It was a little while later into the late afternoon and Irvine and Frederica were in Irvine's study room and Frederica had her brows furrowed and her tongue poking out, deep in concentration as she tried drawing her husband. She had her diary back from Joan just so she could draw him and she had to make sure it was perfect. She was a perfectionist and she hated getting things wrong first time round. "Nearly finished." She told him as she finished the last details on his moustache and pointy beard. It suited him. Many of the male teachers did have moustaches and one or two with beards, but none like Irvine's. It suited his character and personality and Frederica couldn't help but be fond of it. "Done."

"May I see?" He asked and Frederica moved to sit next to him on the sofa, showing her artwork and Irvine nodded in approval. "My dear, you never cease to amaze me with your talent. But are you sure I'm not as hideous as that?" He pointed to a sketch of the fourth doctor who appeared to be covered in cactuses on the opposite page. He couldn't help but frown at the man as though he knew the man was meant to be important to him. But why? Why was the man meant to be important to him and who exactly was he anyway?

Frederica laughed. "Don't get cheeky with me otherwise I will draw you like that. Besides, this is how I see you through my own eyes." She pointed towards her bright, emerald eyes.

Irvine brushed the side of her hair and they slowly leaned in towards each other before the two began to kiss. Frederica ran her hand through her husband's hair and Irvine deepened his kiss when they heard a rattle on the door and they both quickly broke apart, panting heavily and they saw Martha, eyes wide. "Martha! What have we told you about entering unannounced?" Irvine snapped, annoyed that Martha had interrupted a tender moment between his wife. Could he not share a moment alone without being interrupted by anyone with Freddie?

Martha didn't say anything, slightly hurt by the looks that the Time-Lord's were sending her and she quickly turned around and ran out before slamming it behind her and she leaned on the door, breathing heavily. "What am I to do?" She whispered, feeling her heart break.

It was a little while later that Martha finally had time to go back to the TARDIS. She told the TARDIS what happened and she felt so conflicted and confused. The Time-Lord's seemed so in love with each other in human form but yet, whilst they were Time-Lord's they never shared such sweet moments as these. She couldn't bear to break them apart. She honestly didn't have the heart to and she dreaded the moment when she would finally have to turn them back to their normal selves. What would happen then? Would Romana and Braxiatel love each other like they do now? Or would they all go back to normal where their relationship was totally platonic?

"And Five-our human-selves will act as a married couple. Do not let us do anything foolish that human couples do." Braxiatel told her sternly.

Martha scoffed. "That's no good. You've both already broken the rule and now you're trying to have babies! But Romana can't have them. You're both happy in this life and so in love with each other. What the hell am I supposed to do now?"

She once more fast-forwarded to the end where Romana was sitting alone in the chair. "Thank you." Romana told her before the camera froze again.

"You had to didn't you? You had to fall in love with each other as humans and try and start a family when you both know you can't. Why does it have to be my job to break you two apart?" She whispered, feeling hurt and the TARDIS sent her a gentle hum, trying to help her calm down and help her feel less distraught.

It was break time and Timothy was sat on a bent and toying with Mrs Lungbarrow's pocket watch in the school grounds. Her voice was different to the Mrs Lungbarrow he knew. More stern, more angry and more emotion and not necessarily always good emotion either. Her voice had much more power to the Mrs Lungbarrow that he knew and he wondered if Mr Lungbarrow's watch was exactly like Mrs Lungbarrow's. "Once again a prisoner...the ice man is with me...the last of the Time-Ladies, we are the last of a once wise and ancient race..." Mrs Lungbarrow's voice drifted away slightly and Timothy looked up to see Baine heading through the grounds to meet with Mr Clarke. Then he noticed a red balloon bobbing its way along on the other side of the wall and a little girl he didn't know joining them and all three of them turned at once to look at him at the exact same time. As one, they tilt their heads to the side curiously and sniffed deeply and Timothy knew that the their was something very bad and strange about the three of them and he couldn't help but stare at them, slightly scared by the way they were staring at him. He didn't like them but somehow he knew they were up to something evil.

It was late in the evening and Irvine was fastening his cuffs, waiting for Frederica to finish getting ready. He frowned, noticing the cuffs had slightly unusual circular designs and they were on his favourite crimson tie too, which he was currently wearing. He was wearing a simple evening suit, and his smartest black shoes with his pocket watch attached to his waist coat. He glimpsed himself in the mirror when he suddenly saw Irving Braxiatel staring right back at him with his cold facade and he jumped, stumbling slightly before he looked once more into the mirror. There was no Irving Braxiatel. Just him and he sighed, feeling slightly foolish and was glad that Frederica did not see him stumble otherwise that would have been an embarrassment. He fiddled with his pocket watch nervously, rolling it through his fingers before he heard Frederica clearing her throat and he turned around to see her smiling at him.

"How do I look?" She asked and she twirled around to show off the dress she wore. The dress was a long, deep crimson dress with a low scooped neck with crimson lace. Her sleeves were long and light and she had her hair done up slightly, done in strange curls that Irvine had never seen on any woman before but yet somehow it suited her and she wore a plain gold necklace to brighten it up with proper shoes that were suitable for dancing.

