Disclaimer: I don't own Smash Bros. The series itself belongs to Nintendo.

Author's Note:

Originally this chapter was supposed to be published at the beginning of Summer around E3 Week. But recent events made me change the date of its release.

Now's a better time to make this chapter available now.

Again, the following two part episode contains especially impactful subject matter on the villains known as terrorists. It's not for the butthurt people. Readers' discretion is advised.

And this episode will feature once again my original OCs from the book Casey Tresor and the Book of Wonders. This time, it's two characters. Plus this episode will be darker compared to past ones.

Now on with the show.

Our World: New York City, September 11th 2001

-Takashi Rischio Yashida-Dimentio entered his middle school classroom of Spanish.

-Yes. Middle school at 8 years old. Takashi was the smartest kid on the block. So smart the school system let him skip a couple of grades and now he was a 6th Grader rather than a 3rd Grader.

He was all smiles, ready to take on today's Spanish exam. It was going to be an easy breezy A. He had studied all week, memorized all the terms, and did all the homework faster than he could say Konnichiwa Salud. Which meant good morning in both Italian and Japanese together.

But the second he had stepped foot into the class, he saw all the students and the teacher, glued to the TV screen.

He froze. Were they watching a movie?

"Uhhm..." he muttered.

All heads turned toward him. Looks of shock and terror reflected the students and Mrs. Laguardia's eyes.

"Are you guys watching a movie or something?" Takashi asked, pushing his glasses up by its rim.

One girl shook her head. Her name was Lisa. Takashi has had a crush on her since she transferred from Minnesota, but he never had the courage to ask her out. Usually she was all smile.

But like the others, she was NOT smiling. She was horrified.

"What's going on?" Takashi asked before his eyes turned to the TV screen. He saw the two towers. One of them was shooting out smokes from its side.

"Hey, that's where my dad works!" Takashi said.

"Yeah, but it's on fire." Lisa said, "Aren't you worried?"

Takashi looked confused, "Worried?"

"Something bad is happening man." Aaron, another middle-school kid said.

Takashi looked back at Aaron. He wasn't smiling anymore, "Wait. Is it for real?"

The kids nodded.

"My dad really does work there."

"We know." Lisa said, literally shaking in her seat.

Mrs. Laguardia stood up and went to the TV to turn it off, "Kids I think we should stop watching-"

"OH, another one just hit! Something else just hit!" one of the reporters shouted through the TV, catching everyone's attention. Laguardia froze as the image suddenly switched to the second twin tower suddenly getting engulfed in flames. Its top half vanished into an explosive fireball.

Lots of 'Oh my god' exclamation filled the classroom. The kids gasped in terror. Mrs. Laguardia covered her mouth in horror. Takashi's jaws dropped.

"Oh my god..." Takashi whimpered. Next thing he knew he left the classroom, but his eyes never left the TV screen. Laguardia usually scowled her students from leaving the classroom without permission, but this time she was too focused on what was going on she didn't bother.

Takashi managed to pull his phone out and started dialing for his dad.

Next thing he knew his phone buzzed. It was Mom. She was calling him.

"Mom?" he answered, his voice rattled, "Mommy!"

"Takashi!" she was practically screaming, "Are you all right? Are you at school? Are you okay?"

"I'm fine, Mom. I'm at school."

"Ohh thank God! Did you get hold of Dad? Please tell me you got hold of Dad!"

"I was just about to call him but then-"

She started wailing in terror, "Oh my god!"

"What? What?"

"I've tried calling him so many times! I didn't wanted to tell you until you were okay, but—"

"Something bad is happening at the Two Towers!" Takashi said, "I know." he glanced around the hallway, completely filled with students glaring at the live TV screen, "The whole school is watching!"

He could tell she was in tears on the phone.

"But Mom, he's gonna be okay. It's Dad. He's always okay. I mean he might be stuck in traffic and—"

"Honey, you don't understand!" her voice rattled, "His meeting is supposed to be at 9AM, but he left for work since 7AM!"

Takashi blinked. That's explained why he was in such a hurry this morning. He checked his phone clock. 9:13AM.

He almost lost grip of his phone and his heartbeat escalated. He could hear his Mommy wailing over the phone.

"Ohhh god, Henri!" she said. That was Dad's name, "Please, answer your phone! Pleaaase!"

"Mom! Mommy!" Takashi tried to sound calm, "He's gonna answer! Trust me! He's gonna—"

Silence. Takashi looked back at his phone again. She hung up.

He looked around. He could see students and teachers in their classroom. Some filled up the hallway to look at the big TV monitor showing live footage of two buildings in smokes and flames.

Was this the end of the world? What was going on?

Why was Dad not calling Mom?

He took off, running down the hallway.

Then something happened. The entire hallway transformed into the busy street of Upstate New York.

He was now near the Twin Towers location, running. His mom was running by his side. Both couldn't run faster. They couldn't get to Dad faster.

Mom slowed down, out of breath. But she didn't stop. She scooped Takashi to her arms and continued running again. Takashi looked back at her in surprise and worry. She was more concern about her family's safety and her child's wellbeing than her own. He exhaustively pressed his head down her chest. He was so out of breath.

New York was in a state of chaos. Tons of police, firefighters, and ambulances filled the streets. Some blocked traffic. Takashi glanced at the blocked cars, hoping, praying to see his dad inside one of these cars, watching the horror of his workplace on fire. He glanced at people coming out of a massive cloud of smoke that blinded half of the city—faces of victims covered in soot and blood and heroes who saved them from the burning building emerged out of the dark cloud.

He glanced around at authorities and other concerned citizens, trying to come up with a plan of action. Some sign of his Dad. Any sign of his Daddy.

None of them were Daddy.

"Excuse me?" Mom shouted through the cries and tears of terror in the crowded city. "CAN ANYONE HELP ME, PLEASE!"

"Can I help you ma'am?" spoke a firefighter, catching mother and son's attention.

"Yes-yes! Please I need your help! My husband is in that building! My son's father!"

"What's his name?" the firefighter asked.

"Henri? Henri Dimentio?"

"You're gonna have to step back ma'am. There's too much smoke and we don't want to put you and your child at risk."

Mom stepped closer to the firefighter, "I want to see my husband. Is he okay? Is he all right?" She then started yelling, "Henri? Henri?! Where are you?"

"Ma'am! Yelling won't help. We have teams getting people out of the building as fast as we can. We'll give you an update once we're able to rescue your—"

"Able? Able? No, not able! You have to do it now! I can't—" she choked back tears, "we can't leave until we know he's okay!"

"EVERYBODY GET AWAY!" a voice shouted and the next thing Takashi saw was pure terror. A stampede came rushing past him, Mom and the firefighter.

"THE TOWER IS COLLAPSING! THE TOWER IS COLLAPSING!" someone else shouted. Then the dark cloud darkened all the more. Smokes filled lungs and eye sights. Then rocks and shards of glasses and other form of materials flew across the street like a death rain of arrows. Mom and the fire fighter had no choice but to run.

Mom held on tight to her son. Takashi buried his face hard into Mom's chest to avoid the horrible sand hurricane going into his eyes.

...then everything went foggy with everyone screaming, confirming the worst possible news in world history ever.

The second twin tower collapsed.

Our World: Unknown Location, Present Day

"Wakey-wakey... Rise and shiney..."

A ghastly voice filled the dark and musky air of an unknown cave.

Couple of gentle pats on his cheek stirred Jace back from a horrible dream; into yet another nightmare.

Only this time it felt very real.

He groaned at the assaulting smell of cement and heat. The echoing sound of footsteps and soil grinding each other caught his ears. The fresh chill of air embalming his surrounding caressed his face with the warmth of bright light at the eye corner. He blinked, clearing the blurry gaze to spot a lantern set beside him; its illuminating glare made him flinch away.

"Ugh..." he groaned. "What the..."

He tried to move his hand over his face to block the light; but a strap of fastened leather had forced both his wrists and arms on a cold metal chair. He tried moving his legs too and they too were locked in the same straps of leather. He could feel his muscles aching, pounding in his chest and forearms in ways he couldn't even describe. The pain somehow contributed to him making an effort to breathe. His brain felt like drowning in some thick pool.

"Wuh-what?" He groaned, struggling to recollect the last thing he did during his day. He gazed over at a couple of figures towering before him. As soon as his vision became clear, so was the shady figures he faced. It was a group of men in military outfit, strapped with MP5 submachine guns.

His olive eyes widened.

"You're finally awake!"

A voice spoke, startling him to his left.

He saw a man next to him. One very bad man.

His face was old. Like, really old. In his 80s or something. A skeleton ready to shed its last breaking skin. He had black pointy beard that was fading to a low gray, balding dark strand of hair peeking out of his red turban, and had a black priestly gown with a sash.

"For a moment there I thought my men had killed you by accident." The old man tutted, showing a hint of a smile. One tooth was a fang.

"Oh sh*t!" Jace gasped. He was WIDE awake now! He could feel his heart pounding his chest, his level of panic rising, hyperventilation overloaded his nervous system… The man he kept seeing on TV News as America's Most Wanted terrorist; the man who killed his father and millions of people in America and the world; the man responsible for the 9/11 attacks-that same man was sitting RIGHT next to him!

Amiir Black!

He struggled on the chair that held him. But as soon as he started to struggle, the men with the machine guns raised their weapons up at him and he froze up.

Amiir pressed a finger to his lips, "Shh…"

Jace was helpless. There was no way out of this one. Couple of tears streamed down his cheeks.

"You...you're him..." Jace stuttered.

"Indeed I am." Amiir calmly replied, "Rumor has it you've been seeking my head. Well, here I am. But I hate to disappoint, my head isn't for sale; so I can't give you my head. But I can give you this one."

A loud body crack was heard dropping to the floor. Then it was heard rolling until it reached under Jace. Jace looked down and saw the head of a young blond man.

"AAHH!" Jace screamed, moving back, "HUNT!"

"Hunt?" Amiir frowned, "Was that his name?" he looked around and the soldiers shook their heads.

"Nah, his name was Bob. Or was it DanielloTheTroll? I couldn't tell since people online like to create an alter-ego of themselves just because they cannot embrace who they truly are," Amiir's face suddenly darkened, "ungrateful self-centered American spoiled brats who likes to pick on the WEAK!"

Jace trembled, so terrified at the sight of Amiir Black and a human head that a wave of nausea built into his stomach and rose to overwhelm him.

"Regardless," Amiir went on, "I really should rethink of the way my soldiers attack people." he leaned back on the chair that was next to Jace, "After all there's a big difference between rendering a person unconscious—"

Amiir then raised a butcher knife and ran a finger across its blade, as if admiring its sharpness, "...or killing them."

Jace swallowed hard against the bile that rose in his throat, "...you sick... twisted..." he mumbled.

"Oh what's that? Please do finish that sentence." Amiir set the knife down on a table next to him and stood up, "You look pretty nervous. Would you like some Kava Tea?" he went over to another table at the far off distance, "I just boiled up some water. Fresh from the Nile."

"You mean fresh from the sewers?" He tried to joke.

The old terrorist laughed, shaking his head. He grabbed a kettle and poured it on a tea cup.

"I've heard so much about you." Amiir said, "you're what them American people call uhh-the White Knight: Jacen Readers. You were on TV."

"So were you. And it's Riders."

"You saved your sister from uhh... giant King Kong."

"Jenn is my cousin, and it's Donkey Kong."

"Are you always this strict about correcting names?"

Butchering them don't help the cause. He wanted to say, but that dead head next to him made that nausea in his stomach and throat burn. He leaned back on the chair to avoid contact and smelling the corpse stench so close to him.

"We have so much in common, Readers." Amiir said, "we could be brrrrothers!"

"Brothers..." Jace gasped, "I... I save people. You... KILL them!" Jace shouted.

Amiir took a sip of his tea, "Oh?"

"Yeah, remember 9-11? All those people you've killed? My dad was one of them! You killed him too!" he shook his head, "What did they ever do to you?"

"Oh that wasn't me." Amiir said innocently, "I was just responsible for the design part of the attack. The others were the true killers."

"But you started it. You made blueprints and they follow through." Jace looked around, not knowing where the panic was taking him. "What's going on? Where am I? What is this damn place?"

Amiir glanced around, "The catacombs. Somewhere in the middle of Afghanistan." He then snarled, "Where my people used to live in peace until YOU Americans invaded us!"

Jace expected that, being in the middle of nowhere at the mercy of terrorists. He felt hot and sick. Fighting for his life was one thing. But fighting not to throw up was another uphill battle. And that dead body next to him was so not helping.

"But I don't care about that because that's all gonna end now." Amiir said, pulling out of his white garb the golden ball. "In this ball lies a powerful scroll known as the Scroll of Secrets. They say it contain many spells and secrets, including one such power so dark it can wipe away humanity with just an eye blink. All that is left for the ball to be unlocked is the Mars Djinn Forge. Do you know where it is?"

Jace shrugged. He knew where it was. Somewhere in the palace. Where exactly, he had no clue.

Amiir closed in on Jace, hands on the chair arms and his mouth barring that one freaky fang and a lot of rotten molars, "So… you want to play the silent treatment huh?"

Jace glanced at the gunners around him and Amiir who was so close to his face. His breath stank with cuban cigar, alcohol and death.

"Do I have to force the truth out of you?" Amiir asked.

Jace let out a ragged breath. He never been this scared before. He thought he was brave enough to face a terrorist, but not even the titanoboa could top that fear he felt. He stared at the floor, but not at the head before him. "Even if I tell you, you'd…"

"Hmh?"

Jace closed his eyes and gulped, breathing raggedly again. "…even if I tell you, you'd…" he mustered up his courage to look at his captor, "…you'd still kill me."

"…along with your family and friends too." Amiir stepped back, "You just read my mind."

"No, you leave my family and friends out of this!" he frantically shouted.

Amiir rolled his eyes and looked back at him. "If you say so."

He brandished his butcher knife and ran his finger on its cold sharp blade. Jace did not like that answer.

Somewhere in Glendor Palace...

"Snake? What's your status?"

"In stealth mode, commander." Snake replied through his commander via his codec. He was, of course, hiding inside a crate at the winery cell of the palace.

"The terrorists is on the move, and the entire palace has gone dark. So I'd prefer some concentration right now."

"Okay..." Commander Campbell paused on the other line of his earpiece, "...any casualties?"

Snake let out a sigh, "Gee, I don't know. Let me think. The entire palace had gone dark and we've heard a series of gunshots so far, followed by blood spilling and panic screaming. So what do you think?"

"No need to be rude Snake!" said Mei Ling. "This mission requires all of our teamwork and happens to be way more dangerous than all the other missions you have accomplished in the past."

"Really? The Outer Heaven Uprising? The Shadow Moses Incident. The Manhattan—"

"Okay, we got your point." Mei Ling cut him off.

"Someone's coming." He whispered just as the wine cellar door opened and Black Ops soldiers stormed into the cellar. At first he thought they were British intelligence, sneaking their way into the heavily guarded palace, until he noticed their insignia: skull bandana with a C and a cross over the letter drawn on it with marker.

"CRIA." He said.

"There're the evil CIA guys right?" Mei Ling asked.

"Don't call them that. They're CRIA. Period. Doesn't matter how much they sugarcoat it." He watched them split up. "There's about six or seven of them."

"Can you take them down?" Commander Campbell asked.

A Black Ops CRIA soldier approached the crate and turned his back on Snake. Bad move, Snake thought.

"I'll try." Snake replied to the Commander, sighing once more. "But it won't be easy."

He smashed through the crate, surprising the soldier with a chokehold and a neck snap. The soldier dropped on the ground lifeless.

Instantly, two green lasers from both his sides zeroed in on him. He jumped up one of the wine shelf and the two guns opened fire. The two soldiers who pulled their gun triggers instantly dropped to their blood pool.

Snake turned to the fourth soldier who watched his friend drop down lifeless before him then turned to Snake too late.

Snake leapt off the shelf and smashed a double kick to his enemy's face, sending him to another shelf of wines to which the bottle necks pierced through his abdomen and upper shoulder.

The fifth soldier leapt from the top of that shelf, rushing in at Snake with a knife on hand. He swung. Snake dodged, then grabbed him by the arm, bent his arm hard enough to snap his collarbone and karate-chopped his neck. The soldier dropped lifeless.

Snake then heard running footsteps and a battle cry. Without a waste of breath he turned and threw a strong kick at the sixth soldier's chest. The soldier let go off the knife he held on and flew through a door, when the seventh soldier rushed in to see what was going on.

He turned to Snake and raised his AK-47. But Snake had snapped two AK-47s from fallen soldiers and pulled both triggers, pelting the seventh soldier with bullets. The sixth tried to get up to avoid the barrage but got a yelped as couple bullets pierced through his forehead. The criminals were all defeated.

Snake dropped the machine guns like mere toys and walked out the door.

"See?" He said to his earpiece, "Told you it wasn't gonna be easy."

Castle Glendor Audience Chamber

-No sooner that the Royal Court of Glendor opened its Forbidden Audience Chamber to the public, that the party atmosphere once again turned to absolute panic at the explosive sound of gunshots.

-Shouts and screams sounded all around Bowser. The Koopa King looked around, mind and senses accelerated, wondering why couple of aristocrats, struck by the bullets just dropped dead. Yes, gunshots hurt but they were more like bee stings.

Can the guns of this world really kill?

Strings of bullets tore into walls to his right. Crowd of panicked guests spread out running to his left, some rushed past his eye's corner.

He tried to stop them but they were too panicky to listen.

