Just remember that I do everything for reason and they're people that Shawn needs. But I not killing Turner!
I hope yall like it please review!
You would think that I be excited to that my lost in a dream brother was standing in front of me. But that moment, I felt angry. Pissed. Pissed that he wasn't standing here when my mom left or when dad was drunk.
"You turned your back on your father and on me." I yelled.
"We need to talk" he whispered trying to calm me down.
It didn't work. I stormed out without looking back.

I was hanging out with my dad at the trailer; he promised me that even though I was living with John he still wanted us to see each other.
"So how was your day boy?" He asked while he was trying to fix a toaster he had broken in range.
"Just another day" I shrugged doing my math homework.
"Anything happen?"
"Just another date" I shrugged again.
"I like this takin were doing. It's good" He nodded. I didn't say it but I agreed.
We heard a knock on our door.
"Yea, come in" Dad causally called out.
The door opened and Jack was stepping into our living room.
Dad walked to him not yet realizing his lost son was in front of him, "How can I…" he started but once he looked at Jack's blue eyes, our blue eyes he figured it out,"…well look at you."
"How are you?" Jack stumbled nodding nervously.
Dad took another deep breath, "I'm okay…this is a surprised"
"I ran into Shawn today" Jack said.
Shit.
Dad turned around looking at me confused, "You told nothing special happened today?"
"Yea I did" I smirked.
"Shawn don't be like we got ourselves a little family reunion cookin here." Dad whispered before turning back to Jack, "So um…how's your step dad treating you?"
"He treats me well" Jack nodded.
"You still in school?" Dad asked.
"I finished high school. Now I'm going to Pembroke." Jack replied.
"Wow" dad chuckled "I got me a boy in college." Then he stopped laughing "I guess your step daddy raised you up good."
"Yea" I smirked again "raised him up so good that hasn't come to visit. What are you even doing here Jack?"
"Maybe he needs a place to stay" dad told me.
I rolled my eyes. It disgusted me that my dad could be so caring towards Jack.
Jake motioned his hand, "No that's okay I got an apartment by the college."
"I asked you what you doing here Jack" I bit.
"I have a brother here." He bit back, "I wanted to see you."
I rolled my eyes, "Yea right"
"You know seeing you two brothers together gives me an idea" Dad started, "…now I don't get a lot of ideas but I think this is a good one." He took a breath then said it, "He wants a roommate and I want you to live him"
"I would love to have you as my roommate. It's a great apartment." Jack pushed.
"Oh so Jack is trying to rescue me trailer life." I argued.
"No, that's not why I'm here." Jack defended then he bit his lip, "Forget it I got to go"
He stomped to the door. He grabbed to the door knob. Then he turned back to me and murmured, "I just thought it would good for the both of us."
I heard him clearly, but said nothing back. Jack shook his head and stepped out.
"What are you trying to do?" I yelled at my dad.
"Shawn take it." He said.
"He means nothing to me."
"He's brother and he's good boy. I may not be much of father but I know this is right."
"Well you're right about one thing, you're not much of a father" I screamed as I stormed out.

"No, why should move in with him?" I ranted to Cory and John.
"Shawn, you should try it. Jack seems pretty nice and it sounds like he wants to bond with you." Cory said as he sat next to me on couch.
"If he's soo nice then why didn't he write me back…at least once?"
"Maybe you should ask him" Turner budded in form the couch, "I bet there's a lot that you two need to talk about."
"I ain't taking to him."
"Ain't?" he bit, "Really ain't?"
Oh that's right; I was living with an English teacher.
"Sorry" I smirked, "But I'm not moving with him. Dad just wants an excuse to take off."
"Hunter…I would never kick you out…but I think you should think about trying it."
That shocked me.
"John…can I even do that…legally?"
"Well I can still be your legal guardian to take of anything major" Turner replied, "…but I really think you should get to know brother while you have the chance…and if it doesn't work out you can always come back here. So why not try it?"
Cory wrapped his around my shoulder, "Shawnie, you have spent all of these years dreaming of what kind of big bother Jack would be. You own it to yourself to find out."
"Hoink" little Cory agreed sniffing at my leg.
"See Shawn, even Little Cory wants you to try it." Cory said, and then…he smiled at me.
Damn it! Why am I so weak to that smile?
I lifted Little Cory on the couch and petted him. For the longest time I thought Little Cory was the only living thing that I was able to take care of. By now it was hard imagine sleeping without him. I got up and walked to the phone.
Jack had insisted on leaving a number and I called it.
"Hey Jack, its Shawn"
"Shawn" Jack cheered, "Hey"
"Hey…um I've been thinking about this living with you thing"
"Oh"
Then I asked him maybe one of the weirdest questions he has ever been asked, "How do you feel about living with pigs?"
He said nothing for a few seconds then said, "Um I don't know"
"Dose your apartment allow them?"
"Um…there's not a rule against it. They allow big dogs…so I guess…um why do you ask?"
I looked over at Cory holding his breath trying not to laugh.
"I have a pet pig" I said with as straight of a face as I could make.
Cory fell into the couch laughing. I started laughing too.
"Seriously?" said the other end of the line.
"Yea"
There was another pause.
"That's awesome man."
I laughed, "Seriously?"
"Yea, that sounds interesting. My mom would never let me get a dog, much less a pig."
"Yea it is…so 'if' I moved in you would be okay with me bringing my pig?"
He chuckled, "Hey as long as you pick up the poop and whatever, I'm down with it."
I smiled. Cory and John were smiling too. I still had anger and resentment toward him…but somehow I had I feeling that we had potential become at least friends. If he was fine with living with Little Cory, then why shouldn't I be fine living with him?
I closed my eyes and took a breath, "So…dose the offer still stand? Because I would like to have you as a roommate"

