Chapter 30
Is it really gone?
After finding out that her gift had dissapeared, the guards of Major Land rushed outside to see what the comotion was about, and were filled in by Tune as they carried Beat back inside -knowing that she shouldn't be walking around at this moment, and may have caused herself more injuries by fighting the Negatone-, though the girl didn't seem to notice and just continued to stare at her hands in shock and confusion, but most importantly, sadness.
The next day soon arrived and after receiving a message from Karen, Blaze and the other's were rushing down the corridor and soon saw Karen sat outside a room where Hanon had been moved too due to her previous room being trashed the night before.
"What's going on? Is my sister okay?" Blaze asked, running over to Karen, who had stood up just as her friends had arrived.
"Well she's been checked over and she's just sustained a few more cuts and bruises from the Negatone's attack last night. But that's the least of our worries right now."
"What do you mean, Karen?" Luchia asked, waiting anciously for an answer.
"Well, last night, when we defeated the Negatone, Hanon reached out to grab the note, but it disappeared and from then on she's just keeps looking at her hands for some reason, and when I asked her what was wrong all I got was that her gift had gone, but what gift?"
Blaze sighed as he heard Karen ask this, knowing that she had to be told.
"The gift that Hanon's talking about is that she she has a connection with the notes that enables her to communicate with them better than we can, and that's whats caused Trio the Minor to come after her."
"Well then, isn't it a good thing that it's gone?"
"No, Karen, it's not. Losing this gift is as painful to her as lossing an arm would be painful for us. It's part of her."
"I'm going to talk to her." Luchia said, standing up and walking towards Hanon's room, surprising her friends, especially Karen, who stood up in protest.
"It's no good, I tried to talk to her not long before you guys came, but she wouldn't answer, and anyway, I think the doors locked."
"I don't care, she needs us right?" Luchia questioned, walking towards Hanon's room without waiting for an answer, knocking before she tried to open the door, though found out that Karen had been right all along about the door being locked.
"Hanon, it's me, Luchia. Open the door." Luchia asked, though didn't get an answer at all, so she descided to head back to her friends.
"Nothing." She said with a shrug, causing Blaze to stand up, having an idea of what to do.
"I'm going to speak to Aphrodite and see if there's any way to snap Hanon out of this funk."
"Then, we'll come with you." Mia said, determined not to sit around and do nothing, but Blaze wasn't having none of it.
"No, you guys need to stay here in case anything bad happens, besides, I won't be gone for too long." Blaze said, recieving a nod from a reluctant Mia as well as the others before he walked towards Aphrodite's throne room.
Upon arriving, Blaze knocked once or twice before he entered, causing Aphrodite to look up at him from her throne
"What can I do for you, Blaze?"
"Well, I'm sure you've heard about what happened last night, and about Hanon's gift disappearing, but now Hanon won't speak to anyone and she's baracaded herself in her room."
"I can assure you that Hanon's gift hasn't dissapeared, at least not for good."
"But, why has dissapeared in the first place."
"When Hanon was place under Noise's spell, she was forced to attack you and your friends, and the notes felt like they would be targeted also, so in order to protect themselves, they disappeared until they were sure that Hanon was back to normal."
"But, they don't seem to be aware that Hanon is back to normal."
"Well, you and your friends have to find a way to inform them about it."
"But how?"
"i'm sure you'll figure something out." Was all Aphrodite said, before there was a knock at the door, giving Blaze his signal to leave.
