Disclaimer: I don't own Bakugan
A/N: Sorry for the wait guys, I had a couple of annoying school stuff to deal with. I liked the end result of the chapter and I hope you do too.
The Bakugan Battle Brawlers in:
A Rivalry Settled
In an unknown city that looked like it pierced through the clouds and into the blue sky. A woman was sleeping in one of the tall buildings; this woman was revealed to be Aurea. She was tossing and turning in her large bed as the morning Fabregan sun pierced through her window. As she tossed and turned, her eyes shot open and she was treated to a white area before it turned into a battlefield from Bakugan Interspace.
On the other side was a person that she has definitely seen before. She was shocked to see that this figure was Cameron, but he looked different he looked like he was fused with a dragon as evidenced by his draconian wings and other dragon features. However, her fears were realized when a large figure landed beside him, with the same black and yellow reptilian eyes.
"You see Aurea… I've moved forward, I'm going to fight and I swear… I'll protect the future!" Cameron shot towards Aurea with murderous intent.
Aurea shot out from her bed with a gasp, her heartbeat was racing as she continued to take deep breaths. "No… impossible… That fool has achieved Reversion…" Aurea reached for her glasses on her nightstand and placed them over her eyes. "His willpower and confidence have grown substantially since I last saw him… I hate to say it, but if the Neo Brawlers achieve Reversion, then their power will be on par with mine and the rest of the council." She smirked in anticipation. "However, it is Just Cameron. Not all of them may be able to achieve Reversion. If they all do, then it will be an interesting fight… Who shall come out on top? The dominant Fabregans or the defiant Humans?"
"C-Cameron… is that you? Do you remember me?" Akira asked with a very shaky tone as she looked at Cameron's new appearance.
He slowly turned to her, his yellow glowing irises glaring at her before his face softened and a smirk crept onto his lips with an added chuckle. "Yep… it's me alright!" he quickly remembered that he still had a battle to finish. "Sorry Akira, but we'll have to talk later. Blazeon and I have some unfinished business to do!" his jumped and flew onto Blazeon's shoulder. Akira watched in awe as if flying looked very natural to him.
Helios had a shocked look on his face. "What is this? Did he evolve!?"
"Not quite Helios, this may be something different…" Spectra said. "Normally the partner doesn't evolve with their Bakugan."
Dan looked at Blazeon and Cameron. "This looks like something stronger than evolution; this may be that Reversion power that they were talking about."
Spectra chuckled. "Then what do you say we put it to the test, Dan?"
"You read my mind."
They both looked at their gauntlets and they saw that Blazeon's power had risen by 200Gs.
Drago: 1200 Blazeon: 950
Helios: 1200
"Get ready Drago! Ability Activate, Dragon Trasher!" Drago blasted a beam of reddish white light towards Blazeon. His power increased to 1600.
The beam crashed into Blazeon and made a tremendous black cloud. When is cleared, Blazeon didn't look fazed and neither did Cameron when then the smoke cleared.
"Unbelievable. It's like we didn't even touch him!" Dan exclaimed.
Spectra placed an ability into his gauntlet. "In that case, why don't we try this? Ability Activate! Clamour Quasar!" Helios shot a tremendous dark purple beam of energy that crashed into Blazeon. Once the smoke cleared, both Blazeon and Cameron looked unaffected.
Drago: 1600 Blazeon: 550
Helios: 1600
"Impressive, though there is a big difference in power."
"Our turn!" Cameron said in a slightly deeper voice as he and Blazeon's eyes shone bright yellow. A card materialized in Cameron's hand and he placed it inside his gauntlet. "Reversion Ability Activate! Ignition Blitz!" Both he and Blazeon shot up into the sky while covered in flaring red auras. Blazeon's power grew to 750.
"This will cut you down to size! Ability Activate! Deep Fire – Block A!" the rear pack on Helios's back opened and he shot numerous purple projectile that was speeding to the pair.
"Blazeon scatter!" Cameron said with a commanding tone.
"You got it!" They split and using the power of the Ignition Blitz they both were shooting through the air, performing sharp maneuvers to avoid getting hit by the purple guided projectiles that were following them. Both Cameron and Blazeon were easily able to outspeed them. Red trails were following them.
"Whoa!" Jayden breathed. "My eyes can't keep up with them!" he exclaimed. "Also why is Cameron also fighting?"
"That's the power of Reversion." They all turned to Scorchiree who was resting on Zavanna's shoulder. "Reversion allows the hearts of the Bakugan and their partner to become one, allowing their partner to inherit their Reversion power." He explained as they continued to watch Cameron and Blazeon flying from the chasing energy beams.
"Whoa, look at him go!" Kira cheered.
Luna looked at the battle and a smile formed on her face.
Akira had a similar expression and clasped her hands together. "I know you can do this, Cameron. I believe in you!" As Cameron flew through the air he landed on Drago and he quickly jumped off.
"What's…?" Drago saw Helios's attack closing in and the beams crashed into him, engulfing him in a huge explosion.
Cameron smirked as he flew in the air.
Drago: 1350 Blazeon: 500
Helios: 2100
Blazeon was still avoiding the beams that were struggling to keep up with him. "Blazeon! Block the beams!" Blazeon smirked and he threw his wings in front of his body and the beams exploded on him and there was a large smoke cloud but Blazeon cleared it. There were minor scorch marks on his wings but he shrugged off the pain from the attack.
"It's still not enough!?" Dan exclaimed. "Ability Activate Dragon Astral!" Drago shot a blast of orange energy flames that dispersed into eight smaller balls of energy.
Drago: 1850 Blazeon: 500
Helios: 2100
"Okay, I think I'm starting to get the hang of this power. Let's start fighting back!" Cameron said as he flew in front of him. "I'll stop the attacks and you take him down."
"Sounds like a plan, my man!" Blazeon confidently said.
Cameron placed another card into his gauntlet. "Reversion Ability Activate! Dazzling Wing Slash!" Both Blazeon and Cameron's wings were engulfed in flames and Cameron shot forward first and his hands and wings were covered in flames and he was deflecting the Dragon Astral fireballs with his bare hands and wings while still using the speed boost from Ignition Blitz. Dan and Drago were shocked as Cameron himself managed to deflect their attacks. "GO FOR IT BLAZEON!"
Drago: 1350 Blazeon: 1000
Helios: 2100
He shot forward like a bullet and his hands, feet, and wings were engulfed in orange flames. He was pummeling Drago with all of his appendages, which included the flaming wings. He threw a kick that made Drago grind on the floor.
"How is this possible!?" Helios exclaimed.
"I know," Dan replied. "They aren't even at a higher power level, yet they can take all of our attacks and do more damage to us."
"Surely this Reversion power is spectacular," Spectra said.
Cameron landed on Blazeon's shoulder and looked at his palm while clenching his fingers over and over. "Amazing… this power… It feels as if Blazeon and are finally battling as one, alongside each other… I've… I've never felt anything so amazing in my whole life. But I have to get serious!"
Cameron held up his gauntlet. "Double Ability Activate! Dragon Edge plus Reversion Ability: Fire Spirit!" Both Blazeon was covered in blue flames; Cameron was covered in those flames as he stood on Blazeon. "LET'S FINISH THIS!" Blazeon swooped towards Helios and huge flaming figure of a dragon covered them.
Drago: 1350 Blazeon: 1800
Helios: 1300
"No, we'll stay in this battle!" he exclaimed. "Ability Activate! Battle Warrior!" Helios was covered in a purple glow before silver variants of his armor covered his body.
"We've got to stop this!" Dan exclaimed. "Ability Activate! Dragon Over Cannon!" Drago shot a wide blast that was speeding to Blazeon and Cameron.
Drago: 1350 Blazeon: 1300
Helios: 1700
"I got this buddy!" Cameron exclaimed. He flew ahead of Blazeon towards the blast. "Reversion Ability Activate! Flare Barrier!" Cameron infused the power of the ability into himself and his wings were engulfed in a white fire and he threw his right wing forwards and he collided into Drago's attack instantly stopping it. Blazeon's power increased to 1800. Drago's attack exploded and, Cameron was sent falling down.
Akira saw this and she got extremely worried. "OH NO!" she exclaimed.
As Cameron fell his eyes shot open and he landed on his feet and hands, creating spider-web cracks in the ground. He got up and saw Blazeon crashing into Helios. Right after this, he back-flipped in the air and landed beside Cameron.
"Incredible…" Cera breathed. "I don't think I've ever seen a battle like this before. A battler getting this involved in battle."
"Not just that; look at the kid," Jayden said. Upon closer inspection Cameron was breathing deeply but there was a slight smirk on his face as a small dragon fang stuck out from his mouth. "He's enjoying it…"
Zavanna looked on and grew worried. "Oh, I hope he is okay though…"
"I wouldn't worry!" Aisha said. "It's Cameron remember. If he's enjoying the battle, then things must be going well… right?"
Dan and Spectra gasped. "How long can he keep this up?" Dan exclaimed.
"We just have to keep pushing him!" Spectra said. He held up an ability card. "Ability Activate! Ragnarok Buster!" the green armored plate on his stomach opened and a cannon was charging a purple energy.
"This is it Drago! Ability Activate! Dragon Eternal Force!" his crystal started glowing and his wings rose.
Drago: 2350 Blazeon: 1300
Helios: 2200
Cameron held up his gauntlet. "I'm going to finish this fight with the last two abilities!" Cameron declared sporting a confident smirk.
"You're bluffing!" Dan exclaimed.
"Fair enough, but don't say I didn't warn you." Cameron said as his yellow reptilian irises continued to shine.
Drago fired a dark red, fiery blast of energy towards Blazeon, while Helios shot an all-consuming blast of dark purple energy from the cannon embedded in his torso.
"Alright here we go buddy! Reversion Ability Activate…!"
