Operation Blank Conspiracy 29

Heero frowned staring up at the ceiling from the position on his back. He wore only his comfortable spandex and tank top, his usual sleep clothes since they made it so much easier to just get up and go. He tried to sleep but it was just too hard when he kept thinking about his conversation with the colonels. Despite what they said to him, he really didn't believe this mission had anything to do with deciding what division Duo should go into. It was obvious he'd be joining Division 1 since he was qualified to fill the shoes of the late gundam pilot before him.

But the colonels had more plans in mind. Testing? Yes, it felt like they were testing Duo for something. To see how much he could endure? To see for themselves what his super powered body was really capable of? He wasn't sure…and that was the part he didn't like. They weren't telling him anything. Not that he expected to know everything about what kind of plans they made. But things pertaining to Duo felt important to him. He didn't know if it had to do with the feeling he felt for the other or the emotions he felt coursing through his body that told him that something wasn't right.

Even worse, he wasn't the one to be selected to go with Duo on this mission, something he found strange. Heero was known to always go on these kinds of missions, where part of the objective was a search and destroy mission. Granted if Duo was going to be in Division 1, they didn't need two Division 1 people there. But for some reason he felt like Duo was his responsibility, his person to protect.

It was the excuse Une had given him about why he wasn't going on this mission. Duo influenced him too much, so much so that he must be feeling like it was his job to protect the other. She didn't like the defiance he had been showing her lately, from confronting her about the nurse sent to draw Duo's blood to coming late to a meeting he'd meant to be at ten minutes before it had started. Now he was going against her about this mission, about sending Duo out too soon. Even he hadn't been sent out on his first mission for months. Why was Duo starting so soon? Because he was different? Special because of his unique body, a body Heero felt he knew every part of from just sleeping with him within the past week?

He wondered from that thought if things were moving too fast between Duo and him. If he thought about it, they'd only met each other a couple of weeks ago, maybe a little more than that. Yet already they were sleeping together and not wanting to be away from each other, at least that was the case for Heero. Maybe it had to do with the meeting with 01, how any one of them could have died. Or how Heero had thought Duo had been killed before learning the truth about his being. He wanted to be there for Duo, even if the other could be a pain in the rump when he wanted to. Was it love at first sight? Even if he had denied it in the beginning? Was he really in love? He had to be to get jealous over Wufei of all people.

He imagined that Duo was getting ready for bed right now. It made him wonder what Duo wore to bed normally since he'd only seen him naked thanks to their sexual escapade. Heero blushed slightly, his fingers moving up to his lips visually remembering everything that happened. They hadn't slept together since three nights ago, since Heero had taken advantage of Duo on the bed and stripped him away of everything hiding him away.

He wanted to ask more, to know more about Duo's past. But how could he if asking would only bring up the pain? He doubted that Duo was fully past it. The man just knew how to cope with it, to hide it away behind glowing indigo eyes and smirking lips that seemed to beg to be touched. And yet Duo had proven to be quite chaste though very responsive to Heero's touches.

But they wouldn't be doing anything until this mission was over. How long was it supposed to take? A week? Longer? Shorter? They never knew how long their missions would be when they were like this. Duo could be gone for weeks, months even. Or he could come back as soon as three days. Infiltration wasn't always the quickest thing when you needed to learn information. But with this just being a search and destroy mission combined with the need to scout out who their targets were, it shouldn't take that long, counting the traveling time. It might even take less time as little as one or two days depending on how strong their security was.

The door to his room beeped as it slid open. He didn't even move except to turn his head to look over at the door. Though he hadn't expected a visit this late at 12:00 at night, he knew who it was. He'd given him the code to come in after all. Besides, the space station was the safest place to be, there wasn't a reason to be on guard 24/7. Still, it did surprise him to see the other there when he should have been sleeping and resting up for tomorrow. Maybe he couldn't sleep? Nerves?