"Hey pipsqueaks!" Bowser shouted, "Stop running around like—"

A large woman knocked him down on his spiked back. Bowser tried to get up, but being a Koopa with spiky shell he was wedged on the ground. Next thing he knew thousand of feet trampled on his stomach.

He glanced up and saw the terrorized royalties and famous celebs heading for the closed doors, but two of Amiir's men with MP5 submachine guns stepped in before them, spraying rapid-fire bullets into the crowd.

Bowser saw malediction and joy on the gunners' faces at the sight of blood spilling in the audience chamber and the pile of unfortunate victims falling dead in groups.

Bowser could feel an aching in his chest, the disgust in his mind? He found it difficult to ignore.

Outside Castle Glendor

-The terrifying shots and screams of panicked audience overwhelmed the castle, but people from outside started to get suspicious of the constant noises.

Some started consulting one another if the sound they were hearing was their imagination or something to worry about.

"We are live via SkyCam, and uhm… right now things don't seem right, would you say Lakitu?" said Tom the news-anchor.

"Yes, yes." Lakitu said, reporting from the front gates of the castle, "You're on the helicopter right above the Grand Palace right? What do you see?"

"Well just moments ago, we witnessed five large security guards closing shut the double entry doors to the palace and then we heard what sounded like… gunshots."

"You don't think…" Lakitu gulped, "…I don't think that of all the days, that the irony of the Royal family opening the audience chamber for a celebration would be too subtle of an approach for… for an attack?"

"Ummm… what?"

"I mean, I hate to tell you this but, on a Royal Anniversary Ball, opening new wounds and scarring the locals once again shouldn't be the main focus. The main focus is on King Gabriel and his daughter's true iden—"

"Lakitu, Lakitu, stop. Stop. Did you hear it again?"

Lakitu paused.

"Sounds like fireworks. Or firecrackers."

"Maybe they're reenacting to the—" Lakitu stopped talking to watch a security guard stepped forward the front gate to meet an innocent bystander, and raised his gun.

"Oh my god!" shouted the reporter just as the guard pulled the trigger and the gunshot tore the night with a bone-chilling sound. The bystander dropped dead with a hole on his forehead. Panic ensued, but the killer wasn't done. He swung his gun around in circle, firing shots without showing a smudge of remorse.

Lakitu took off into the sky. The gunner raised his weapon at him.

"Lakitu, look out!"

The gunner shot his gun. Lakitu's cloud popped and the reporter dropped into the panicky crowd.

"LAKITU!" Tom the reporter shouted, "Oh my god. Oh my god. Oh my god. If you are watching right now, our exclusive live reports on the Anniversary Ball, celebrating a grand event that changed the face of Glendor JUST made a drastic turn to once again another unthinkable historic tragedy. This just in ladies and gentlemen. Glendor is under a brutal terrorist attack! Glendor is under a brutal terrorist attack!"

Tom paused, taking in the horror and bloodshed happening right below him.

"…oh my god." He whispered.

Our World: Paris, France

-Jenn turned away from the TV, pulled out her cellphone and went through her contact list.

She didn't know why she had to worry. There was nothing to worry about.

But she had that gut feeling that Jace was not all right. He was not okay. And if she's not okay in her body, he's not okay in his body either.

"Are you calling—"

"Yes, I'm calling Jace!" she interrupted Samus. "I have to see if he's okay."

Just as she was about to press the button to call him, her phone rang. A huge sense of relief almost settled over her. Almost. Because just when she thought her prayer was answered, the Caller ID said… Patricia Turner! Instead of Jace Riders. It was Maple's best friend.

"Pat?" she answered.

"Girl! Did you see the news?" Pat's voice rattled.

"I saw! Did you get hold of Maple? I'm trying to get hold of—"

"I was about to ask you that question too!" Pat's voice rose.

Jenn couldn't move.

"What's going on?" Pit asked.

"Is everything okay?" Luigi asked.

Jenn turned to face the Smash Bros. The heroes stood still, facing each other for a brief silent minute.

"Jenn! Girl, are you there?" Pat asked.

"Y-yeah!" Jenn managed to reply, "Yes! I'm here! I'm with the Smash Brothers. I'll put you on speaker!"

She went to sit with the Smash Bros and put the phone on speaker.

"You can't get hold of Maple?" Jenn tried not to sound too panicky, "What do you mean you can't get hold of Maple?"

"I called the number she gave me, and her grand-uncle said that the party ended last night! LAST NIGHT!" Pat's voice was way more panicky then Jenn's, "He's assuming that she's on her way back to the States, but she should be on American soil by now and she's not picking up her cell!"

"Did-a you try her Facebook?" Dr. Mario asked.

"Yeah!"

"Twitter?" Link asked.

"YEAH!"

"Miiverse?" Pit asked.

The heroes looked back at Pit.

"What?" he said, "Miiverse is big back in the Nintendo World."

The heroes nodded in agreement, except Jenn. She did not know that.

"When it comes to major news like this," Pat went on, "Maple is always first to post them up on social media! What if those terrorists took over her plane like they did to one of the Russian planes?"

Jenn didn't feel so good in her stomach. She felt lightheaded and ready to puke.

"No. I think it's much worse." she managed to say.

"What?"

The Smash Bros. were on the edge of their seats, "WHAT?" they said.

Jenn scanned each of the colorful video-game eyes fixing back at her. She had to tell them the truth. She had to tell them everything.

"Guys, there is something you should know." she said, "Amiir Black is the one who designed the 9-11 attacks."

"Yeah! We know!" Pat whined on the phone. "They JUST confirmed it on the news!"

"Yeah, what does that have to do with this situation?" Link asked.

"Or a cup of tea in Venom?" Falco got sarcastic.

"It has EVERYTHING to do with a cup of tea in Venom." Jenn snapped back, "My uncle—Uncle Henri—Jace's FATHER—he was a 9-11 victim!"

The Smash Bros. sat up, suddenly on edge. "Wait, whoa, WHAT?" Samus said.

"And Jace has vowed revenge against Amiir for his actions! Even before today!"

"WHAT?" everyone screamed.

"I hate to tell you this Pat... but I fear that Jace has gone to Glendor to face him. And Hunt and Maple are with him."

The Smash Bros. looked like they had witnessed a horrific car pileup.

"AAW HELLLL NAW!" Pat wailed, "ARE YOU FOR REAL? Girl you better tell me you ain't for real! YOU ACTUALLY FOR REAL?!"

Jenn gulped. She had no words.

"That cousin of yours, putting my best friend in such a terrible really bad situation like this?!"

Silence.

"Y'know what?" Pat said, "I'm coming to see you guys right now."

"What?"

"I'm on my way to the Plaza! Hang tight!"

"NO!" the Smash Bros. and Jenn all shouted at the same time. Jenn hesitated, "I'm uhh..." she scratched the scalp of her hair and glanced around in the room, searching for words. Her gaze turned to the Parisian city out the windows.

"We're out of town!" the words shot out of her mouth.

"Out of town? With the Smash Bros.?" Pat sounded suspicious.

"Yeah!" Jenn said, "We're uhh..."

The Smash Bros. scattered around, looking for anything in the room to fill in Jenn's empty sentences. Kirby spotted a man with a cowboy hat on the TV screen. He pointed at the hat, then pointed at his head.

The characters didn't get what he was trying to say, but Jenn was able to catch on.

"...we're visiting a friend from Texas!" she said. "He's a huge Smash fan. Freddy is is name! Freddy... Firefeather!"

The characters gave thumbs up. Jenn winked at them.

"Freddy Firefeather? Girl, are you for real?"

"He IS for real." Jenn snapped, "I'll send you my prom pic if you don't believe me."

"So I can't find you at the Plaza? Can I at least Skype?"

"Sorry! Sending prayers! Bye-bye now!"

"WHAT? NO YOU CAN'T JUST DROP A BOMBSHELL LIKE THAT AND LEAVE ME HANG—"

She pressed END, removed the batteries, and tossed them to the couch. She let out a huge sigh of relief, pulling her hair back. She glanced at the Smash Bros. They were staring back at her, waiting for answers Like "Why hide such big secret like this?"

"Oh don't look at me like that! Y'all know exactly what revenge is all about!" Jenn defended, "Ask Ike and Marth! Hell, ask Fox!"

All heads turned to Fox.

"Hey, don't pin this on me! I never resorted to that kind of—"

Falco gave Fox an exasperated look, like dude cut the theatrics. They know.

"Fine." Fox grumbled in defeat.

(-)

As the Smash Bros. got glued to the TV screen and reconvened, pondering how to get in touch with Jace, Hunt and Maple, Falco went over to Fox, "Psst. Hey, Fox? I got a problem. Maybe one that only Slippy can fix."

"Slippy? Hey, you're right. We have to find Slippy. And Peppy. They're probably might still be home in Cornelia."

"Yeah, but if we can find them." Falco showed him his cellphone. It showed a full-blown picture of a naked sexy woman and a naked sexy man on top of each other going at it.

"GAAH!" Fox jumped back, "What the—" He put the phone away, looked back to see if no one was watching. He then turned back to Falco, "Why do you have—"

"I got a text earlier." Falco cut him off, "It was some sort of documents on how to create some scientific formula. I read the title and it says—"

"Morphing Pill - Way to change appearance and blend in with Earthlings."

"Yeah! So I thought maybe this is what we need to blend in to society. Soon as I clicked it, I get popups on my phone. Including this one."

Fox grumbled under his breath, "Curses. He tricked me again."

"Who tricked you?" Falco then narrowed his eyes, "Fox…? What are you not telling me?" he soon approached Fox, "…and how do you know about the document? Did you sent it? Because that was not your number."

It took a moment for Fox to respond, "I did." He said, "But not using my phone. I used someone else's phone. An…"

Falco waited.

Fox gulped, "…an old man named Mr. DeMonsera."

Falco's eyebrow raised, "Oh?"

Fox was surprised by Falco's response; knowing that the name of the person behind the article was their most hated enemy.

"Yeah," Fox went on, "he said he knew us and he wanted to help us out. You know… to blend in to society without causing suspicions."

"Then why send a virus?" Falco paused, "…unless he wanted something from us."

"Hm-hm…" Fox absentmindedly nodded, "…yeah. You didn't by any chance see the article's author's name did you?"

Falco shrugged, "I didn't. Honestly I was too excited to care. Why, is that relevant?"

"No." Fox quickly replied, "Can I see your phone? I'll see what I can do with it."

Falco gave him the phone, "Knock yourself out." Fox took the phone and went to the bathroom of the hotel.

Elsewhere, Jenn picked up her own phone at the buzzing sound of it. Someone was calling her. She thought it was Patricia again, but when she saw some numbers that was not 10-digit but more digits, her curiosity peaked and she picked it up.

"Hello, who's this?"

She heard heavy breathing on the other line. Someone was in distress. She didn't know who until the person spoke.

"Jennifer…"

"Casey?"

"Jennifer. Please forgive me… I…"

"Are you okay?"

Casey paused, "No." he groaned, "My…my home got ambushed. I got attacked."

"What?"

"Your dad. I… I tried to protect him."

"Wait, wait, wait, slow down. My dad? Is he all right?"

"I don't know. She took him."

"She? She who?"

"Some witch. She was strong. She almost killed me."

"Where are you right now?"

"My dad's study."

"Stay where you are. I'll be right there."

Castle Glendor Old Dungeon

-Hunt woke up with a sharp headache. He thought his brain would explode in any second.

-He struggled to his feet as he held on tight to his head. He winced and bit his lower lip at the effort of not screaming at the throbbing pain he was feeling.

He was on his feet, but then staggered back until his back felt a craggy wall behind him. His surrounding smelled of cement. He caught a glimpse of sunlight sneaking its way through metal bars above him.

He didn't know where he was. But he knew he was in some sort of dungeon.

He slowly dropped to the ground, his back reclined on the craggy wall, their sharp pieces tore through his shirt. He had one hand on his head while the other felt the ground around him. But the hand soon touched something different. It didn't feel like dirt or ground. It felt more like a piece of wood, carved into a round shape. It was smoother than—

Bone? Hunt thought, his eyes shot wide open. He slowly turned, afraid to see his assumption being true. Afraid to confirm he really was touching bone. He lay eyes on the object.

He was cradling a human skull!

"Ahh!" Hunt jerked his hand back and shuffled away, gasping in horror... until his back touched another. The other person screamed like a girl. He screamed too.

A bright light flashed to Hunt's face and the screaming stopped. Hunt saw a young black girl in a pretty dress with a tiny flashlight for her keychain.

"Who are you?" she asked.

"Me? Who are you?" he asked back.

"You're the trespasser! So I'm asking you first!"

"Why do you care? Where are we?", but then he frowned, "…wait, I've seen you before."

Something like a jolt of electricity caught their attention at the corner of the dungeon. Soon they saw a light hanging from the ceiling flickering on to reveal both Hunt and the girl weren't the only ones in the chamber.

"We're in a dark dungeon." Sonic replied, strangely calm and composed. He was at the corner where the spark of electricity was with Mega-Man by his side. The duo were apparently fixing the light in the dungeon and were successful.

Hunt looked around. Pac-Man was by the side of an unconscious Maple.

Sonic walked toward Hunt and the girl, "And Hunt," he began, "you're speaking to Cassie DeLee, Jace's girlfriend…" He then turned to the girl, "or rather, Cassandra de Bellefort the Second, the Princess of Glendor."

Hunt's eyes widened, "WHAT?" he gasped.

"Okay, I prefer to be called Cassie, please!" She tried to hide the panic off her voice, "I can't stand formalities. And how do you know who I really am?"

"I've seen your picture as a child in the library."

She stared at Sonic, then at Mega Man and Pac-Man with astonishment in her big brown eyes. "And you are…?" she asked.

"Oh sorry." Sonic placed a hand on his chest, "I'm Sonic, and these are my friends Pac-Man, Mega Man, Hunt and the unconscious girl over there is Maple. We're—"

"Don't say it!" Hunt warned.

"The Classic Capers." Sonic said too late.

Hunt slapped his forehead, "He said it." he whispered.

"Classic Cape—" Cassie's eyes widened, "Wait a minute, YOU'RE the guys who stole the Royal National Treasure, the Golden Ball! You are criminals!" she turned to scream, but Pac-Man wrapped his arms around her abdomen and Mega Man pulled a duct tape from his cannon arm and smacked it to Cassie's mouth.

"Cassie! Please listen!" Sonic and Hunt started shouting.

Cassie stopped struggling. She was out of breath but there was severe panic in her eyes. Maple was stirring, but she wasn't waking up.

"This is for the sake of your country Cassie, okay?" Sonic said, "The CIA, or rather the CRIA, is after your Royal Treasure, the Golden Ball you guys call it. They are plotting to unleash something bad out of it. I don't know why, but judging by what recently happened in the castle over the past hour, I think it's really, really, bad."

Cassie stared, darkly and with terror. She was losing her breath.

"Promise us you're not gonna scream if we remove the duct tape off you?" Hunt asked her.

Cassie's shoulders slumped in defeat. Pac-Man slowly released her and she ripped the duct tape off her mouth, hissing at the skin-tearing pain.

"Why did you guys kidnapped me?" she asked after a long pause.

"If we did kidnap you, your Highness." Hunt said sarcastically, "we wouldn't even be locked up in here with you, against our will in the first place."

It took Cassie a moment to realize this, "Oh. Then who locked us all here?"

Sonic sighed, "I hate to tell you this, guys but, I think we're in trouble. Big trouble." Sonic turned to Cassie, "Cassie, there is something you should know."

Outside Castle Glendor Audience Chamber

-Bowser tried rolling over to his stomach but couldn't.

He grunted and struggled. He roared and fought. But his cries couldn't match the shrieking terror coming out of the crowd's voices and the chilling sound of gunshots echoing the air.

Then a hand finally grabbed Bowser and yanked him off the ground.

"Finally, it's about time." Bowser then froze when he saw the person who rescued him: Ganondorf. "What are you doing here?"

"I thought you would need some assistance."

"In what?"

Ganondorf grinned and moved past Bowser, "Getting out of here."

Bowser grabbed him by the arm. Ganondorf flinched, "Wuh—watch it, overgrown turtle."

"I'm not leaving this place." Bowser snarled.

"On whose order?"

"That scrawny old freak, Amiir." He said, "I should stay here until he tells me what my orders are."

Ganondorf took a second to laugh before yanking his arm away from Bowser. "You're afraid of a pathetic old human over me, your teammate? Pipsqueak Ryan was right. You have gone soft."

Bowser was stunned to hear Ganondorf talk about Ryan, "How did you know about Ryan? Were you spying on me?"

"Bowser, I'm a wizard. And wizards scry on people. And I so happened to have heard that Amiir wants to slaughter everyone here for some Golden Ball. Now that's just a waste of our time don't you think?"

Bowser rolled his eyes.

"Now, just be a good little turtle and let me escort you out of this mess. We're the best villains here and this hostage situation is beneath us all." He grabbed Bowser by the collar, "We're out of here."

The two villains turned to leave through the chaos of the audience chamber but then someone blocked their path in front of them. The Black Knight. And his arms were crossed.

"Where do you think you're going you two?" he asked.

"A place called none of your damn business." Ganondorf said.

"Oh." Black Knight chuckled as two gunmen stood side by side next to him, "I know that place." He said and the two gunmen each pulled out a their machine guns and aimed at the villains. Ganondorf and Bowser gazed at the guns then back at the Black Knight.

"It's my favorite place ever." He said.

"Oh joy! It's mine too." A voice joined in the conversation.

The two gunmen and the Black Knight stepped aside for Wolf O'Donnell. Bowser and Ganondorf saw red at the sight of the grey wolf.

