Hey guys, I know the last two chapters have been really short, sorry about that, I've just been trying to make sure that I do update, and that you guys get to read some more. Sorry its been a while. I've just had a tonsilectomy and I've been really sick due to a bad reaction to the anaesthetic. So updating has been last on the list of things to do. Also, I'm back to school tomorrow so I can't promise that the next update will be soon either. So sorry. Please, please leave me an update, I really do like hearing your thoughts. Thank you.

A few days had passed since Zoe's op and the ward had finally discharged her. Nick, Eilidh and Jody went up to the ward to meet her and take her home.
"Hey you." Nick said, as they walked into her room, or, in Jody's case, bounded.
"Hi." Zoe said, giving him a quick snog.
"Hello mum!" Jody exclaimed and bounced over to hug Zoe.
"Hey sweetheart. How are you?" She asked.
"I'm good. You?" Zoe smiled.
"I'm absolutely fine."
"You ready to go sweetheart?" Nick asked.
"Yes. Will you carry the suitcase and I'll carry Eilidh?" She asked. Nick smiled widely.
"Of course. Lets get out of here. By the way, Sam is driving us home. Her and Jody say they have something to tell us, apparently its massive, so we're stopping off quickly en route so they can show us. Don't ask me, I don't know what its about." He shrugged.
"Um... Okay." She said.
"Yeah, somehow, that was my reaction too." They walked downstairs and met Sam at the entrance to the ED.
"You guys ready?" She said, taking Jody's hand. Which Zoe clocked, somehow, she had a feeling her and Nick weren't going to like whatever they were about to show/tell them.
"Yes. Lets go." Nick said. They all got in to Sam's car and she left the ED.
"Sam, I've brought my purse. Can we please stop some flowers?" Jody asked. Which nick and Zoe found incredibly weird.
"Of course we can Jodes, we've never gone empty handed before, remember?" Sam replied, which they found even weirder.
"I know." They stopped at the local florist, Jody bought a small bouquet, then got back in the car, which Sam drove to the local grave yard. Nick and Zoe were now getting worried, they thought this whole situation was out of it, and they could tell Sam and Jody had been keeping something from them.
"Mum, Dad, I'm sorry, but you're not going to like this. Jody said as she, Sam, Nick, Zoe and Eilidh made their way through the graveyard until jody stopped at a particular grave. With her eyes misting over, Jody bent and placed the flowers on the headstone.
"Hey Anna." She whispered, as she did so. "Miss you." She then stood and turned to Nick and Zoe.
"Well, I thought it was about time to actually tell you about Anna." She started. Sam took her hand for moral support.
"Jodes, what is this all about?" Zoe asked, worried about her.
"Well, Anna is by little sister. She was four when she died. She was murdered my biological uncle. She's the reason I didn't want you to read my diary. I pretty much raised her... She meant the world to me. But, like I said, she's quite obviously gone now. I didn't want you to worry, so I didn't tell you. But I told Sam instead." She finished. Zoe raised a shaky hand to her mouth, with tears in her eyes, all she said was,
"Oh Jodes. I'm so sorry."
"Don't be. Its been a while, I've learned to cope with it, not that it will ever be okay. But, with Eilidh here, I couldn't keep it secret anymore. I'm sorry. Now, for goodness sake I don't want you to use this as another reason to worry about me, thats not why I'm telling you. I'm just saying because, sometimes, when I'm playing with Eilidh, I remember Anna and it makes me sad. I'm sorry." She said. Zoe opened her arms, so Jody let go of Sam's hand and rushed into them. She gave her a massive hug, then turned to Sam.
"Thank you for helping me." She said.
"No problem at all, I'm just glad you've finally told them." She replied. Zoe looked up then.
"So, um... How long have you known Sam?" She asked.
"About a year. I'm sorry I didn't come and tell you, but I really thought that was something that she needed to talk to you about in her own time, which she has done. So I'm proud of her." Sam said to Zoe.
"I understand. I'm glad she opened up too." She replied, as they headed back to the car. Jody had hung back to say a quick goodbye to her sister, but she soon ran and caught up with them. They all piled back into Sam's car and she drove them the rest of the way home.
"Thanks for the lift Sam." Zoe said, giving her a quick, appreciative hug.
"Not a problem Zoe, get well soon, yeah?" She replied.
"Mm, yes, I hope so. Have a good afternoon Sam." She said. They waved as she drove away, and the hurried into the house, out of the cold.