Duo hadn't moved from the doorway looking just a little bit embarrassed about being there before he walked inside giving the room owner a small smile in the low light of the room. "Hi." Just a simple greeting. Heero could accept that. Heero sat up as he saw the braided male walking over, looking awkward like he wasn't sure he was allowed there or not. Heero didn't have any complaints to the visit. "I-Is it ok if we talk?" It sounded like he was asking for permission to speak. When did he ever need permission to speak? Usually it was hard to shut him up.

"Yeah." Heero shifted over on the bed, looking up at him and staring into the brilliant indigo eyes that held that certain glow to them. They really were amazing eyes, eyes he honestly couldn't get enough of. He thought Duo would sit on the bed beside him and frowned when the other took the computer chair instead. Was he trying to avoid touching Heero suddenly?

Duo didn't say anything at first, just staring at him and worrying at his bottom lip with his teeth. The eyes didn't stare long as they started to look around the room for just about anything else to stare at. Heero didn't have much for his eyes though. It was starting to make Heero get nervous too. Was he coming here to break things off after all they'd been through? Did Duo come to say the whole thing was a mistake?

"So uh…I thought it'd be nice to maybe learn more about each other since we're in this unique little relationship and all." Ah so he just wanted to talk. It made Heero relax and breathe easier. He hadn't even realized his fists had clenched up until he felt the ache of tight joints.

Duo leaned back in the chair. Heero's dark blue eyes stared at him as the young man seemed to ignore him. But from the way his body tensed up, Heero knew he felt it. He fidgeted a bit in the computer chair like he was trying to get comfortable. Maybe he could tell Heero was undressing him with his eyes because his cheeks looked a little on the red side. The glint of metal around Duo's neck reminded him of the cross he hid beneath his shirt. Well Duo did say they should learn about each other. Maybe it was time to ask about it.

"That." Heero leaned forward pressing his fingers against the cross hidden beneath Duo's shirt. "Why do you hide that?"

"This?" Duo pulled the cross free from his shirt looking at it and frowning at the golden cross that had been painted silver to throw his pursuers off. "It's something I've had since I was little. I assume it's from my real parents but honestly I don't remember. It just seems…important I guess."

"Like a link to your past," Heero said. He reached out again touching the metal warm from Duo's body heat. The past. Here, no one really knew about each other's past. He wanted to know more about Duo's past, about the things done to him, about the pains he had to feel. But he didn't want to make him relive that again, not after the Gundam Deathscythe had just finished invading the poor man's brain for information. Besides he needed to be ready to share his own past before asking about someone else's. He wasn't ready to share that yet. The things he'd done, the regret, the lives he'd taken of men and women he didn't even know.

Live by following your emotions. He took those words to heart now, even if he'd been running from them ever since that incident. He couldn't keep living based on how others told him to or how his own brain told him to. He needed to listen to what his heart told him.

"Let me see your phone."

"Huh?" Duo frowned at him but he reached into his back pocket pulling the phone free before suspicious indigo eyes looked up at him. "You're not going to throw it up against the wall because you're mad Wufei gave me this, right?" Despite the words, Duo still handed it to him anyway.

Heero ignored him in favor of opening up the phone, though Duo didn't seem to mind that he was invading his privacy. It didn't take much to type his phone number in and save it before he tossed the phone back to the braided male who caught it easily. "Here. If somehow something goes wrong tomorrow, call me." He couldn't help it. He was still a little paranoid about Duo going out there into enemy lines without him there.

Duo blinked then looked down at the phone opening it and checking his contacts. The small smile that appeared on Duo's face could have killed Heero if he weren't already so infatuated with him. "Your phone number, huh? Took you long enough to give it to me." He seemed grateful to have it, his thumb gently rubbing back and forth over the small screen as if he were unable to pull himself away. Apparently Heero had made a good move by adding his phone number there. It was like Duo's eyes had sparkled when they lit up to see Heero's name in there.

