Zack's POV
"What the hell is going on?!" Tony shouted when Nikki left with Dylan.
I sat down in my desk chair and put my hands on my head, "She'll call, she always calls," I murmured.
Hours and several questions had passed. I gave no answers. "She will call," I kept telling myself. Finally my phone started to ring.
"Put it on speaker," Tony demanded, and I obeyed.
"Nikk, sweetie, what's going on?" You could hear the distress in my voice.
"You need to catch him Zack. Dylan said I can't come back until he's caught. I need you to catch him," her voice was unsteady.
"Where are you?"
"I don't know, you can't come with me. I need you to catch him so I can come home to you and our babies Zack. I need to come home."
"I'll find him Nikk," the line went dead, "Nikki, Nikk? Onika?!" I slammed the phone down onto the desk.
Tony walked over to me, "We'll find her Zack, but you need to start talking."
A beeping sound came from the biggest TV. Ziva had Dylan's face on the screen. "That was easy," she said, "Special Agent Dylan Sawford, he's FBI. Get a BOLO out for him."
"Don't," I said and everyone looked at me like I was crazy, "we don't need to catch Dylan, he's trying to help."
"By abducting Nikki?" Tony remarked.
"Do you really think she would've just walked out of a federal building with someone trying to abduct her? She isn't stupid. If she didn't go with Dylan then he would've come here."
"Who would've come here?" Ellie asked.
I sighed, "About ten years ago, before Nicole Baskin appeared, Onika Shaffer, myself and one of Nikk's friends were shipped off to boarding school in Utah. Soon after we got there Nikki started getting threatening messages. Emails, texts, letters, even messages written in the fog on her window. She didn't think much of it. She convinced me and Jaden that it was just another student trying to scare away the competition. After our second year at the school someone tried to kill her. The police got involved, but the attempts still happened. Eventually the police called in the FBI, Dylan was the lead agent, still is. Nikki was abducted about six months after that. He held her captive for three days before she managed to escape. It took her about a week to find her way home, and when she did Dylan put her in protective custody. They changed her name to Nicole Baskin and moved us to a military base in California. We went to a different boarding school in San Diego and Nikki officially started training when she turned sixteen. The FBI team was certain that the man who took her was the same man who left the messages and tried to kill her. He was never caught. She's had to go into hiding twice before now, usually I can come with but if they think he's close they would just take Nikk, especially since we've got the girls now, they wouldn't want to put them in any kind of danger."
The team soaked in the story for a couple of minutes, "Did they have any suspects?" Tony asked.
"A few, they never had any solid leads. I can call over and get the evidence from the case." It would take at least two days for all of the evidence to be shipped out to DC so I had hard copies faxed while we waited for the boxes to arrive.
After a couple of minutes of looking through reports Bishop spoke up, "Should we move the investigation to Utah? That's where this originally started."
"I don't think Dylan would have taken her away if he wasn't close, but maybe we should. If we don't have anything by tomorrow we'll go," I said with a sigh. What am I supposed to tell the girls? I thought to myself.
We looked through the evidence for hours. When the clock struck three I told everyone to go home and get some rest and make some arrangements for their kids.
