Author Announcement timmeee!

So... I've decided I can't focus on more than two things at once. Therefore I'm going to be focusing on this series and my Undertale Series- setting aside Bunker 37 until further notice. There are a few reasons as to why I chose this over Bunker 37. One is that it's farther along. The other is that I'm more inspired by it because there's an actual antagonist rather than them just trying to survive and I feel like its a much more interesting and original AU.

Thanks! And I hope you enjoy this final chapter of Where my Father's Died. Please look forward to seeing the next installment of this story!

Lieutenant Beich made his way down the halls proudly. He had failed his mission, and most everyone already knew that, but he wasn't going to let people look down on him for that. After all, the Winter Soldier had been trained by the greatest. And now those skills that had been passed on to him allowed him to escape the Reich. Or at least, this part of the Reich. He reached Commander Schreiber's office quickly and rapped on the door before entering.

"Heil! Commander Schreiber!" Beich saluted, holding his position. The Commander was sitting in his tall chair facing away from Beich and staring out the window. He didn't respond to Beich right away, and that made the poor Lieutenant rather nervous.

"At ease, Lieutenant." That voice was not Commander Schreiber's and Beich knew that something was wrong, but before he could alert anyone of it, the door swung shut without him even touching it. He jumped. The chair spun around and revealed a young man with long dark hair. He wore a uniform like Commander Schreiber's. His eyes glinted with a little madness. "Commander Schreiber has been placed in a different sector. I am your new commanding officer."

"But…. Sir…. Your accent…?" Beich was confused. It was rare that any commanding officer would be of any descent besides German. Who was this strange man?

"Look, Lieutenant. I've been told…" He gestured to some papers on his desk. "That you failed in your mission to find The Winter Soldier."

"Yes, Sir. Ve searched for him zroughout ze Sector, but ve believe he escaped to anozer." Beich was sweating now. They sent in a new commander to question him about this? He was probably in trouble. Did one of the soldiers tell them that he had been frequenting bars rather than searching for the prisoner?

"Well, Beich." The new Commander sighed. "That is all very good. But you're not telling the exact truth, see? I know the exact truth. I'm not too keen on revealing it, so let's say you and I make a deal."

"A deal, sir?" Beich frowned. Is this a trap?

"A deal. See, I happen to know of something very precious, very beneficial, landing in the Sector outside of California."

"Landed?"

"Yes. A gift really. We'll say… a gift from the Gods. I'm going to give you a new mission and if you succeed we'll forget all about the last."

"Sir!" Beich's eyes widened. This was the chance of a lifetime!

"In what was once called New Mexico you'll find what appears to be the landing site of a meteor. But I think, instead of a meteor you'll find something quite extraordinary. Go there. Guard that thing with your life. I don't want anyone touching it! Do you understand? Set up a perimeter. And…. Finally…. If you see a strange man with long blond hair and an odd accent. Apprehend that man immediately." This is rather a strange mission. Beich frowned, but he wasn't about to argue. If succeeding would help him be forgiven, he was all for it.

"Sir, what exactly is the goal?"

"I want you to find a way to transport that artifact back here to me. I want you to find a way for me to wield it. Once we are able to use it, this Reich will extend even to the far reaches of the galaxy. Are you willing to accept this mission, Beich?"

"Yes sir… But… if you are our new Commander…. What should I call you?"

"It's Kaiser, Beich. Commander Kaiser*."

"I'm sorry. Tell me again. Where exactly did you find this man?" Colonel Coulson frowned.

"She hit him with her car!"

"You tased him!" Jane choked.

"Self Defense!" Darcy gasped.

"Settle down both of you." Dr. Selvig sighed. "Colonel. We don't know where he came from."

"And you've brought him here?!" Coulson was horrified. "Do you know what General Ross is going to say when he finds out about this?! You've brought a strange man into this base. He could be a nazi for all we know!"

"He's not a Nazi." Darcy glared.

"And how would you know that?!" Coulson gasped.

"Darcy has a sixth sense." Jane rolled her eyes. "We don't know! But, I…. I did hit him with my car. Can we at least patch him up and find out why he was out in the middle of the desert. In the middle of a storm!" Coulson put his head in his hands.

"Fine. You have forty-eight hours. But if Ross finds out I can't protect you. That man's insane."

"Thank you! Thank you!" Jane gasped.

"There's been a lot of Nazi activity out in that desert lately. If I find out he's one of them…. You know what needs to be done."

"Yes." Jane nodded. "Of course!"

"And don't let this interfere with your work, Dr. Foster." Coulson frowned. She looked back, nodding once before disappearing down that hallway. Darcy and Selvig followed her.

"I don't know…" Selvig murmured. "There was something odd about that storm. Something almost…. Magical."

"Magic." Darcy laughed. "That would be badass, but there's no such thing as magic."

"Nonsense." Selvig smiled. "Magic is just science we don't understand yet."

"Well, maybe the hunk knows something." Darcy frowned.

"That is unlikely." Selvig chuckled. "He's probably just some insane homeless person… though…. Wouldn't that be something if he did?"

TO BE CONTINUED…

*The German name Kaiser is translated as 'Emperor'

CitrisDragon: I gasped out loud when I checked my email and saw that this had updated. Seriously can't get enough of your work. You write such adorable fluffy romances and such amazing fights. I can't help but be a little jealous. Keep it up!

And yeah. I read Fractured and love it.

Aww! I hope that now that I can focus on just two fanfics I won't feel so overwhelmed and I'll be able to get more done. Awww! Oh my gosh thanks so much! I'm so glad you like them all :D

Still Waters: Victory! The first of many, we hope. Caps speech was perfect. So very him. And of course, I love seeing him and Maria together. Keep it up.

Yes! Captain Hill, alwayyysss. :) Thanks!

Black' Victor Cachat: Appropriate for the Fort, but funny for CaptainHill since they are living in a place named after Steve's former love :-P

Chuckles at Tony assuring Hill that Steve was just delirious

Should be interesting when Fury finally finds out about Natasha. Say with the wedding invitations :-P

Finally see the title reference :-)

As a writer of Brutasha, I feel that Bruce should still be training too. At the very least so he some alternatives to just going Hulk in tough situations

Wedding invitations! lmao Oh my that's perfect. That should be it. Just kidding, but man that would be perfect. "YOU'RE MARRYING WHO?!"

That is true, about Bruce training. I don't know what I was thinking when I wrote that lol. Thanks!

Game-Watch: Well look on the bright side at least he didn't call it "Fort Stark and his less intelligent friends strike back at HYDRA because they're totally awesome".

lol. He would totally do that. Tony's the best. :)
