Dumbledore's funeral over, I had to take my friends aside.

"Guys… it's been nice knowing you five, but we have to go. I have to find and destroy all of these blasted Horcruxes…"

"Harry, no way. Me and Ginny have to come at the very least! We're chosen too: we have to defeat Voldemort as much as you have to!"

"Harry, don't be daft! We're coming with you as well! We may not be Chosen, but sometimes you need a few extra hands," Ron said.

"…Fine. But, Ginny… I have no choice. You can't come yet."

"Why not! Why bring Ron, Hermione and Darion, but not me?" Ginny complained. I agreed with her, but I needed to put my foot down.

"Ginny… you'll have the Trace on you. This quest can't wait for you, as much as I want it too… but Ginny, I promise: you can come with us as soon as you are of age."

"Why worry about this dumb Trace? Bring on everything the Ministry can send!" Ginny cried out, just like I trusted her too.

"Ginny, the Ministry is about as susceptible to Death Eater infiltration as a Muggle mansion. We cast something as simple as Wingardium Leviosa, every Death Eater worth his magic will be on us like Muggle children on ice-cream. Or cake. Trust me, we can't."

"…Fine. But as soon as I'm of age, I'm coming on your wild goose chase!"

"Agreed."

Shortest chapter ever. Luckily it's part of the triple update.

This triple update, which is covered now because little else to discuss, is a direct result of it being the last day of school. I literally spent more than half the day writing.

And, while Darion was in the hunt in my original draft, he wasn't during the writing. I chose now because he was sufficiently close to Amber to be part of this conversation.

Two must fall to the hand of one...