"…Dazzling Dragon!" Blazeon finished. He and Cameron were engulfed in blue fire and they both fired a large blue fireball from their mouths, the fiery projectiles had a comet-like trail behind it, there was an orange fireball in the middle of the fireballs. The both combined and became bigger before drilling into Drago and Spectra's attacks managing to hold them off. A large explosion consumed the entire field, covering it in black smoke.
Drago: 2000 Blazeon: 1650
Helios: 1950
When the smoke cleared, Both Blazeon and Cameron were high in the air. "Cameron its time." Blazeon said.
"With this last card, we will win the battle." He said landing on top of his head. Cameron placed a Reversion Ability card of a different design into his gauntlet. "Fusion Reversion Ability Activate! Boosted Overdrive!"
After both Blazeon and Cameron screamed the ability, they were both surrounded by raging white fire. Blazon looked down to both Drago and Helios. Blazeon's maw was becoming filled with blinding white fire, he was holding it in to the point that white embers and jets of white fire were leaking from his mouth. Cameron who was surrounded by white flames as well hovered in front of Blazeon's mouth. Blazeon blasted the ball of white flames at Cameron. He became engulfed by it and he was revealed to be inside the fireball increasing its power by adding his own to it. He shot down like a comet and fell towards both Drago and Helios while the flames continued to cover him. He gave out a very loud battle cry as he fell.
"But that's…" Dan started.
"…Impossible, the flames should be killing him!" Spectra noted.
Drago: 1650 Blazeon: 2350
Helios: 1250
The flames briefly shaped themselves into a large, winged dragon before Cameron landed in the space between Helios and Drago. This caused a massive explosion of white flames. Within the blinding white flames, Drago and Helios who were covering their eyes were nothing but lines and they were blown away by the energy.
The bright light spread everywhere and everyone had to cover their eyes. Once the bright light faded… Cameron was on one knee with his fist thrown into the ground. He looked up at Dan and Spectra with a huge smirk as Drago and Helios's ball forms landed beside the two brawlers. Their life gauges dropped to 0%.
"Holy cow!" Dan exclaimed. "How on Earth did you do all of that?"
Blazeon landed on the ground. "How?" Cameron asked. "If Blazeon and I are in the mood, we are unbeatable!" both he and Blazeon unleashed bellowing dragon roars that could be heard from all over Bakugan Valley.
Soon everyone ran over to the battlefield. "That was amazing!" Marucho exclaimed.
"No fair, I want to learn how to do that!" Kaleb cried.
Aisha glared at him. "Ignore him, so tell us. How did it feel back there?" she asked.
"It was awesome, at times it felt like Blazeon and became one person…um or Bakugan… I'm not sure how it would work." Cameron answered.
"Whoa, that sounds… well I'm not sure I can put it into words." Aisha said.
"I'd say 'Ethereal' is the word you're looking for." Cera said. "Though I will say, that was a great display of teamwork, if not reckless at the same time."
Cameron laughed while scratching the back of his head. "But hey it worked right?"
Jayden looked at both Blazeon and Cameron. "Hey, why isn't Blazeon going back to his ball form?"
Cameron put his finger on his chin. "Hmm…I'm not sure, it might have something to do with the Reversion power."
Kira pushed forward and got very close to him. "Well whatever it is, I like it. You look smoking hot!" she exclaimed.
Blazeon groaned and a large sweatdrop was seen on the side of his face.
Dan and Spectra walked over to them. "Congratulations Cameron, Luna. Your battling capabilities were far beyond what I expected."
"Yeah but I still feel like Dragon boy over here stole my thunder." Luna said jabbing her thumb to Cameron.
Kira suddenly had stars in her eyes as an idea formed. "I got it!" she leaned close to Cameron and pulled out Lutherion. "You still own me a rematch, so let's go right now!"
Cameron looked to think about it and made a decision. "Okay!" everyone gasped in shock.
Kira gleefully jumped back. "Alright now let's do this!" Cameron though was quickly covered in a white flash and he had reverted back to his normal self. Blazeon also reverted back to his normal form and he fell to his knees.
"Alright… I'm tired now…" he shone red and shrunk to his ball form. He fell onto Cameron's palm.
"Yeah… maybe I'll take a quick nap too…" Cameron was weaving around before he looked to be falling.
"CAMERON!" the screams came from both Akira and Zavanna. Both girls rushed over to him and they quickly caught him before his body collapsed to the ground. While they hoisted him, both girls looked to each other.
"T-thanks for the help, friend Akira… b-but I believe I can help Cameron from here on out…" she nervously said.
"No! Allow me, I insist!" Akira demanded with a friendly tone.
"I appreciate you trying to help, but I know where his room is…"
"So do I, so let me do this!"
"B-but I want to help him!"
"So do I!"
Cera glared at the two of them and purple flames surrounded her. "Will the two of you shut up and just take him to his room!" she said with a low growl in her voice. Zavanna looked terrified while Akira was more shocked. Regardless, neither of them wanted to face a lecture from Cera much less be on the end of her icy glare so they quickly took Cameron back to the airship. Cera placed her fingers on the bridge of her nose. "Honestly, Cameron needs to just pick one of them already so this can end already."
Garfield approached her. "What are you talking about?" he asked.
Cera turned around and pointed her nose into the air. "Nothing that you would know…"
"Just look up what a harem is." Jayden said in a joking manner, which displeased Aisha as she slapped him on the back of his face. "Ow! Can't anyone take a joke these days?"
Cera looked at everyone including the Brawlers from the other airship. "Well I can safely say that this evening has been very eventful. Though I think I speak for all of us, that we should get some rest for tomorrow."
"But I'm not tired!" Kira exclaimed popping in front of Cera.
"Regardless, we should get as much rest as we can." Scorchiree suggested as he stood on Cera's left shoulder.
Shun silently nodded and Dan looked to agree. "Alright, we'll pick this up tomorrow."
Marucho sighed. "I just wish I could have taken a closer look at Cameron and Blazeon's in their Reversion Forms. I don't think I've ever seen a Bakugan pairing fight like that before. It's definitely something I would have liked to have taken a closer look at."
Cera looked at Marucho. "You'll have all the time to do that tomorrow, but right now, rest is important."
As they all separated Garfield looked at his own hand. Aquafibian noticed this and questioned Garfield. "Hey, is everything alright?"
"H-huh… oh yeah, everything's fine… It's just." He flashed back to how flawlessly Cameron and Blazeon fought while in their Reversion Forms. "I don't know if I could be able to pull of battling like how Cameron did with Blazeon. I mean the both of them were strong before, but now... it's as if they reached an insanely new level! I'm not sure if I'll be able to keep up."
"You will Garfield… Akira let you into the team, so it's clear that she sees something in you."
"I guess but… Cameron can literally pull of anything that he wants. And I couldn't even save Hikari, despite my feelings for her."
"Well you can't quit now!" Aquafibian exclaimed.
"I never said I was going to… And I'm never going to stop trying to save Hikari, and beat the Fabregans. But when it comes to battling them on my own, I still have my doubts… I did lose badly to Akira… but she still let me join…" he looked up into the night sky. "Even if I find her… will I be able to bring her to our side…? Even if I try, will she leave the Fabregans? Will I even be able to make a difference?"
Vesta walked to his side. "Hey, you look deep in thought. Is everything alright?"
"Y-yeah, there's a lot of things on my mind right now…"
"Yeah well don't push yourself too hard alright…"
"It's just, compared to the other Neo Brawlers, I'm obviously the weakest. I mean you saw Cameron, I'm not sure if I'll be able to pull that off."
Vesta comforted him by wrapping her arms around him. "It's going to be okay, I know that you'll find a way."
"What makes you sure?"
"…because you have before. You always have." Vesta exclaimed. "Just keep your head up okay?"
"Okay… I'll do that…" Vesta walked off and left Garfield alone to look at the sky. He saw a shooting star shining across the sky. "I wish that… I could become stronger."
Akira and Zavanna arrived outside of Cameron's room while they carried the slumbering Cameron. "Thank you for the help Zavanna… sorry about my childish behavior."
"N-no… I do not want to overstep myself. So I am sorry." She let go of Cameron, Akira quickly grabbed onto him. "I shall leave you to take care of him." Zavanna walked down the hall leaving Akira alone with the unconscious Cameron.
She opened his automatic sliding door and dragged him over to his bed. After she plopped him on the sheets, he was starting to still into consciousness. "Nnngh…" he saw he was on his bed and looked around. "Hey… how did I…" he let out a yawn before finishing his question. "...Get here?"
"Zavanna and I brought you here. You passed out after you and Blazeon won the battle." Akira replied. Cameron got up to his feet and faced Akira.
"Oh right… hey, where is Blazeon?" Akira silently handed Blazeon back to Cameron.
"You dropped him when we took you here." Akira answered handing Blazeon back to Cameron
"Oh r-right." Cameron said. He took Blazeon's closed ball form. Akira closed in and started to closely examine Cameron which caused the boy's cheeks to heat up. "U-uh… Akira?"
"Shame… I liked your thick eyebrows…" Akira said in a bored looking expression, making comparisons to his Reversion form.
"Oh, r-really?"
"Yes… but I prefer your real eyes. Those dragon ones looked a bit too menacing."
"S-so y-you like my eyes?"
Akira nodded. "Yes of course." This gave Akira the excuse to stare into his eyes and Cameron found himself staring back into her. They both smiled at each other.
"Hey… thanks Akira."
"What are you thanking me for?"
"Isn't it obvious…? Blazeon and I were able to reach Reversion thanks to you." Akira became flustered as soon as Cameron said that. Suddenly her chest started to slightly hurt, though she couldn't explain why. This always seemed to happen when she was around Cameron. While Radion had her crazy, love related theories. Akira chose to disregard them. "It's because of what you said that I was able to push through and become stronger!"
The Ventus brawler shook her head. "No… that wasn't it. I don't deserve so much credit… after all, you found your own strength. I only guided you to it." She said.
"Well thanks, I've never felt so alive before…" he said.