A heavy gunshot followed by rapid-fire gunshot filled the chamber, startling the two villains, but not Wolf. Wounded screams followed soon after.

Unknown Location

Jace heard screaming and gunshots above.

Hearing these noises made him more nervous, but more suspicious. Was he really in the middle of nowhere? If he was, then that sick freak Amiir must have captured men, women and kids to brutally abuse.

The big question was who did he captured. He thought of Hunt, Maple, Cassie… maybe Amiir managed to track Jenn down, and Mom.

Oh god… what the hell was he doing to them?

"You sure you don't want any Kava Tea?" Amiir said, handing over the tea cup to his captive.

Jace shot him a dirty look.

"Oh right. I forgot you can't move." Amiir shrugged and took a sip of his tea.

"Amiir…" Jace said, "…where are we exactly? You said you're in the middle of…"

"…nowhere. Yes."

Amiir set the cup of tea down and looked back at Jace, "Oh, you're concerned about the noises upstairs?" he threw a dismissive hand, "Bah, nothing to be concern about. That's just training videos for my newest recruits of CRIA. I'm brainwashing them."

"With screams?"

"With the poison of the world. And how they should get rid of them. In the decree of—" Amiir stopped, then let out a grunting laugh, "you know what? I don't need to give you any more details because you're gonna die anyway. But if I had an alternative way, you would've made a great soldier. For CRIA, for Al Qaeda. Heck, ISIS would've LOVED you."

"No thank you." Jace said, "I don't like taking out human life. Which is why I don't play Call of Duty and Halo."

"Oh really? Then what were you planning to do to me if you were the one to strap me to that chair instead? Tickle me to death?" he cackled.

"I would've gotten you arrested. Like anyone would have done. Let justice handle the rest."

Amiir scoffed, "Pitiful soul." he then threw a dismissive hand and the soldiers surrounding the area took their leave.

"Hey, where are they going?" Jace asked.

"That," Amiir said, "is none of your damn business."

The sound of a closing door echoed through the cave. Terror flooded through Jace's nerves once more.

"Amiir just…" Jace sighed, "…just kill me already. Please do, but… but I'm begging you, leave my friends alone. Leave my family alone. They got nothing to do with this! This is just between you and me, for…"

"For the sake of America?" Amiir finished darkly.

Jace paused. He couldn't choke down the bile in his throat anymore. He spat something thick and white. "Can you get rid of him?" he nudged his head at the dead head.

Amiir approached the head. He threw a football kick and the dead head tumbled out of sight into the darkness.

"I am not going to kill you." Amiir said.

Jace felt slightly better, breathing heavily. Though his tongue was coated in bitter bile and the sweat on his skin was turning cold, "W-Why not?" he asked.

"Because I need you to fulfill my destiny!"

Jace frowned, "I told you, I'm not interested in joining your evil crew."

Amiir made a slight chuckle, "Not talking about that, ghabi. (stupid in Arabic). I'm talking about your true identity… White Knight."

Jace's eyes widened. W…T…F?

"You may be a White Knight," Amiir went on, "chosen to save this world and some 'video game' world; but you're much more than that. To me, you are my beginning and my end. My key and my undoing. I have been waiting FIFTY long years, and more, for this day to come; and I cannot let one single mistake cost me my long-life patience."

"Wait, you've been waiting for me all those years? You knew about me before?"

"Nah…" Amiir shook his head and started pacing across the room, taking each footstep, one at a time. His pace was just as slow as an ailing man who had a history of back pain and cramps in his life.

"I never knew you personally kid. I only knew your name and title. But back then, they did not click. You were just a part of a web of clues that did not make any sense. But the Seeker. He knew all. He saw my future. He gave me a paper filled with clues."

The old man paused, "He told me to join a terrorist force from the start. My effort would not be in vain and very soon I will have the power I richly deserved to have since I was only a mere child. Joining Al Qaeda was a ridiculous plan, so I thought. Felt more like a degrading insult to claiming my power back. But they were part of the series of clues the Seeker had given me. So I had to follow through this master plan."

That got Jace's attention, "Master plan?"

"When the Seeker told me to join Al Qaeda, I thought it was a joke. No. It was apparently to get closer to you. I never even knew the father of the White Knight was a victim of 9-11. Huh! What are the odds?"

Jace could feel his head doing the pirouette. He lay it back, waiting for the spinning motion to stop.

"But once you made national headlines, on several occasions, with your colorful friends, the Smash Brothers, it finally clicked. You were the key to get me the Scroll and the Golden Ball. And that would've been done with the help of your other three colorful friends. Pac-Man, Mega Man..."

"...and Sonic." Jace finished his sentence, right on point.

"Patience truly is a virtue. Now it's time to reclaim what I have lost... before you become..."

He hesitated. Number one mistake in being a villain: never reveal your plan to the so-called good guys.

"Before I become what? Your undoing?" Jace asked.

Amiir gave Jace a strange gaze. Jace looked away and closed his eyes. Taking a deep breath he added, "I hope I do become your undoing, Amiir Black." he looked back at the old man, "Because once I get out of these straps, I will destroy you. And everyone in this country will finally have proper justice."

Amiir grinned his toothy grin. Trash talking his enemies was Jace's strongest point, but on the inside, he was just as scared as all the people who got captured and executed by Al Qaeda in the past.

Amiira deep throaty voice suddenly filled the cave, forcing Amiir and Jace to look up.

"That voice…?" Jace said, recognizing it, "Sounds like Mewtwo."

"Obviously." Amiir set his cup down and looked up the craggy ceiling. "What do you want now, Psychic Freak?" he spoke casually, as if Mewtwo himself was in the cave with him.

"Your unhelpful minion is coming to see you." Mewtwo replied, his voice exploded like he was at a concert, "don't forget to reward him greatly. He loves coins."

"I'll give him something better. Bring him in." Amiir set his tea on the table again, "You're going to love this, Javen."

"Jacen."

"Psht! Whatever. Like I said, you're going to love this. It's a head on a silver platter. Not the one I just kicked away. The one coming is fresh."

Jace gasped. He was so preoccupied about his own predicament he totally forgot what happened to all his friends. Whose head was he bringing up this time? The Classic Capers? Maple's? HUNT'S?

...Cassie's?

Oh god, he really hoped it's not Cassie's.

"Oh god, what did you do?" He jumped and thrashed, but the straps on his wrists and ankles forced him to struggle more until he was out of breaths, "I swear Amiir, if you hurt ANYONE of my friends…" he growled.

Amiir shook his head, "No. No. Your friends are safe. For now."

That didn't made him feel better.

"The snitch however…" he trailed off just as he stopped pacing. The silence made Jace's heart pound.

"What?" he asked.

Amiir glanced around, looking dazed and confused in a way.

"What about the snitch?" Jace then raised his voice. "WHAT ABOUT THE SNITCH?"

But Amiir acted like he had gone deaf and mute. Either that was the case or something unpleasant was cooking in that psychotic brain of his. SO NOT a good sign.

A loud boom was heard from a distance and a stream of light poured in to the cave. Judging by the faint bluish whiteness that shone on Amiir's pale face, it was night outside.

Two guardsmen in black suit—the same kind of men that captured Jace earlier—entered, with a third men in the middle, wearing the same suit except he had no tie, but a red cape. His hands were on his back.

Red cape? Jace's jaws dropped. It remained ajar when he lay eyes on the man in question.

Ryan Somith.

Ryan flashed him a smile.

Of course he's the snitch! He ratted him, Sonic, and his friends out AND exposed him to Cassie as the Golden Ball jewel thief. What else was new with this hater? He expected a snake like Ryan to hand him over to terrorists instead of the FBI.

Jace shouldn't bother. He shouldn't. But the sight of him made his stomach churn afresh. Amiir's words were still fresh and haunting.

"You're going to love this. It's a head on a silver platter."

Was he talking about Ryan's head? Sure, Ryan was an a-hole. But he was an a-hole about to get his head ripped off by Amiir Black and he didn't even know it.

"Well, Mr. Black." Ryan said, eyes still fixed on his hated rival, "I see you have the criminal apprehended."

"Hmph." was all that Amiir could utter.

Jace just shook his head in disbelief. Disbelief and terror.

"You wanted to show me something cool, right?" Amiir asked. "After our mission?"

Ryan pulled his hands from behind his back and he held a power glove, similar to the Nintendo Power Glove from the olden days.

Amiir stared at it without a word. But Jace could tell he was not expecting this. So did he.

Ryan put the glove on. "Watch me work it." He curled his gloved fingers to a fist, stepped aside and then with a shake of the fist, uncurled his fingers and blue electricity surged out of the fingers and struck the ground.

Instantly, an object of leather fabric formed among the blue sparkles and flickered to life. It was Captain Toad's diamond suitcase.

"Whoa…" Jace breathed.

"Nice." Amiir said, "Where did you get glove?"

"I invented it myself." Ryan said, "With a little bit of programming, hacking, engineering, both mechanical and with beakers." He shrugged, "Nothing big."

Jace couldn't stop staring in awe and wonder of Ryan's glove. The magical 3DS was one thing but that invention of his—though he hated to admit it—was mind-blowingly awesome, not a nothing.

"Cool." Amiir snapped his finger and pointed over to the suitcase, "Haqeebat safar!"

Ryan blinked, "Err… what?" he muttered. He wasn't the only one. The other two men glanced at each other, then back at their boss.

Amiir dropped his hand and flashed an irritated glare at the group. "Do I need to say it out loud? SUITCASE! NOW!" he shouted.

"Oh, right!" Ryan said then turned to the suitcase, but Amiir's men already beat him to it. They both grabbed it by the single handle and approached Amiir where they sat it down near his feet.

Amiir snapped his fingers again and made a beckoning gesture at Ryan, "I shall take the glove from your hand now." He said.

Ryan was stunned in silence. He turned briefly to Jace. That's when Jace shook his head furiously and widened his eyes, more so as a warning.

Don't do it! Don't do it! Don't do it!

Ryan turned back to Amiir, "Why?" he asked.

Amiir smirked, "Why? Because I like the glove."

Ryan smiled back, "Thanks. I like the glove too, so you can understand why I can't give it—"

"GIVE IT UP!"

Amiir's roar made Ryan jumped. He quickly pulled out the glove and handed it to Amiir. Jace would've face-palmed if his wrists weren't bound up. Instead he closed his eyes, trying to absorb the horror he felt. Ryan just gave up his only chance at getting out of danger. Away from hateful terrorist Amiir Black. Now Ryan is going to die. And he can't do anything about it but watch.

Amiir put the glove on and grabbed the suitcase with it.

"Hey!" Ryan shouted, "Be careful with—"

Amiir shot him another glare. Ryan clammed his mouth shut. "…b-be careful with that." He muttered. "It's… s-still a prototype."

"Oh don't worry." The scowl turned back to that smile of dark pleasure. "I will take very good care of it in your absence."

The smile vanished, "Wait here." He said, then made a signal to his men. They quickly followed behind like obedient dogs. Seconds later, the cave door opened and then closed shut again, filling the cave with its faint light in the darkness.

It was just Jace and Ryan now. Two bitter rivals, now under the captivity of a psycho terrorist working for a Pokémon.

"Looks like it's just you and me now." Ryan sat in Amiir's chair and pulled out his Zapper gun from his utility belt, "Don't try anything stupid now, you hear?"

Oh, he had to try something all right. And it was going to take a lot of convincing.

Our World: Paris, France

-Jenn and the Smash Bros. arrived at Casey's Mansion.

"Hey guys." He greeted with a solemn tone. "Thank you for coming."

The Nintendo characters slowed their paces at the very sight of Casey. Jaws dropped at the uncanny resemblance to their friend, except for the blond hair, the black diamond studs, and the European accent.

"No… way." Luigi said, pointing, "You look like—"

"Yeah… I get that a lot." He said.

"Guys, this is Casey." Jenn introduced, "He helped me and Fox with the portal."

"Nice to see you in the flesh, Luigi, Link, Samus, Mario…"

Dr. Mario cleared his throat, "Doctor Mario, to be politically correct."

"Right." He said, "wish we could've met under better circumstances."

"What happened?" Jenn asked, noticing her friend shaking as if he had caught a nasty cold.

After a brief silence, Casey told them the whole story. How Bayonetta had killed Anne and used her body all along to spy on them. How she threatened to destroy his book if she doesn't give up her dad to her.

After the sordid blackmailing tale, the room fell silent. Casey paced back and forth. Jenn gazed out the window, doing her best not to break in to tears. Pit couldn't stop staring at that Medusa mirror in the room.

"Wait, she's real right?" he asked.

Samus pressed her hands on the table and leaned in to Casey, "Mr. Tresor, it is not your fault."

"No don't say that." He said.

"It isn't." Samus said again.

"I once failed to protect my sister dragon from the men in the black robes. I was not able to get my mom and dad to recognize me until after I defeated my evil butler, and now this?" Casey shook his head, turning to Jenn, "I am really, REALLY sorry Jennifer. I should have done more to protect your father, even if—"

"Even if it means the cost of your life?" she cut him off.

Casey froze.

She turned to face him but smiled, "You did the right thing Casey."

"What?"

"I know just how important family is to you. You didn't do anything wrong." She said, "You actually led us straight to the person behind the princesses' kidnapping."

Casey cocked his head on one side, "I did."

Jenn nodded. "Yeah." She said, "And yeah, my dad was right to let himself be taken away. You could have died tonight. And that would have been my fault. I'm the one who should apologize. I put you in serious danger."

Casey faintly smiled.

"My gosh…" Dr. Mario gasped, "I can believe you look JUST like Jace. Only blonde."

Luigi laughed, "Right. Look who's talking, DOCTOR Mario. Imagine if there were two of you."

Dr. Mario gave a strange stare to Luigi. "Oh there will be. I'm actually feeling inspired!"

"Also," Jenn said, "I'm glad you called. Because we need your help."

"What kind?" he asked.

"Well you said your book serves as a portal to your homeworld right?" she said, "But can it be served as a portal to this world?"

Casey had that knowing look in his eyes. Same look that Jenn gets from Jace whenever he figure out what she was up to. It's the same look she gave him when he was up to something too.

"You're going to Glendor are you?" he asked, "To help your friends and your cousin?"

Jenn was caught by surprise. "How did you know?"

Casey smirked, "Hey, I'm the descendant of Mystletain aren't I?"

The only reply he got were blank stares.

"Nevermind." He quickly said, "After I called you, I had to find some ways to bring your dad back. I thought the Glendor terrorist situation right now would give me some hint; so I used a scrying mirror from my dad's treasure collection and I saw your cousin there!"

Jenn's pupils dilated and her jaws opened.

"Don't worry he's fine." Casey quickly said, "At least for now."

"Wuh—" Jenn got cut off by the outburst of the worried Smash Bros. "At least for now? That's not good enough!" Mario and Luigi both exclaimed.

"Where is he?" asked Fox.

"He's…" Casey hesitated, "…at the mercy of that terrorist."

Jenn croaked. Not the news she wanted to hear; but Casey quickly added, "But like I said, he's fine. He's pretty resilient that one. And BOY, the resemblance is WAY too uncanny! Is he my long lost twin brother or something, 'cause that would've been cool."

"Casey," Jenn smiled, "I appreciate you looking out for me and my father and family. But…" she hesitated, "I don't want you getting hurt, so I'd prefer it if you stay here where it's safe."

"But guys, I want to come with you."

"Don't-a worry about us, Casey!" Luigi said, "We can take it from here."

"Yeah." Dr. Mario agreed, "It's not our first rodeo with final bosses that's for sure."

"You sure?"

"Very sure." Jenn said, "You've helped us out a lot. And opening the portal to Glendor is also more than enough for us."

Casey sighed, "All right. I won't stop you."

"But please be careful. I don't know what I'll do if something bad was to happen to you or your family."

Jenn threw a big hug to Casey, "Thank you Casey. Thanks for all your help."

Casey hugged back. He took his enchanted Book with him and stepped forward the Medusa's Mirror. He opened the book to the middle section where all the Golden Pages were and the book floated before the group. Instantly, a hole formed in midair. A swirly vortex of light, and bluish energy with a current so strong it felt like a tornado. But the noise it emitted sounded like a eerie opera-like choir.

The Smash Brothers tried to hold their balance but the powerful vortex was too strong for them.

"Where is this portal gonna take us?" shouted Luigi.

"Is that what it supposed to be like?" shouted Pit.

"Yeah!" Casey shouted through the loud choir of the portal, "I've dealt with portals like this before! Just hold on one sec!" he turned to Jenn and grabbed her by the shoulders, "This will take you to Castle Glendor! Be careful, Jenny! You don't want to mess with those CRIA people! I've heard they're worse than Al Qaeda and ISIS! Whatever you do, get your cousin out of there! Be careful!"

"I will!" She shouted back, full of determination. She then turned to the portal, "Smash Brothers! We have people to save!"

The Smash Bros. finally let themselves go and the portal sucked them in.

Glendor Palace Dungeons

-Solid Snake, with his gun held upright crept over the dungeons' corner until he heard a noise.

"What… …that?" Commander Campbell asked.

Snake tapped on his earpiece, "Wait what?"

"… that… what… …was…sound…"

"I don't…" Snake said, continuing to tap on his earpiece, "I don't under…you gotta speak up commander."

"I… … …WAS… … …SOUND…SNAAAAKE…"

"Commander I think we're breaking up. I can't hear you. Hello? Hell— Ugh… you know what…" Snake pulled off the earpiece and tossed it on the ground. He got plenty ones in his pouch anyway.

