John and Elsa time!

John hopped off his horse to greet Elsa. Whatever reason she had to be running through Arendelle at such an hour must be urgent.

"Your Highness? Is something wrong?" He asked as Elsa approached. Out of breath, she removed the hair from her face and shook her head.

"No, it's nothing bad. I just...I have to tell you something." She stared hopefully at John whose expression was warm and excepting.

"I'm going to be honest and truthful." She declared with a nod of her head.

"O-okay?" John gave her a puzzled look. Where was this going?

"Nothing but the truth!" Elsa pointed out. John noticed that she was getting pale and she seemed extremely confused.

"Truth, alright. I can take truth. Hey, is everything okay?" His expression became concerned as he followed her dazed eyes. With a shake of her head, Elsa returned to reality.

"Yes! Uh..no. I mean, yes, everything is okay! I just wanted to say..." This was it. She was going to say it. Tell him how she felt and that she lied to protect herself when she should have done the opposite. Five seconds of courage. She could do it. Just five seconds.

"Elsa, I need to get going if I want to reach the mountains by nightfall. Is it important?"

Courage was gone. Elsa's mind went blank. All she could stare at was that disappointed and impatient face that was John's. It was the face she put there when she rejected him. What came next were images of Anna alone, scared, and possibly hurt in the cold. Elsa hadn't rejected John for herself, she thought, she rejected him for her family. With a deep breath, Elsa regained composure.

"No, no it wasn't important. You're right. You should get going." With a nod, John turned back to his horse. Elsa couldn't help but notice yet another disappointed glance from him. When he claimed onto his horse, John turned back to look at the Queen.

"Don't worry your Majesty. I will find you sister and stop my brother. Even if it's the last thing I do. Everything will be fine." He smiled down at her. It was a warm smile, it reminded her of when they first met. When he taught her to dance and made her smile and laugh. The smile that showed when she forgave him for his lie. It was a smile she wanted to see again over and over. As John and his men started making their way down the path that led to the mountains, Elsa rethought everything she thought she knew. By the time John got to the kingdom walls, Elsa had decided that she would be damned if stopping Hans was the last thing he did. With a deep breath, she yelled out to him one more time.

"Whoa!" The ground shook a bit and the horses did a jump into the air. For the second time John turned around to find Elsa standing along the path. He wasn't about to get off his horse again if she was just going to mumble. So he sat there and watched her from fifty feet away.

"My answer is yes!" She yelled. Very much confused, he responded.

"Come again?!" He yelled back and eased his spooked horse.

"To your question! From last night! My answer is yes!" She replied. His question from last night. Think. Last night was something he'd rather not think about, but it wasn't as though he had much a choice if he wanted to get another fifty feet from her. Last night was dinner. Dinner with Elsa. Anna, volunteered to go save Anna. Feelings, he told her that he was falling for her and asked if she felt the same. Could that have been the question she was referring to?

Gathering what was left of his dignity, John climbed to the ground and made his way to Elsa. She too gathered himself and met her halfway. They met face to face and stood a good foot apart. Both gasped for air and stared at each other.

"Your answer is yes?" John asked with a tinge of hope in his voice.

"Yes." Elsa smiled and nodded. With her answer, John's face completely changed. The light in his eyes reappeared and his was smiling from ear to ear. She couldn't help but laugh as he pulled her into a tight embrace and she secured her arms around his neck when his wrapped around her waist.

"Truth?" He softly whispered into her ear followed by a smirk. Elsa nodded into his shoulder and held him tighter. After a few long moments, John pulled back just enough so he could look into her blue eyes.

"Say it." he requested in a quiet whisper.

"I think I'm falling for you too."