"Had I known you had a phone, I would have done it sooner." Heero glared at him. Well it might have been his fault for not getting him a phone or at least telling Une that he should have one. Duo was still tampering with his phone when Heero's started going off on the nightstand. He reached over grabbing it and frowned staring down at the unknown number that popped up.

"You gonna answer that, Heero?" The dark haired brunette looked up seeing the grin on Duo's face as he waggled his phone at him showing that he was the one calling him. "Or are you planning on ignoring your first phone call from your boyfriend?" With a grunt, Heero reached down and pressed the ignore button effectively stopping the call as he looked up at Duo. He couldn't help smirking when he saw the cocky grin drop from Duo's face into one of shock. "Hey, don't just hang-mmm!" Whatever complaint Duo came up with died instantly in that moment when Heero dragged him forward by his necklace and kissed him. He stared at the other's wide eyes smirking against the lips before he gave in to his own desires starting to push his tongue into the sweet mouth in front of him.

"Mmm…." Duo started to melt into the kiss sliding forward until he was straddling Heero's lap, taking every opportunity to rub his tongue against the one invading his mouth. Phones were forgotten and dropped onto the bed beside them as Duo held his shirt tightly, digging his nails into it and reminding Heero just how much he enjoyed this as the braided male starting grinding his hips down into him drawing a groan from the veteran preventer agent. It was going to be an enjoyable night. And Heero didn't have a single complaint towards it.

::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

Quatre planned on following Duo's advice by going to Trowa's and just having a talk with him. But he didn't know why he felt so stupid doing this. At least he didn't have to change how he looked. But it still wasn't giving him much confidence in the getting Trowa to like him plan.

It'd sounded good while they'd been at the restaurant eating, but now that he was by himself and sober from the hype he'd received just chatting about it, he was getting a bit nervous. He was afraid of what Trowa would say. Heck, he wasn't even sure if Trowa would let him in. He'd probably turn him away and tell him he was tired. Or that he needed to rest up for tomorrow. Why would he want to talk to Quatre anyway?

So for the past fifteen minutes, Quatre had been standing outside of Trowa's door staring at it and willing himself to either knock on the door or walk away. People were starting to give him strange looks when they walked by but he ignored them. He was in his own turmoil of a world to be caring about what others thought of him, at least others that weren't Trowa anyway.

It came as a surprise to him when the door opened and he found Trowa standing there prepared to walk out. Trowa only took one step forward before an emerald eye looked up at him in surprise and Quatre knew he couldn't keep his own blue eyes from widening in return before he glanced away quickly, looking for anything to use as a distraction not to stare. Trowa seemed perfect to him. And while he'd never been seen talking long with anyone else, he spent plenty of time comfortably being near his sister.

"Quatre?"

"I um…w-was just coming to see if you needed help with any of tomorrow's plans," Quatre said lying through his teeth as he looked back up at Trowa, hoping that his red cheeks weren't so noticeable. "Since it is an unexplored location to the Preventers."

"Hmm…nothing I can think of." Trowa gave him a small smile and the blond couldn't help swallowing as he turned himself away. Well at least Trowa had been nice about the letdown. So much for confessing to the slightly older male.

"Right…" Quatre looked over his shoulder, looking more towards Trowa's shoulder than his face as he tried to hide his disappointment from his face. He never had been good at hiding his emotions like the others. Even the newbie Duo was good at it. "Then…if you need anything, don't forget I'm just a phone call away."

"Actually…I was just coming to look for you," Quatre looked back watching the green eye staring at him, sure the other was looking at him through the blades of hair obscuring it from view. "I need you to look at something for me…if you don't mind." He looked amused for some reason but Quatre didn't really stop to think about why. He turned around so fast with the brightest smile on his face that he hoped he didn't look like a fool. From the way Trowa chuckled at his enthusiasm, he must have. But he didn't care. This was the big opportunity he needed! If he didn't confess this time, he'd never do it!