"HEY!" Someone shouted from behind.

Snake turned around and aimed at the person who just spoke.

"Whoa, don't shoot!" shouted a young blond man in a tux, wearing glasses, and had had brushed-up hair. His gun-wielding hands were up.

Snake lowered his weapon, "Tell me a reason why I shouldn't shoot you dead right now?"

"Because I'm looking for the princess of Glendor and her family." The young man spoke with a british accent.

Snake cocked his head on one side. "Why?"

The young brit scowled, "Why do you care, mate?" he then pointed the gun at him too, "Why are you here?"

"I'm looking for someone too. Someone from CRIA. I need to settle the score with him, and save its captive people."

"Amiir Black?"

"No, his right-hand replacement commander, Wolf O'Donnell."

After a moment, the young brit put his gun back to the back of his hip. Snake did the same thing.

"Well looks like we have something in common mate." He approached Snake and held out his hand for a handshake, "Call me Eggsy."

Snake looked at the hand offering, then looked back at the young brit. "Eggsy?" he repeated, "Really? Your mother couldn't come up with a better name for you?"

Eggsy scoffed, "Yea tough guy. What's your name then?"

"It's—"

"Is it not Solid Snake?"

"It's an alias."

"Really? So even if your girlfriend calls you by that name, you're not bothered by it?"

Snake was silent.

"That's right. I read all about you." Eggsy said before moving past Snake, "Now, how about you be a good gentleman and let's go kick some nuts, eh?"

"Since when does that mission requires me to have a cocky partner like you, Eggy?" Snake asked.

"Since I know the ins and the outs of Castle Glendor. Unless you know where the exit from the dungeon to the chamber is located."

Snake opened his mouth to say something, but came out all blank.

Eggsy smirked, "Yea, that's right." He turned around and kept walking. Snake let out a digruntled sigh and followed him.

"And by the way, it's Eggsy."

"Like I care." Snake replied.

Outside Castle Glendor Audience Chamber

-"What a coincidence." Wolf laughed, "To be all together in this one place."

"What are you doing here?" Bowser growled.

"I thought Lucario blasted that hairy ass of yours out of New York." Ganondorf added.

"My hairy ass is fine thank you very much." Wolf said, "I actually was rescued by a beautiful lady."

Ganondorf snorted at the very thought of Wolf O'Donnell being rescued by a woman, "Let me guess." He said, "was her name Jezebel?"

"Or Shadow Queen?" Bowser added.

Wolf chuckled briefly, before his smile turned to a dark scowl, "How about Bayonetta?"

Ganondorf's face turned dark, "What?" he growled.

Bowser looked at Ganondorf, then back at Wolf, stunned at the name, "Who?"

"Bayonetta." Wolf said, "The Last Umbra Witch. You know of the legend right? Practitioners of ancient European Dark Magic?"

Ganondorf whispered to Bowser, "They said she's so evil, Satan had to divorce her."

"Was she ever married?" Bowser asked in disbelief.

"It's just a rumor Koopa." Ganondorf said harshly before turning back to Wolf. "Why are you working with her?"

"Why?" Wolf chuckled, turning to Black Knight, "Look at that. They're asking me why."

The Black Knight didn't laugh. He stayed quiet.

Wolf cleared his throat, pulled out a device from his pocket that looked like a smartphone and began tapping away, "How about I give you a sneak peek instead, Daddy?"

Daddy? Bowser raised an eyebrow. Why did Wolf called him that? Unless…

Wolf showed him the screen, and the Koopa's heart dropped. Bowser snatched the device from Wolf and stared in shock. He had to force blink his eyes to see that he wasn't really dreaming; dreaming at the sight of his son Bowser Jr. and his minions the Seven Koopalings, held hostage somewhere in a secluded area with Peach and Zelda next to them.

He crushed the device with his bare hands.

"I have tons of those devices. But you owe me for this one. It was my favorite." Wolf said.

Bowser stepped toward Wolf, "This was both of YOU'S DOING?! YOU FURRY LITTLE—"

The two gunmen pressed their machine guns to Bowser's chest. Bowser froze, huffing angrily.

"Careful Koopa." Ganondorf restrained Bowser at the shoulders, his warning came out grim and serious, "The guns of this planet are not like the guns in ours. Those can kill. One hit and it's Game Over. No respawn."

"That's how I ended Snake's life, remember?" Wolf said to the two villains. "Though mine was an upgrade with a powerful laser." He stepped before Bowser and whispered, "Only difference is, I can now end you both faster than I ended him."

Bowser looked around the bloodbath of the audience chamber that had just happened. A pile of dead bodies lay before him and the other villains. There were still many more panicked people hiding, behind chairs, tables and even behind curtains. Some were exposed, right at the mercy of getting shot dead at any second. No wonder those people from this world were in such panic. These guns CAN kill.

Somewhere in the Castle Grounds

-Prince Cashmere Kentonbury-Penn was trapped in the men's room, playing dead.

-20 minutes ago, he was searching for Cassie and couldn't find her. He had crossed over the restroom when instinct alerted him that she could be hiding in one of the restrooms with that American wanker doing the deed when she' s supposed to be with him instead.

He should NOT have listened to that instinct. But then again if it wasn't for that panicked guest, pushing him into the restroom and shouting out with a warning tone that terrorists have broken into the castle, he'd be dead by now.

But the poor guy himself barely made it.

Flashback,

"Your Majesty!" the man breathed in panic, "This is bad! We have to hide! We have to play dead!"

"What? What are you talking—"

"There's a shooter! A shooter!"

Cashmere scoffed, "Dude, chill. There is no shooter. You just lost the plot." Cashmere opened the door.

"NO!" the man shoved Cashmere back into the restroom out of the way, seconds before a loud gunshot ran out. The man slumped to Cashmere's chest with a hole on his head. Cashmere let out a startled gasp.

Another gunshot rang out and Cashmere flinched. A bullet had nicked his upper chest, near his beating heart. Cash slumped back with the dead man, allowing the restroom door to close.

He stared at the dead body before him. Breathing heavily he gazed at the door. The gunman could come in any second. Next thing he knew he heard footsteps, saw a shadow looming over the restroom door.

"F**k no."

He quickly pulled away from the dead man and ran into one of the stalls. The door opened and Cash dropped his head down, closed his eyes, and held his breath… …

Flashback Ends

20 minutes later, he remained still, taking as much short breaths as he could without catching the gunner's attention.

But the gunner wasn't alone. There were at least five of them stationed in the restroom. Who the eff were they looking for? They need to go so he could get out of here!

Another gunner entered the restroom and started speaking Arabic. He couldn't understand a word they were saying, but he could decipher the tone of their voices. The newcomer gave an important info, then the stationed gunners asked for clarification. The newcomer confirmed the info. The gunner sounded unsure, like he wasn't ready to follow order. If that order involved leaving that damn restroom, then follow it maggot! He wanted to scream that.

Hell, he wanted to scream period. The wound on his upper arm was too much and he was losing a lot of blood. His closed eyes had to twitch couple of times. At least these gunners didn't make a double-take at him. They still thought they had killed the prince of England.

The gunners asked more questions. The newcomers answered more questions. The gunners decided. They made decision. They sounded 100% sure to go through whatever they were plotting. Then finally the shooters left the restroom.

Five seconds later, his eyes flew open, pupils dilated and a sharp breath left his throat. He breathed heavily as he pushed himself to sitting position and clutched his hand hard on his wounded shoulder. He grunted in pain.

He pushed through the stall and went to the dead man. He quickly unbuttoned the sleeve from his white dress shirt and ripped it off him. He tied it hard over his wounded shoulder, biting hard on his lips to prevent himself from screaming.

He pulled out his cellphone and made a call.

"Damn it, voicemail… … … hey, hey-hey-hey listen man! S-S-S-Something buh-buh-b-bad happened. I… need your help. Yeah I know I usually don't call you for something but… just hurry up okay?"

He hung up the phone, then heard a noise that made him jump. His heart stopped.

"Oh dear god, please let it not be Cassie and her folks." He whispered to himself.

Castle Glendor Old Dungeon

-Sonic enlightened the group (minus Maple who was still unconscious), on what he heard from the Wind Djinni Gust.

He had recently put two-on-two together and was starting to solve the mystery behind the Golden Ball and the Scroll of Secrets and was ready to share his theory.

Cassie listened to the whole tale intentedly until Sonic was done. "So… let me get this straight." She began, "My country's National Treasure is not from Avalon? It's from a land called Weyard?"

Sonic nodded. "You sound unconvinced." He said, "For a girl who has known two djinns as her personal BFFs for how long?"

Cassie gave Sonic a scowl, "Don't."

"It makes sense now." Hunt said. "Makes total sense, like why we needed Djinns to unlock the Golden Ball. See I knew the history book was lying about that ball being an ancient forgotten Arthurian treasure this whole time. I DESERVED that A in my high school History class."

"They're not technically lying." Sonic said, "In my opinion. They just… omitted the truth, by fabricating something believable out of nothing."

"That's basically the whole point of lying." Hunt argued.

Cassie shook her head, "So let me try to process this whole thing: my country's National Treasure—the Golden Ball—was used as a weapon to lock people inside? And your friend is currently inside it. You mean to tell me he's been held captive in THAT ball for decades? Even before I was born?"

The Classic Capers nodded.

"Wow." Hunt said. "Poor Captain Toad. I can't imagine."

"I don't know why Captain Toad is inside." Sonic said, "But he's key to help us find Shulk. We'll be able to save two friends once we free him from that ball. But…"

"…the terrorists have it." Cassie sadly said.

"Amiir Black has it." Hunt corrected.

"If only I knew," Cassie sadly shook her head, "This entire time, the Djinns and I would've freed him. But you guys managed to get three of them in…"

"But the only one left now is Forge, the Mars Djinni." said Sonic, "And I believe you have him."

Cassie's face glowed, "Yes! He's in my—" she froze up, "…purse."

Her purse was gone. "Ohhh noooo…" she looked ready to cry, near tears.

"What?" Hunt asked, "What is it?"

"My purse! He was inside my purse! He's…" she looked back at the prisoners, very much afraid, "Guys, Amiir has Forge!"

Somewhere in another Castle dungeon

"Hey…HEEEYY!"

-Forge got tossed on the craggy ground like a ragdoll. The Djinn struggled to its feet and watched three terrorists surround him.

"Watch it, buddy!" the Fire Djinn roared at one of othem before shooting out a fireball from its tail. The terrorist blocked the attack with his gun over his face.

"Whoa-ohh!" the terrorist laughed, "Easy there, creepy pet. You don't wanna upset your master now would you?"

The other two terrorists laughed along.

"I have no master but only one!" Forge hissed.

"And who is your master exactly?" the voice of Amiir Black caught everyone's attention. The terrorists turned to their master and so did Forge.

As soon as Forge lifted its beady eyes to the newcomer in the room, his pupils dilated and its jaws dropped.

"Finally you've found him." Amiir said.

"Ahib Aljalala Amyr Amiir 'Asud…" Forge gasped.

"In the flesh." Amiir smiled at the Fire Djinni.

The terrorists looked at each other, amazed.

"You know him?" the second terrorist asked him.

Amiir gave him a cold glare. "Do you question my authority?"

"…well, he called you Ahib Aljala—"

The third terrorist cut his chatty partner off with an elbow on his rib.

"Don't question the leader Theo." The third terrorist hissed.

"Thank you." Amiir said to the third terrorist. "Finally someone who understands protocol."

The third terrorist smiled.

"You know what, I should reward you for actually listening to me." Amiir said before pulling out a gun and then shot the third terrorist in the head. The third terrorist's smile vanished from his face and he dropped on the ground dead.

"Hate it when people fight my battles." Amiir muttered before putting his gun away. Chatty terrorist Theo felt his teeth rattling.

"You two." Amiir pointed at him and the first terrorist, "Stay here. I must have a chat with Forge alone."

Forge struggled to its feet and tried to fly away, but Amiir was too quick and grabbed him by the tail.

"Hu—hey! Luh—let go! LET GO!" Forge struggled.

"You sure you'll be okay with—"

"I'll be fine." Amiir cut the first terrorist off, "Just stay here." He then stopped and turned around, "Oh, actually. You have O'Donnell's men on the radio right? Tell him his mission is complete. He can do whatever he wants with the hostages upstairs. But you two. Still stay here."

The two terrorists nodded in obedience.

Amiir closed the dungeon door close, locking his two terrorists away. He went to another dungeon across from where he left and closed his dungeon door behind, trapping him and Forge inside. He tossed Forge on the ground again.

"OW!" Forge grunted, "Why? I'm not some 2-year old doll to be tossed around, I'm a spirit!"

"And I'm your master." Amiir said, "So whatever I say goes."

"You're no master of mine." Forge raged, "Not after what you did to the Warriors of Vale!"

Amiir huffed. He then pulled out the Golden Ball and showed its golden radiance to Forge. Forge gasped at the sight of it.

"Where did you—!" Forge gasped, "Did you steal it from the castle?"

"No. YOU stole it from ME!" Amiir snarled, "I'm simply taking back what's rightfully mine. And I'm trying to save a friend of mine who so happened to be trapped inside it."

Forge snorted, "A friend?" he said, "Trapped inside a Golden Ball? Last time I checked, you tried to use that Golden Ball to take over Weyard for evil. How will I believe your words now? Bah, doesn't matter. I'm not helping you."

Amiir bounced the ball in his hand. "Forge, you wanna know what happens to the Golden Ball when it shatters, without all four Djinns' powers activated within?"

Forge hesitated. He knew the answer to it, and it was a terror to think about it. Why did that dark man brought this up?

Amiir smirked, "Yeah, you do know what will happen to a Golden Ball if the powers of four Djinns has not activated it." Amiir then hung the ball with just two loose fingers. Forge gasped.

"It's instant death for your friends locked inside."

"Don't… you… daaaare." Forge snarled.

Amiir slipped his finger and the ball went for the ground.

"KYAAA!" Forge went under the ball and caught it with its tail seconds before it hit the ground. "OKAY! OKAY! OKAY!"

Amiir smirked.

Forge gently set the Golden Ball like a precious glass. "Fine, I'll do your dirty work."

Amiir's smile widened. The Djinn took several steps back, then ran and leapt into the Golden Ball, plunging into it like a pool. The ball's light blinded the entire dungeon, and consumed Amiir. His dark throaty laughter echoed inside.

Somewhere in another Castle dungeon

-Jenn and the Smash Bros. shot out of a portal and reappeared in the middle of a grotto that looked more like a dungeon.

They each descended from it like Pit descending from the sky in Smash 4. Their feet settled on the cold ground of the dungeon.

Dr. Mario looked around, "Are-a we in the exact location?"

Before one of them could respond, the craggy laughter of Amiir Black filled the dark corridor.

"Mamamiiiia, was that a guh-guh-ghost?" Luigi trembled.

Link spotted a ray of light at a corner, "There! A light!"

The gang ran to the light, right when they reached it, they peeked inside and saw Amiir Black. And he wasn't alone.

"Who's that?" Pit asked.

"Amiir Black!" Jenn said, "It's the terrorist!"

"And who IS that?" Falco pointed at the unknown person.

"That's Captain Toad!" Luigi exclaimed. "He's unconscious!" he suddenly slammed hard on the door, "CAPTAIN TOA—!"

Everyone pounced on Luigi and ducked in hiding.

"SSSHHH!" Fox hissed, "Shut up Luigi! Are you trying to get us all KILLED?"

Jenn's heart dropped at the approaching footsteps.

"Oh no he's coming!" Jenn squealed, "We have to get out of—"

The door opened.

Everyone froze. Amiir stood before them! And he looked right AT them!

…then he looked to his left and then to his right and then straight forward.

After a moment he shrugged and went back inside the dungeon, closing it shut behind him.

Jenn's breath came out as a croak. Seeing Amiir Black coming out of that dungeon, in the flesh, inches away from her and her friends struck a cold damp of fear in her spine. She thought she was gonna die in a second.

But she didn't.

"…what… just happened?" she finally asked.

"He didn't see us?" Pit said.

Fox raised an eyebrow, "Why?"

Luigi turned to Jenn and then jumped back at her sight, "Mamamia!"

"What?" Jenn whispered.

"I think I know what happened." He pointed at her, "Look!" he then pointed at Dr. Mario, Link, Falco, Fox, Samus, Kirby and Pit, "And look! All of you!"

Everyone stared at each other. Their bodies was transparent.

"You're welcome." Samus said.

All heads turned to Samus.

"What in the Underworld did you do to us?" Pit asked.

Samus pointed up, "Cloaking device." She said.

All heads turned to a chrome-colored drone device floating before them.

Jenn gasped, "That's the invisibility item from Melee!"

Samus smiled, "Bingo. I activated it to radiate a 1500 millisecond time-interval gamma ray within 5 feet radius to turn us all invisible. That way Amiir cannot see us standing in front of him, AND he won't get affected by its radiation thus turning him invisible too and seeing us all affected by its powers."

Silence.

"You're welcome." She finished.

"Yeah, I'm not thanking you with that Math talk." Falco said half-heartedly.

Castle Glendor Old Dungeon

"How did you lose Forge? You remember what happened? Can you retrace your steps?" Hunt asked.

"F-Forge was all blabbing about the National Treasure," Cassie said, "and I didn't know what he was talking about at the time but he told me that I should go find it and bring it to the Library."

"And…"

"And we were closing in on the location when Cash found me, and then he distracted me, and then Jace saw us, and he distracted me, and…"

"Cash?" Sonic asked.

"As in Prince Cashmere," Hunt replied, "Prince of England."