Akira became bashful all of a sudden before she suddenly grabbed both of Cameron's hands. He looked down and was slightly confused and flustered. "Cameron… I know I don't say this enough, but you need to know that you… You mean a lot to me."
Cameron's blush grew across his face and he awkwardly chuckled. Akira had no idea what she was doing, but it was something that her heart was screaming out for her to do. After seeing Cameron so happy and confident, she was realizing the feelings she hid from him, everyone else, and even herself. She wanted him to know them. It was Cameron's confidence that was driving her forward to do this and she knew it was now or never.
"Cameron… I-I have something really important to tell you." She started, still not letting go of his hands.
"Okay Akira, what is it?" Cameron asked with anticipation. His heart looked ready to explode in anticipation… he had no idea what Akira was telling him, but he had an idea what it was… rather he was hoping…
"I-I don't know how else to say this but…" she started to inch closer to him. "Cameron… I-I…" the door suddenly slammed open and Jayden walked in.
"Hey Akira, you in here? Cera been looking for you and…" he saw the scene in front of him and his mouth formed an awkward: "Oh…uh…" Akira quickly let go of Cameron's hands and quickly placed her arms behind her back. Her emerald eyes were glaring at Jayden, as if she wanted to burn a hole into his skull. "I'll wait outside." He closed the door leaving the two alone.
Akira had her fists clenched in anger. Cameron saw this and lightly grabbed her arm. "Hey, are you okay?"
Akira took a very deep breath and she forced a smile when looking back at Cameron, her previous bravery had all but melted away. "Don't worry about me… I'll be fine. I'm just going to talk to Jayden and see what Cera wants."
"Okay." He was about to let Akira leave but he had something important to ask her. "W-wait!" Akira stopped by the door frame, waiting to hear what he wanted to say. "That stuff you said about me being important to you... Did you really mean that?"
Akira glanced back at Cameron. "Every. Single. Word…" Cameron smiled after hearing that. "Goodnight Cameron."
Cameron let out a toothy smile. "Night Akira…"
Once she was outside the room, she punched Jayden in the stomach and clutched his stomach and fell to one knee.
"O-ow! What did you do that for!?"
"Nothing…" she replied with her arms tightly folded. She sighed afterwards, she instantly regretted punching Jayden. "S-sorry let me help you up."
"So did you tell him?"
"Tell him what?"
"Never mind."
Jayden and Akira arrived in a room that had a huge monitor and there were screens that showed the many different moments of Blazeon and Cameron in their Reversion Forms. "So why had you called me here?" Akira asked as Jayden left.
Cera turned her chair to face Akira. She placed her clasped hands on her white desk. "I just wanted to let you know that we are going to be battling against Shun and Fabia tomorrow. So you should prepare for that."
"Is that all you called me in for? You could have told me this in the morning." Akira said in an annoyed tone while folding her arms.
"I'm sorry, were you busy with something?" she asked with a slightly harsh tone.
"...I was, not that it's any of your business!" she replied while turning away.
"I also wanted to talk to you about Garfield."
"What about him?"
"I don't like him to be honest with you, he seems spineless, he can battle sure, but he's not really up there. Cameron is impulsive and intense, Jayden is calm and calculating, Aisha is creative and hardworking. I bring intelligence and strategy while you have skills and all of the above traits I mentioned. But Garfield is just average, sure he can win these fights but I don't think he can do what he can when it really matters."
"There is one thing Garfield has: Potential."
"Yes, but if you consider what we may be up against, 'potential' isn't good enough."
Akira glared at Cera; she didn't understand the pain that Garfield was going through. She wasn't going to let her talk him down. "Nothing is ever good enough for you huh?"
"What was that?" Cera asked facing Akira with a glare.
Radion opened on Akira's shoulder. "Uh Akira, are you sure you want to do this?"
"I get it; you're the top ranked Brawler so you only want to team up with the best! But you don't know what Garfield has been through, none of us know what he's been through, but I saw it in his eyes. When he finally finds his strength, he's going to-"
"We don't have the time for him to find his strength."
"What would you know? I don't even think you've fought one of the Fabregans before! Your nothing but a pampered rich girl, you think you're better than everyone just because of your parents' money! You've never had to struggle before, people like you always start at the top and look down at those below you!"
Cera clenched her fists, and grit her teeth from behind your closed mouth. "Get out…" she angrily breathed.
"Excuse me, but you called me here."
Cera stood up from her chair and slammed her palms on her table. "I said LEAVE!"
"Fine… but if we're going to fight together… You better not get in my way!"
"Then neither should you." Cera darkly replied.
Akira left the room and closed the door. Cera took a deep breath and sat on the spinning chair. "You're thinking about your parents aren't you?" Lunaris asked.
"She doesn't understand… they all don't understand…"
"That's why I am always critical of your allies, this situation seems serious and they don't seem to be taking it seriously. Sure Cameron and Blazeon are powerful, but they both lack maturity."
"I see… Lunaris… lets go out there and do our best tomorrow."
"Cera… I always will…"
...
Akira was angrily walking down the hall. "That brat, this is so typical of her, she always thinks that she's better than everyone else!"
Radion opened in front of her human partner. "Calm down Akira, it won't do you any good if you just get angry at her."
"Sorry… it's just… She's… she just knows how to push my buttons…"
"Yeah, and Lunaris isn't very pleasant either, but we have to work together, the Fabregans are going to be very tough to beat and we'll need everyone in the team to be at their best…"
"Yes I understand, but… I can't work with someone like her. I would prefer is we battled against Cera, finally give that rich girl what's coming to her."
The next morning inside the airship, Cameron, Aisha and Jayden were sitting in the huge kitchen/living room. They watched as Samantha was cooking their breakfast. "Are you sure, you're okay with cooking for us?" Aisha asked.
"Hey… I'm not complaining…" Jayden said.
"It is okay." Samantha clarified. "You are good friends with Cera, so I shall repay you and serve you as I would Cera."
Cameron though was unusually silent, "Hey Cameron, you okay?" Aisha asked.
"I'm alright… it's just…" Cameron slammed his head on the table and continued with a muffled voice. "…I'M HURT EVERYWHERE!" he cried. "I only felt the pain this morning…" he moaned.
"Speak for yourself." Blazeon said. "I feel amazing." He was dancing in his ball form in front of Cameron.
"You're mocking me aren't you…?" He asked in a deep voice and he was glaring at him while his chin lay on the desk.
"Well it's your own fault; you were the one who decided to be used as a fiery bullet." Aisha said.
"Not you too…" Cameron cried and he had wavy tears comically falling down his face like a waterfall.
"Though that last ability was pretty cool I have to admit…."
"I'm thinking it is the effect of Reversion," Jayden began. "Right after you two returned to normal, you both quickly dropped. So I'm thinking that this Reversion thing will take energy from both the brawler and the Bakugan…"
They all saw Cera and Akira walking into the room from two separate halls and they arrived at the table at the exact same time. "So it appears we have arrived at the same time." Cera mentioned.
"Unfortunately… though it's weird, I though you rich people were all about punctuality…" Akira mocked.
"You're still on that rich girl shtick?" Cera angrily asked. "Perhaps you should, act less like a coward before you go around mocking me."
"What is that supposed to mean?"
Cera pointed to Cameron. "Exhibit A: You don't have the guts to tell Cameron-" Akira instantly covered her mouth.
"You don't know what you're talking about!" Akira exclaimed. "Don't bring Cameron into this; he has nothing to do with this."
"D-did someone say my name?" Cameron weakly asked raising his head.
"Oho ho… you're fairly defensive of him." Cera said with a mocking smile. She suddenly moved over to him and put her arm around him. "Maybe I should take him for myself since you're not going to do anything, what do you think Cameron?"
Cameron's face turned red. While Aisha was confused and Jayden let out a small chuckle, "W-what's going on…?" Cameron asked
Akira slammed her hand on the table. "THAT'S ENOUGH!" she screamed. "Forget the training battle we were going to have, because there is no way I'm working together with you!"
Cera smirked. "Ha, at least now we can finally agree on something."
"Uh… how long will you have your arm around me?" Cameron asked, Jayden laughed but only for a moment because Aisha flicked him on his ear forcing him to let out a pained scream.
"Ow! Oh come on Aisha!" Jayden cried.
"That is why I propose we fight against each other! We settle this once and for all!" Akira said.
"Of course… but let's raise the stakes!" Cera suggested. She stood up and faced Akira's glare. "The winner becomes the leader of the Neo Brawlers!"
Cameron and Aisha gasped. Jayden stood up. "Whoa, whoa girls, let's not do something we'll regret here…"
"STAY OUT OF THIS!" they both roared. Jayden silently took his seat in response.
Akira looked at Cera and thought of her suggestion. "Sounds good, but let's take it one step further…"
"Oh I don't like where this is going…" Radion said.
"That just shows your cowardice, Radion." Lunaris mocked.
"What did you have in mind?" Cera asked.
"The loser leaves the team, permanently!" the entire room was silent and all that could be heard was the sound of Samantha's cooking.
"D-don't do it, Cera!" Radion exclaimed. "Both of you, this is stupid! We need the strength of both of you right now. Let's build bridges, not walls!"
Cera extended her hand. "Deal!" she said in a firm tone. Akira met her hand and both girls shook hands firmly.
The rest of the team could not believe this was happening… sure Akira and Cera didn't like each other, but they never thought it was this bad.
"Wait… You're both seriously doing this?" Aisha asked. "You can't do this! We need the both of you."
"No!" Aisha exclaimed. "This has been coming for a long time. The two of us are never going to get along, so one of us should just leave, and the battle will decide who!"
"Can't you two work it out?" Cameron asked. Akira looked at his pleading face, this wager she just made was extreme and the resulting battle will break the team up, however she could not stand Cera any longer.
"Sorry Cameron, but it's come to this." Cera said.
Cameron looked down, he could change the very outcome of a one-sided battle but he couldn't stop his team-mates from fighting. He honestly felt powerless to stop them.
"We'll do this in an hour!" Akira declared.
