A/N: Y'all, I was "banned" for like a month from FF! Long story short, someone reported my stories to some admin group and there had to be a "review". Such bullshit. Anyway, I'm back with more mediocre ass content, babes!
Part XXIX
With Dominic on vacation, Luke was entrusted to keeping his office secure. He was on call. So when Dominic called and requested something in his office, Luke was the only one to touch it. In the meantime, Hobbs had his own business to work on. A security company that, by the end of the year, would be fully functional and providing private bodyguards to businesspeople and celebrities alike. It'd been a long time coming, but he'd finally put his plan in motion.
"Hobbs." He said, answering his ringing cell phone.
"I want you."
His eyes closed, briefly before he turned back to the pages in front of him.
"No." He told her. Mostly because he found that denying her something aroused him faster than anything else.
"Yes."
"I said no. Anything else I can help you with?" He asked, impatiently.
"Yes, actually." He could hear her moving around, and then the clink off ceramic touching a hard surface. "Last night the alarms went off around The Estate."
The pen in his hand stilled.
"And?"
"Well, the police said it was nothing, probably just some feral creature trying to get inside."
Hobbs realized that she was probably lying and it would only take one call to his contacts within LAPD to find out the truth. Still, he'd play her game, if only to see what he could gain from it.
"And how are my services needed exactly?"
"Well, you're a bodyguard. And I have a body to guard."
He allowed himself to smirk, knowing she couldn't see him. "You have your own security team."
"Yes, but they don't make me feel very secure."
Hobbs sighed. "I'm busy, Elena."
"I understand. So, I won't take up much more of your time than, say, two hours this evening? Just a sweep of the estate and check the locks on my windows and doors?"
Hobbs was far from an idiot and she knew that. What's worse is that she knew he was aware of what she was offering him: a choice. He could say 'no' and that be the end of her game or he could say 'yes' and be shown sexual favor fit for a king.
So, instead, he replied, "I'll consider it."
Letty shifted in bed, her body stretching as her eyes struggled to open. There was the sweetest smell filling the air. That's what originally roused her senses. When her eyes finally opened, she saw the brightly colored hibiscus flowers and rose petals that Dom had scattered onto the bed.
"Happy birthday, gorgeous."
"Mm. Thank you." Letty hummed through another stretch that eventually ended with her sitting up in bed. The sheet fell from her body, revealing her naked breasts to Dominic. "How long have you been up?"
"Awhile."
She crooked a finger at him and he stood from a wicker chair and climbed onto the bed and into her arms.
"I seem to recall your plans including ravaging my body until I'm deliciously sore." She watched as his eyes glinted with a playfulness that brought a smile to Letty's face.
"They did, indeed." He gave a small growl and buried his face in her neck. Dominic did exactly what he promised, making her beg him to finally stop.
"Gentle." She whispered in his ear. And so, for his grand finale, Dominic gave her slow strokes while staring into her eyes and whispering the filthiest little sentiments to Letty until they came together.
With her legs like jelly, Letty was forced to stay in bed while Dominic brought their breakfast to her. Fresh start fruit and mango that Letty could not get enough of.
Two hours later, Letty found herself having the greatest massage she'd ever received. To be fair, there had only been two professional massages prior, but this one had her biting her lip to refrain from groaning aloud. Midway through, a small Native girl ran through the massage parlor of the hotel with a bundle of wildflowers.
"Señora Toretto, your husband sent these for." The little girl told Letty. "He says to say that he hopes your massage makes you as calm and relaxed as you make him."
Letty's cheeks hurt from smiling so broadly. She accepted the flowers from the living doll before her. Letty removed a Bayahibe rose and a cluster of baby's breath from the bouquet and handed it to the sweet girl with a wink.
"Benedicion."
"Dios te bendiga."
Letty and her mom enjoyed an ocean-side lunch, complete with chilled Barceló rum and another surprise from Dominic. The staff of the small restaurant brought out balloons and small tres leches cake topped with fresh starfruit and Letty's favorite salted caramel ice cream.
"From Señor Toretto. He says he hopes it is as sweet as you."
Letty shook her head in disbelief and looked at her mom. "That man."
"That man, indeed." Lana replied, smiling back at her. It was so lovely to see her daughter so indisputably happy. It was all she had ever hoped for. Looking at her watch, Lana's eyes widened.
"We have to get going if we're going to make our hair appointment!"
Lana and Letty walked the mile to the small hair dresser, taking in the sights, sounds and smells of the small island. Upon arrival, three native women pulled them inside and got to work. Letty didn't have to allow herself to relax; it came naturally. There was something about this island that made her feel at home. The people were friendly, the landscape was dazzling and air was almost constantly sweet.
In the end, Letty decided on a half-up, half-down style, complete with a topknot on the crown of her head.
"You look beautiful." Lana told her when they were finished. "Let's go get ready for dinner."
