Chapter: What's to Happen Now?
…..
…..
…..
Everything had come down to the moment of snipping the wires from the puppet known as Will Graham. Hannibal knew the time had come to watch Will be accuse of the murder of Abigail Hobbs, but also, accused of the Copycat killer victims.
Anastasia had been in class when Jack Crawford appeared in her classroom, calling her outside of the room with no time to waste. Anastasia had excused herself from the class, shutting the door behind her and stepping away from the door for no student to eavesdrop about what Jack and her will talk about.
"Have you been in contact with Dr. Lecter?"
"What do you mean have I been in contact with Hannibal? What is going on for you to ask me such a question?"
"Will had escaped the van delivering him to a county jail. Dr. Lecter is missing with him. We already talked to Dr. Du Maurier, who said he missed his appointment this morning. I believe Will took him back to Minnesota to…" Jack did not finished the sentence.
Anastasia knew Hannibal could handle himself. She knew this was the way Hannibal wanted it to go. But obviously Jack did not know that; thus, Anastasia had to play this as if she was in shock and deeply concern for the wellbeing of Hannibal.
"Oh my. You have to stop Will, Jack. I—I can't be without Hannibal. I can't do this alone." Anastasia whispered, tears building up in her eyes.
Knowing the pregnancy would be found out sooner or later, Anastasia rested her right hand upon her lower belly. She saw Jack take a look at where her hand was placed before realization struck Jack. His eyes moved up to make connection with her own and he gave a firm nod.
"You won't be alone. I am going to Minnesota now. Now that I know Hannibal is not here either. Do not worry too much, Anastasia. Hannibal appears to be a man that can handle himself well." Jack said before he stormed out of the building.
When Jack fully disappeared, Anastasia cleared her throat and wiped away the fake tears. She rubbed her lower belly where she could feel the firmness beginning to settle in. Collecting herself, Anastasia moved back to the classroom door and entered the classroom with a smile.
"Sorry about that class. Shall we resume?"
…..
Next Day
…..
Anastasia had been in the kitchen when Hades began to bark and run out of the kitchen, going to the front door to Hannibal's home. She continued to slice through apples, and putting them into a glass bowl with baking seasonings for an apple pie.
The clicks of Hades claws made Anastasia to look up, seeing Hades walk into the kitchen and went over to his bed, laying down. Hannibal stepped in with slight bags underneath his eyes, showing he did not get much rest.
Washing and drying her hands off, Anastasia moved toward Hannibal. She lifted her hands up to brush across his cheeks before she cupped them. Her eyes flickered over his face and then looked up and down his body, checking him over.
"I am fine, Anastasia."
"Jack told me you were fine after the fact Will had you at gunpoint. Seriously, Hannibal, you could have been seriously hurt or worst." Anastasia said, holding back from talking to him in a scowling tone.
…..
Hannibal wrapped his hands around Anastasia's waist, pulling her closer to him and pressing her against him. He knew Jack informed Anastasia about everything, since Hannibal saw Jack make a call to Anastasia after leaving Will's hospital room.
Everything had gone to plan. Will was going to be place behind bars, even as Will figure out that the copycat killer had been Hannibal the whole time. All evidence pointed at Will; thus, Hannibal showed Will who would walk away free.
The way Anastasia checked him over, clearly holding back from scowling him, Hannibal did not mind it. He quite enjoyed the fact Anastasia became concern for him. He enjoyed the fact he came home with a presence, never an empty house anymore. It was pleasant to see emotional Anastasia got over him because to him it showed him she felt deeply for him, but also, her loyalty to him.
Between Anastasia and him, they would need all the normalcy they could get. Hannibal knew Jack would make his presence because of how Hannibal used to be Will's psychiatrist. There was also the fact a trial would happen due to Will being the "Copycat Killer." Yet, at the same time, Hannibal had a feeling the forensic team Will work beside would hover around too.
"It is over for now." Hannibal said as he ran one of his hands down her back and the other came up to cup the side of her neck.
…..
A Couple Days Later:
…..
Hands gripped the porcelain toilet, clenching tightly at the round edges. Another pair of hands appeared in order to hold back hair.
"Oh, this sucks."
A hand rubbed up and down Anastasia back.
"It will pass."
"Hopefully." Anastasia muttered.
Hannibal stepped backward as Anastasia began to push herself up from a knelt down position. Hannibal reached for her arm, helping her up as her knees were a bit shaky.
It was around five in the morning when Anastasia shot up from bed, running to the bathroom and throwing up everything within her stomach. Her morning sickness would usually hit her out of nowhere without her expecting it.
Anastasia washed out her mouth before she brushed her teeth. She brushed for a while, trying to get the acidy taste out of her mouth. When she was done, Hannibal brushed his own teeth and then followed her out of the bathroom, saying about being up for the day now.
"I'm sorry." Anastasia mumbled as she laid back down on the bed.
It was early in the morning, and Anastasia knew how Hannibal was not someone would liked to get up early when he did not have to. She knew his appointments were later on in the morning, and she felt bad on waking him up.
"Do not worry. To take care of you and the little one is a good excuse to get up." Hannibal gave her a smirk.
Anastasia gave him a small grin. She watched him pull on his navy blue robe, and tied the rope above his waist to shut the robe. Anastasia pushed up from the bed, swinging her legs off the sides and standing upright.
"Ana, you should rest."
"I think some tea will settle my stomach. And at the moment, I don't think I can fall back asleep." Anastasia said.
