Normal POV
Duchess Morbucks half smiled about her moment to shine. Her Prince was coming for her...finally...all she would have to do was fit some ol' slipper and she would be the Crown Princess of Asheia...and one day...the Queen.
Duchess pulled out her fan and started fanning herself with the thought of all the admirers, dresses, jewelry and even the crown. Her eyes darted right at Buttercup, who looked so pretty with her smile and peachy blush.
Duchess glared at her, Buttercup looked absoultely lovely in her plain clothes especially with a smile like that and her emerald green eyes sparkled like the actual gem.
"Why is she so happy?" Duchess was still glaring, she looked up and down at her and she even looked at Bubbles, who looked right at Buttercup with a smile of her own, "I bet Countess would want our Cinderella to put on that slipper. She's such a traitor...siding with our peasant cousin over us."
"Well then...it's about time...I mean." Lady Morbucks said but her voice showed how nervous she was, she cleared her throat, "Girls...it's time to get pretty up."
Princess snorted and chuckled, "Mommy, like we really need to look any more gorgeous than we are now." Princess patted her hair up to make it more puffier.
"Oh yes...Princess, where is your diamond crested brooch. Just because this is Duchess' big moment doesn't mean that you can't look elegant as well. I mean...what if one of the Princes is with him...or the Grand ArchDuke himself."
"Oh...you have a point Mommy. I must show that wealth." Princess instantly ran up the stairs.
"And Duchess, precious...a little more blush on your cheeks...oh and your amethyst earrings are perfect." Lady Morbucks suggested, "Countess...you're fine just the way you are...after all this doesn't concern you...you're marrying the Future Viscount after all."
"Yes Mother." Bubbles smiled.
Lady Morbucks scoffed, "Cinderella, this Sitting Room is a mess. Clean it up immediately. Duchess, hurry upstairs darling."
"Of course Mommy. This dress is just so plain...it needs all the jewelry it needs." Duchess was about to leave when she grabbed her mother's hand, "Mommy, you must help me to decide on the earrings...plus I have something interestiing to tell you." She whispered as they left the room.
Buttercup's POV
They finally left the room, I sighed in relief and started picking up all this fabrics.
My heart was pounding so fast, it felt like Butterflies were fluttering inside my stomach, and my head felt so filled with hot air that it could explode. I could barely keep myself from smiling like a Court Jester.
This was it...he was coming...Oh my god...I don't know how I was suppose to feel or what I was suppose to do.
"Cinderell- I mean Buttercup, what are you doing?" Bubbles looked at me, she was so serious.
"Seriously, how did I end up with Cinderella?"
"Don't change the subject...this is your chance." Bubbles smiled and giggled. She pulled out her wand and waved it around, the fabrics all over the floor and table started to float up and into her hands, "You don't have time to worry about this...and my wedding gown." Bubbles sounded excited, she couldn't be excited about marrying Danny.
"What? What about...that Lord of yours?"
"What about him?" Bubbles tilted her head, looking so confused.
"Well- Ow!" I jumped up as my back was hurting again, "Damn it all." The pain was instense but it faded away quickly as it came.
Bubbles didn't seem to notice,, as she was struggling to walk but her fabrics were piled high that she couldn't see and nearly tripped over a sash. I caught her in time.
"Oh...Cousin Buttercup, you've gotten stronger." She smiled, she was acting really strange.
"Yeah...ya know...it's pretty strange...ya know how growing stuff out of their season is really tough...I mean...I did enchanted that Apple tree...but that was an accident...but it was really really easy this time and my back- Wait...don't distract me-"
"Oh my goodness, we don't have time for this, " Bubbles waved her wand again and the stuff went right into her arms, she wishpered the last part, "Your Prince is coming."
I couldn't keep myself from blushing or my magic from flowing from me, the plants in the room started to bloom flowers, I stomped and pouted as I whispered, "He's not my Prince...ok..."
Bubbles giggled, making me feel more embarrassed. She was trying to walk again.
I sighed and rolled my eyes, "Give me some of those." I took half from off the top, so that she could see.
"Oh thank you...I may have gotten a little carried away...with my wedding and all. I want my dress to be perfect. I even thought of a wedding dress...for you."
I nearly fell on the stairs, "Shut up." My face felt hotter than before. I could hear flapping wings and grunts as we werre going up the stairs.
"I was thinking of light satin blue and silky white...with bluie roses pinned to them. What do you think? I mean...I thought about violets...but those are more purple than blue...or forget-me-nots...but those are Belle's favorite..."
How could she be so excited...what could have happened? Was she under some sort of spell? Only Witches could do that...I doubt she would do that to Bubbles.
Bubbles sighed as we finally made it to her room and placed the fabric and stuff into a separate trunk.
"This is it. Oh Buttercup...he's coming. I can't want...I bet he'll recognize you and won't even put the slipper on you. I mean...*closes the door* I mean...I did enchanted the slipper to copy your Mother...Auntie Lily...I bet it can only fit your feet."
I felt nervous again...What if it doesn't?
"I...I...have to finish my work." I thought my chest was going to explode. Oh my god, he's coming...Butch is coming...he's coming!
I could barely control my magic, the dead cut flowers in Bubbles' room came back to life and grew roots that busted right out of the vase.
"Buttercup...Buttercup...calm down. It's going to be fine." Bubbles held my hands.
"How do you know that?" I whispered, my back felt like it was on fire now, "I lied to the Crown Prince...I acted and lied above my class...do you know the penalty...the punishment for that." I rubbed my hands together, trying so hard to keep my magic under control as the roots were still growing.
"HHmmmm...you've got a point...you could be punished...or maybe...he'll forgive you. You won't know until you try...and I'll back you up too."
I took a deep breath, my magic calmed down too, "Oh...I'm still gonna do it. Now if you excuse me...I gotta clean this up and get a new vase." I picked Fang up and opened the door.
Normal POV
As Buttercup opened the door, a pair of eyes were staring at her from a crack door, across the room...Duchess' room.
"I'll get a vase...and a broom." Buttercup was hurried along down the stairs.
"Hmmmm...maybe you're right." Lady Morbucks said, "There is a resemblance..."
"Mommy, you're not going to let Cinderella try on the slipper." Duchess whhined.
"Oh please...I never said I would...hmmmmm...you know...I've been in the mood for some music."
The Royal Carriage finally left New Town Shire and was slowly going towards an estate.
Ok...for the last time, there is a sequel in the making for this Buttercup story. I repeat, a Sequel. I also have the first chapter of the Bubbles fairy tale story up...problem is...I can't think of a title. Please read and review and I thinks for your patience. I lost one of my cats last week and spent the whole time looking for her and putting up posters. I'm still looking out for her but I can't keep my readers in suspense. Seriously, one of you said you were ready to foam at the mouth for the chapter.
Please read and review