"Fine, it goes without saying, but don't make it too easy for me." Cera said with a confident smirk, she also gave a smug wink as she left the kitchen. Akira gave a huff and walked away in the opposite direction.
"What do we do?" Aisha asked.
"What can we do, those two hate each other's guts. I doubt we can get them to get along now." Jayden said.
Cameron stood up. "We can't let this happen!" but he felt Samantha place her hand on her shoulder.
"No, we should let them. Do as they please. I know it doesn't sound like a solution, but we should give them a chance to see their mistake without us having to point it out to them." She said placing their plates of bacon, eggs and toast in front of them. "Let's let them blow off some steam, then afterwards we can try and reason with them. But right now, it will be difficult to get them to see reason."
Zavanna walked into the room. "Greetings everyone, there is this greasy yet pleasant aroma that has filled my nostrils." She saw Cameron's, Aisha's and Jayden's dejected faces. "Oh, did something happen?" she worriedly asked.
"Don't worry Miss," Samantha said. "It will all work out, would you like some breakfast?"
An hour later, the two girls were on top of high terrain of Bakugan Valley. They were already separated by several feet. They were both glaring at each other. Radion stood on Akira's hand. "I get it that you two have some rivalry going on, but do you really have to take it this far?" she asked.
"Radion, she's left me no choice…"
"You could choose to walk away, just talk about your problems. It's better than doing all this, honestly, this is crazy."
"Does this mean you won't fight in this battle?" Akira said glancing at the landscape.
Radion sighed. "I don't like this crazy idea, but what kind of friend would that make me if I just abandoned you?"
"I appreciate it Radion."
"Don't thank me yet, because if we lose then that's it. And I'm not going to let that happen."
Meanwhile Cera was looking at Akira and her long hair was blowing in the wind. "So this is it. We're finally going to settle this." Cera said.
"Are you nervous Cera?" Lunaris asked.
"I would be lying if I said that I wasn't slightly weary. Radion and Akira are going to be very tough to beat… That and we can't lose, not with what's at stake."
"Of course, so that is why I promise to win this battle. Defeat is not an option!"
Both Cera and Akira turned to each other; the wind was blowing everywhere past Akira and into Cera's face.
"Let us hope that this will be the last time we have to battle." Cera said.
"Agreed." Akira replied in a low tone.
They both placed their gauntlets on their arms.
…
Meanwhile Cameron, Aisha and Jayden were looking for the both of them. Since then they split up to look for them. Jayden was searching down in the caves and he had a flashlight in his hand. "Akira, Cera. You two in here?" Jayden called but he got no response, he tripped over a stalagmite on the ground and he fell to his stomach. "I swear if we don't stop them from battling…"
"Yeah, I'm hoping that they'll come to their senses and just call it off." Velocirex said.
Jayden chuckled. "Yeah… knowing those two… that's not going to happen."
…
Aisha was walking by herself on the ground sections of Bakugan Valley. "Those two have to be around here somewhere."
"Are you sure we can't just take the suggestion that was left by Cera's maid?" Bearth asked.
"Yes, but that would mean that the team would be broken up. Right now, we can't afford for either one of them to leave… Why do they have to be so selfish!?" she exclaimed.
"I'm not sure you can call them selfish for this." Bearth said.
"Listen, sure everyone has their differences but to take it this far is just… You remember what happened with me and Jayden. If Jayden had given up on me, then I'd probably still be with the Fabregans by now. And that is why we can't give up on them. I refuse to just stand by and let this happen!" she her pace sped up to a run. "Akira, Cera! Come out! We can talk about this!" she yelled from the top of her voice.
…
Cameron was looking around on the higher terrain. "Are you doing alright, buddy?" Blazeon asked.
"Well yeah… I mean I'm still kinda hurt but I'm alright. Still though, I can't believe this is really happening."
"Those two were always butting heads, it doesn't surprise me that it has come to this, though I wish it hadn't gone this far."
"Yeah… but why do I feel that I can't stop them no matter what I say."
"Those two are incredibly stubborn, so don't feel too bad." Blazeon turned and he jumped for a second. "Over there!" he exclaimed.
Cameron turned and he saw both Akira and Cera standing apart from each other as their battle was about to start. "AKIRA, CERA!" he exclaimed. Even though he called out their names they both never took their focus off each other. "NO DON'T!" Time was starting to slow down and Cameron was trying to get close to them and time was slowing down around him as he got within range of the developing battlefield.
Time outside the large battlefield space had stopped and all could do is try to convince them to stop. "Akira, Cera… you don't have to do this…" they both ignored him and Akira took out a gate card.
"Gate card set!" Akira threw a gate card onto the field and a green rectangular shockwave spread around the area.
Cameron figured that they were ignoring him so he took to more drastic action. He grabbed Akira's wrist before she could throw in Radion. "STOP!" soon Akira was struggling to get Cameron's grip off her.
"Let go of me!" Akira exclaimed. She drove an elbow into Cameron's stomach and this made him fall to the ground. "This is between me and her. So please don't get in my way…" Akira tightly gripped Radion. "Bakugan Brawl! Radion Stand!" Radion's ball form stood after Akira threw her in.
Radion flew up into the air and she showed a lot less enthusiasm than usual. She had a neutral expression one her face. "Okay, let's make this quick."
Cera twirled before she threw in Lunaris. "Bakugan Brawl! Lunaris Stand!"After she stood, sparkles fell off Lunaris's wings as she hovered up to cover the sun. "Make sure to enjoy this Radion, for this may be our very last battle."
"Hard to do that considering what's at stake." She replied. "Never-the-less, I'll do my best if that means making Akira happy! I'm not messing around, not this time!"
Radion: 700 Lunaris: 750
Cameron looked at the Bakugan in awe and Blazeon opened on his shoulder. "Hey Cameron, aren't you going to do something?"
"It's like Miss Samantha said, we should let them blow off some steam. I don't like it, and battling against them would only make it worse."
Cera was the first to initiate an attack. "Ability Activate! Meteor Scales!" the shining scales of her butterfly wings floated off and they then shot towards Radion.
"Quickly Radion!" Akira exclaimed as an ability card was already in her gauntlet. "Tempest Shard!" Radion's arm was surrounded by a green energy and she shot sharp shards of green blades that were crashing into some of the scales but the smaller scales snuck past and Radion was struck by them and hit the ground. Lunaris comfortably flew around Radion's energy shards.
Radion: 100 Lunaris: 450
"Come on Radion; don't make this too easy for me!" Lunaris smugly said. Radion punched the ground as she rose. Akira jumped onto Radion's shoulder.
Radion was glaring as she was growling at Lunaris. "Radion, Ability Activate! Zephyr Dance!" The gemstone on her belly shone blue and she shot up into the air and surprised both Cera and Lunaris with her speed. She was throwing relentless punches at Lunaris while screaming out loud.
"I told you! I'M NOT PLAYING AROUND!" she threw a final kick to Lunaris's gut and Radion shot higher into the air and she drove her foot to Lunaris's back and she fell down the chasm and below the mountainous terrain.
Radion: 500 Lunaris: 450
…
Aisha was walking across the bottom of the chasm. "Cera! Akira! Seriously where are those two?" Suddenly she heard a blow in the sky and saw a purple glint. Suddenly she saw Lunaris falling down to her. Aisha quickly ran back with a scream as the Darkus Bakugan crashed into ground.
"What's going on!?" Bearth asked.
"Lunaris, what are you doing down here?" Aisha asked.
"Shut your mouth child! I am in the middle of a battle!" Lunaris slowly rose and she flew back up through the chasm. As she got to the top, Cera jumped onto her and was hanging onto her shoulder as well.
"Radion, we can't let them slow us down." She held up her gauntlet. "Ability Activate! Tempest Weave!" a green energy sphere was charging in between her hands and she shot a huge blast of green energy that sped to Lunaris.
Radion: 700 Lunaris: 250
Cera had a confident smirk. "Don't worry Lunaris." She calmly said. "Ability Activate! Solar Wall!" a curtain of light appeared in front of Lunaris and it easily managed to block the beam that Radion fired. Akira glared at her as she saw Lunaris's power level increased to 850. "But wait, that's just a taste of what I have in store for you. "Ability Activate, Petrifying Gaze!" the eyes of Lunaris's wings blinked before they fully opened and dark blue beams shot from them. They both hit Radion and she was surrounded by a dark blue fading orb. Radion was surrounded by a dark blue outline. Cera gave a slight giggle. "And now you can't activate any of your abilities." Akira gave a slight gasp as she took a look at the power levels.
Radion: 500 Lunaris: 850
"You think you're calm and collected. You're just someone who just happens to be good. You've got no substance; you're just the self-proclaimed leader of this team. Why is that? I'm sure Cameron would do a better job leading this team."
"Hey, leave Akira alone you jerk!" Radion exclaimed.
"You be quiet!" Lunaris exclaimed. "Honestly I can't believe a battler such as Akira would partner herself with such an immature child like you!"
"Don't talk to her like that!" Akira exclaimed. "You don't know what she's been through!"
"You don't know what I've been through!" Cera retorted.
"Not everything is about you. You think you're above everyone because of your rich lifestyle? You're even a model! You have everything you could possibly want, so why must you be so bitter to everyone!?"
Cera looked down with a sad expression. "Not everything…"
"Oh right, you don't get enough attention, my mistake. If you want attention, then go cry to your rich parents, I'm sure they'll give you the attention you so crave!"
Cera's eyes grew and her ponytail was wildly blowing in the wind. The confident smile she previously had, quickly disappeared into oblivion… She always craved attention and it was the kind that only a pair of loving parents could give… there was just one problem. They were gone from her life and they were never coming back, ever. "That's you're problem…" Cera started. "If you really knew me, you'd know why talking about my parents hurts me so…" she seethed with an angry whisper.
"Double Ability Activate! Darkening Arrow plus Paralysis Counter!" Lunaris formed a plasma bow and as she pulled back on the string which allowed a plasma arrow to form, behind her, a purple see-though clock with no numbers appeared behind her.