The Neves Estate, Los Angeles, 6PM
"Hello, darling." Elena greeted him at the door. She wore a knowing smile and little else. A dust pink nightie hung from her shoulders and just barely touched her thighs. If she bent over, Hobbs would have seen her thoughts. He prayed she wore panties. The further down his eyes went, the harder his dick got. She had on four-inch gold heels that wrapped like ivy around her ankle.
"Is this how you always answer the door?"
"Maybe you should stop by more often and find out?"
He gave a grunt of disapproval. If she answered the door like that for anyone else, he'd have to kill her and anyone who dared to lay eyes on her.
She stepped aside, allowing him in.
"I have men checking the perimeter. One is meeting with your head of security as we speak."
"Then we don't have much time."
Hobbs refrained from rolling his eyes. "Show me your security cameras."
She led him into the kitchen, instead, and poured him a drink.
"No." He refused it. "I don't drink on the job."
Instead of arguing, Elena sat it on the island and smiled.
Fine, she mused, let's see if you can do this sober.
"Have you eaten?"
No.
"Yes." Luke lied.
She went to the fridge anyway and pulled out a circular wooden tray with fruit, cheese and crackers on it. Topping a soda cracker with pepper jack, Elena held it up to his mouth.
"Eat."
His hand came up and grabbed her wrist. It was clear to her that he was trying to reestablish his dominance. Still, Luke's mouth opened and he ate the proffered food. He stared her down, waiting for poison to kick in, or worse, for her to call him a good boy. Neither happened. Elena simply picked up a green grape and fed that to him as well. The mixture of salty and sweet was delicious, though he'd never admit it.
She worked him through half of the tray, poured him a glass of orange juice and made sure he drank at least half.
"Follow me." She said, leading him out of the kitchen and down the hall. They stopped in the camera room where a dozen monitors held various surveillance angles around different parts of the estate. She pointed out exactly where the alarm was tripped.
"What's on the other side of that gate?" Luke inquired, sitting in the chair and pointing at a screen.
"More grasslands. A bit of forest." She rounded his spread legs and sat on his lap,
Luke's hand, which had been tapping at the keyboard, froze and balled into a fist momentarily. If Elena saw it, she didn't comment. Instead, she pushed his hand to the side and opened a recorded file, showing him the alert that had come through the night before. Luke watched intently. He leaned closer to the screen and hit the backspace button three times.
"Look." With his finger on the screen, Elena leaned forward, her nightie riding up and her perfect little ass pressed further into his crotch.
"That's not a feral little creature." She said, her voice laced with concern.
Luke looked at her profile; stared at it really, and realized the woman didn't have a single bad angle. She had nothing about her that he could hate.
So why was he trying so hard to?
"Who the hell is that? What if they come back tonight?" Her accent was thicker when she was frantic. And Luke found himself even more attracted to her.
And before he could even fully understand his need to distract Elena from her worries, Luke told her:
"Don't worry. I'll protect you."
And if she had been wearing panties, they would have been soaked through.
Dominic let out low whistle. "Wow. You look—." He searched his entire mental dictionary before he came up with, "seraphic."
Letty's lashes fluttered. That was new. Edible. Breathtaking. Stunning.
He'd called her many things before but 'seraphic' somehow amazed her. She looked down at the flowing ivory chiffon dress. At the salon, the women had swooned over the fact that her rich boyfriend brought her to the island for her birthday. They decided she needed something special, so they wove fresh flowers into her dark hair. She suddenly felt as angelic as she looked to him.
"And you look," Letty took in his white linen shirt and pants, "celestial."
Dominic smiled, his eyes crinkling at the corners. "If we're both heavenly, I wonder who's ruling Hell right now."
He held his hand out to her and she crossed the room, placing her hand in his.
"That's tomorrow's problem." She smiled back at him, standing on her tiptoes to kiss his lips.
"Are you ready for your final birthday surprise?"
"Yes." Letty's grin broadened and she looked every bit of a delighted child on Christmas. Dominic briefly wondered if they had a daughter, would she look as endearing as Letty looked just then.
"I'm afraid I have to blindfold you." He pulled a satin scarf from the pocket of his pants.
"It won't be the first time, and something tells me, it won't be the last." She replied and turned her back to him, wordlessly permitting him to tie the blindfold around her eyes.
"Hold on to me. I won't lead you astray." He promise was low and close to her ear.
"I know."
Letty had no clue what he had planned, but the further they walked, the closer the crashing waves of the ocean sounded. Eventually, the hard pavement under her feet gave way to soft sand and Letty knew where they were. Warm, gentle wind whipped her hair across her face. Dom moved it away and suddenly they came to a halt.
"I'm going to sit you down now, okay?" Dominic told her.
"Okay."
He placed his hands on either of her biceps and helped her round a chair before guiding her down into it.
"Are you ready?"
"Yes."
