Hi guys. I get that you're all mad at me and junk but I have good reasons for not updating in forever, I've been going through a lot of stuff lately and my parents took away my computer and junk because the internet was being chewed away.
So yeah sorry. Have some pie any kind you want! By the way sorry that it's short.
Disclaimer: I don't own the Mortal Instruments or its Characters it all belongs to Cassandra Clare.
Alec's POV
Alec picked at his breakfast and listened to Max talking about the dream he had last night, they were the only two sitting at the table because everyone was still sleeping. He had snuck out of Magnus's room at four o'clock in the morning and went into his own room and wrote to his parent in his journal for a few hours before he heard Vicky downstairs in the kitchen.
Alec poked his friend egg with his fork and wondered if Isabelle was going to forgive him because she seemed really upset that he had tried to kill himself.
"Alec!" Max said, climbing onto the table and clapping his hands in front of Alec's face. "Are you even listening to me?"
Alec snapped out of his thoughts, "Yeah, I'm listening," He tried lifting the corners of his mouth up into a smile but he was pretty sure it failed.
Max smiled and sat crossed legged in the middle of the kitchen table, "Okay, so this monkey was like—"
"Maxwell!" Vicky exclaimed, rushing over to Max and lifting him off the table, "Don't sit on the table, what if you fell off?! I don't want you to get hurt!" she said, placing him back down on his chair.
Max huffed and crossed his arms over his chest, "I wouldn't have fallen off the table."
"You could've," Vicky said.
Max shrugged, "Anyway like I was saying, this monkey was like 'Max you have to save the banana princess' and I was like, 'kay'."
"That's interesting Max," Alec said, nodding his head. "Good to know that you save the princess."
"Don't you want to know how I saved her?" Max asked, "Because it's really interesting it involves a vine, a hovercraft and a banana peel."
"It's alright," Alec said, "I think I can live without knowing."
Max nodded, "Okay, but if you like really want to know about how I saved the princess I'll tell you."
"I'll keep that in mind," Alec mumbled, picking up a piece of bacon and nibbling on it.
Vicky sat down next to Max and tried to smooth down his bed hair, which was sticking up all over the place. Max tried swatting away Vicky's hands but failed. Alec smiled at the scene and kept nibbling on the piece of bacon.
Jace walked into the kitchen, yawning loudly and scratching his head, "Morning!" He said brightly, stealing a piece of bacon off of Alec's plate.
"You're up early!" Vicky commented.
Jace nodded and shoved the stolen bacon into his mouth.
"You're breakfast is over there, Jace," Vicky said pointing at the kitchen bench.
Jace smiled and walked over and grabbed the plate from the kitchen bench and sat down next to Max.
"How are you kiddo?" Jace asked Max.
"I'm fine," Max said. "Do you want to know how I saved the banana Princess?"
"Not really," Jace said, shoving a piece of bacon in his mouth. "Maybe some other time."
Max nodded, "Okay."
Alec picked at his food and listened to Jace talk about how he was going to ask Clary on a date.
Magnus walked into the kitchen and grabbed a plate full of breakfast. "Morning," He said brightly sitting down next to Alec.
"Morning," Alec mumbled.
Jace glared at Magnus for interrupting his rant about Clary. "What did I do?" Magnus asked.
"Nothing," Jace muttered, shoving another piece of bacon into his mouth.
"Where'd you go last night?" Magnus asked his voice low so only Alec could hear it.
"I just went to my own room," Alec answered shrugging.
Magnus nodded and started eating his food. Alec picked at his food some more and listened to Max telling Magnus about his dream.
Isabelle stopped down into the kitchen and grabbed and apple from the fruit basket in the middle of the table, she glared at Alec. "I'm not going to school today," she said, stomping out of the kitchen and up the stairs.
Alec sunk down in his chair, This is my fault he thought.
"What's wrong with Isabelle?" Max asked.
"She's just a bit upset," Jace said, getting up from his chair. "I'll go talk to her."
Alec watched as Jace walked out of the room.
Vicky looked worried, "Maybe I should go talk to her," she said.
"No mum," Magnus said. "Jace is talking to her, she'll be okay."
"Alright," Vicky said nodding.
After a few minutes of silence they heard Isabelle screaming at Jace to get out of her room and leave her alone and a door slamming shut. Vicky stood up, "I'm going to go talk to her."
Alec shook his head, "don't" he mumbled. "She's just mad at me."
"Why is she mad at you?" Vicky asked.
Alec shrugged.
Vicky sighed, "I'm just going to go see how Isabelle is." She walked out of the room and Alec sunk down lower in his chair.
"You know if you sink any lower in chair you'll fall off," Magnus said.
Alec sighed and sat up properly.
"Stop beating yourself up, darling," Magnus said softly. "It's not your fault she'd upset."
"Yes it is," Alec said. "I told her the real reason why I was in the hospital."
"Oh…" Magnus said, "I can see why she'd be upset."
Alec nodded his head in agreement. "What are you two talking about?" Max asked.
"Nothing Max," Alec said.
Max sighed and crossed his arms over his chest, "I don't like it when you guys keep things from me."
"We're not keeping anything from you," Magnus said.
"Yes you are!" Max said, "It's about the hospital isn't it?"
"No!" Alec said quickly.
"It is!" Max yelled, "It's because of the cuts on your arm isn't it?"
Alec shook his head and tugged on his sleeves, "Just stop talking Max," He mumbled, "Drink some juice or something."
Max sighed and glared at Alec, "Why do you keep not telling me things?!" he asked, jumping off his chair and storming upstairs.
Alec sighed and he felt tears form in his eyes. He just seemed to be upsetting everyone today. He looked towards Magnus who was looking at him with sad eyes.
"It's okay darling," Magnus whispered. "Max is just throwing a tantrum and Isabelle will come around, don't cry."
"I'm not crying," Alec mumbled.
"You look like you're about to," Magnus said.
Alec nodded, "When will everything get better?" he asked.
"Soon, darling," Magnus said.
"You promise?" Alec asked, "You promise everything will get better soon?"
"I promise," Magnus muttered.