"You shall pay for your hurtful words, child!" Lunaris growled. When releasing the string after she pulled back, the clock disappeared as the launched arrow flew through Radion's stomach which resulted in her screaming in pain. Above the wound appeared the number two in an ominous purple glow.
Radion: 250 Lunaris: 1100
Akira pulled and placed it in her gauntlet. "You're going to regret doing that! Double Ability Activate! Nimbus Wings plus Tempest Weave!" Radion's wings were covered in rainbow flames and her body was covered in bright green energy from Tempest Weave.
"I'm coming for you Lunaris!" Radion shot through the air towards Lunaris.
Radion: 800 Lunaris: 700
The number on Radion's belly immediately counted down to Zero and Radion abruptly stopped in the air and all the energy she had gained disappeared. She and Akira's eyes grew in shock. "W-what happened…?" Akira asked.
She looked at Cera, whose eyes were covered by her bangs. "The Paralysis Counter Fusion Ability, it places a counter on the opposing Bakugan. When the counter hits zero, all the abilities activated during the count will instantly fail, and all the power gained and additional effects will fade away as well." As she said this, she saw Radion's power dropping back to 250Gs, but even more horrifying, she saw Lunaris's power rise back up to 1100.
Akira panicked and she thrust her arm forward. "Uh… Gate Card open! Libra Judgement!" the command card shone brightly as energy started to leave Lunaris's body in the form of dark purple energy.
"W-what's going on?"
"The command card Libra Judgement drops the opposing Bakugan down to the same power level as mine."
Cera looked at her gauntlet and was mortified at what she saw.
Radion: 250 Lunaris: 250
Cera who was still in shock failed to see Radion speeding to both her and Lunaris. "Cera!" Lunaris screamed.
"I'M ENDING THIS NOW! Double Ability Activate! Zephyr Dance, plus Fusion Ability: Dancing Firestorm!" Radion's naval gemstone shone blue as she got even closer to Lunaris. Suddenly it changed to yellow and raging green fire was surrounding her.
"IT'S OVER LUNARIS!" Radion bellowed.
Radion: 1200 Lunaris: 250
Cera's amber eyes grew in shock as she watched Radion and Akira getting closer to her and Lunaris. "NO! Not like this! Reversion Ability Activate! Moon Reversal!" the colours turned negative for a second before a red, see-though clock pulsed from behind Lunaris. Once time had stopped completely, events replayed themselves, all the way back to before Akira activated Libra Judgement.
Once time was brought back to this event, it then resumed as normal and Akira had just opened her command card. "…Libra Judgement!" she looked down and saw that her command card wasn't opening and she gasped. "No! You didn't...!"
Cera was panting as her gauntlet had the Reversion Ability inside it, and it was emitting a rainbow shine. "Yes… I did… If I didn't, you would have beaten me…"
Akira looked to her gauntlet and saw that because her gate card didn't open, Radion was still far behind in power when compared to Lunaris.
Radion: 250 Lunaris: 1100
Lunaris's wings started to shine and she glared at Radion. "You're not the only one who isn't playing around. I will do whatever is necessary, in order to achieve Cera's wishes!" her wings shot purple energy orbs that crashed into Radion, causing her and Akira to crash into the ground level of Bakugan Valley.
Radion lay on her back with Akira next to her covered in dirt, dust and her clothes were slightly ripped. Radion shrunk to her ball form and her partner's life gauge fell to 15%. Lunaris landed on the other side of the large valley and she shrunk to her ball form and was caught by Cera.
"Are you ready to accept defeat?" Cera asked.
Akira's hand clenched and it picked up some of the dirt on the ground. Cera was shocked when she saw Akira get up despite her physical state. She even held her arm as it looked like there was a cut going across her forearm.
"Hey, are you…?"
"I'm fine!" Akira said with a stern tone. "And I'm not going to give up! Not to you, and not to anyone! This pain is nothing, compared to failing myself!" she screamed.
Cera slightly stepped back after hearing her words but then she clenched her fist. "Persistent aren't we? Fine, if you want to let me finish you! I'll be more than happy to oblige!" As she said this, Cera threw the gate card which spread across the bottom of the valley. "Bakugan Brawl! Lunaris Stand!" Lunaris flew up once again to cover the sun, casting a huge shadow over Akira and the sun shone through her wings, making a beautiful display of colours to hit the ground.
Akira stood up straight and she shook her head. "Radion, I-"
"You don't have to ask, Akira. I'm with you all the way." She said in a serious tone.
"Thank you." Radion closed her ball form and fell into Akira's palm. "Bakugan Brawl! Radion Stand!" Radion stood on the ground with her arms folded. She sent a serious glare at Lunaris's direction.
Lunaris: 750 Radion: 700
"I don't plan on battling forever, so I'm going to end this quickly! Ability Activate, Darkening Arrow." The same plasma bow appeared and she shot a fast purple, arrow made of plasma towards Radion. Lunaris rose to 1000 while Radion fell to 450
Akira placed a card into her gauntlet right after the arrow was fired. "Ability Activate! Angelic Enforcement!" a bright green energy sphere covered Radion and the plasma arrow shattered after hitting it. After that she quickly piled on the pressure after seeing Radion's power rise to 750. "Next, Tempest Weave!" after the centre of the card shone a bright green glow, Radion flew up into the air and she formed an energy sphere in between her hands and she blasted it towards Lunaris who didn't have time to dodge. After she was hit she was covered in black smoke as she started to hover closer to the ground.
Lunaris: 800 Radion: 950
"Feisty one, then I'll just shut you down! Ability Activate! Petrifying Gaze!" Lunaris's wings spread out and the pair of eyes opened and they each fired a very dark purple beam from the pair of them
Lunaris: 800 Radion: 750
Akira glared at Cera and she held up her gauntlet. "Not this time! Ability Activate! Angel Accelerator!" Radion was engulfed by a bright green aura and she flew from the two beams using her increased speed. The power levels changed again and Lunaris was brought down to 700 while Radion was brought up to 850.
Cera quickly placed her ability into her gauntlet. "I've already beaten you once already, so just give up! Ability Activate! Meteor Scales!" small scales shed off her wings and hovered around her forming a sphere of floating scales with her inside. She violently flapped her wings forward which forced the scales towards Radion.
Lunaris: 800 Radion: 150
"Radion, cut right through! Ability Activate! Nimbus Wings!" Radion's wings were engulfed in rainbow flames and while still powered by Angel Accelerator she flew right into the path of Lunaris's attack.
The Rainbow flames were producing a flaring aura that ignited the scales and caused them to explode as soon as Radion flew right past them.
Lunaris: 600 Radion: 550
"It's not enough!" Cera said with a smirk as Radion slammed into Lunaris's crossed arms with her right wing. She was forced back and hovered a distance away. "How does it feel to be as weak and powerless as you truly are?"
Akira growled. "You entitled wench! Ability Activate! Needle Fury!"
"You've had this coming you condescending witch!" Radion venomously said while she held purple poison needles in between the fingers of both her hands. She flung them to Lunaris and they pierced her skin as they sunk in. She was covered in a purple aura for a second as she landed on her feet before falling to her knees.
"Ugh… not this attack…" Lunaris said as her power level was cut in half and was down to 300.
Cera glared at Akira. "Fine, you've forced my hand! Gate Card Open! Full Moon – Haos!" the card shone and soon after it did. Lunaris's purple and black primary and accent colours became white and yellow.
"I figured you would play that card soon." Akira said with a growl.
"Ability Activate! Healing Gaze!" after the Haos card let out a bright yellow glow. The eyes on Lunaris's wings glowed green; she was surrounded in a green soothing aura that was healing her wounds.
Lunaris: 700 Radion: 550
Akira growled. "You're kidding me! I'm getting tired of this! Ability Activate! Zephyr Dance!" Radion flew to Lunaris while her naval gemstone was engulfed in a bright blue glow. Radion performed a battle cry as she continued to get closer to her target.
Lunaris: 700 Radion: 950
"It's funny that you think you have a chance, but I'll crush that resistance right now!" Cera exclaimed. "Ability Activate! Solar Wall!" a curtain of light appeared in front of Lunaris as her wings emitted a multitude of colours while summoning it. Just like in the last battle, Radion crashed into the wall, rendering her attack useless as it died out.
Lunaris: 1300 Radion: 950
"You're very easy to read, Akira. I memorized your abilities and had ways to counter their damage and effects. Even without Lunaris's Reversion Ability, I can beat you just as easily! And that is your biggest problem."
"W-what are you talking about?" Akira asked, her voice beginning to falter.
"You take everyone around you for granted. You're so over-confident that you think you can beat anyone who stands in your way. That's why you've put yourself as the leader of this team. But really, you're just weak inside and it's showing now!"
"S-shut up!" Akira exclaimed.
"You get angry and frustrated at anyone who challenges you! Like me and Zavanna for example; you don't like me because I can challenge you, and you don't like Zavanna because she has also got the attention of Cameron."
Akira was taking all this in and she could only tightly clutch her shirt as Cera continued. "Stop it! N-no, you're wrong!"
"Am I? You need someone to be under you, someone to be proud of you and give you that pat on the back when you do something good, and Cameron fits both of those roles. Tell me I'm wrong!"
"No, stop this! You don't know me!"
"I know more than you think. I heard of your sister's disappearance. You're trying to emulate her success. But it will never be enough!"
Radion quickly knew where this was going. "NO! DON'T YOU DARE SAY IT!" she yelled.
"You'll never come close to being the same as Akane Haruna!"
Akira's eyes grew and a tear shed from her left eye. All of what Cera said, it hit home, her reliance on others and the hole in her heart that her sister left. She already knows that she'll never be the same as Akane, even though she has Radion. But she knew that Radion was a strong Bakugan that Akane was best friends with. With all that Cera stated, she would never have that with Radion… simply because, she was not Akane Haruna.