The anticipation had gotten the best of her and she was struggling to suppress it. She felt Dominic removing the blindfold. She blinked, the sudden warm sunlight a little too much for her. But when her eyes adjusted, her heart began to pound. She looked around and her jaw dropped. Letty was sat at a stunning white wooden table, covered in beautiful white linens and decorated with crystal glasses, gorgeous chinaware and bountiful foods and bottles of wine.
But what really caused her heart to suddenly stop were the faces around the table. Her mom and Stasiak sat to her right. And just across from her—.
"Dad?" Letty choked out. Her eyes brimmed with tears. To his right, sat his wife and Letty's two half-sisters, Rhea and Aria. She hadn't met them in person yet. They'd FaceTimed once or twice, but this was… overwhelming.
"Dom." Letty stood from her seat, gripping his wrist for support. Her knees were wobbly and she wasn't entirely sure that she wouldn't pass out from the very shock of her family sitting before her. Together.
Her father stood as well and they started towards one another. When Letty reached him, tears were free-falling from both of their eyes. He pulled her into an embrace and held her tightly.
"You look so beautiful. Happy birthday, m'ija."
"Thanks, Dad."
"Let me introduce you to your sisters."
Rhea was already standing and Aria was right behind her. There really was no introduction necessary. Letty let go of her father and instantly, the three girls fell into each other's arms. The tears were abundant, but the love overflowed. When the girls pulled apart, Letty wiped her younger sisters' tears before turning to her stepmother. Letty didn't know much about her except her name was Paola and she'd been a good wife to her father. And that's all that really mattered in the end. So, she hugged her too and thanked her for coming. She made her way around the table, embracing Stasiak before standing in front of her mom.
They'd been through Hell and back, and while Letty wasn't proud of their past relationship, they could only move forward from here.
"Happy birthday, Letty. I'm so proud of who you've become."
Letty squeezed her mom tighter.
"Well, I don't know about you all, but I am starving. Tonight, the wonderful chefs from our villa have been generous enough to prepare all of Letty's favorite dishes. Shall we begin?" Dominic announced. He was met with nods of approval. Letty took her seat once more and Dominic sat beside her.
"I'll never forget this." Letty leaned over to tell him. "Thank you so much."
"Happy birthday, my love." He pressed his lips against hers.
Dinner on the beach with the sun setting behind the ocean and all of her nearest and dearest with her was the highlight of Letty's life. She'd never imagined that it would ever happen. By the time dessert was served, the last bit of the sun had disappeared and the moon ascended. The temperature cooled. Tiki torches were lit around their beautiful table setting, a small band played lively music and Letty was delirious with happiness. She was in an animated conversation with her mother when Dominic stood once again and tapped his fork against his champagne flute.
"I just want to say thank you all for flying out on a moment's notice to celebrate the birth of the love of my life."
A few 'aww's flew around the table.
"Leticia, thank you for coming into my life and pulling me out of my darkness into the bright, sweet light of your love. I had no idea what was going to happen to me that evening in my home office," Letty tossed a furtive glance at her parents, "but I'm glad it did. I have to admit, I had an alternate agenda for bringing everyone here." He sat his drink down and in a swift motion, Dominic was on one knee, pulling a small red box from his pocket.
Letty's eyes widened a fraction and her heart raced. "Dom—."
"I wanted everyone to be here. And I wanted to get your mother and father's blessings for me to ask you to be my wife, my partner, my love for a lifetime. Leticia Ortiz, will you marry me?"
Letty's tears were back full-force. A slight shake of her head to clear her mind. "You're crazy." She whispered.
"Is that a yes?" He asked, his expression a little nervous.
"Of course, it's a yes."
Dominic breathed a sigh of relief as he slipped an incredible prong-set, round-cut diamond engagement ring on her finger. Letty wrapped her arms around his neck and when he rose from the sand, Dominic brought her with him, her feet a few inches from the ground.
"I love you so much." He murmured into her neck, still hugging her tightly.
"I love you more." She kisses his cheek and then put her face back into his neck, squeezing him tighter. "Ride or die."
Not too much later, Letty and her father walked along the shoreline, the water advancing mere inches from their feet before receding back to its berth.
"For a long time I felt lost, Dad. Like a part of me would always desperately want something that was missing. I know now that I just wanted to love and be loved. Not necessarily just by Dominic. I wanted a family, people to call home."
"And does Dominic make you feel like that?"
"He does, but I still wanted you and Rhea and Aria, and even Paola. When my grandmother died, I feel like so did my only link to you guys. Mom never tried to get us all together. Although I guess part of that was my fault. I pushed her away."
"Letty, the choices we've made are in the past. All of them. I'd like to think that the ones we make now will keep us together in the future. I hope you will spend time with us when we all return to LA."
"I will."
"Good." He wrapped an arm around Letty's shoulder and squeezed as he guided her back towards the dinner table. "I'm so happy for you Letty. Dominic is a good man, but you will make him even better."
