Entering the morning kissed autumn earth of Burgess was a sight to behold. Only Seraphina and Dathanna had nothing to say, both familiar with the Autumn Girl's work. Calor smiled at the hues of the earth, where he had green a plenty, and never had time to enjoy spring miracles or autumn bounty. Jack smiled seeing the last bit of being awake before he would return to lull the land to sleep.
Thor was ever fascinated with the simplicities of Midgard homes. It was different from his time with Jane Foster and with the Man of Iron. This seemed like a little healthy village. Loki on the other hand was fascinated by the sharp cutting autumn wind that was Niether warm nor terribly cold.
North stared at the colors. Such colors that he hadn't seen in years coloring hos imagination. How could he have forgotten? Tooth wasn't much better. Living in such a warm climate with vibrant cloth and glass had made her forget truly how bright nature was. She found herself missing it greatly. Sandy sighed feeling the warmth of the sun. So rarely did he get to enjoy it's blinding light in favor of flickering lights of stars.
Pitch gave a small frown. This was where he had held his own lair. Under an abandaned bed in the woods. Close to Jack's pool. Ironically where they would begin to make there way on foot. Hopefully Bunny wouldn't notice them.
"Here," Jack said begining to desend. Everyone followed the snowy haired boy to the place of his rebirth. There was a hint of magic in the air surrounding the pond in a timeless and almost ethereal feel. Similar to Frigga's own garden back in Asgard. Though given Jack's recieving of his birth mother on Midgard, it may not be the best thing to tell him.
As it was, there were clear signs of Jotun influence as well. The lake was already frozen, a stark contrast to the comparably balmy air. The leaves had all fallen making the limbs of trees bare. And frost was painted on the bark of the trees elegantly creating a sophisticated mural.
"Alright. Where to now Loki?" Jack asked. Loki closed his eyes. He felt the stirrings of warmer magic beneath him. The area was saturated in Bunny's energy.
"Follow me."
"Angie! Angie!" Sophie giggled as she ran around. Jamie didn't notice. She was good at hiding. She giggled as she ran into the forested area near her home. She didn't see a large tree root above the ground until she tripped over it. She screamed as she fell, not connecting with the ground. She fell down a rather large hole at the base of the tree. Her echoed cries were muffled by the cavern's padded moss.
When she stopped tumbling she started sniffling. Her knee had a boo boo. She pushed herself off the ground only to be surprised. There were pretty colors everywhere. And big fuzzy warm creatures like in her big brother's picture books! She giggled forgetting her scrape as she jumped on one of their back's. She laughed even harder when said creature plucked her off it's back.
"Fuzzy Hug!" she demanded. The large creature blinked at her. She heard something coming. With the noise the creature drew her close to its' chest, while still painting what looked like eggs. Sophie was still as she threaded her fingers into the fur. She was pretending she was a baby monkey. Like at the zoo.
Though she also felt the uncomfortable feeling in the air.
"C'mon you blokes. You can work fastah than that," growled a voice. Sophie whimpered as she buried her face into the brown fur. She could hear a funny noise, like a foot had moved but didn't leave the ground.
"What chu hidin mate?" The voice growled. She felt a strange rumble from the chest she was clinging to. Strange noises assaulted her ears.
"You best let me see it mate. Fore I lose me temper."
Another onslaught of what seemed to be strange words came from the fuzzy being.
"You barmy waste of space!"
She heard scary sounds. The arms tightened the hug before falling limp. Sophie cried out as she was torn from the being. She was held up by the scruff of her shirt. She was turned to face the face of the voice.
A raggedy furry thing. With long ears like a bunny or a kangaroo like Jamie had shown her once in a book. Long buck teeth bared in a snarl. Fur matted and slightly dirty. Eyes were a feral green that reminded her of the bad magic from watching My Little Pony. With fear and shock, her lip began to wobble, her eyes scrunched up and she began to cry. The captor blinked seeing the kid in tears.
He felt the nigglings of Hope in her. Hope to see her mom and dad. Hope her brother would find her. Hope that the Yeti would be okay. Hope that the Angel would protect her. So a religious kid?
"I ain't gonna hurt yah lil ankle bitah."
It did little to comfort her as she continued to cry. She squirmed when he drew her into his arms.
"Stop squirmen for I drop yah."
With these little words of advise, he took off at full speed deeper into the warren. He couldn't have this little believer getting hurt or being in the way. He didn't notice that her hope was dwindling with every step further made into the warren. Just that she seemed inconsolable. What was he supposed to do with a crying ankle biter anyway? This was not part of his job.
Pitch paused momentarily as they followed Loki to one of the warren's entrances. Fear. And it was close. It was close, and it was young. Innocent. Beneath them. His eyes narrowed. He thought the Pooka could sink no lower. Could he be so distraught that he would take a child?
Afterall, to take a person to a spirit's safe haven usually meant to turn the person into one. He called forth his nightmares quietly. Instructing them to find and seal the entrances to the warren. Fill them with nightmares so horrendous that no one but the most naive of minds could escape. That rabbit would rue the day he dealt with fear.
So Bunny has Sophie. Sophie is scared of Bunny.
