Bonjour to you. I'll keep it short because I don't really know what to say. The chapter has some good stuff though. Forward.
Chapter 29- Place of Execution
Frank P.O.V.
"Ready?"
"Definitely."
I handed Marion the hairbrush I had got from Stella's flat before heading to HQ. She took one of the hairs and placed it onto the tracer.
"Where is she?" I asked frantically
"Be patient Frank. It takes time."
Sighing impatiently I sat down on a chair next to the door. After a few minutes of silence the tracer started to buzz.
"Frank we got her. Look!"
I stood and quickly crossed the room.
"Where is that? KORPS HQ?"
"I don't know."
"Well let's go and find out then."
I made for the door
"Frank wait." Marion called "At least wait for backup."
I considered it. I wanted to go know and get Stella back safely but going know without backup would probably mean getting captured or worse. I sat back on the chair.
"Fine."
In response Marion went to the phone and called for a SWAT team. She then came to sit beside me.
"You do know why we need backup Frank?"
"Yes, yes I know. We might get killed if we don't go with backup."
"I was more thinking about Stella's safety than ours." She huffed "If we go in there all guns blazing she could get hurt in the crossfire. I want to go and find as much as you but I don't want to get anybody killed or hurt."
I knew she was right. Deep down I knew but I didn't really want to accept it. I wanted to find Stella now. I wanted to protect her, like I hadn't before. I was angry and annoyed at the same time. Not a good combination. Angry at KORPS for taking her and annoyed at myself for not being able to go and rescue her. Angry at myself for not protecting her when she needed it and annoyed at MI9 for not being quicker with procedure.
"Where is this SWAT team then?" I inquired "Shouldn't th-"
I was interrupted by a knock at the door.
"There's the SWAT team. Come on."
Crimeminister's P.O.V.
(KORPS HQ)
"Fetch the woman and bring her to the chamber." I ordered one of the guards
The guard walked away and I continued my path down the corridor to the chamber. On arrival I was greeted my Hamish who looked extremely pleased with himself.
"Why so smug Campbell?"
His smirk instantly disappeared and was replaced with a serious look.
"The chamber is ready ma'am."
"I know that you blithering idiot!" I snapped
"Sorry ma'am. Are we going to use it straight away?"
"The woman is being brought up." Was my reply
"Very good ma'am."
Stella's P.O.V.
The door of cell opened and a guard stood in the doorway. I backed away from him whimpering. I was scared. I knew what was coming and the look from the guard confirmed it. Another 2 guards came into the cell and grabbed my arms. They pulled me into a standing position and brought my hands behind my back. They slid the handcuffs onto my wrists. I twisted against them trying to find a weak point but the guards could see what I was doing and held my arms still. I kept trying to fight against them but they gripped harder causing pain to shot up my arms and bruises started to appear. We finally came to the end of a long corridor and a dim room. As my eyes adjusted to the lack of light I could see several figures standing in front of a long table. The table itself was covered with lots of complicated looking buttons, which probably did about a hundred different jobs.
"Well, well, well. Stella Knight. Here you stand. In the place of execution. The place of your execution."
I legs started to give way but the guards were still holding me upright.
"Any last words?"
I stayed silent. I felt too afraid to speak
"No? Such a pity."
The people left the room. The guards then released their grip on me and I fell to the floor. Without a word the hand cuffs were unlocked. They also left shutting a large metal door behind them.
A small hissing sound soon started. The room then started to become very airless. The air. They were taking the air. I started pounding my fist against the door but stopped when I knew that nobody was coming. Nobody was coming to save me.
My head suddenly started aching. I knew the feeling. Old memories. Flooding back to haunt me at the time of my death. I curled up and started screaming. Everything came back. MI9, KORPS, M I High, my parent's deaths, Marion, Frank. Everyone and everything. My lungs started burning and a veil of red descended.
I hope I have left you with even more unanswered questions than before you started. review