Cassie continued to pace around in panic, "Guys, if Amiir uses Forge to break the Golden Ball and uses it somehow with that Scroll of Secrets to do what he was supposed to do a long time ago… and that is to…"

"…plunge the world into darkness." said Sonic.

Cassie went on, "If he wants to do something like this, then these treasures shouldn't even BE in his hands in the first place! I don't care if these two items belonged to his tribe! He's using it for selfish hateful reasons! People died on 9/11 because of his obsession for that ball! Thousands of innocent people! And right now, this castle is under siege by him and his terrorists! People are at his mercy! People are gonna die in his cold callous hands! And my… and my… Uncle Gabriel… Auntie Grace… Jacen… WE CAN'T LET THAT HAPPEN! WE CAN'T!"

She finally broke down in tears. Hunt wrapped his arms around her and she sobbed on his shoulders.

"Which is why we have to stay alive…" Sonic then shot a glance at Hunt on cue, "But in order to do that, we have to try to play dead."

"We'll be dead anyway Sonic." Hunt hopelessly said.

"But what if Amiir wants Cassie?" Sonic said.

Cassie looked up with tearful eyes, "Wh-what?"

"Cassie, think about it." Sonic said, "Your family has had his treasure for years! He might retaliate. He might do something crazy! He might…" he gulped, "…he might try to kill you."

Pac-Man and Mega Man retreated in horror. Cassie croaked.

Hunt wrapped his hands over her ears. "Dude! Don't say that!" he hissed at the hedgehog.

"It's the truth!" Sonic shrugged, "And sometimes the truth hurts."

Pac and Mega nodded agressively.

Another stirring from Maple. The gang looked toward her and she was finally opening her eyes into her dark world.

Hunt rushed to her side, "Hey, Maple. Easy… it's okay. We're okay. You're okay."

"Okay… okay, wuh—" her eyes widened, "what…? What?" she sat up, "What's going on?"

"Shh. It's okay."

"Where are we?" Maple cried out.

Hunt gulped, "…locked in a dungeon."

Maple's voice cracked, "In a dungeon?"

All eyes turned to Cassie for clarification. "We're in a dungeon right?" Sonic asked.

It took Cassie a while to regroup, "Y-yes. We're below the basement of Castle Glendor but above one of their ancient catacombs which is six feet right under the country's whole land."

"Ohhh god." Maple was near tears. Cassie didn't hesitate to cry along. She ran to Maple and the duo shared what felt like a last-moment-of-their-lives hug.

"It's okay, it's okay." Cassie tried to say, choking back her tears.

"I barely started my teenage years!" Maple sobbed, "I'm too young to die!"

Pac and Mega gathered around them and tried to console them.

"Girls, don't panic." Sonic said, "We have a plan. We have to make sure that we all act dead if someone tries to take us out."

Cassie and Maple glared at Sonic with watery eyes. That didn't make them feel any better.

"…unless it's a good guy." Sonic recovered.

"But what if it's the CIA?" Maple asked.

"Amiir's group? Or…" Sonic asked.

"No, the real CIA." Maple said, "I heard they become very active once the evil version strike."

"But we're in Glendor." Hunt said, "CIA don't have international clearance. So CRIA's activity can't affect the US country."

Sonic cocked his head on one side. He didn't get it.

"It's like Sub-Zero can't be invited to a Sega All-Stars Racing."

"Who's Sub-Zero?" Sonic asked.

A loud noise startled the group. All heads turned to the door. Next thing they knew the door flew open and split in two near the prisoners' heads. No time to play dead as Sonic planned out.

The enemies stormed into the dungeon cell. They were about four or five of them, shouting in their native language, raising Kalanashiknov AK-47 guns at their heads and semi-auto Glock guns strapped to their hips. The girls didn't hesitate to sob. Pac-Man, Mega Man, Sonic and Hunt stood up and held their ground.

"What are you doing? Get your ass out of our way!" shouted one of the terrorists. "Now! We want princess!"

"No way." Sonic said.

"You're gonna have to get through us first!" Hunt said boldly.

"You signing blood contract? You wanna die?" another terrorist shouted.

Hunt's heart slammed hard. He looked back at Sonic, Pac and Mega. They were determined to stay here to protect Cassie and Maple, even if it meant losing their lives.

"We're not going anywhere!" Hunt said, "You're not gonna hurt these people. Ever."

"Well, say what you want. You'll be joining your dead folks soon." The first terrorist said.

"We got good practice upstairs." The second one gushed, "Your guests people? Gone. Your family? Gone." He said to Cassie and Maple. The girls' lips quivered. Terrorist then turned to Hunt and the Classic Capers, "…your dearly beloved friend? Gone."

Hunt stared. Disbelief was quickly followed by a boiling rage at these words. Rage that made his body vibrate.

"Now we're down to the final count." The first terrorist said as everyone raised their AK-47 targeting every foreheads. "You five."

"ROAAAAR!" Hunt charged at the terrorist. The terrorist pulled the trigger and fired the shot. The girls screamed—but no one got hit!

Hunt had tackled the terrorist and was now on top of him, going ape on him! He threw a few punches but terrorist blocked with his AK-47. So Hunt yanked him up by the AK-47 and threw two punches on the liver, one across his face, cracked his jawbone by shoving the side of that AK-47 to his face, then when the terrorist let go off his weapon, Hunt got an opening. He grabbed terrorist's head, threw a knee jab to his face and toppled him over his shoulder, snapping the gun off the terrorist. Then using the AK-47 like a sword went Spin attack on all the terrorists who tried to fire their guns at him, knocking down all their weapons.

Sonic threw a sweep kick across another terrorist, pinned him to the ground and grinded on him with his Spin attack. Pac Man assaulted the other terrorist with 8-bit fruits, then Galaxians, then an 8-bit key which literally killed two terrorists with holes in their heads. And Mega Man assaulted the other with his gear.

Mega Man then lurked behind all terrorists and stamped an Hyper Bomb on their backs and pushed the rest of the heroes out of the cell, away from the terrorists.

The terrorists turned around and watched them escape, unaware of the Hyper Bombs on their backs. They went after them. Hunt shut the door and blocked it. The terrorists barely reached the door when the explosion inside the cell shook the ancient corridor and everyone heard bricks drop on the enemies The sickening sound of roaring shifting wall and dropping rocks, and bone crushes and blood curdling screams filled the dungeon.

Then all was quiet.

Hunt opened the door and saw all the terrorists were on the ground, dead.

"This was for you Jace…" Hunt whispered.

Maple approached one of the dead terrorists, grabbed a fallen rock near his head and slammed it hard on his face, crushing its skull. Hunt jumped back startled.

"…and we're SIX people!" she blew up. "Learn to COUNT!"

Hunt looked back at Maple in surprise. Maple huffed, "We've gotta get out of here." She proposed.

"Hold on." Hunt went on the ground and strip-searched the terrorists for any weapons. He salvaged two smoke bombs and three guns: an AK-47 with enough bullets left, and two Glocks. He handed the AK to Sonic and the two guns to the girls.

Cassie stepped away from the guns, hands raised, "I'm not touching that."

"I am!" Maple said with a brisk tone. She snatched one of the Glock from Hunt's hands. Hunt was startled by her response.

"What?" she said.

"You are very sensitive today." He said.

"HEY!" she snapped, "When life gives you danger, you can't make lemonade out of it all right?! Let's go." She said and the gang departed.

Somewhere in the Castle Grounds

Cashmere slipped behind the wall and answered his phone to whisper.

"Trey-Trey…" he called the person on the phone, "Oh thank God you picked up…"

He paused to scowl, "Wha—dude! Now isn't the time to be an Airy-Fairy sissy about your name mate! I'm in big trouble here!"

"It's Castle Glendor. We're under attack by terrorists!" he paused, "Oh? So it's all over the news? … …wuh? I'm not dead! Why would they say I'm dea— ohhhh… y'know what? I've been playing dead for like 20 minutes or so, so that must be why… …wuh? I know this isn't a joke. Why do you think I'm calling YOU for?"

He then changed subjects "Hey listen to me okay? I know Mother couldn't attend the ceremony, and she must've been in total shock about what the media told her; but can you like make sure she's okay and tell her I'm still fine? Oh and can you also see that Princess Cassie is all right too? Y'know? My fiancee? And can you send help? I mean you still have that hidden talent of yours right?"

He paused, "Wait what? Someone is coming to my—I mean, our rescue already? Who?"

"He's talking about me!" a child girl's voice spoke.

Cashmere jumped at the sight of a young 9-year old girl in a red Shirley-Temple style dress and a red hooded cape and carried a picnic basket with her. She looked cute, adorable and innocent. But she was out in the open, at the mercy of terrorist.

"Okay, you are not what I expected." Cash said.

"Then who were you expecting?" the girl asked him.

"Another little girl," he admitted, "But older than you with powers."

The girl laughed out loud. "You're funny!"

"Shhhh!" he pulled her down to hide, "Not so loud! They might hear you!"

"Oh! Oh they heard me all right." The girl stood up, "And they heard you too."

She pulled out of her basket a metallic Dessert Eagle 50AE and pressed it hard to Cash's forehead. The breath left Cash's throat with a startling gasp.

"You're… you're one of them?"

"One of the best." She said, "I'm Bonnie Hood. Nice to meet you."

"But…but you're just a little girl."

"Yeah…" BB Hood interjected, "…and I'm your biggest fan too. Too bad we can't be friends forever because you're about to die."

His blood turned to ice. "No, WAIT!" Cash shouted, but too late. BB Hood swung the butt of her gun hard on his head and the next thing Cash saw was complete darkness.

Glendor Castle Dungeons

While one hostage fell unconscious, another hostage regained consciousness. Captain Toad blinked his weary eyes open.

"Wuh…huh…?"

"Hello there, kid." An old craggy voice called out to him.

"Wh-who?"

Squinting through his foggy vision he gazed over to the person who just spoke. He saw an old man, standing before him.

The old man had black pointy beard that was fading to a low gray, balding dark strand of hair peeking out of his red turban, had a black priestly gown with a sash, and he had a weird smile in which one of his tooth looked like a loose beast fang.

Captain Toad hopped to his feet and looked at the old man.

"Who are you?"

The old man laughed, "Why…? Is that a way to say thanks to the man who just saved your life?"

"Saved my…" Captain Toad let out a gasp as he digest the news he just heard. "Wait… you saved me from that ball?"

"Apparently."

Captain Toad gave him a bright smile.

"You see, I was looking for something. A treasure. And it's called the Scroll of Secrets, and…"

"Ooh! Ooh!" Captain Toad stretched out his hand upward, "I know where it is! I know where it is!"

Amiir raised his eyebrows in surprise, "Do you now?"

"Yeah!" Captain Toad pulled out from under his shirt, "I kept it all this time I was trapped in that ball!" he handed it to Amiir. Amiir took it and gave a smile. "Beautiful."

"Are you the chosen one?" Capt Toad asked, "I read its content, and I believe that only someone who can speak the ancient language of Arabic and Japanese can read its content."

Amiir smirked, "How does alssalam ealaykum and anata ga shinimasu yo sounds like?"

(Peace be upon you in Arabic, and You're gonna die in Japanese)

Captain Toad cocked his head on one side. "Umm… I'm thinking it's the ancient language."

Amiir's evil laugh shot out of his throat, "Ancient languages? Please. We speak it here!"

Captain Toad stopped smiling. He looked around, then looked back at Amiir, "Really? That explains…"

"My appearance. Yeah, you're right. You're not from the Nintendo World." Amiir stepped forward Captain Toad, who started backing away, "And you wanna know what I said? In both Arabic and Japanese?"

Captain Toad shook his head and kept backing up until his back felt the wall behind him.

Amiir slammed both hands on the wall, startling the Toad and his face closed in on him.

"PEACE be upon you. And you're gonna die."

His hand shot out after Captain Toad. Captain Toad screamed.

(-)

"Maybe there is a way we can save Captain Toad." Pit wondered to which Kirby agreed.

"But how?" Link said, "We're literally facing a killer here. And we're vulnerable."

Jenn looked at the Smash Brothers strangely, "Vulnerable?" She said, "Amiir Black is just one bony old weak man." she tried to sound convinced that it was true, but it wasn't. Amiir was instead the spawn of Satan.

"Compared to you guys," she went on, "who actually have powers, he has no chance."

She looked at each one of the characters, "Fox, Falco and Samus, you guys have your guns, take him out. Kirby, you can swallow him whole. Pit, you can shoot his ass with your bow. Luigi you got your fireball and vacuum. Link you got your Master Sword. And Mario—"

"Dr. Mario." Dr. Mario corrected.

"Whatever. You got your Super Jump AND can shove fireballs down his throat!"

"Actually it's shoving drugs down his throat."

Jenn glared.

Dr. Mario grinned, "But who's arguing? It's-a the same thing!"

The Smash Bros. looked at each other. Jenn did have a point. They had the advantage. All they had to do was break into the dungeon cell, get rid of Amiir and rescue Captain Toad. Easy-peasy.

Pit sighed uneasily, "I don't know guys…" he said, "I mean sure, he's a bad guy and all but still, he's an old man. And the light in my heart feels it's wrong."

"Poyo." Kirby chirped in agreement.

Jenn sighed.

The frantic scream of Captain Toad suddenly caught the heroes' attention. Everyone turned to see what was going on, but only saw Amiir on top of Toad.

"What's he doing to him now?" Luigi exclaimed.

"I don't know. Let's hope he's not torturing him!" Fox said.

Amiir turned around.

"Quick! Hide!" Dr. Mario warned.

The gang slid away from the door and went to hide in a corner. Next thing they knew they heard the dungeon door jingled open.

Seeing Amiir Black the first time made Jenn's legs crumble under her. How could she handle seeing him the second time.

The dungeon door finally swung open and he came out of the dungeon, holding Captain Toad by the leg. He was all tied up!

"Heyyy, let—let go! HELLP! HEEEELLP!" the Toad screamed.

Jenn and the others watched, unable to do anything. It was hard to believe that such an old aging man be so heartless and cruel to people around him. She wanted to run so bad, but her footsteps could alert him, so she just froze up and held her breath.

But that knowledge didn't stop Falco. The bird marched toward Amiir. Amiir heard the footsteps. He turned around, pulled out his gun and aimed at Falco. Falco drew his laser gun and pointed at Amiir.

Both of them froze up. Everyone held their breaths.

"Wuh…what are you pointing your laser gun at?" Captain Toad asked.

Amiir's snake eyes then glanced away from Falco, looking left, then looking right.

"We're-a still invisible." Samus informed the gang, "Don't-a worry."

The gang looked at each other. Their bodies was still transparent. Including Falco's.

"Laser gun?" Amiir chortled at Captain Toad's words. "Please." He waved his gun carelessly, "That gun is NOT a laser gun. That gun can end a life. Including Nintendo characters' lives."

"Wait what? You mean our games can be over? Without respawn? Without continues?"

Amiir glanced up and saw the invisibility cloaking device floating above him.

"I'll show you." Amiir casually said.

"Sh*t!" Jenn hissed, already guessing the mess that was gonna happen.

As soon as Amiir raised his gun up to the cloaking device, Fox instantly did his Side-Special attack—Fox Illusion—and snatched Falco out of sight.

BAM!

The device crumbled to pieces. The Smash Bros. and Jenn hid behind a wall, out of sight. But they were no longer invisible.

Amiir still stood there, cautiously gazing across his surroundings. "Hmph." He huffed.

Jenn and the Smash Bros. were frozen in terror and fear.

"Gee, how's your genius idea of taking him down working Jenn?" Falco snarled, "You never told us our games would be OVER!"

Samus jabbed Falco hard on the gut. Falco gasped.

"Whoever you are." Amiir shouted, "I can hear you."

Jenn gulped.

Amiir took a couple of steps toward Jenn and the Smash Bros. Jenn shook her head in disbelief. Tears of terror were flooding her eyes. This is NOT how she wanted her life to end this way.

"Maybe—" Captain Toad shouted, stopping Amiir's pace. "Maybe the noises are coming from people who err… who you still have…"

"Still are what?"

Captain Toad swallowed. "…people who are still your friends?"

Amiir paused. "Hmmm…" he said with a muttering thought. "You might be right." He said, "Can't believe I forgot about them. Eh, old age. What are you gonna do?" Amiir turned around and started walking away.

Jenn and the Smash Bros. took a small breath of relief.

The dungeon door was then heard open.

"You two." Amiir spoke to apparently two people inside the dungeon, "I don't like the noises you're making. So…"

BAM! BAM!

The heroes jumped at the sound of gunshots. Dead silence.

Then Captain Toad was heard, weeping. Amiir was coming out of the dungeon with him.

"You're coming with me." Amiir said to Captain Toad, "I can't wait for you to meet your new friends."

Footsteps then heard, fading out of the dark corridor. Then silence.

Jenn and the Smash Bros. came out of hiding and saw the cloaking device on the ground, completely shattered.

They then turned to the dungeon where Captain Toad and Amiir were earlier. Nobody was there. They turned to another dungeon chamber across from it. They saw two people in camo bleeding with holes on their foreheads.

Jenn choked back the tears, "He…he…he sh-sh—shot… his own… men…"

The Smash Bros. were silent.

"HE SHOT HIS OWN MEN!" Jenn cried.

The stressed out Luigi brushed his forehead.

"Maybe they were heroes? Who tried to save… save everyone?" Link said.

Jenn ran inside the dungeon and patted the dead bodies. She pulled out something from one of them: a skull bandana, with a C and a cross over the letter drawn on it with marker.