Akira had tears streaming down both sides of her face. "You… how could you!?" Akira screamed. "My sister left a huge hole in my heart! YOU'D NEVER UNDERSTAND HOW THAT FEELS!" she cried.
"BOO HOO! CRY ME A RIVER!" Cera angrily cried as tears fell down her face as well. "You're not the only one who's lost someone that you loved!"
"JUST SHUT UP! I'm sick of listening to you! Stop talking as if you know me!" Akira said violently swiping her arm through the air.
"Pot calling the kettle black don't you think? She's just a sister, get over it!"
"J-Just a sister…?" Akira repeated.
"That does it, you just crossed a line!" Radion angrily said.
"I should have ended this sooner, but I'll do that now!" Cera exclaimed. "Ability Activate! Lightwing Arrow!" she summoned a plasma bow made out of bright yellow energy. She pulled on the bow and an arrow appeared, she quickly fired it and it was speeding to Radion.
Lunaris: 1550 Radion: 700
Akira had two cards in her hand. Without saying anything else she placed them in her gauntlet. "I was fine with just beating you… but you had to go and make it personal! I will make sure that you be facing the dirt after this! Double Ability Activate! Fusion Ability: Dancing Firestorm plus Reversion Ability: Tempest Edge!" Radion extended her wings and they became longer and they became crystalized. She shot forward and she was engulfed in green flames and her naval gem became orange. She sped to the arrow and made it hit her right wing and it absorbed the Haos energy. The green flames engulfed her entire body and she was speeding to Lunaris.
Cera realized she hadn't anticipated for the Reversion Ability and she couldn't do anything. "Lunaris! You need to dodge!" but Radion was quick and slashed her right wing right through Lunaris, making her scream out after the attack.
Lunaris: 1150 Radion: 1650
The crystals on Radion's wings shattered, as her wings returned to normal and she was on one knee. While she panted, Lunaris fell to the ground and as she did, she created a dust cloud full of rocks and debris that sped past Cera as she shielded herself from the dust getting into her eyes. Lunaris was engulfed in a dark purple glow and rolled next to Cera, whose dress was slightly ripped. And her magenta vest also had some rips as well. There was a single scratch on her right cheek and the band keeping her hair in a ponytail snapped letting her raven hair flow freely. She lightly picked up Lunaris as her life gauge fell to 50%.
Radion was engulfed in a bright green glow before shrinking back to her ball form and shooting back to Akira's palm.
Soon after both girls were glaring at each other, not exchanging any words between them… Radion hovered up to Akira's face. "Akira…" She silently nodded and grabbed her.
"I'm going to make sure to beat her!"
Cera grabbed Lunaris while not taking her sight off Akira. "This will be our very last battle! And I'll make sure to savor her defeat!"
"I am with you all the way, Cera!" Lunaris said in a serious fashion.
Both girls had their Bakugan in their hands as they prepared for the final battle.
Before they could start, footsteps were heard and Cameron, Jayden and Aisha appeared and saw the girls' battered and bruised bodies. "Wow, what have those two done?"
"We can't let this go on!" Aisha yelled. But before she could get close the two girls had already thrown their Bakugan. Eyes of green and amber had their glares fixed on each other as their Bakugan clashed with each other in their ball forms after the girls threw them in, letting off sparks after the impact. They stood after the clash and right when they materialized, both girls jumped onto their partners before they flew up into the air.
Both Bakugan were violently clashing with each other. Streaks of green and purple were whizzing in the sky trying to find a weak spot.
Lunaris's wings made a bright flash that prevented Radion from striking her. This gave Lunaris the opening she needed and shot a purple plasma arrow to Radion which hit, causing her to fly back.
Radion growled while Akira was angrily glaring at her. "CERA!" she exclaimed. Radion's wings were engulfed in a rainbow fire and she flew right through Lunaris causing huge damage.
Cera hung on and looked towards Radion who was hovering with Akira looking right at her. "AKIRA!" Lunaris shot scales from her wings and Radion shot glass energy blades from her. Both attacks collided and both bodies clashed again before they flew back away from each other. Both Bakugan then shot towards each other for one final attack. Green energy was leaking off both Akira and Radion, while Dark Purple energy leaked off both Cera and Lunaris. When they clashed a bright white explosion that whited out the sky was seen. The energy from their attacks all concentrated to their last attack. Cameron, Aisha and Jayden had to cover their eyes from the glaring white flash that had spread all over the area.
Akira was asleep and her eyes shot open, all she could see was trees around her and the sky was a bright orange, indicating that it was sunset. Her hands felt slightly damp blades of grass. She looked around before smelling smoke. She got up to her feet and ran to the source of the smoke and the site before her scared her. "What is this?"
She saw a large mansion and a woman in a maids outfit was running into the mansion which was on fire as smoke peered through the open windows. "W-what happened?" she asked. She looked over her shoulder and noticed Radion was missing. "Radion! Where are you!? This is weird… what's going on here. I'm sure I was battling just now, right?"
"E-excuse me?" a sniffled voice got Akira's attention. She looked down to the source of the voice, which was a little girl but she had features that screamed familiarity. She had pale skin with big amber eyes and short dark hair. She wore a pink shirt with a dark skirt; she had long pink socks with black shoes. "Please… save them…" she said in a pleading tone.
"Save who? What are you talking about?"
"My Mama and Papa! They are inside, please save them!" she pleaded.
Akira turned to the burning building… "O-okay, I will!" Akira sprinted to the burning mansion and as soon as she entered, smoke filled up her nostrils and she started coughing. She could see a large lobby that led into a lounge and as she ran through it she saw a fireplace and a small family framed picture of four people, one adult male and two adult females with one of them being the maid. Finally one of them was the child and she was making a goofy smile.
She took it and the smoke was increasing, so she couldn't go further into the home. So she ran out of the front door and into the fresh air. She looked back and could see the flames had spread to most of the windows, she saw the little girl gazing at it with very wide eyes. Just then a woman in a maid's uniform ran out of the front door.
Akira instantly recognized that it was Samantha and this confirmed her suspicions. For whatever reason, she was watching the death of Cera's parents. And the little girl was in fact Cera herself. "Who are you? What are you doing here?" Samantha asked.
"I-I was just walking through here."
Samantha quickly picked up Cera and the looked back at Akira. "Quickly! We must get away from here!"
So they retreated from the mansion until they took a quick rest in the forest nearby. Cera was sobbing after Samantha put her down. "Mama! Papa! Where are they!?" she sobbed.
Akira walked to her and bent her legs so she was at her level. She took out the family photo that she took from the house earlier. "I'm so sorry…" she apologized as she handed the photo to little Cera. After the girl took it, tear drops started falling onto the family photo. "I had no idea you suffered like this… I've been so insensitive and mean to you. I didn't even get to know you. This must be very hard for you… Cera… from the bottom of my heart… I am so, so sorry…" Akira said a she tightly hugged the girl.
"T-thank you…" Little Cera whimpered.
Elsewhere it was morning and Cera rose up and she looked around and saw she was in a bedroom. The walls of the room were white and green.
"Strange, how did I get here…" she looked around and noticed that Lunaris wasn't anywhere near her. "Lunaris? Now I'm worried."
There was a stand for a lot trophies and medals. There was even a picture of a girl with brown hair and she was next to what looked like Radion's open ball form and Radion had pink bows on her. She held the picture and looked closer at it.
"Hold on, why is Radion with this other girl? This is getting weird…" before Cera could figure out what was going on the door burst open and a little girl with short violet hair was seen. She wore a white shirt with black pants and she was barefoot. What Cera noticed were a pair of large eyes that shone like emeralds.
"Akane!?" she exclaimed.
"S-sorry… I don't think she's here…" Cera replied.
Tears started to form and she started to silently sob to herself. Cera uncomfortably walked close to her and knelt down to her level. She needed to confirm something. "Hey uh… can I ask you what your name is?"
The girl started to wipe the tears from her eyes. "I-I'm Akira… s-sorry. I thought my sister was here?"
"Why would you think that?"
"I-I had a dream that she was in here since this is her room…" she started to sniffle. "She was even waiting for me... But it was only a dream…"
"So… can you tell me why your sister had to leave?"
"She didn't really say, but I trust her! She's really awesome! The best Bakugan battler that I know." She excitedly said. "But…I don't want to be here all alone!"
Cera looked at her. "You shouldn't worry… because you're not alone… as long as you have Radion, right?"
"Hey, my sister said something about that too."
Cera began to look at some of the other photos in the room and a couple of them had pictures of little Akira in them, though in almost every one, she looked shy. "Your sister… she means a lot to you, doesn't she?"
"Yes… she does… I-I love Akane… that's why I feel so lonely…"
"I know how that feels."
"Did you lose your sister too?"
"Well, I lost someone… and they are never coming back…but your sister is still alive so I can guarantee that you'll see her again."
"Yes… Radion always tells me that… but that doesn't mean I don't miss her every day."
Cera hugged little Akira. "I'm sorry… every loss is tragic, even if your sister will come back."
"But… you lost someone forever… then wouldn't it be worse? A-am I being a baby? You've went through something worse."
Cera shook her head and patted Akira. "No… every loss is tragic. No matter the circumstances. If you lose someone you love, they take a piece of your heart and until you get that piece of your heart back. You'll never be the same again." She said as she hugged Akira. "I'm sorry for not realizing that. I guess I should have gotten to know you better." A single tear fell from her right eye while she hugged little Akira.
In a blinding white area both Akira and Cera in their regular ages were hugging each other and when they realized this, they quickly let go and backed away from each other with blushes on their cheeks.
"Oh… I-I'm sorry about that…" Akira swiftly apologized.
"D-Don't be. I should be apologizing… It's just I saw you and you were talking about your sister." Cera replied.
"W-wait… but I s-saw you and what happened with your parents and… oh Cera I really didn't know! I'm so, so sorry!"
"No… It's alright. You couldn't have known. Plus I should apologize for treating the separation between you and your sister as a small thing. It greatly affected you and I didn't care for that, I was just selfish and I was only thinking about myself."
