Melody, Jamie, Randy and John came into the room a little while later. "Thank goodness, you're okay." Melody said. "We were worried."
"I'm too hard headed to die."
"Good." Jamie smiled and hugged him. "Stay that way." She turned and looked at Ryann. "Okay, what's going on? You both are very happy."
Mike smiled. "Ryann and I are getting married."
"Oh my god." Melody said hugging them both. "That's great news. I'm so happy for you both. When are you getting married?"
"Soon. So we've got some planning to do."
"Then we should get started." Melody smiled. "Jamie and I will help in anyway."
Ryann smiled. "I appreciate that."
"Of course." Melody replied. "That's what friends do."
"We're going to let you rest."
"Thanks." Mike said as they walked out. He turned to Ryann. "Sorry about that. They tend to get excited."
She smiled. "This is something worth getting excited about."
He smiled. "Yes, it is. I can't wait to make you my wife." She smiled and kissed him.
"I can't wait either." She replied. "Do you need anything? Food or anything?"
"I just need you to lay here with me." She smiled and carefully got into the hospital bed with him. He put his arm around her and she gently rested her head on his chest. "I love you." he said. "And I don't want to let you go."
She smiled and leaned up and kissed him. "There isn't anywhere else I want to be but with you."
A few days later, Mike was released from the hospital and moved in with Ryann. She had been busy planning the wedding with Melody and Jamie. He couldn't wait for them to be married.
"You're sure he won't see the dress here?"
"I promise. He won't." Melody replied. "I will keep it in the guest room."
Ryann nodded. "I can't believe we're getting married in two days."
"I know but it's exciting." Melody smiled. "Alden has been practicing being a flower girl for a week now."
Ryann laughed and turned to look at Jamie. "Brandon has been practicing too but he keeps eating the cheerios."
Ryann laughed again. "As long as he doesn't eat the rings, it's all good."
"Have you guys gotten all moved into the house?"
"We have." Ryann smiled. "I'm so glad we managed to find one near you guys."
"Well, we are excited for you to live nearby." Melody smiled. "We couldn't have you anywhere else."
Ryann smiled. "And we have Alden and Brandon's room all set up."
Melody and Jamie both laughed. "And I'm sure they will be over as much as they can." Jamie replied. "Until you guys need it as a nursery."
"No. We have the nursery all set up."
"What?" Melody asked. "Are you having a baby?"
Ryann looked at the two of them and smiled. "Oh my gosh, congrats." Jamie said hugging her first. "This is great."
"I agree." Melody said as she hugged her.
"Thanks. It wasn't expected but we love it."
"I bet so." Melody smiled. "You and Mike will have a beautiful baby together."
"So give us the details." Jamie asked her. "Tell us when you're due and everything about the pregnancy."
"I'm due right around Christmas. And everything is good so far."
"That's awesome." Melody smiled. "A sweet little Christmas present."
"Mike is so excited. When I told him, he cried and held me for what felt like forever."
"I'm not surprised by that." Jamie replied. "He's wanted to be a father for a long time. And it's great he's finally getting that."
"We should celebrate." Melody said.
"I agree." Jamie said with a smile. "So, let's plan a dinner to celebrate this news. And invite everyone."
"Can we do it after the wedding? One party at a time is all I can handle. And I don't think I can make that many cupcakes to keep Randy away from the wedding cake."
Both Jamie and Melody laughed. "No problem. We can have it after the wedding." Melody replied. "Are you feeling sick?" Melody asked.
"Actually, I feel good right now."
"Good. Then let's enjoy this last night of you being a single woman. Pretty soon, you'll have a full grown Mike and a little Mike running around." Ryann laughed and the girls headed to the living room to watch movies and eat junk food.
Mike sat around with the guys at John's house. "I appreciate you guys throwing me this party."
"You're getting married. Why wouldn't we have a party for you? Did you get the house all set up?"
"Yeah the house is all set up including rooms for Alden and Brandon. They are near the nursery." He replied.
Randy and John looked at each other. "Nursery?" John asked.
"Yeah. Seems there will be a little something extra for Christmas this year."
"Congratulations." They said to him.
"That's awesome." John said to him.
Mike smiled. "I couldn't believe it when she told me. I think I made her take six tests to prove it."
John and Randy both laughed. "That sounds normal." John replied. "It's great that you guys are starting your family too."
"I never thought I'd have the chance after..." Mike stopped. "After Nikki."
"I know." John replied. "It's hard to move on from something like that. And we know how much you loved her. But she would want you to be happy. And she would want this for you."
"John's right." Randy added. "This is your second chance. Enjoy it."
"I plan to . And I won't take a minute with them for granted."
"I know you won't." Randy replied. "You and Ryann are going to have a long and happy together."
Mike smiled. "I can't wait." The guys smiled too and they finished up their card game.
Two days later, Ryann stood in the guest room of Melody's house and took a breath to come her nerves. "Relax, everything will be fine." She heard from the door and turned to see Melody and Jamie there.
"You look beautiful." Jamie said smiling.
"Thanks." She smiled. "I'm nervous but I'm ready to be Mike's wife."
"Don't you dare stress. You've got our god child in there. Now just relax and let's get you married."
Ryann smiled and they walked to where they were suppose to wait until it was time to walk down the aisle. Randy took his place to stand beside her and walk her down the aisle. She smiled when she saw Mike at the end of the aisle with tears in his eyes as he watched her walk. Randy kissed her on the cheek and handed her over to Mike.
"We are gathered here today to join in marriage, Ryann and Mike. Is it your intention to be married today?"
"It is." They said together.
"I understand you've written your own vows?" They both nodded. "You can share them. Mike, you can go first."
"Ryann, I can't believe we're standing here. I wasn't looking to fall in love again. I never thought I would. But by chance, I met you. You're the most amazing person. When you love, you love with all that you are and I'm so thankful that you love me. And as we stand here, about to start on this journey together, I'm so thankful to be marrying my best friend." He said as he slid the wedding ring on her.
"Ryann, you may go next and share your vows with Mike."
She smiled and looked up at Mike. "Mike, I didn't think I could ever find happiness again. That I would ever be okay. But you came into my life and though things haven't always been easy, it's been worth it to get to where we are. I love you a little more every day and I thank God that you opened the door that night and found me in the hallway."
"The rings." He gave them each the rings. "Take the ring and placed on each other's hands." They exchanged the rings and then turned to him. "By exchanging vows and rings, I know pronounce you husband and wife. You may kiss the bride" Mike smiled and kissed her. "May I present Mr. and Mrs. Mike Mizanin."
Everyone clapped as they headed to the garden for pictures. Mike smiled at Ryann as they took the pictures. "You look so beautiful today."
She smiled at him. "You look pretty handsome yourself."
"Thanks." He smiled and kissed her. "Shall we head to the reception?" She nodded and they walked toward it. He was so happy they were married and expecting their baby. He was finally having the life he always dreamed of having.