"N-Not at all. It's not a problem! I'll help any way I can!" Trowa's chuckling settled down leaving a soft smile that seemed to reach right into Quatre's chest and squeeze his heart. The other turned around heading back into his room leaving Quatre the open invitation to follow. It wasn't his first time being inside this room. He'd been here a few times in the past, usually with cases like these where Trowa needed his help with something. And just like many times before, Trowa's room was bare of anything personal except for a smile photo of his family that his sister had given to him when they were younger.

He'd heard the story from Trowa, remembered that the other didn't know his parents well. He'd only been two, maybe three when his parents had died, been killed really. They'd been part of a circus troupe, the train they were using to travel to their next big show being too near a battle between Romefeller and the UESA. One of the mobiles in the battle had fallen over taking out half the train and leaving the other half derailed, bursting with fire. It was luck that he and his sister had been tossed out of the train just in time before it exploded killing their parents trapped inside.

Trowa seemed to know the story, but he didn't so any emotional reactions to it. Maybe because he'd been too young? Though from what he'd gathered from Noin, he'd experienced the story not necessarily through his sister, but through the memories his gundam had forced him to remember. Gundams. They were powerful, exceptional tools. But they forced you to be rebuilt from the inside out and made into the perfect soldier. That's how he felt about his Gundam Sandrock which to him seemed to be alive. Maybe because he could feel something looking at it, maybe because deep inside he could feel its emotions. And because of that, he knew the gundam was there to protect him always, from his past, his present, and his future.

They stopped at the bed, Trowa sitting down on it before he pulled his laptop into his lap starting to type on it. He looked up at Quatre before he gestured for him to have a seat on the bed before continuing to type. Quatre frowned slightly looking at the twenty or more small, micro cameras piled up on the bed. There seemed to be a system to how they were laid out. But whatever that was, it seemed like Trowa was finished with it since he made no indications that where they sat were important. So he pushed them to the side, enough so that they were in a pile in the middle of the bed before he took a seat beside Trowa.

"I'm configuring these to work inside of MS13, at least until we can override their computers for ourselves," he said finishing with the last bit of whatever he was typing before he turned the laptop around and placed it in Quatre's lap before he turned his green eye on him. "I just need a second pair of eyes to make sure it's all coded correctly. I want to avoid malfunctions and useless time wasted for nothing."

"I can take a look into it." Quatre's lax face grew tighter as he stared at the screen. He got more serious when he had to do things like this, things work related that required his concentration. His eyes glanced everywhere around the monitor, taking in configurations and codes that he changed a few of to make them better, faster. He was a computer guru, that's for certain. And while the others were better at sneaking around and fighting, he was better as taking out the big guns, or machines if you mind.

He imagined that if he hadn't met a particular group of people called the Maguanac Corps he would have ended up in some hidden part of space hacking into the world's computers. Either that or stuck following the shoes of his father. So it's thanks to them and thanks to the Preventers that he led a life of prosperity instead of a life of crime. Though he had an idea that OZ would have found him and taken him in even if that thought did disturb him. He'd been offered a job with them in the past before he joined the Preventers. He knew without previous influences, he would have joined them with no regrets. Had he really been this sadistic on the inside?

"Here, I'm changing the codes for these. If I leave it like this, it'll only work for a short amount of time before overheating and malfunctioning." Quatre did his best to glance up inconspicuously only blushing when his eyes met with the other pilot whom he learned had stared at him the whole time. It made him duck his head down quickly as he continued typing, his mind reeling as he tried to figure out why Trowa was staring at him so intensely. Was it something on his face?

"I figured as much." Quatre knew that. He knew Trowa knew how to code these cameras. He'd done it in the past with no problems. Yet here, it was like he'd purposefully made mistakes in the coding. Then he'd said he was coming to get Quatre earlier…to fix this? Was there another aim in Trowa's plans? He tried to ignore how his heart was beating faster. "That's why I needed a second pair of eyes."