"This is the symbol of CRIA!" she snarled in tears, "They are NOT heroes!"

Pit bit his fingernails. Samus shook her head in disgust.

Falco grunted, "I should've killed him when I had the chance."

"And then what? You were gonna die too in the process?" Fox exclaimed.

Falco glared back.

Jenn stormed out of the room, "We have to go get Jace and the others. We have to rescue EVERYBODY out of this place! Before it's too late."

Unknown Location

"Don't try anything stupid now, you hear?" Ryan told Jace.

But that didn't seem to register to the young Italian gamer's mind.

He sat up and started pulling and yanking against the straps and tried to pull himself off the chair, which he soon realized its metal legs were bolted to the floor. But all he could do was extend his hands over the smooth metal arm of the chair.

He glanced around the straps on his wrists and legs. All were tight and secure. He couldn't even move his legs. Just rotate his ankle and that's it. His chest was getting tight and tears of despair were starting to cloud his vision.

"I thought I told you not to do anything stu—"

Ryan stopped then groaned in surrender, "Aw, why do I even bother wasting my breath when you're already strapped to that chair?"

"Oh god, it's like déjà vu all over again." He sighed, reminiscing the time he and his bully back in high school were held captive by criminals.

"Wuh?"

"You shouldn't have given him your glove."

"Wh…" Ryan looked shocked by that response. But then his face creased to a scowl, "Of course I shouldn't have!" he barked, "It was my only special prototype glove! Gosh, I hate this hillbilly from the Middle East. He better give me my baby back before he ends up spoiling it."

"This isn't the time to be a bigot!" Jace barked, "If I were you I'd be more worried about my life than some trinket!" he then quickly added, "Which I hate to admit it's a pretty sick invention."

Ryan's stunned glare changed into a proud smile, "Thank you."

"But your life is in danger!" he shouted desperately.

Ryan narrowed his eyes. His smile returned to his face. This time it was a stupid smile, "Whaaaaaat? Pssht! Don't be ridic."

"I mean it!"

"Yeah, you mean you're trying to escape, so you're trying to come up with a retarded story that Amiir Black is plotting to kill me after he kills you!"

"I…" Jace tried to protest but couldn't. That story WAS true. He could feel it in his bones. His breath came short. Time was running out. Amiir could be here any second and there was no getting through to Ryan. He shut his eyes, curled his fingers to fists, and forced himself to take a deep breath.

"Ryan. You need to listen to me very carefully. Amiir, he… he's the one who orchestrated 9/11."

Ryan rolled his eyes.

"He killed all those people including my dad." Jace gulped, "He told me that you were coming and… and he said that he was going to… that…" he trailed off remembering Amiir's words, or rather his lack of words, which was creepier than a threat. "… I don't know what he said…"

"See?" Ryan joked, "More lies. An attempt to escape."

"DAMN IT RYAN! I'M NOT LYING!" Jace exploded, "Amiir is going to kill you! Whether it's before or after he finishes me off, I don't know! But HE is going to KILL you! If you value your life, you have to get out of here. Now! Please!"

Jace stared up at Ryan for a moment, fighting back his tears, hoping he could read the seriousness in his olive eyes.

Ryan's face softened a bit, "You're really serious about this?" his voice rattled in disbelief.

Jace just nodded.

Ryan's lips parted. His eyes now reflecting the same deep pool of fear as Jace's.

"B-But why all of the sudden you care about my safety than your own?" Ryan's voice became a harsh whisper, "I mean, I'M the one who gave you up."

Jace shrugged, "...you could still untie me." he chuckled.

"Ha-ha. Nice try buddy. You're my only ticket to getting my reward of—"

Ryan was interrupted by the sound of the door up above slamming open. Then the sound was followed by a cry of terror. Then a body tumbling down the cave's stairs into the cold concrete near the two gamers. They just got a new prisoner among them. And he was a Nintendo character.

Captain Toad.

"What the…?" Ryan's jaws dropped.

Captain Toad, wrapped in strong rope, struggled to sit then lay eyes on both him and Jace. He stared back, dumbfounded.

"Ohhhh no…" he muttered, looking around, "Wh-where am I now?"

Outside Castle Glendor Audience Chamber

"Damn it Wolf, I swear to Hades I will rip that head of yours if you hurt my son." Bowser threatened Wolf.

"Yeah, yeah, yeah, save the dramatic threat for later reptile. Right now Amiir has an assignment for you. And it was to kill. Remember?"

Bowser huffed.

Wolf then turned to Ganondorf, "You're welcome to help Bowser if you want… but it'll cost you."

"And what would it cost me?" Ganondorf asked.

"Your head for helping." Wolf said, smirking evilly, "And two birds with one stone for me."

Ganondorf said nothing. Instead he punched his right hand into his open palm in a threatening pose. The dark magic emitted from his hands.

Wolf noticed but didn't seem bothered by the taunt.

"So you're not just working for the she-devil, you're also working for the he-beast too?" Bowser asked.

"Gotta put my eggs in many baskets right? Playtime's over, punks."

Ganondorf then pointed a threatening finger at Wolf, "you're right dog. The time for you to roll over is finished." He said, "Because guess what? I'm gonna do everything in my power to make sure that you don't just play dead. You'll BE dead."

"Right." Wolf chuckled.

"Good luck Koopa." Ganondorf said to Bowser then punched his palm again and teleported in a puff of smoke.

Wolf signaled the Black Knight, and Black Knight signaled the CRIA terrorists who had occupied the chamber. Bowser watched as two more set of terrorists came in, escorting with them three hostages: King Gabriel, Queen Grace and Belgick—Cassie's family.

"Your Majesties, I'd like to introduce you to the King of Koopas, Bowser." Wolf said tauntingly, "He's here on business too and has quite enjoyed the party… well, up until recently I'm afraid."

Bowser observed the two royals. They looked on in utter shock, as if they hadn't digested the grave situation that just happened. Belgick however kept a stoic stance.

"You are not gonna get away with this, you hear me?" Belgick barked at Wolf.

Wolf stepped in front of Belgick and slugged him hard across the face. Belgick grunted and spat blood.

"I'd shut up if I were you." Wolf said, "You're lucky we kept you alive."

"What do you…" King Gabriel sniffled, "What do you want from… from us…?"

"Something that belongs to Amiir Black." Wolf said, "I take it you have it, no?"

"We owe nothing from that terrorist." Belgick growled.

"Really now?" Wolf chuckled, "Guess you haven't heard. The Golden Ball? And the four elemental Djinns? This Country's royal treasure was a prized possession to the old man. A family heirloom to his tribe. And your grandfather robbed him of it!"

The royals stayed quiet. They gazed at each other in secrecy.

"Wow, so the silence speaks volume heh?" Wolf chuckled, "No denial heh? Well you better be warned: if you don't return the item and the Djinns to him…"

Wolf made a single tap on his device. Seconds later, another sickening gunshot and a cry of pain filled the castle. King Gabriel and Queen Grace jumped at the horrific sound. Belgick flinched.

"…you might as well kiss the rest of this party good bye." Wolf said, "Including your niece. Who knows? Maybe it was her that just got the bullet through her skull."

"N-No…" Queen Grace sobbed. King Gabriel tighly hugged his wife and sobbed in silence. Belgick stared with his eyes on the floor, trying to resist the urge to burst into tears and anger.

Bowser looked on in shock. He didn't know why, but he started to feel guilty. And bad for those king and queen. To wonder whether their loved one was still alive… or worse was now a gambling feeling. The thought of his junior, dead or alive at the hand of Wolf or that she-devil Marionetta or whatever her name was, was twisting his mind with rage, especially in a world where Game Over was permanent and imminent.

"That's right." Wolf smirked, then turned to face the crowd, "That's right folks! This castle is now officially under lockdown! We got men of CRIA roaming the castle halls looking for unfortunate souls to take out. But your lives can all be spared if your beloved King and Queen decide to cooperate!" he then turned back to the royals.

"And you better cooperate." He said, "The Golden Ball and the Djinns back, for the remaining lives left in this castle. Your choice."

"What about my son?" Bowser asked, "And his friends and the princesses? You'll leave them alone too right?"

"Wolfie! Wolfie!" a young girl's voice echoed through the chamber. Everyone turned to see a young blonde girl about 9 year-old with a red hoodie cape and a fancy pink Shirley Temple-like dress. She looked awefully cheery despite the situation in the castle.

"Look what I found!" she said, dragging with her by a metal chair a young man in a royal outfit, tied up and gagged on his seat. He struggled to break free but he couldn't. He huffed and grunted angrily.

Belgick and the King and Queen were shocked to see him.

"Oh my—" King Gabriel gasped.

"Prince Cashmere, oh my god." Queen Grace knelt before the young man, who was twice as startled as they were to see him.

That's the prince of England, Bowser thought before turning his attention to the girl in red, "And who is this immature chick?"

"Ohhh mine." The girl in red stared in awe of Wolf, "Wolfie? What big nose you have."

"Yes, yes, I have a big nose. Sue me." Wolf complained.

"No no, I mean." She waved a finger over Wolf's nose. "You got a little…"

Wolf felt his muzzle until he could feel what the girl was talking about.

"Ohhh, GRRUHEAT! A ZIT!" he howled with a raging fit, "NOW my nose is gonna get huge!" he huffed, "Dang, I gotta ask Bayonetta for that beauty cream now."

"When you do see her," Bowser grunted. "tell her I'll see her in Hell."

"Gladly." He then turned to the girl in red, "Everyone, this is Bonnie Hood. She's from another world. Second-in-command to the CRIA Army. Amiir Black is rather fond of her."

Queen Grace's jaws dropped. "B-But she's just a child…"

Prince Cashmere made muffling sound in objection and struggled more. BB Hood kicked him on the side and he cried out in pain.

"Quiet!" she hissed at him, then turned to the King and Queen, "And yes, Your Majesties. I'm a child. A child who's not afraid to KILL YOU if you don't SHUT UP!"

"Now that a girl!" Wolf pointed at her with a proud laugh. He then turned to Bowser, "Bowser. Work with her. Get these royal toons talking. Use any force by any necessary means you need. We must get that Golden Ball and the Djinns back."

"Actually," BB Hood said, "they already found the Golden Ball. And the Djinns."

"Oh…" Wolf halfheartedly said, "…oh good. Then our work here is done." He turned to leave and the Black Knight was about to follow.

"Wait, really?" BB Hood said, "That's it? We just let them go?"

Wolf laughed, "I didn't say we should let them go… scoffs. Seriously Bon-Bon. Keep up with the CRIA program girl."

The Black Knight stabbed the floor with his blade and a Warp sigil appeared under him and Wolf. They both vanished leaving Bowser, the King and Queen, Belgick, Prince Cashmere, and the rest of the audience chamber hostages, at the mercy of BB Hood and the rest of the CRIA terrorists.

"Wuh—HEYY! WE GOT A DEAL WOLF! YOU LET MY SON AND THE PRINCESSES GO!" Bowser roared but his shout fell to deaf ears. BB Hood pulled out her machine guns and so did the terrorists and they unleashed their barrages of bullets on the innocents.

Glendor Catacombs

-"I don't know what's going on, but everything seems so different." Captain Toad said.

"That's because you're in another world, Captain Toad." Jace said.

The captain turned to him, "Yeah, I kinda figured that out after—" he paused, studying Jace's face, "Hey, you look familiar…"

Ryan rolled his eyes, "Ugh, yes. We know already! He's the White Knight y'all Nintendo guys are so gaga over. I'm more gags than gaga."

Captain Toad looked at Ryan then at Jace, "White Knight? Maybe you can help us get out of here! Help us escape!"

Jace sighed, "I can't. I'm all tied up." He uncurled his fingers for emphasis.

"Oh no…" Captain Toad groaned.

"But where did you come from?" he asked.

"I was locked inside that Golden Ball for almost an eternity!" Captain Toad explained, "It was terrifying!"

"Was Shulk with you?" Jace asked.

"Shulk?" Captain Toad shook his head, "No I... I don't know what happened to him. Last time I saw him, he... betrayed me."

"What?" Both Ryan and Jace exclaimed.

Captain Toad nodded, "But it wasn't his fault! I saved him!"

The boys looked puzzled.

"How?" asked Ryan.

"That Golden Ball." The Captain said, "It was supposed to lock demons away for all eternity. A device designed by the people of Weyard."

"Wait did you say designed by the people of Weyard?" Jace asked to which Captain Toad gave a confirming nod.

"That explains the Djinns." Ryan muttered.

"That explains a lot." Jace muttered to himself.

"But the demon Shulk fought against, he tried to use the ball against him. But I jumped in the way..."

"Whoa." Jace breathed.

"But that man who broke me free from the ball…"

"Amiir?"

"He took something very valuable from me. It's vital that I get it before he misuses its content."

"What is it?"

"The Scroll of Secrets." The Captain said, "While I was in the ball, I managed to study its content. It contains some vital spells and artifacts information that no one should have access to. All written in Arabic and Japanese! And he has it because he speaks BOTH languages!"

Arabic AND Japanese? Jace didn't know any Arabic but he was fluent in Japanese.

"Japanese?" Ryan blinked, "But Amiir doesn't know Japanese. Only Arabic."

That made Jace pause and wonder. If he could get his hand on that scroll, he could stop Amiir somehow. Perhaps that's how he could be Amiir's undoing! He could prevent him from misusing the scroll's power.

"But what if he does something bad with it?" Captain Toad asked, "Can he do something bad with it? How well do you know him?"

Jace bit his lips. "Let's say he's worse than Hitler and Bin Laden combined."

Captain Toad cocked his head on one side, "Huh?"

"Bowser and Ganondorf combined."

"Oh."

"I know he can't do something bad to me." Ryan said.

Captain Toad looked even more confused.

"Ryan," Jace said, "Did you not hear me say 'He's worse than Hitler and Bin Laden combined?' Amiir is EVIL! You can't trust him!"

"And you expect me to trust you?"

"What?"

"I'm not letting you escape!" Ryan then turned to Captain Toad, "No hard feelings Captain. That includes you because I'm not a fan of your game."

Captain Toad lowered his head, "ouch…"

"…but why should I even listen to you, Jace? I've tried to kill you before. So what are the odds that you're going to do a 180 on me for revenge if I decide to listen to you?"

"Ryan, please…"

"No, just—" Ryan paused to breathe out, pushing that fear off his mind, "…just stop, okay? I deserve a reward for ratting you out, and also a reward for getting an innocent citizen killed, not a bullet to my brain!"

"Dude, you—" Jace stopped, "Wait. That boy? With his head cut off... That was YOU?"

Ryan frowned, "what? Ew, his head wasn't cut off when he got..."

Ryan's voice trailed as his gaze turned to the floor at the farthest corner. That's when he saw the decaying head of the blond boy, nudged under the metal chair.

Ryan jumped back with a loud screeching yelp and crawled backward. Captain Toad saw it too and screamed in terror.

On cue a gunshot was heard upstairs. Everyone jumped with a startling cry. A stunned silence soon followed.

Another gunshot, louder than the last shook the cave, forcing everyone to look up.

Then after a couple of seconds, the noise was followed by a machine gun running, and the bloody cries of people falling to their deaths.

Then cold silence.

The cave exit opened and in came Amiir. His hand held on a Dessert Eagle. His back strapped with a machine gun.

"Phew. It's done." He said.

"Done?" Ryan asked nervously. "What's done?"

"Just put a bullet to my CIA men's brain." He set the gun down on the table next to his tea. "They were too noisy."

He took his teacup and was about to drink it when he stopped to stare at it. He then looked at Ryan and narrowed his cold murderous eyes."You poisoned my tea, did you?"

"What?" Ryan shook his head. "No! Why would I poisoned your tea?"

"I would have done it." Captain Toad muttered.

"Yeah, too bad we're both tied up." Jace agreed.

"SHUT UP you two!" Ryan barked. He turned back to Amiir, "Seriously Amiir, why would I do that?"

"Oh, I dunno. Because you knew of what I was going to do to you?" he said.

Ryan gulped.

Amiir laughed, "Relax. What I was going to do is give you a reward for bringing these two to me. Seriously, it's like nobody can trust me in this world."

Ryan let out a sigh of relief, then turned back to Jace with a 'see? I told you' glance.

Jace ignored it. "…even your own men you just killed?" he said.

Ryan grumbled, "Shut. Up."

"No. He's right." Amiir said, turning his attention to Jace, "See I could kill you right here and now. But with what I have now, that's all going to change."

"Oh no…" Captain Toad groaned, already guessing what was coming next.

Amiir pulled from under his tunic pocket a scroll of bronze color. He waved it proudly.

"The Scroll of Secrets. My precious treasure, back in my hands. I can finally rule America with it now. No. Better, I can rule the world! It possesses secrets on obtaining true dominating power to create and destroy the world. And I'm all about destroying it."

He slipped the scroll back to his tunic, "Now as for your reward, Ryan. Stand up."

Ryan stood to his feet.

Amiir then pulled out handcuffs from under his tunic, grabbed his gun from the table and aimed for Ryan's face.

"Wait, whoa what are you doing man?" Ryan stammered.

"Your reward!" he said, "Turn around."

"B-but Amiir. There must be some kind of mis—"

"TURN AROUND!"

Ryan shook his head, stammering.

Amiir glanced at his gun-wielding hand. Noticing something important, he chuckled, "Oh right. I forgot. I don't have to make you turn around."

He dropped the handcuffs, grabbed the gun with his other hand, setting his gloved hand free. He raised the gloved hand up and jolts of electricity shot out of the fingers and struck Ryan. Ryan trembled just as heavy chains formed around him, binding his torso down to his legs.