About two days later I walked into my new apartment, the fourth place I have live in.
"Hey buddy" Jack greeted, "Welcome to your new home."
I chuckled I had heard that enough times. "Mm, it comes with hard floors and high ceilings"
"And a brother" Jack cheered, trying to make some meaningful brother to brother moment.
I just faked a smile.
That night the three of us celebrated with ordering pizza.
Frist we settled the topping debate. I wanted pineapple. Jack wanted pepperoni. Eric wanted ham. So we ended getting a combo of the three.
"So if aliens came to earth and told that they would pay you million dollars to study your brain, would you do it?' Eric asked with a mouthful with pizza bits.
I laughed, "Aliens uh? I'd give it a shot."
"I don't get it." Jack said shaking his head. "There is no logic in any of that. How did they get to earth? How would know about American currency? And out of all of the people in this world why would they choose your brain?"
I covered my mouth and laughed.
Eric got up in Jack's face, "Why does everything have to be logical Jackie?" Eric smiled at him. "You're properly smartest guy I've met. Why can't alien study your mind? I would want to study yours"
Jack blushed and turned away.
I felt something strange was happening, but didn't know what to think of it.
"Um...Jack" I spoke up, "Why don't you ask one."
Eric sat back in his seat still smiling at Jack.
Jack swallowed his bite and nodded, "Okay, what do you want for yourself this year?"
"Wow" Eric laughed, "That is so guidance counselor."
"Well I just thought it would good for all of us to get to know each other on a deep level. So Eric do you have deeper level?"
Eric sat there quietly biting his lip.
Jack leaned forward, "There must be something that you want deeply."
Eric had no snappy comeback. He just stayed silent staring as if Jack had taken his tongue away.
Jack turned to me, "What about you?"
I knew what I wanted to say. What I wanted was not be gay anymore. It had seemed to be nothing but pain for me. I mean I had kissed one boy…that was enough to get it out of my system…right? I just wanted to start a different life in this new apartment. I really wanted to work building my new family: Mr. Turner, the Matthews, and…Jack…we haven't really talked about it. And honestly I didn't want to.
So instead I just shrugged, "I don't know"

I was leaning against a locker with some girl whose name I don't even remember. Her time was up. Two days were all I could stand of her.
"Well time is up." I waved her away.
"Aww please Shawn what if I…"
I held up my hand in her face. I hated it when girls tried sexual offering. By that point it just annoyed me.
She walked away defeated. I felt sorry for girl, but I wasn't going to show it. I just shrugged and whispered, "So whose next?"
Then I heard a loud laugh. I turned around to see a girl watching me.
She was wearing a flower pattern vest. Her hair was in this strange dreadlocks up do, like a lot of other black girls had. Usually I thought the look was horrible, but she somehow made it work.
"What are you laughing at?"
"Oh just watching the great Shawn Hunter at work." She sarcastically smirked.
"Oh really" I smirked right back about to walk off.
Then she dramatically said,"Th' expense of spirit in a waste of shame. Is lust in action, and till action, lust"
I stopped, "that's Shakespeare."
"I know." She smirked, "It's from one of my favorite poems."
"Sonnet 129?" I said "Is perjur'd, murd'rous, bloody, full of blame, savage, extreme, rude, cruel, not to trust."
She laughed, "It's about horn dogs like you."
Wow. Wow, if she only knew.
I nodded, "Yea kind of, it's about lust and how it can be shameful and twisted." I swallowed and looked straight at her. "Maybe that's what I do, but the girls for some reason keep coming…I don't know why but they do."
"Well you're kinda cute, you know, for a white boy." She joked.
I laughed. This girl was confusing the hell out of me…but I was too curious to walk away.
I smirked "Well you're kinda cute too, for a black girl." I chucked.
She laughed and snapped her fingers.
Then I did something that I had done many times before…but this was different.
"Hey would like to go out with sometime?" I asked. Not for a cover up. Not to prove something. I asked her out because I really wanted to get to know her.
She smiled, "Okay, I'll give you a day or two."
"Oh by the way, what's your name?"
"Angela"