"It might have been fine the way it was for a little while." Quatre looked up at him seeing that the other was still staring at him, his fingers twitching like he was thinking about what he wanted to do next. He'd seen Trowa like this in the past, staring at him with this strange intensity that made Quatre think that maybe the other wanted more. "But I'd feel safer knowing they were set up to last longer." Quatre didn't realize he was staring back at him, staring with the dreamiest look on his face as he looked into those eyes. "That way I can watch you longer."

Trowa's eyes widened comically at the words Quatre used. It made Quatre frown as he came out of his daze backtracking in his mind to the last sentence he said. It hadn't come out right…what had he just…! "I-I mean watch out for you longer! Because you know…I…I-I'll be the one watching the cameras up in the control room!"

"Quatre…"

"I didn't mean it inappropriately!" Quatre said getting flustered, not even hearing Trowa call his name, not even noticing the other leaning closer to him as the laptop was moved from his lap. "I…I just…I mean…." He was silenced by the lips touching against his, air leaving his lips in a shuddering breath. It felt soft…so much softer and warmer than he thought it would feel. He couldn't even think about what it was he'd been saying, his eyes staring up through half opened lids to stare into both of Trowa's eyes, easily able to see the hidden orb beneath the brown blades now that he was so close to him. Seeing both eyes like this…it was beautiful. Why did Trowa have such beautiful emerald eyes? So much more sparkly than he'd expected.

Quatre didn't know how he'd ended up on his back, or how he'd ended up with Trowa hovering over him kissing him softly and staring down at him with unshaking confidence. The kiss broke with a soft snap, Trowa leaned back just enough to allow them to breathe. Quatre heard the loud panting, realized it was coming from his lips. He took account of the breath blowing against his own lips picking up on the fact that Trowa was panting as hard as he was.

"Trowa…" He said the name softly, not having the energy to want to get up, not wanting to break this spell. Trowa didn't say anything. It bothered Quatre for a minute that Trowa had leaned forward hiding his eyes from view as he rested his head on Quatre's shoulder. He wondered if maybe Trowa was having regrets about what just happened. The thought made Quatre panic even if he hadn't been the one to start the kiss in the first place. "T-Trowa, did I do something wrong? I-ah…"

Quatre bit his lips, letting his eyes slip shut feeling the gnawing of teeth gently biting at his neck. He gasped out squirming beneath the older male but it wasn't from discomfort. Cool fingers walked across his creamy skin, caressing the soft warmth of his body beneath his shirt and somehow that coolness made his body feel like it was burning up.

Usually he complained about his own body. To him it was too soft, too akin to the rest of the pacifist in his family, too weak. He was more like his mother, less like his father having the baby soft skin and fat cheeks of a daughter rather than the ruggedness and hard body of a son. He'd been teased because of it many times as a child being left to defend himself and forced to show that he could fight even if he didn't like it. He'd come home with plenty of black eyes only to be scolded by his father that he should never fight. There was always a peaceful solution, even if it did involve four or five boys ganging up on you.

So he didn't like his body, not the softness or the weakness it seemed to hold. And yet he was glad to have it right now to feel those fingers touching him so softly, delicately but with just enough pressure to make Quatre grip the hand starting to slide it further down his body. It felt like an addiction, being touched like this by Trowa. He had an idea now of what Duo must have went through with Heero.

"T…Trowa…" The hand was pulled down to his crotch demanding more attention there. It wasn't even so much that he wanted to see Trowa's response as it was that he just needed to feel his touch. He wanted Trowa to touch ever part of him, but he needed Trowa to know just how far he was willing to go for him.

He wasn't disappointed when the other agent groaned against his neck and gripped his crotch starting to massage the hidden flesh. Quatre hadn't expected it to feel this good as he threw his head back against the bed giving out a loud groan he couldn't contain. "N-Ngh…T…Trowa…." The lips kissed his again and he knew he could die from bliss if only for this moment.