Ryan helplessly dropped to the floor. He looked like he just got slapped really hard without warning.

"I can just bind you up like a helpless chimp." Amiir said.

"What are you doing?!" Ryan shouted in terror.

Amiir cocked his gun again, "Something I should have done a long time ago." he said, "And it's been a long time coming." he turned to Capt Toad and pulled the trigger.

BAM!

Capt Toad hacked and his head lolled on his chest, unconscious. Both Ryan and Jace screamed in shock.

But Amiir didn't stop there. He shot a jolt of electricity at Jace, striking his chest with searing pain. Jace screamed in pain. Ryan screamed in terror. The electricity stopped.

Jace gasped, his voice hoarse, the surge of pain that had rushed through his lungs and heart completely numbed him.

Ryan looked back at the terrorist, then at his rival, then at the dead mushroom boy, dazed and feeling utterly betrayed.

But the horror on Ryan's face never left. Because the next thing he saw on Jace's chest robbed his breath and maxed out his panic level. A beeping sound was heard. Red digits were seen.

"ohh...sh*t..." he gasped.

Jace gazed at his chest. His heart dropped like a stone. There was a huge machine with a timer strapped to his chest.

A bomb!

5:00. 4:59. 4:58. 4:57...

Jace couldn't say a word. He was too stunned. Too petrified.

Amiir grabbed the suitcase.

"How did you—" Ryan couldn't finish his sentence. He turned to Amiir screaming. "WHAT THE HELL MAN! WE WERE A TEAM!"

"Oh so you think?" Amiir chuckled. He raised his gun at Ryan and pulled the trigger.

BAM!

Ryan dropped on the ground with a wail. Jace's voice quivered.

Ryan was still alive. But he was bleeding on his left knee.

"We're not friends, Somith." Amiir said, "We're enemies. Last time I tried to have a friend, he betrayed me for a mistake I made. What's worse? He built a country using a christened name I came up with! My name. My country. So I'll repay him the favor. He will lose all that he once held dear to his heart. His country. With an explosive thank you. From the bottom of my heart." he sarcastically said the last part.

4:40. 4:39. 4:38.

Amiir then turned to Jace, "By the way, Reeds." He said, "I lied. You're in the catacombs under Glendor's dungeons. Under Castle Glendor itself. And right under the Audience Chamber. NOT in the middle of a desert underground in Afghanistan like I said."

Jace's eyes widened, "...are you terrorista for real?!" he whispered.

"Oh! Aww, I'm sorry. Did I lie? Oops." Amiir smirked, "Anyway, once the bomb goes off, the entire foundation of the palace will fall, the castle will collapse and the entire kingdom of Glendor will blast off with everyone in it. The atomic bomb from 1945? Experience its 2015* version. Oh! And unless you want to go out of this world sooner, I wouldn't think about touching that bomb on your chest. It activates by touch technology."

Jace just shook his head, tears welling up in his eyes.

"So," Amiir made a salute, "Hasta la NEVER. Rest in pieces!"

He took off with the diamond suitcase, leaving behind his trail of evil laughter.

"NOO!" Both Ryan and Jace shouted in despair.

The three captives stared at the bomb.

4:07. 4:06. 4:05

"So Ryan? Any more SMARTY COMEBACKS?" Jace screamed at Ryan.

Castle Glendor Dungeons

Everyone in Castle Glendor was now completely unaware of how grave the situation had become.

-Somewhere within the deepest catacombs of Castle Glendor—the very foundation of the castle and the entire country—an atomic bomb had been planted by Amiir Black himself. And the bomb itself was strapped on Jace's chest with Ryan's hacked glove.

Cassie, Hunt, Sonic and the rest of the gang had escaped their dungeon and were on their way upstairs to save the royal family in danger. With so many casualties so far and the media all over the attack, there is no telling what the aftermath would be like now…

Solid Snake and his new British partner of the Kingsman Secret Service Eggsy search for any innocents alive. But they had true goals in mind: Eggsy is looking for Prince Cashmere of England and the Glendorian royals. And Snake is looking for Amiir Black, and hopefully getting revenge on Wolf.

Bowser and Wolf cannot see eye-to-eye, and Bowser—in the situation he's in right now—may or may not make a life-changing decision soon.

And Jenn and the Smash Bros. were searching for Jace, but were unable to figure out where exactly he was in the castle as they were unaware that he, and Captain Toad and Ryan were right below the dungeon. Access to the dungeons though was like finding a secret passage.

"Remind me again why you didn't let me kill Amiir when I had the chance?" A frustrated Falco asked.

"Because he was gonna blow your head's out?" Pit commented.

"Not funny." Falco snapped back.

"He was our only ticket to find Jace." Jenn said.

"And why did we NOT follow him when that fact is true?"

"Better question: how is it a fact?" Pit asked, "We've searched every corner of the dungeons and no sign of him!"

"Can't-a you contact Palutena?" Dr. Mario asked.

"I can't!" Pit said, "There's no signal down here."

"Guys, I know Jace is here." Jenn argued, "I just know it."

"How?" Samus asked, "Try calling his phone again. Maybe you miscalculated his location. he and Hunt and Maple might still in Ireland."

"No!" Jenn shouted, "What? You don't think I've tried several times? I know my cousin! He can't be easily swayed. You have any idea how much I want to be proven wrong? That he's safe in Ireland and not here in Glendor suffering? And you heard Pit! There's no signal!"

"Calm down Jenn." Luigi tried reaching out.

"NO!" she screamed, pulling away and choking back tears, "I'm NOT gonna calm down! I can't calm down! My baby cousin is out there! In trouble! I can't…" she finally broke down, bawling, "I just… I can't lose him! I CAN'T!"

The gang gathered around Jenn and hugged her sympathically.

"It's gonna be okay." Fox said, "Jace is a fighter. If he's in trouble, he's gonna get through this."

"Aww…" an unknown voice caught the heroes' attention. They turned to the source and found themselves face-to-face with Pigma Dengar and Andrew Oinkonny. They each were strapped with real AK-47 guns.

"Well if it isn't a fine reunion." Pigma oinked a laugh.

"They got the guns of this world." Samus said, pulling out her own gun. Fox and Falco pulled out their laser guns as well.

"How did you find us?" Falco asked.

Andrew fake a startled gasp, "Why, I'm shocked. Fox didn't tell you."

Falco glanced curiously at Fox.

"Fox told you nothing, because Fox don't know nothing! What'chu talking about skinny a—"

"—I'm talking about Mr. DeMonsera." Pigma laughed, "Remember Mr. DeMonsera, right? Owner of that candy factory back in" he said the name with a French accent, "Paris? No formula was given to the fool who thought they could trust an old man. Instead you got a virus that's been tracking your every move."

Falco glared at Fox. Fox lowered his head in shame.

"That's how we got to capture Zelda." said Andrew, "Oh, and Princess Peach too."

The Smash Bros. looked stunned. This entire time they thought Bowser was behind this whole mess. But it was Star Wolf.

But Falco wasn't thinking about that. He had a dark scowl piercing through Fox right now.

"Fox." he asked silently. "Is it true?"

Fox let out a defeated sigh. Falco lowered his gun and shook his head, muttering, "unbelievable."

"Falco, wait. In my defense I thought I was doing each one of us a favor about the formula—"

"No you were doing yourself a favor, you chocolate addict buffoon!" Falco shouted, "It's because of you that we've lost TWO princesses!"

"Hey!" Luigi shouted at the angry bird, "Don't-a blame Fox for what happened to Princess Peach. It was Bowser's doing?"

"So you still wanna pin this on Bowser?"

"Well Star Wolf didn't start tracking us down until after the fact!" Luigi argued.

"Guys," Pit said, "Now isn't the time to fight!"

"Angel boy is right!" Pigma shouted back, catching everyone's attention. They leveled their guns at the Smash Bros. and Jenn. "This is the time to die."

Kirby jumped in front of the heroes.

"Kirby don't!" they all shouted.

Pigma and Andrew opened fire. Kirby stretched out his mouth and all the bullets went into his mouth. He couldn't swallow them. He could only spit them. Pigma and Andrew watched in horror, expecting their untimely end by Kirby.

Kirby gave them a cocky smirk before spewing out the bullets at the two enemies.

"UWAAAH!" Pigma and Andrew raised their arms in the attempt to block the barrage of bullets… but someone beat them to it.

Snake was spinning his assault rifle like it was a samurai blade, ricocheting Kirby's bullets away.

"What the…? HEY! What gives?" Pit barked.

"What gives?" Snake stepped forward until he was in the middle, between the heroes and the two Star Wolf villains. He finally turned to the villains, "You're messing with two of my targets."

Pigma and Andrew gasped, "What?"

Snake aimed his rocket launcher at the two Star Wolf villains, "They're mine."

He pulled the trigger and a great explosion rocked the dungeons. Pigma and Andrew flew through a wall and crashed through a wall, blasting off into the night sky screaming.

Snake turned to the heroes, "Looks like you could use a lending hand."

The heroes nodded.

"Looking for something?" Eggsy asked.

"M…my cousin." Jenn choked back the tears.

"Ah," Snake said, "Never met him before, but I'm here to save basically everyone here in this castle."

"Wuh… so do I!" Eggsy argued to which Snake ignored. Snake then walked past the group, "Follow me."

The heroes soon followed.

Glendor Palace Audience Chamber

-The entire audience chamber was quiet. The air had the horrible stench of death for Bowser.

Bodies of guests and celebrities filled the floor, their blood staining it. Bowser heard some of the hostages weeping in agony. Someone crying out for help.

Nobody was gonna help them now.

Bowser thought of his son Bowser Jr. and how he should get to him. Wolf was gone, that BB Hood girl was dancing over the dead bodies like a psychotic brat, pretty much every enemy were distracted.

He turned to leave when he saw the King, the Queen, Belgick and Prince Cashmere besides him with the two terrorists behind them.

"You!" Belgick barked at Bowser, "This is one of your friends' doing right?"

"Huh?"

The Queen hushed the King, "Don't, honey. Please."

"Why do I care?" he snapped back, "Our niece could be dead by now." He turned back to Bowser, "And it's all your fault! And that Jacen friend of yours! If he hadn't stolen the Golden Ball in the first place—"

"Now hold up one second, old man. Jace stealing that ball was NOT my doing! And he is NOT my friend!" he growled, "Seriously, first people accuse me of capturing the princess when Wolf and that she-devil Bayonetta were behind this whole mess, and now YOU two? I don't even KNOW you!"

"You're right." Belgick spoke, "We barely know each other. But you're still part of CRIA. A terrorist. And enemy of our state."

Bowser let out a belly laugh, flame snorts shot out of his nose, "Really? A terrorist? I'm the King of Koopas! Not a terrorist."

"From which kingdom, terrorist kingdom?" Belgick taunted.

Prince Cashmere muffled along to Belgick's claim, as if he was trying to say "That's exactly what I was gonna say."

"Should I shut him up, Bowser?" one of the terrorists asked Bowser as he pressed the machine gun barrel hard on the back of his head. Belgick flinched. "O'Donnell said we can do whatever we want with these hostages now." He said.

"And you heard what the king said." The second terrorist added, "His secret niece could be dead now."

Bowser was just about to respond when he heard BB Hood laughing hysterically.

He turned to see her approached a woman and her child. The duo were shaking in terror at the killer coming toward them. Bowser watched the duo cowarding. He may be evil, but seeing this callous act was beyond his standards.

BB Hood raised her war gun and aimed at the duo. They were crying, holding each other tight for the worst to come.

"Now let's see," she said, "who is going down first?"

Bowser narrowed his eyes, growling under his breath.

"Eenie-Meenie-Miney…"

Something soon caught the BB Hood's attention next to the woman and child. It was the family's baby. She leveled the gun away from them to the crying toddler.

"Boom." She grinned, slowly pulling the trigger.

That's when Bowser attacked!

The Koopa King slammed his claws at BB Hood's arm and she dropped the gun right as it fired. The fired bullet hit the floor, then bounced and went through a hole inches from the baby. Baby was safe! Family was safe. But the audience chamber was in sheer panic.

"WHAT THE—"

Bowser grabbed BB Hood by the head. "What do you think you're doing?" he growled to her face, "This baby could be your baby sister or your minion."

"What are you doing? Let go! LET GO!"

"YOU WANT ME TO LET YOU GO? FINE!"

"LET GO! LET—"

He slammed her through a wall. The wall split into a crevasse and exploded into a big hole.

"GOOOOOOOOOOOOooooooooooo…"

BB Hood and her scream plummeted into her death. The court shrieked more in exclamation.

The two terrorists flinched. They just watched an enemy killed one of their commanders.

"FREEZE!" they rushed into the room and raised their weapons at Bowser. They started firing.

Bowser jumped in between them and the audience and did his Up-Special attack—Whirling Fortress. The bullets ricocheted and severally impaled the terrorists in the head and upper chest. They instantly dropped like flies.

Panic overwhelmed the remaining audience chamber once again. Bowser looked around. He turned to the woman and her two kids. Her baby was still crying but her eldest baby child looked on at Bowser in utter surprise as she did. She finally formed a faint smile and whispered, "Thank you." through tears as her mother hugged her and her baby tight.

But the audience chamber was in so much stressful panic mode they didn't get what just happened. Bowser just saved an innocent woman and kids from a villainess working for an evil villain person. Very OOC of him, but he did not had the time (and skill) to tell them to chill and not to worry.

"QUIIIIEEEEET!"

His roar, like that of a mighty lion, swiftly caused a major wind blast and everyone went to a serious hush… with some occasional whispering though.

Black Knight warped back to the room with Wolf. Wolf looked around and menacingly approached Bowser, "What the hell is going on here?"

Bowser grabbed Wolf by the throat and lifted him up. Wolf choked.

"I'll tell you what's going on here, you miserable puppy. I'M in charge here now!" Bowser raged, "And my first order is simple: tell me where my son and the princesses are."

"Or…or else…wh-what…?"

"Or I crush your trachea."

His grip tightened around Wolf's neck. A bone crack was heard. Wolf howled in pain.

Castle Glendor Dungeons

"We're going this way." Cassie said. She was leading the group from the catacombs to their destination of Glendor Castle, as she knows the place rather well.

Sonic observed Hunt, Maple and Cassie. All he wanted to do was to find his friend Shulk. He never would've thought his search would cost the lives of their friend and family. Guilt wrenched his heart.

"Guys I'm sorry about all of this." He said, "I should never have gotten you all in this mess."

"You SHOULD feel sorry!" Maple roared, "Because of you, Cassie may never be with her uncle and aunt again, and Hunt would never be reunited with Jace! And I'm NEVER gonna have my chance of being Jace's boyfriend! This is ALL YOUR—"

"MAPLE!" Hunt shouted. Maple glared at him. Hunt stepped back, hands raised. "Okay, I know you're upset. I am too. But now isn't the time to mourn. We have to get back to the Castle and find any survivors."

Maple just glared like, "So?". She looked like she was about to go psycho on anyone right now.

"Let me speak to her, guys." Cassie proposed. The boys went in front. Cassie wrapped a gentle hand around Maple's. Maple fought back her tears.

"Thank you, princess." Maple sniffled.

"Please call me Cassie." She said. "You've been really worked up lately. And I don't think it's just because our lives are at risk here, and you had a school crush on Jacen."

Maple sighed in defeat, "You're right. I don't know what's going on. I'm very irritated and it's not just because of what I heard. My family is really worried about me, we were supposed to have a nice holiday vacation, celebrating my great-uncle's birthday, but we're here in a hostage situation, wearing weapons like in a Call of Duty game, and my pecs hurt. Oh, and here's a twofer. I don't think my panties feel dry anymore… I must've freaked out and peed myself."

"Wait a minute…" Cassie gasped, "Maple, that's not the fear talking. I think you're having your…"

Maple rapidly blinked in disbelief, "My… … what?"

"I think you're having your first period."

Maple glared at Cassie as if she was talking nonsense, "I don't have my first period! I only have a period! And I had it when I was 10."

"Uhh, honey." Cassie said, "I think you get your period… periodically."

Maple's eyes widened, "You're KIDDING me? My dad told me it was a one-time thing! Ugh, I knew I should've discuss this with Mom."

"Shhh!" Sonic said.

"WHAT?" Maple snarled. All heads turned to her in surprise of her outburst.

"Oops. I mean… what?" she harshly whispered.

"We have company." Hunt informed.

The weapon-equipped heroes raised their guns up high. Someone came in from the corner, and jumped back arms raised.

"Whoa, easy bruv!" spoke a British voice, "We're here to help."

The man that came out wore a suit, looked about the same age as Hunt and Jace and had a boyish sandy brown hair and wore thick glasses. The heroes lowered their guns. It's not an enemy.

"Who are you?" Hunt asked.

"Nevermind who I am." The young British agent in suit said, "The only thing you should know is that we're here to rescue you." He turned to Cassie and gave her a warm smile, "You must be Princess Glendor, yea?"

"Uhm… I don't know you." Cassie hesitated, "Really."

Eggsy dismissively shook his head and smiled, "It's all right luv. Your secret's safe with me. Come with me all. We gotta get out of here."

"Who are you?"

"I work for the Kingsman Secret Service," he said. "…and the name is—"

"HUNT!"

The gang froze at the shout of Hunt's name. Hunt turned around and to his biggest surprise, he couldn't believe who he just saw rushing toward him with the Smash Bros.

"Actually it's not," the young Brit guy tried to introduce himself, "it's…"

"Jenn!" Hunt gasped. "Uhm…" he formed a fake smile, "wh-what are you doing here?"