"But you weren't wrong. All that stuff you said…"
"Akira…" Cera interrupted… "Listen we should first find a way out of here… then we can talk about all that other heavy stuff later, alright?"
"Y-yeah… okay."
They both heard footsteps and moving towards them and walking to the two girls was the same woman who confronted Cameron. As she walked towards them, she had Radion and Lunaris floating by her sides. "I believe they belong to you…"
"Akiraaaa!" Radion cried as she quickly flew to her. "I was so worried about you. Where did you go!?"
"Maybe I'll tell you some other time."
Lunaris approached Cera. "Cera, are you alright?"
"Yes… I just came to a few realizations…" Cera looked to the woman before them. "So who are you and why are we here?"
The woman gave a slight bow. "My name is Venus… I am a proxy for Draconoid. As for why you two are here. I have brought the two of you here because you needed to be. The two of you are more alike than you realize and in order to restore harmony. I needed to show you the sorrows of your pasts so you can better understand each other… and it looks like it worked." Venus said with a smile.
"So you did that?" Cera asked. "Normally I would have protested against such, but maybe it was necessary for this our situation, don't you think?" Cera asked looking at Akira.
Akira nodded. "Definitely, I don't know if I speak for Cera. But I feel I needed to see what I saw."
Venus smiled. "I am glad, but that's not all." Akira and Cera looked confused. "You see, because you two have revealed your hearts to each other, and apologized for your past actions. I have seen enough to know that the two of you are deserving of this gift." Suddenly a green energy was surrounding Akira and a dark purple energy surrounded Cera.
"Hold on, you don't mean that…?" Akira started.
"That is right… Akira Haruna, Cera Rise. The power of Reversion belongs to you!" both girl gasped and had no words to express their shock. "Use this power to express the true feelings of your hearts!"
"Our hearts?" Cera repeated but she felt Akira's hand resting on her shoulder. "Okay we'll do it!"
Akira then looked at Venus and noticed something. "You know, you look like someone we know."
Radion quickly realized something. "Wait… weren't we in the middle of a fight right now?"
"Correct, you will be going back, but you will remember what transpired here. Goodbye for now." She disappeared in a white flash, and both Akira and Cera held hands as they disappeared from the white space.
Akira, Cera, Radion and Lunaris were back in Bakugan Valley and the girls were still on their Bakugan and they all had bruises and cuts from the current battle. "Cera… d-do you remember…?"
"Yes I do." Cera replied. "So… what do we do now?" before bright a purple energy was seen glowing from Cera's chest. The same could be said for Akira except this energy was green.
"Cera… one last battle." Akira said forcing a surprised gasp from Cera. "Let's finish this battle off, but this time… let's do it for fun. Sound good?"
Cera smiled at Akira's request. "I was hoping you would ask me that… what do you think Lunaris?"
"It would be great to battle under more friendly terms. Of course, that is only if Radion is alright with it."
"Heck yeah I am." Radion cheerily said. "Now let's get down to business!"
Lunaris nodded in response. "Yes, lets…"
Right after the two parties agreed they were surrounded by bright orbs that represented their attributes.
Cameron, Jayden and Aisha had their eyes slightly shrink as they looked at the light emanating from the orbs that were surrounding the girls and their Bakugan.
"What's going on up there!?" Aisha screamed as winds were being blown in all directions.
"Wait, could this be what I think it is…?" Jayden exclaimed.
"Y-you mean both Akira and Cera are about to…?"
"We should wait and find out!" Jayden exclaimed.
The orbs continued grow until eventually they exploded, Revealing Akira, Cera, Radion and Lunaris all in new appearances.
Radion with her pink eyes was hovering in the air with changes to her body. Her hair was shorter, messier and was a pure white colour. There were two long pink triangles on the cheeks of her face that were pulsing. Her entire body, accept for her belly, neck and face were covered in green feathers, while the uncovered parts were a pale green skin colour. She was wearing a sleeveless white Asian dress with green wavy accents, the dress stretched down to her upper legs, there were cuts that revealed her legs and thighs which had white coloured talons as her feet. Also there was a circular cutout in the dress to reveal her orange naval gemstone which had a hexagonal facet. There were small white angelic wings on her ankles and wrists. There was a cut in the back of her dress for two sets of angelic wings with their usual long wing span.
Akira who stood on Radion's shoulder had her hair turn white and her skin turn bright green. Her eyes were bright purple instead of green, and had the same pulsing triangles on her face. She wore a tight black tank-top with green accents that revealed her belly which was also covered by an orange gemstone with a hexagonal facet. She wore black shorts and there was a long white string tied around the top of the pants. Her feet were replaced with white coloured talons. There were also small wings on her wrists and ankles as well as two sets of angelic wings that stretched from her back.
After the second purple orb burst, Lunaris shot out into the air with a different look. Her skin was a bright purple colour and she wore a pink leotard with gold accents, she had a blue diamond jewel on above her chest. A four pointed skirt that was on her lower sides was purple and see-through. She was barefoot with gold bands on her ankles. She wore long bright pink arm fabrics that started from the end of her middle finger to the start of her forearms, there were gold string accents on the arm fabrics and there were gold bands that covered her wrists. Finally her butterfly wings were bright purple and they were see-through, there was also a pair of fairy wings that rested over the butterfly wings. Her eyes were black with two dots in them, they were purple and yellow respectively.
Cera sat on Lunaris's shoulder and stood up. She wore a sleeveless, strapless black dress that had some tears in it, it ended at her thighs in a tattered like style. She had similar arm fabrics to Lunaris on her arms. She was barefoot like Lunaris and her hair was straight and it stretched to her lower back, her tips were coloured in pink highlights, she also had two long hairs sticking out of her head giving it the appearance of a butterfly's antennae. Her left eye was bright yellow and her right eye was purple. She also had fairy and butterfly wings on her back and they were exactly the same as Lunaris's.
When the transformations were complete, both girls were smiling. "Well shall we continue?" Cera confidently asked.
Akira smirked in response. "Of course."
Radion: 900 Lunaris: 950
Their bodies were surrounded in the energy of their attributes as Reversion ability cards appeared in their hands. "Reversion Ability Activate!" they both exclaimed.
"Tempest Wing Burst!" Akira exclaimed. Both the four wings on Akira and Radion expanded and were engulfed by a green colour. Each of their wings shot a bright green beam which resulted in a total of eight green beams of light speeding towards both Lunaris and Cera.
Radion: 1250 Lunaris: 600
Lunaris looked down to Cera who hovered in front of her; purple sparkles slowly fell off her wings. "Worry not, Lunaris." Cera calmly said. "Ability Activate! Solar Wall!" Cera stretched out both her hands and her wings expanded and a transparent curtain formed in front of her and Lunaris. The eight beams crashed into curtain-like barrier but they couldn't do a thing as Lunaris's power rose to 1200. The beams ceased and both girls were smirking at each other. "Is that really how you're going to start off? I expected better from you."
Akira smirked in response. "Don't worry. I intend to give you a challenge!" she placed two abilities into her gauntlet. "Double Ability Activate! Reversion Ability: Angel Drive plus Nimbus Wings!" Both Akira and Radion were covered in bright green aura and their angelic wings were leaking green sparkles. Akira and Radion looked to each other and nodded. They both shot forward while their wings were covered in rainbow flames.
Radion: 1900 Lunaris: 1000
Both Akira and Radion were whizzing around in the sky, trying to confuse the duo of Cera and Lunaris.
"Let's put the brakes on this!" Cera placed a reversion card into her gauntlet. "Reversion Ability Activate! Peering Hypnosis!" Both of their wings turned dark purple and eyes grew on them. They let out a red shockwave that spread all across the battlefield and it spread to Akira and Radion who's abilities were then suppressed as they looked frozen in the air. "Your abilities were suppressed, now it's our turn!"
Radion: 1250 Lunaris: 1650
"Ability Activate! Darkening Arrow!" Suddenly a white and purple recurve bow appeared Lunaris pulled back on it. A smaller bow appeared for Cera as well. They both pulled on it at the same time and a magenta plasma arrow formed on both bows. They let loose and fired to both Akira and Radion.
Radion: 1000 Lunaris: 1900
Radion protected Akira by letting both arrows hit her and they both impaled her, causing pain as they slowly faded away. "Go for it Akira!" Radion forced out. Akira flew up high and blocked the sun as she was high above both Cera and Lunaris.
"Ability Activate! Needle Fury!" suddenly needles thin needles appeared in-between Akira's fingers and after she threw them down, they multiplied in the air several times as they fell. They pelted both Cera and Lunaris like rain and they sunk into their skin, dropping their power level to 950.
Cera wasn't feeling well and she landed on Lunaris's shoulder. "Cera… are you feeling alright?" she asked. "If not, we can end the match right here." She worriedly said.
Cera weakly looked at her partner. "It's very sweet that you worry about me, but…" She started to straighten up. "It wouldn't be right if we just stopped right now… Lunaris… besides… I don't think Radion and Akira would be happy if it ended right now."
Lunaris looked at Akira swinging her legs while she sat on Radion's shoulder. Lunaris chuckled to herself. "Who would have thought I would find myself in this situation. Alright, let's get back into the battle!"
Lunaris straightened out and Akira smirked. "Heh, took you long enough!" she said with a toothy grin.
Cera smirked as well. "I'm glad you think so, because I will take victory!" she shot her arm up. "Lunaris! Attribute Change!" suddenly Lunaris was wearing white leotard, while her skin turned bright yellow. The rest of her features followed suit, her wings were bright yellow and shone as bright at the sun. Akira gasped at the sight. "Oh you're surprised, Lunaris can freely change between Darkus and Haos attributes in her Reversion form… and…" Cera's outfit began to change as well, her dress became white while her hair became blonde, and the pink highlights became white. Her pink arm fabrics were yellow. "…So can I. What do you think?"