::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

By the powers of Nataku, it was so good to be back in the place considered home. He felt his body truly relax for the first time in hours as he stepped free of the space shuttle doors and into the space station he was so used to. The first thing on his agenda had been to check up on Duo and make sure that the things Romefeller's representative had told him weren't true. But it was so late now, 3:00 in the morning to be exact. He didn't want to wake his braided companion up from his slumber nor did he have the energy himself to keep up with the excessive conversation that might have taken place if he did.

Between Treize being a creepy stalker during this morning's meetings and Wufei trying constantly to remember if he saw any signs of Duo's condition, he hadn't had much rest. Taking a nap sitting in an upright position aboard the shuttle back to the space station hadn't helped either. His body ached in so many places including spots he didn't think could ache. Right now he just wanted a hot shower and to get some much needed sleep.

"Get some rest, Wufei," Po said stepping beside him and resting a hand on his shoulder which he quickly shrugged off disapprovingly with a frown. But he did look up at her, relaxing the frustrated look on his face at the worried look etching her features. She'd never admit to being worried out loud, not where other ears could hear, but he was sure she'd try to interrogate him on his problem later. Not that he could give her any information, not about this anyway. He needed to be certain of things first.

"Good night," he said not even sounding like he meant it as he started to walk off. He was almost out of the space station before he started thinking back to the words she'd told him while they were on the shuttle. Duo had a mission tomorrow. Granted he would be going with Trowa and not alone, the fact that he was going right after becoming a gundam pilot bothered him. Weren't they supposed to be protecting him? It wasn't like this was just a typical mission, they were sneaking into a place they'd never been before. What if it really did belong to OZ? What if they found out Duo was in their midst and captured him for their sick experiments again?

Wufei shook his head as he started walking down the hallway for the elevator. No, he trusted Trowa to be able to keep him safe. Besides, he'd passed the gundam test by becoming a gundam pilot. He'd be able to handle himself if he had to. Wufei just wished he'd been able to go with him

The first thing he did when he got back to his room was undressed, his shirt being slipped over his head and tossed down on the floor leaving him bare above the waist. He wasn't embarrassed by his body in the least, looking up in the mirror placed behind his door to stare at the pectoral muscles and the smaller but visible muscles on his body. Being only the age of eighteen, he didn't expect to have a very heavily muscled body. Not that he would have wanted one anyway.

This size was perfect for moving and sneaking in and out of tight places. It made his enemies underestimate his true strength and his skills. People took him for granted because of his youthfulness, but he didn't mind showing them just how good he was.

The rest of his clothes came off not soon afterwards and he put them away within his dirty bin before he went into the bathroom for a quick shower. He wouldn't take too long with his shower. He planned on greeting Duo in the morning and congratulating him on becoming a Preventer before his mission began. Again the young indigo eyed male put a smile on his face. He didn't think he'd smiled since his left, not since that one time when he'd gotten to read Duo's text to him.

That thought made him frown again as he started washing his hair. Treize had seemed so sure of Duo's condition to the point he'd said Wufei would come to see him again. What made the older male think he'd come running back to him? How did he know he wouldn't just take the serum to the research lab and have them make an antidote for the drug? But he knew why he couldn't do it.

Aside from the four of them and the three colonels, the rest of the station didn't know what Duo was capable of. If they did, it could cause even more discomfort to the people onboard than the indigo eyes did. He'd be isolated, stared at like he was a freak or a monster. It'd turn into people demanding he be put down to Duo being entrapped inside of room like he'd initially thought he would. Sure, he was strong, but there was no explaining away the quick healing injuries or the fact that Duo could probably pick up a truck with one hand if he wanted to. And if Duo didn't become isolated, he'd definitely become the science experiment he'd been in OZ.

Wufei growled shutting the water off and grabbing a towel to dry his hair off. A spare towel was used to dry his dripping body before he left it in the restroom and walked back into the bedroom nude as the day he was born. What did it matter? It was his room. No one should be just waltzing in anyway. He used the towel on his head to rub out the excess water in his hair trying not to think about the eyes of the representative or how it seemed like they stared at him like they were undressing him.