With a nod, Hannibal opened the bedroom door and allowed Anastasia to walk out first. He followed, coming alongside her and his hand brushed her lower back. Her attention was drawn to him. He glanced down at her then looked away. The hand against her back had a bit more pressure, pressing against her lower back now.
The two walked down to the kitchen together. Anastasia sat herself in the leather sofa chair in the corner of the kitchen near the wine cellar door. She clenched a cup of ginger tea between her hands, taking little sips while watching Hannibal cook breakfast.
Everything Hannibal did in the kitchen, Anastasia felt everything was precise and smooth. As she watched, she thought how Hannibal made every movement art. With a serious facial expression set on his face, a look of concentration even if it was the simplest dish, Hannibal emphasized his skills in the kitchen. Every movement of the hands and techniques were fluent and flawless. Anastasia brought the cup of tea to her lips to hide the smile with a hint of amusement and excitement, always finding Hannibal expertise in the kitchen interesting to watch.
Hannibal looked up to catch her eyes, which made her to smile behind the cup of tea hiding her lips. His head tilted at her, catching her in the act of staring at him.
"I'm enjoying the show."
A small chuckle escaped Hannibal as he focused his attention back at the task at hand.
When breakfast was made, Anastasia had to restrain herself from aggressively consuming the food. As always, Hannibal made everything to perfection and delicious. Think slices of french toast made out of sweet bread, hash browns, a couple slices of bacon and a small portion of fresh strawberries and blueberries.
The two sat in the dining area, enjoying the golden hue coming through the glass doors from the rising sun. The sun rays brought a pleasant warm feeling to spread through the two adults. Their conversation were light, talking about Anastasia work, but it soon turned to Hannibal's work, which led into recent events.
"Will you visit him?"
"Yes, I will continue to do so."
"Even if Will doesn't want you there because he knows the truth about you?" Anastasia questioned while she sliced through a part of the thick, fluffy french toast.
"Yes."
"You do know you still have to watch you back. Jack will continue to listen to Will. Even though he isn't at the moment, Will mind is clear now." Anastasia pointed out as she lifted her eyes up to meet Hannibal eyes.
"I have my eyes on Jack and Will's former forensic team. They will do everything possible to dig up evidence to prove Will innocence."
"If they do that, they will be hovering around us more." Anastasia said with a hint of concern.
Hannibal reached a hand out to rest on to of her right forearm. His thumb brushed the back of her wrist and up her forearm as he stared directly into her eyes.
Anastasia could only sit still, not making any sort of movement to disrupt his hand off her arm. She enjoyed Hannibal touches, but this concern erupting for her was not for just herself. It was for the little one that grew inside of her. She did not want any immense amount of stress anywhere near her, and she did not want any type of harm either. She wanted Hannibal to be cautious and lie low till the baby was at least close to being born or born. For she did not want to raise the baby alone.
"Everything will be all right, Ana. Trust me." Hannibal assured, pulling his hand slowly off her forearm.
All Anastasia could do was nod because what else could she do. If she disagreed with Hannibal, it would tell him that she did not fully trust him to keep her and the little one safe. Anastasia knew Hannibal would do everything in his power to keep her protect, not because she was his lover and was carrying his first child, but because by him keeping her protect, it would make her to continue to put her loyalty and trust into him. She would continue to stick by his side through everything.
Although, Anastasia did have a feeling Hannibal was already steps ahead of everyone and had plans laid out if something was to go wrong. It was Hannibal speciality to be many steps ahead, shocking people to the core at how well he could predict events, especially in his favor.
"If there is any reason you are unsure about anything with Jack Crawford involve, deny everything. Tell me." Hannibal told her.
"You think he would come seek me out to speak privately?"
"Knowing how Jack is, yes, he would." Hannibal looked up from his plate to stare at her while he reached for his glass of freshly squeeze orange juice.
"You have a good point. I can handle him, Hannibal."
"I have no doubt, but I have a feeling Jack will not puts limits on himself when he wants something."
"And that wanting something is to prove Will innocence?" Anastasia said before she bit into a strawberry.
"Exactly."
"You believe Jack will actually turn around to start proving Will's innocence?"
"Will was Jack's stop profiler, but also, Jack is the one who brought him back into the field when Will was clearly not ready."
"So, Jack feels guilty. How interesting…" Anastasia said with a single eyebrow raised.
"We will simply live normally, Ana."
"You aren't worry?" Anastasia asked without a miss beat.
She had to know more about his thought process. She knew his mind was constantly going, constantly planning and figuring out ways to approach situations from all angles. Anastasia needed to pick at his mind some more to continue to understand everything he does.
"No."
Her eyebrows raised up her forehead at the answer. It caught his attention, and Hannibal gave her a small reassure smile.
"Every step to take in the future is all plan out, Ana. I will take care of the three of us." Hannibal said, holding his hand out upright toward her.
Slowly, Anastasia set the fork down on her plate and reached out toward Hannibal. She placed her hand onto his, watching as his long, powerful fingers wrapped around her hand, consuming her hand in warmth. He brought their hands up and his lips laid on the back of her hand. While doing so, his hazel maroon color eyes rested upon her.
There was a gleam in those eyes that appear more maroon today. A gleam, which made her to give Hannibal a nod with a smile reaching her eyes. She knew by the gleam in his eyes, he was telling the truth, yet at the same time, nothing would stand in his way.

Hi Everyone,
Here was another chapter!
I believe that there was a three months or so period between season 1 and 2, where it was three months later. The next chapter, I had extended the period to more months passed than just three months.
