I really do apologise for the next few chapters as I'm not overly sure about whether or not they make sense. I found it quite hard to write Fred and George in the trio's mission but I am trying my very best to make it work.

Chapter 29 – The Mission
It had been a week since Harry had informed Hermione and Ron about the horocruxes and the trio were none the wiser. Hermione was struggling to find any information on the subject in the library, even in the restricted section.

"Maybe Dumbledore got rid of any book that mentioned them after what happened with Tom Riddle." Ron stated.
"Probably. The last thing anyone wants is another you-know-who running around." Harry replied.
"Do you think any one else made some? Like some of his death eaters?" Ron asked.
"Don't be daft Ron. You-know-who wants to be the most dangerous wizard out there so he's not going to give away his secret to any one, not even his death eaters." Hermione replied.

That evening Dumbledore called the trio up to his office to speak to them.

"Good evening." He spoke in a calm but cheerful tone.
"Good evening Professor." Hermione replied.

The trio took seats in front of Dumbledore's desk nervously.

"I'm sure you both are aware of the task that I have set Harry?" Dumbledore spoke.
"Yes Sir, Harry has told us." Hermione replied politely.
"Well the reason I have brought the three of you here is to ask you a very important question." Dumbledore spoke.

Three sets of eyes watched the headmaster carefully. Hermione's eyes drifted down to Dumbledore's blackened hand, fear filling her body.

"As Harry has told you, we think you-know-who has made various horocruxes which hold part of his soul. Harry has already destroyed one which was the diary and I have destroyed another one which was this ring." Dumbledore spoke showing them a golden ring with a black broken stone in it.
"Do you know what other items they might be sir?" Hermione asked.
"Miss Granger I really wish I did know but unfortunately we don't have any straight answers, we can only but guess at this stage. I do have an idea of where one item may be and Harry shall be assisting me on a trip to find it once I have found out some more information." Dumbledore replied.
"Can we help you?" Hermione asked.
"Not with this mission you won't be able too as it will be far to dangerous. However the reason I have brought you here is to ask you both if you'd be willing to assist Harry and maybe myself on the hunt for the remaining horocruxes" Dumbledore asked.
"What will that entitle Sir?" Ron wondered.
"Like I say, what the future holds will be filled with uncertainty. We must find out as much information on Tom Riddle now before we do set out to find these items. They are our one and only way of defeating you-know-know." Dumbledore replied.

It was unusual for people to hear Dumbledore being so uncertain and negative as he was usually a positive person. This scared the trio.

"Will we have to leave Hogwarts?" Ron asked, finally speaking up.
"Hopefully it won't come to that but you may Mr Weasley. I will not always be here." Dumbledore replied.

It was clear Dumbledore knew something that he did not want to tell the trio. He was hiding something, something that was clearly bothering the man.

"I really wish I had more answers for the three of you but at the moment I don't. I hope to have more answers for you as the days progress but for now I wish that you do not tell anyone else about this meeting." Dumbledore spoke.

The trio stood up and left Dumbledore's office and made their way back to the busy common room.

"What was that all about?" Ron wondered.
"Ron don't you ever listen to a word anyone says?" Hermione retorted.
"Yeah I do but sometimes Dumbledore speaks like he's talking in a different language." Ron replied.
"Look he wants us to help Harry find these horocruxes and he said he's going to try and find out as much information on them as he can before we set out looking for them." Hermione spoke.
"And where are we going to find these at? They could be anywhere." Ron spoke in a frustrated tone.
"That's what Dumbledore said. They could be anywhere. He said he's going to help us the best he can." Harry replied.

The following week Dumbledore asked the trio back to his office.

"I have been doing some searching and I have came to the conclusion that these horocruxes that you-know-who has made all relate to him in some way or another. I think they are very important heirlooms like the ring belonged to his grandfather and the diary was obviously his." Dumbledore stated as the trio sat down.
"What do you think they are sir?" Ron asked.
"That I am not overly sure. Even if I was to figure that out it will be the question of where these items are. In some of the memories I have seen I have spotted a young Tom Riddle taking a liking to some very expensive and important items which may or may not be horocruxes." Dumbledore replied.
"Like what?" Ron questioned.
"Well there was a golden cup and a diadem which he appeared to take a likening too." Dumbledore answered.
"A what?" Ron wondered.
"A diadem is like a tiara." Hermione answered.
"Why would Tom Riddle want a tiara?" Ron then wondered which caused Harry and Hermione to roll their eyes.
"I think it was because it was worth a lot of money. He used to work for Borgin and Burkes after he left here so had to go on the search for items to be sold in the shop." Dumbledore explained.
"So that could possibly give us two more items Sir." Harry said.
"Yes Harry they could possibly be another two and I think I know where a third item may be." Dumbledore answered. "Unfortunately that is all the information I can give the three of you at this moment in time."

Harry, Ron and Hermione then left Dumbledore's office and made their way back to the busy Gryffindor common room.

"At least we know a bit more now about what we're looking for. Now all we have to do is figure out where these things are." Hermione spoke in a positive tone.
"And that will be like finding a needle in a haystack Hermione. They could be absolutely anywhere and anywhere in the world." Ron answered.
"You don't think he hid them in a different country?" Harry wondered.
"Anything is possible, this is you-know-who we're talking about here. He'd hide them anywhere if he thought no one would ever find them." Hermione replied.
"But I don't think he ever expected anyone to find out his secret in the first place." Harry said.
"I wonder if any of his death eaters have made any?" Ron wondered.
"Oh you have got to be kidding me Ronald? Do you not think destroying You-know-who's ones will be bad enough without having to worry about his death eaters making them too." Hermione snapped.