"Dare I say it, you kinda look cute. It's too bad that I'm going to have to fight you! Ability Activate! Tempest Weave!" both Radion and Akira charged orbs in between their hands and they shot bright green beams from their hands to Cera and Lunaris.
Radion: 1200 Lunaris: 750
"Quickly Lunaris!" Cera exclaimed as they both pulled out their recurve bows which were white and yellow this time. Cera gauntlet was glowing as she already placed the ability in it. "Lightwing Arrow!" they both shot arrow shaped projectiles of light that exploded as soon as they made contact with the beams, stopping their progress.
Radion: 950 Lunaris: 1000
"Alright Lunaris, time to show them our real power!" she placed another Reversion Ability into her gauntlet. "Reversion Ability Activate…" she pulled back on her bow and another much bigger arrow of light appeared in both Cera and Lunaris's bows. Sunstrike Arrow!" they shot their arrows and they quickly multiplied as they sped to both Radion and Akira dropping their power to 550 while she and Lunaris's power rose to 1400.
"HOLY SMOKES!" Radion yelled.
"Let's come together!" Akira exclaimed. "Reversion Ability Activate Angelic Purity!" green fiery halos appeared above Radion and Akira and a bright green fiery sphere surrounded both Radion and Akira as they both held their hands out to strengthen the barrier. The arrows pelted the barrier over and over and it started to crack. Their power only rose to 950.
"Hang on Akira!" Radion cried.
"I'm trying!"
The barrier shattered after taking the hits from the arrows and Akira tiredly hovered in the air and Radion lowered her head to her. "Hey Akira… you good…? We can stop if you want…"
"Not a chance…" Akira said while looking up. "I don't know why, but it feels that I have a lot left in the tank. These Reversion powers are truly spectacular. So I won't stop, not just yet." She looked back at Radion and smiled. "Besides, aren't you having fun?"
Radion smiled back. "Looks like I've finally rubbed off on ya."
Akira hovered back to Radion's shoulder. "I really thought you were going to quit on me." Cera said.
"Ha, shows how much you know. Reversion Ability Activate! Supersonic Blitz!" their wings extended and their bodies became covered in a fiery rainbow aura. Their belly gemstones shone bright blue and they flew towards Lunaris and Cera and both couldn't blink as they were already hit. Radion collided into Lunaris over and over while Akira was doing the same to Cera.
Radion: 1500 Lunaris: 1100
"Lunaris! Let's give this all we got! Reversion Ability Activate! Flurry Dance!" scales shook off their bright yellow wings and they flew over to each other. Cera and Lunaris were unleashing kicks and punches with their scales covering their feet and hands.
Radion: 1500 Lunaris: 1800
Akira was kicked up into the air and Radion was palmed down towards the ground. Radion crashed into the high ground of Bakugan Valley.
Akira looked down to Cera and Lunaris. "Ability Activate! Tempest Shard!" Akira's hands were covered in green energy and she shot glass energy shards from her hands that rained on top of Lunaris and Cera. Their power levels were even at 1500. Radion flew back up into the sky and met with Akira.
Cera flew in to the side of Lunaris and snapped her fingers, changing their attributes back to Darkus.
"So when all is said and done, we're still even." Cera said.
"Not for long." Akira replied. "Reversion Ability Activate! Velocity Dance!" Akira and Radion's belly gemstones shone bright pink and they both flew to Cera and Lunaris with green wind streaks flying off them. They released a barrage of punches and kicks to their opponents. Radion released a sweeping kick that shot Lunaris across the sky.
Radion: 2000 Lunaris: 1300
Cera meanwhile was trying to block the hits from Akira but she quickly grabbed her arms and Akira bashed her head into Cera's. Cera floated down and held her head and glared at Akira. "Argh what was that about!? Why did you bash my head like that!? This is a Bakugan Battle, not a street fight!" she angrily exclaimed.
Akira slightly giggled. "Sorry… it's just… I've always wanted to do that. So I got carried away..."
Cera glared at her as she placed an ability card in her gauntlet. Reversion Ability Activate! Fairy Scales!" Cera's wings were leaking off scales and pink sparkles and she combined them and Lunaris who was high in the sky did the same as Radion was flying to her. Both of them shot the orbs to Akira and Radion making a tremendous explosion. That forced the two away.
Radion: 1300 Lunaris: 1300
Akira flew back and she shook her head to regain her focus. "So tied again…"
"Fine, why don't we end this." Cera said taking out a special card.
Akira nodded as she did the same thing.
Radion worriedly looked at Akira. "Hey, you okay?"
"Of course… I'm actually having fun." She said looking to her partner. "That's why I want to give my all in this battle."
Cera meanwhile had her arms folded while she smiled. "I can see why Miss Samantha wants me to make friends. I feel more at peace now that I'm not alone."
"Are you alright to continue, Cera?" she asked.
Cera firmly nodded. "Yes, Lets bring this battle to an end!"
"Fusion Reversion Ability Activate!" both girls screamed.
"Star Empress Arrow!"
A huge recurve bow appeared in Cera's hands and she was covered in a purple aura, the bow also appeared in Lunaris's hands as well and they both pulled on the strings and bright purple plasma arrows that was leaking energy appeared and the bows was also leaking energy. The rise in power made Cera's hair shoot upwards.
"Tempest Barrage!"
At the same time the wings on both Radion and Akira expanded and their gemstones shone a bright blue colour. Green glowing tribal stripe marking formed on their bodies, much later Akira spun in the air and a large green hurricane formed around Radion and she threw it towards Akira and she shot towards Cera with a hurricane and dark green blades surrounding her while her wings were engulfed in a green aura.
Cera and Lunaris continued to put power into the arrows and their wings had white energy lining through them. A bright yellow magic circle appeared in front of the two. The arrow of magenta energy shone brightly and aimed it at the speeding Akira through the magic circle. They let go of the string which when Akira was only inches away. The arrows shot through creating a large blast of energy that had was roughly the size of Akira's attack.
There was a burst of purple and green energies fighting for dominance in the sky.
Radion: 1400 Lunaris: 1400
Their combined abilities ended, causing a huge explosion in the sky and when the explosion ceased. Both Akira and Cera were floating in the air, both of them looking fatigued. There were slight bruises on their bodies and they both started lightly giggling as they looked at each other before their laughing evolved into laughter.
Radion and Lunaris gave warm smiles.
Cera looked to the tired Akira. "Hey, what do you say we have that talk now?"
Akira simply nodded and they both flew over to their Bakugan. Lunaris and Radion flew off to a far location in Bakugan Valley.
Cameron, Jayden and Aisha had watched the battle and Jayden was glaring at Akira and Cera who were leaving. "Hey where are you going?! Come back here!"
"That was weird." Aisha said. "Did something happen?"
"I don't know…" Cameron replied. "I just hope those two won't start arguing again."
"They will be fine." Velocirex assured.
"How can you be so sure?" Jayden asked.
"You'll see, trust me..."
On a high peak of Bakugan Valley, both Radion and Lunaris landed and gently set their partners on the peak.
Right after they got off, Akira and Cera transformed back to their regular forms in a white flash, the same happened to Radion and Lunaris.
Radion tiredly hovered in the air. She gave a long sigh. "Man, am I beat…"
"It seems we reach out fatigue points a lot quicker if we utilize our Reversion Forms. That is something we will need to work on." Lunaris said.
"Chill Luna." Radion said. "We got past Reversion, so let's stop at there for now."
"It seems I was wrong about you Radion, you are not the childish Bakugan I mistook you for." Lunaris said making a very small smile.
"And you're not a heartless jerk, after all."
Akira and Cera were standing on the peak, looking at each other. "So… what did you want to talk to me about?" Cera asked.
"Well… where do I start? I guess I'll start by saying that… well I'm deeply sorry for calling you a rich brat and saying things about you and your parents… I-I didn't know… I was just so mad and-"
Cera walked close to her and placed her palm on her shoulder. "I thought we already apologized, no need to do it again."
"N-no! I-I've said some really mean things!"
"And so have I, but I don't plan on throwing you a parade. I'm sorry, you're sorry. So just forget about it."
"No, that won't sit right with me!" Akira exclaimed while she placed her hand on her chest. "You said that I take the people around me for granted, you're right! I'm not proud of it! I even took poor Radion for granted sometimes. It hurt when my sister left, and I didn't think she would. And if I were to lose one of you guys… then I'm not so sure what I would do."
"You shouldn't have to worry about that. We're not going anywhere." Cera said with a smirk. "But as for me, I'm also sorry... I wanted you to know me, but I never gave you the chance. I've been a nasty brat, so I've earned that title..."
"Don't be so hard on yourself. You're getting better, so its a start." Akira said, earning her a smile from the shorter girl. "So it's safe to assume that the bet we made is off?"
"Well… how about we just call it a draw. That way none of us have to leave the team." Cera said winking. Cera then sat down and patted the ground next to her, gesturing for Akira to sit next to her. Akira then took a seat next to her and they both looked at the late morning sun.
"So, we managed to get on top of this Reversion thing." Akira said.
"Well we're still forgetting the other three in our team. With us and Cameron, we're really only halfway there." Cera stated.
"Have faith, their time will come." Akira then suddenly yelped as her right hand was lightly grabbed by Cera's who was shyly looking away. "C-Cera…?"
Akira saw Cera's flushed face. "Y-you don't mind do you?"
Akira looked at Cera and smiled before looking up at the sky. "Not at all, but I'm tired. So mind if we rest here for a while?"
"Why not, I'm sure those three plus Zavanna can take care of things while we're gone." Both girls lied down and their fingers were locked with each other's.
Both girls turned to each other. "So what does this make us?" Akira asked. "Friends, frenemies, something else…?"
"Why give it a name?" Cera answered.
"But are we good, right?"
"Oh yeah, we're good."
Here is yet another long chapter. I hope you enjoyed it. I really did like writing Akira and Cera's interactions with each other, from their fights and their make up and I hope you enjoyed reading it. Please tell me what you thought and I'll see you in the next update.
