he growled in irritation. Meticulously, he stepped closer, his hands tightened around the hilt. She could see the coil of his muscles ripple as he lifted his sword up. The cold, calculating heat of hatred gleamed in his eyes, and for a second, the blonde's heart stopped dead in her chest. This wasn't Fiyero, this wasn't the carefree boy she had known at Shiz, for this Fiyero was but a hollow shell of the man he once was.

"Fiyero no!" cries Glinda in horror. Trembling, she lifts her hand towards the Prince of Vinkus slowly approaching her. Dark blue sparks of magick flickered at her fingertips, yet she would not release her magick. "Stand down!"

Fiyero smirk widened.

"You can't hurt me Glinda the Good" spat Fiyero as he lifted the blade higher. His muscles tightened, at the ready to strike her down and end her life.

Aeryella having broken free from her stupor had joined Atlas and the others at pushing the Gale force back, turned and her eyes widened, seeing Fiyero encroach upon the Good witch of the North.

"No!" she cries. The other Sprytes were busy pushing a huge battalion back, and had not heard their leader speak. Atlas and the others who had stayed to fight were preoccupied with saving their own skins as a large group of the Wizard's best warriors fought back.

Elphaba cackled icily. Gracefully, she lifted her hands high into the air as emerald and ebony sparks flickered at the edge of her fingertips.

"Behold!" she bellows. A flash of light and her magick flies out and strikes the blonde, "The end of Glinda the Good!"

Fiyero steps closer and staring down at her, smirks as he brings the blade back.

"Goodbye" he says coldly.

"FIYERO!" the blonde screams.

Atlas, hearing the blonde scream, turns just in time to see Fiyero slice his sword downward towards Glinda's neck.