Jenn gave him a dark scowl.

"Oh you mean what am I doing here? Yeah, you see I'm just here on a tour visiting the grotto of Glendor."

"No you're not here to visit the grotto of Glendor." Jenn said, examining the guns and the weapons he and the Classic Capers and the girls had on, "You're obviously trying to stay alive as you and Jace and Maple and the rest of your crew got held hostage by CRIA and his psychotic leader Amiir Black!"

Hunt gulped. "…okay, you could say that."

Jenn turned to Cassie and gave her a dark scowl, "And who the hell are you?"

Cassie glared back at Jenn.

"I wouldn't talk to the princess if I were you, lady." said the brit secret agent, "You're speaking to the princess of Glendor, soon to be married to Prince Cashmere of England. And I'm here on a secret mission to see that both royal families are safe."

Jenn gasped, "Oh my gosh, I'm so sorry." She then curtsied, "I didn't know. Pleased to meet you Princess Glendor."

Cassie shook her head, "No, please. Call me Cassie."

"You said you were looking for your cousin?" the brit guy said.

"Yeah." Jenn said, "I heard the news of the terrorist attack and I instantly assumed he was been held hostage here." She then turned to Hunt and Maple, "And judging by the sight of Hunt and Maple and their new friends HERE, my assumption was correct. WHERE IS HE?"

Hunt let out a defeated sigh and shrugged, "We don't know. We're searching for him too."

Jenn looked ready to cry.

"It's gonna be okay." Sonic said to Jenn. "We'll find him. Don't worry."

"At least you got the princess safe Eggsy." Snake called the Brit guy that.

Eggsy's eyes widened and his lips twitched.

Sonic chortled, "Eggsy? Like Eggman Eggsy? That's your real name?" he burst out laughing.

Eggsy looked offended. "It's a very unique name!" he said, "And it's not Eggman, it's Eggsy."

"He's from another Earth Realm." Snake said.

That raised Hunt's interest, and so did the interest of the group.

The gang tried to say something but Snake interrupted, "Yeah, I know. Geographic lessons later. But right now let's find your loved ones and bedazzle out of this mess alive. By the way, the Secret Service will be working with MI-6 and I'm currently collaborating with the FBI and my team. So… no need for any Central Intelligence help."

Maple raised her eyebrows.

"The walls in here are very thin." Snake said, "So we can hear everything you said."

"He also has a listening device installed in each cell." Eggsy revealed, patting Snake in the back.

"Do you HAVE to ruin the element of surprise?" barked Snake.

"Do you HAVE to talk too much?" snarled Maple, "Let's go!"

And the heroes were off.

Castle Glendor Dungeons

-Survivors and those who are barely surviving watched in awe of Bowser's grip to Wolf's throat.

Wolf turned to the Black Knight. "Duh…do…do some…do something…" he begged.

Black Knight did nothing.

"DO…S—SOMETHING…!"

"No."

Wolf gasped. "Nuh-no?"

Black Knight removed his mask to reveal his handsome face. "I said…" he stepped forward the bounded Prince Cashmere. "no."

Black Knight pulled out his massive sword the Ettard, raised it up and brought it down.

Cashmere was free. Cashmere removed the gag off him and went to untie the King and Queen, but the terrorists raised their guns at him, stopping him.

"What the hell do you think you're doing pretty boy. They are hostages!" Wolf struggled. "You defy following my orders?"

"I never follow orders from puppies like you." He glanced at Bowser and nodded.

Bowser knew what that meant. Take care of the trash. Bowser smiled.

"Hey, WAIT!" Wolf tried to argue, but Bowser's grip tightened all the more.

"Where… are… my son and princesses?" He let out a low threatening grunt to Wolf's face.

"I…-th-thought I told you! With Bayonett—"

"TELL ME WHERE THEY ARE EXACTLY?"

"Ack! Air…AIR… …"

"WHERE?"

"Shh…shh…shh… ship…"

"WHERE ARE THEY?"

"Airship…" Wolf cracked, "I said airship…!"

Bowser paused, "Oh." He said, then dropped Wolf on the ground. Wolf coughed and gagged.

"I thought you were asking for air."

Wolf rubbed his sore throat, "what… did you…think?" he groaned.

"Bowser." Zelgius called out to the Koopa King. "Amiir plots to kill Jace."

"I only care about my minions and my son and Princess Peach." Bowser said, "So why should I care?"

"Good question by the way. Yeah. You should care, because…"

Zelgius went over to Wolf and struck his face hard with a kick. Wolf went unconscious. The Black Knight bent down on his knee and pulled out Wolf's phone. He handed it to Bowser.

"…he and that Wolf guy have been watching them through this device that can see people from other places."

Bowser watched on the phone screen, a live footage of Jace, Ryan and Captain Toad in a secluded area. On Jace's chest was something that looked like a machine with digits counting down 3:21. 3:20. 3:19...

"What a fancy-looking device you got Wolfie." Bowser complimented the unconscious wolf, "Is that supposed to be a cellphone?" he turned to Belgick, expecting an answer.

Belgick just looked on in surprise, "I… I don't know! I'm from Tellius! We don't know how these weird things work!" Zelgius said. "…and you're not afraid of a bomb that can take out…" he then whispered, "…a whole country?"

"Why should I care about that? Why can't you go get it yourself?" Bowser asked.

"Uhh, my armor is too heavy, so I can't run? Psht." Zelgius went on, "How about you start moving, or find someone faster than you. Because once the bomb goes off, it's Game Over for all of us. Our chance at getting the 3rd Dimensional Screen, and so will our chance of getting back home would—"

"Go in flames? Yeah, I know. Fine. You got me. Let me take care of that okay?" He turned to the King and Queen and Prince Cash, "You three pipsqueaks." He said, "Show me where this place is!"

"I know where it is." Prince Cashmere said, "It's me and Cassie's secret tunnel to our secret bedroom, if you know what I mean." Cashmere snorted with amusement. Then his smile vanished when he saw Belgick and King Gabriel glaring at him in horror. Queen Grace just shook her head.

"Ahem! And I won't help you find it." He barked, "even if our lives depends on it!"

King Gabriel and Queen Grace looked on with surprise. Belgick raised his eyebrows.

Bowser narrowed his eyes and crossed his arms, "You want me to bound and gag you all three again, and let the bomb go kaboom on you, destroying this entire world of yours?"

The royals turned back to Bowser, shocked. "Bomb?"

The remaining wounded and panicked guests panicked once more. Cashmere looked back at Bowser, stunned. Bowser's grin widened callously.

"All right fine! You got me. Follow me." Cashmere said, and the duo departed.

Glendor Palace Dungeons

"Fox if we ever get out of here alive I swear I'm gonna kill you." Falco threatened.

"Hey, come on…" Fox said, "It was an honest mistake."

"A mistake?" Falco snapped, "A mistake is when you forget to take out the trash on Trash Day. Or missed a day of pilot engineering seminar. But THIS is way worse. Is that why you took my phone away? And speaking of which, where is my phone?"

Fox paused.

Falco stopped walking and turned to Fox, "Fox?"

Fox grinned nervously.

Falco gasped, "No you didn't."

"Sorry?"

"You flushed my phone into the toilet?!"

"So that you'll never find out!" Fox argued.

"And how did that work out for you?" Falco grunted, "Now I won't be able to accept that Friend request from Catt Monroe on Miiverse and FaceBook."

"Guys, can we focus on finding Jace right now?" Jenn argued.

"I'll help you." Spoke a familiar voice.

The heroes turned around and saw Bowser coming out of the darkness with Wolf's phone. And he wasn't alone. Prince Cashmere was with him.

"I mean I really don't want to, but I don't have a choice, and you don't have one either. So…" Bowser said.

"Prince Cashmere?" Eggsy said.

Cashmere just nodded along in silence.

"Please don't tell me you're working with him." Cassie asked Cashmere.

Cashmere scowled, "Oh hell no. I don't work for him! He works for me!" he then paused, "Except of course in this situation."

"Bowser why do you have Prince Cashmere with you?" Jenn asked, "What are you plotting? A ransom exchange or something?"

The stunned Bowser shook his head. "What…? No."

Mario threateningly approached Bowser, "Give us one good reason why we should trust you in finding Jace."

"When the Prince of England is here?" Maple finished that sentence.

"You want reason? Here." Bowser tossed them Wolf's phone. Samus caught it midflight and saw the live footage of Jace, strapped with the time bomb on his chest, and Ryan and Captain Toad with him.

Jenn, Cassie, and Maple put her hands over their mouths in horror. "Oh my god…"

"They're being held at the catacombs. The very foundation of Glendor." Prince Cashmere said. "If we don't find them in time, we'll be dead."

"We need to split." Snake proposed, "Eggsy, you go with Dr. Mario and company. I'll go with—"

That's when Cassie screamed with sheer terror.

Everyone turned around and saw she was floating in the air, struggling to breathe.

They alertly saw Mewtwo behind her, hand outstretched at her direction. He was telepathically choking her.

"No, Cassie!" Prince Cashmere shouted.

The darkness disappeared like a fog and the gang saw through it Amiir Black. He was next to Mewtwo holding with him the Scroll of Secrets on one hand, and his gun on the other hand.

Snake and Eggsy raised their guns at him also. So did Hunt, Maple, Fox and Falco. Mega Man, Samus and Pit had their own weapons aimed at the villains.

"We'll take it from here now." Amiir spoke, "thank you."

With these words they vanished into the darkness. "No! No let go!" shouted Cassie through the darkness.

"Cassie!" shouted Prince Cashmere as Eggsy ran to the darkness. He then stopped and sighed in defeat. They were gone.

"Damn it!" Eggsy growled then turned to the others. "You guys go on ahead and find those three hostages and disarm the bomb. I'm going after them." He turned to run into the darkness.

"I'm coming with you!" Snake shouted and went after him.

"Again, why did I not kill him when I had the chance?" Falco complained.

"Gee, I don't know Falco." Bowser snarled, "How about ask your conscience?"

"This is not the time to bicker!" Hunt exclaimed, " We have to get rid of that bomb and we have to get rid of that bomb now!"

"But where?" Maple exclaimed.

"Lead us the way, your Highness." Snake asked Cashmere.

"Uhh…" Cashmere muttered nervously, "Oh I think it's this way! Come on!" Cashmere said and the heroes rushed in. But not Bowser, because he noticed something carved on a wall two blocks to his right. It was an arrow pointing right that says catacombs, and ahead there were concrete stairs. He took that direction instead.

Our World

-4:00. 3:59. 3:58. 3:57.

Jace stared at the digits of the atomic bomb on his chest counting down. He didn't know what to do. He was strapped to a metal chair. Ryan was chained up on the ground and got shot in the knee, and Captain Toad got shot in the head, his body not moving...

"Be brave, Takashi." His dad would say to him, "Be brave. Stay brave. Never yield to force. Never yield to the overwhelming might of the enemy."

"All my life's works..." Ryan sobbed all of the sudden. That was the first time, ever, since Jace had seen Ryan Somith sob like a lost child on a busy Brooklyn street alley.

"It's gone..." he sniveled, "I can't... can't go on anymore..." he hissed. Jace wondered if it was the pain of the gun shot wound on his knee, which was losing a lot of blood, or his bruised ego that made the young man hiss and sniffle.

"Ryan." Jace said, "Calm down man. Be brave. Stay with me."

"CALM DOWN?" Ryan screamed, "Calm down? Do you realize how CRAZY this man sounded right now? How crazy he was to you and me and Mushroom boy over here?"

Jace sighed in defeat. "I know crazy when I see one." he felt like saying that out loud. But was there a time to say this out loud?

Ryan sobbed some more at the dead body of Capt Toad, "Ohhh Lordy, Lordy, Lord. May he rest in peace."

Suddenly Capt Toad jumped up awake. Both Jace and Ryan cried out. "Whoa!"

Capt. Toad shook his head and patted his mushroom head. Something was missing.

"Ohhh boy. I have a killer headache." he said. That's when Jace and Ryan finally noticed it. Captain Toad's headgear on his head. Its headlight was broken. The gamers couldn't believe they forgot about that thing!

"Is my headgear okay?" the intrepid Toad asked.

"Captain Toad! You're alive!" Jace joyfully shouted.

"…yeah, my headgear light stopped the gun…" Captain Toad then turned to Jace then let out a shriek of shock. "What the—why is that thing counting down?"

Jace glanced at his chest. "Oh, yeah. Apparently, I'm now a human atomic bomb now."

"Looks like a Game Over Timer..." Captain Toad said.

"If th-that th-thing..." Ryan pointed at the timer, "reaches zero, it's g-g-Game Over...for... All of us!"

Ryan was losing a lot of blood from his knee. They said that shooting people in the knee contribute to a slow painful death. As much as Jace hated Ryan for all the stuffs he did to him and Hunt, he wouldn't wish that on him.

"Hang in there Ryan!" Jace said to him, "We need to get some help!"

"I know how to diffuse a bomb!" Captain Toad sounded hopeful.

"But it explodes by touch!"

"I don't know how to diffuse those bombs." Captain Toad sounded doubtful.

Jace's heart rate was rising faster. Tears of despair blurred his vision. His chest was getting tighter, and that strapped bomb on his chest was not helping. He hasn't been this scared since the Freakish.

"Be brave, Takashi. Be brave. Stay brave."

If ever there was a moment to remember the words of his father-the late Henri Jacen Dimentio-this was it!

He glanced at the timer again.

2:45. 2:44. 2:43...

"Already at 2 minutes?" he whispered.

"It's over." Ryan sniveled. "It's hopeless. Once again the enemy wins. I'd send in my thoughts and prayers tweet to social media if I could but I'm bounded by Amiir's law of insanity to not do that."

"I don't know what tweeting means, but I'd grow a pipe out of nowhere to get us all out." Captain Toad muttered.

Were they all losing hope? Jace couldn't blame them. Ryan's thoughts and prayers sounded like a good idea.

Jace lowered his head and closed his eyes. He tried to imagine God. High up the heavenly realms.

Instead he saw someone who looked like him.

At first Jace thought it was Simon. But when he gazed closely at him, this one was like… a 30-year old mature version of himself. 6'3'', 5 o'clock shadow, bushy eyebrows, glowing cerulean eyes, had the fit of a lean football player, and wore sweatervest and a tie tucked under. What the guy wore that day.

"Jace. What are you doing?" the 30-year old mature version of himself spoke with a booming commanding voice.

Jace's eyes widened and his jaws hit the floor, "Dad?"

Dad hadn't changed once in the past 10 plus years. He still looked young, like before 9/11 young.

Wait… Dad was in Heaven. And people don't age there. So that makes total sense.

"What are you doing here? I mean…" he shook his head, "…what happened to Takashi?"

"Takashi is the boy who don't take bravery to the next level." Dad said, "Jace does. And I know you sport. You remind me of... Well, me! When I was only 15 years old. Now back then I was a coward. A pathetic loser. I didn't know how to take on hard challenges and I would run at the very sight of a worm the size of my finger—hey I could go on!"

"Okay, what are you trying to say, Dad? That I suck? Are you in my situation right now? I'm trying to avenge you! And your criticism is not making it easier!"

Dad sighed, "Avenging me doesn't mean jumping into the Lion's Den without a plan of action! I said be brave and stay brave! Not be stupid and stay stupid!"

Jace bit his lower lip, listening attentively.

"If I were you," Dad went on, "I would do anything, ANYTHING, to get out of this Lion's Den alive, put shame on my enemies, and accomplish my avenging mission. This is your time to shine, Jace! Mio figlio! Get out of this Lion's Den and FIGHT! Be brave, little man! Stay brave!"

Dad suddenly vanished into the clouds of Heaven and Jace's eyes flew open. He looked at the timer on his chest.

0:59. 0:58. 0:57

"Guys! Snap out of it!" Jace shouted, his voice like the roar of his late father.

Ryan and Captain Toad jumped back, startled by the motivated shout.

"We are NOT giving up this fight!" He thrashed around on the chair.

"It's no use." Captain Toad said.

"NO!" Jace shouted, "It is NOT! I will not accept losing my life-losing all of Glendor's lives-to the likes of Amiir Black and his terrorists! This fight is not over!"

"But you're strapped to a-"

"I DON'T CARE!" Jace roared, cutting off Ryan's excuse, "Amiir may think he has all the power in the world, but he doesn't have all the powers in the world. Captain, I need you to open a portal pipe! NOW! Ryan! You're a hacker-techno-guy! Do something about that bomb! We're not going off without a FIGHT!"

Toad and Ryan looked at each other briefly.

0:30. 0:29...

"HURRY!"

Captain Toad and Ryan struggled on their chains and predicament. Captain Toad hopped onto his feet and rubbed his tied-up hands together. A green pipe magically appeared. Ryan managed to pull one arm off his chain.

"Okay." he said, limping close to Jace, "A bomb that activate by touch-screen technology can be disabled if the driver is not up to date, is in error, or I simply hack into its program and remove the line of code that supports the tech. But since we don't have time for that I need to find that driver and remove it."

"Type of driver?"

Ryan studied the bomb. "Synapse-Row. With Backtrack."

"Good with Backtrack?"

"Excellent at it!"

"Hurry!" Captain Toad shouted, "I can't hold off the Green Pipe any longer!"

0:10. 0:09. 0:08...

Ryan pulled out his smartphone and started typing furiously with one hand. One finger. He glanced back and forth at the bomb and his screen.

"Come onnn man..." Jace begged.

"All...most...there..." Ryan gasped.

"Ohhhh..." Captain Toad trembled. The green pipe was shaking.

0:03... 0:02... 0:01...