It made him uncomfortable though he wanted to strangle the part of his mind that didn't seem to mind the other looking at him like that. Treize hadn't seemed like such a bad guy…aside from being a part of Romefeller. But then Wufei blamed that on the guy being a manipulative bastard. The guy knew what he was doing, how to play the game. Wufei was just one of his little chess pieces. That's exactly what it felt like. Chess.

Right now it seemed like they were playing the game with Treize being two steps ahead of him. Duo was the king pierce on his side, the one that needed to be protected by the other pieces. That made Wufei and the others the important sacrificial pieces, the rook, the bishop, the knight…the pawns. And then there was the queen, the most powerful piece, the piece that stood in the way of the rest of the opposing army to protect its faithful partner. Wufei was there to protect Duo, by any means necessary. If he had to sneak behind the other side, slip past the rooks and the knights of his enemies to get closer to their king, then he needed to start getting to work on his strategy.

Because right now, he felt like he was in check…and it'd only be a matter of time before it became a checkmate and Duo was either dead or in the hands of the enemy. And if Wufei and the others were destroyed, there'd be nothing left to protect their king, that important piece that might be able to bring OZ down somehow.

Still, all he could do for now was watch and observe. They were at a stalemate and it was Wufei's turn. But he only had so much time left to act. He needed to think. While he wouldn't mind just flat out finding Treize and killing him, he knew the repercussions wouldn't be pleasant. No, killing the man wouldn't bring them an end to this or they would have assassinated him a long time ago. And Treize knew this…which was why they were playing this little game now. Grr…how much more frustrating did that man have to be?!

Wufei was just about to grab his comb and return to the restroom to dry his hair when the phone lying on his computer desk went off. It was definitely unexpected, especially since it was like 3:38 in the morning now. Who was calling him this late? With a frown, Wufei walked over to the phone and stared down at the unknown number blaring across the screen. Well he didn't recognize that number. A wrong number perhaps?

He sat on his bed holding the phone in his hand, the towel from his hair draped over his shoulders so the damp hair could drip on the towel and not on his bare skin. His skin felt cool now that it wasn't surrounded by the heated steam of an almost scalding shower. Well there wasn't a reason to keep freezing if it was just a wrong number. He was just about to get up to walk away when the phone went off again, frustrating him when he looked at it to see the same number calling back once again. He let it go, waiting until the second ring where the buzzing stopped. Good…did they give up now? Did they finally realize he wasn't who they wanted him to be?

After the third time following the second time, frustration got the better of him as he gripped the phone tightly pulling it to his ear and pushing the talk button before going off on the person on the other side of the line. "Look, whoever the hell you are you've got the wrong number! Stop calling my phone!"

"My, you are quite cranky in the morning, I see. Are you unable to sleep?" Wufei tensed up hearing the deep, sensual voice of the male on the other end, literally coming close to dropping the phone as his eyes widened. Instead he gripped it tighter, his jaw clenching up as he tried not to react to this man, this stalker.

"…How did you get this number?" His voice held suspicion. But then considering who was on the other side of the line, he wasn't surprised by that. How had Treize found his phone number? Did the stalker sneak into his room and hack into his phone? But when would Wufei have left anything behind?

His heart was pounding in his chest. He told himself it was just from the fact that his enemy had found his more personal line and not from the fact that said man was talking to him. Treize wasn't attractive at least Wufei told himself that was the case. Even if the thought of the man was making it harder to breath and giving heat to his cheeks. No, he wasn't blushing. Not over this guy.

"You are very defensive this morning," the voice said on the other side giving a low, hoarse chuckle that sent a shiver down Wufei's spine from just the sound of it. It reminded him of what he'd have thought one of those phone sex voices would sound like. Slow, meticulous, exacting in every word, every syllable. And it got to him in a way he never expected forcing him to work harder to ignore the sound of his voice. "How else would you be able to get in touch with me when it comes time to get more of 02's little medicine?"

"You seem to keep forgetting that I have no plans of seeing you again unless it's to kill you." Wufei looked over at the small serum on his desk for a distraction. It reminded him of who it was he was talking to, of the fact this wasn't a friend but someone of the opposing force, someone who probably had a hand in the creation of Fly-Z and the torture of small children and many other innocent people.

"Don't be like that, Nataku." Treize said the name tauntingly making it very certain that he knew it wasn't Wufei's real name. He didn't seem to be bothered by Wufei's threat, actually giving another little chuckle instead that made Wufei want to throw the phone across the room just to remove that pleasant sound from his ears. "Tell me, have there been any changes in 02 yet?" Wufei was a little surprised by the more serious change tone, his eyes widening just a little bit with the unprepared for question. Then again he shouldn't have been surprised. Treize wouldn't want his little 'toy' getting hurt or sick. That's why he was going through Wufei to get to Duo.

"Not that it's any of your business…but I haven't seen him yet," Wufei said, hesitation in his voice. He was in that comfort zone that place where answering Treize came with ease. It wasn't like it mattered in this case. Treize already knew that Duo was here. Well he was telling the truth. At least the attention wasn't on him anymore. Besides, he didn't plan on giving out any information that might jeopardize Duo's safety.

"I'm hanging up now," Wufei said wanting to end this conversation as quickly as possible. "I'm just getting out the shower and I'd like to rest myself without hearing your annoying voice for a while."

"Interesting." Wufei barely noticed the change of tone in Treize's voice. Was it delight? "This would mean I've interrupted you at a most inappropriate time. I'm sure you've had no chance to dress yourself in any attire."

"No, I haven't," Wufei said frowning feeling his eye twitching remembering now that Treize did just interrupt him in the early part of the morning. Why wasn't this man in bed yet?! He hoped the frustration was in his voice. He wasn't happy with this situation. "Because of your aggravatingly annoying phone call, I'm sitting here cold and naked and…w-wait a minute! Why am I even talking about this with you?!" He knew he couldn't deny the heat flushing to his face or the intrigued hum on the other side of the line followed by a chuckle of amusement. "Quit harassing me!"

"If it pleases you." Wufei swore he could hear the smirk in the voice along with that seductive tone that accompanied the words. In fact, he'd almost say that Treize sounded a little…husky. It did nothing to fix his own discomfort as he literally found himself pulling a blanket over his lap feeling somehow exposed even if he wasn't actually being looked at. The heat in his cheeks felt like it could be hotter than the sun. "Though if you desire further pleasing, you are always welcome to come to me and-"

Wufei didn't even let him finish as he hung on him and tossed the phone onto the bed beside him as he laid back on it staring up at the ceiling. His arm rested over his forehead, his lips pulled tight as he closed his eyes and tried to calm his body and soul. He wasn't going to let Treize get to him. And the best way to do that was to just hang up on him. He really didn't care right now. He was tired, even if his mostly damp hair was wetting the sheets, he almost didn't feel like getting up.

His phone buzzed once beside him and when he picked it up letting it hover over his head as he read the message, his eyes narrowed at who it came from. Treize Khushrenada.

"Sweet dreams. .Ku." A taunt towards his code name. And Treize had the nerve to add a small smiley to the end of the text! Who did this man take him for?! Damn it, it was going to take him forever to get to sleep. He might as well get up and dry his hair now. Maybe the sound would drown out how sexy Treize sounded over the phone. Maybe it would drown out the image of the older man in his head, a man he had no business thinking about in either this way or communicating with in the first place. A man that was his enemy.

A so completely revised this thing extremely from the original one. XD More details, and much more fun teasing moments. And I especially enjoyed teasing Wufei a lot in this. Next part we'll finally get to work on the mission!