"Beautiful as always my dear." Irvine praised her and he gave her a kiss on the cheek. Frederica always looked beautiful. With or without clothes. She held immortal beauty. Always.

Frederica beamed at him and caressed his cheek gently with her thumb before frowning, noticing that something was wrong with him. "Irvine, what's wrong?"

"It's nothing." He shook his head and he threw an anxious glance back at the mirror before once again he started to fiddle with his pocket watch.

Frederica followed his gaze. "The mirror? What's the matter with the mirror?"

"It's nothing..." Irvine quickly shook his head, not wanting to let what he had just seen bother him or ruin his evening out with his wife. But it had disturbed him. It was as though Braxiatel was creeping slowly out into the mirror and was going to drag Irvine inside whilst Braxiatel roamed free. He didn't like it. Not one bit. "I just got distracted by myself is all. But now, you are all that I need to be distracted by."

Martha was making a pot of tea on an elaborate tray and she smiled, really happy with her treat of the evening. Being a maid, you rarely got any treats and treats like these were extremely rare and she really needed it after today with the Lungbarrows and the door opened and Jenny came in and Martha smiled brightly at her. "There you are! Come and look what I've got. Mr Poole didn't want his afternoon tea so cook said I could have it. And there's enough for two." She indicated towards the cake sitting on the table beside the pot of tea but Jenny was still standing there, staring at her. "What are you standing there for?" Jenny sniffed loudly. "Are you alright?" Martha requested, wondering if Jenny wasn't feeling well.

"I must have a cold coming on." Jenny responded quickly and she joined Martha sitting at the small table.

Martha couldn't help but feel there was something off about Jenny and it wasn't about Jenny's cold either. Something in Jenny's personality had seemed to had vanished but Martha didn't know what. She shrugged, thinking she was being paranoid about the family before she poured some tea for the both of them. "Problem is, I keep thinking about them but I don't know what to do." And it was true. She tried talking to the TARDIS about her situation but the TARDIS had been no help whatsoever. Merely humming or staying silent which is what it does best. Then again, the TARDIS was only a spaceship and it can only do so much. It wasn't like it was a real living person.

"Thinking about who?"

"Mr and Mrs Lungbarrow. They're going to be leaving in a few weeks and the relationship is never going to last after we leave the school. It was just all fall apart."

"Leave for where?" Jenny asked.

Martha couldn't help but not like the way Jenny was asking these questions. They were short and abrupt and this was never Jenny's typical behaviour and Jenny's tone seemed a lot more demanding then she had ever heard it before. Jenny was nice and cheery and always smiled but since Jenny arrived, Jenny didn't even smile once. "All sorts of places. I wish I could tell you Jenny, but it's complicated."

"In what way?"

Martha shook her head. "I just can't."

"It sounds so interesting. Tell me. Tell me now." Jenny demanded and she cocked her head to the side, her eyes wide.

That was when Martha knew there was something wrong with Jenny completely. Had the family possessed her? Or was the family using her as a disguise? Her heart began to pound and Martha tried not to show her fear as she gave a tight smile towards Jenny. "Would you like me to get some gravy? I could also get some mutton. Or sardines and jam. How about that?"

Jenny inched forwards slightly, her eyes narrowing and her mouth pulling up into a slight smirk. "I like the sound of that."

"Right...hold on a tick." Martha told her and she carefully got up and moved towards the door before closing it on her way out. She carefully descended the stairs before running down them and Martha headed out of the building just as Jenny fired at her, narrowly missing her and Martha gave a little scream of fright before running as quick as she could towards the Lungbarrow rooms as fast as she could.

Frederica and Irvine were sharing a loving kiss which was quickly broken as the door bursts open without warning and a breathless and terrified Martha runs in, followed in closely by Joan who had heard Martha running up the stairs and wondering what all the racket was about.

"They've found us." Martha panted, trying to get her breathe back. How? How had they found them! And so near their time of death as well! Only a few months and the they've could have been free. But no, the family just had to find them so soon didn't they?

"Martha, how many times do I have to warn you?" Irvine fumed, his jaw clenching. Again! How dare his servant interrupt them! She needed lessons in manners! And soon! "And you, Joan!"

"Martha! Where are your manners? Running up the stairs and now this?" Joan tsked at her.

Martha ignored her and walked over to Frederica."They've found us and I've seen them. They look like people, like normal people but they are not. But I'm sorry Mr and Mrs Lungbarrow, but you both have to open your pocket watches. Right now." She rambled and she looked towards Irvine who had his pocket watch before she looked over to the mantelpiece where Frederica kept hers but Martha noticed the watch had gone missing and she started to panic. She moved pieces of paper away, in search of the watch. "Where is it?" She panicked. "Oh my god, Frederica, where's your watch?"

Frederica helped Martha to look for the watch. Why was Martha so eager for it? She didn't need it. Not right now. "Martha, it's just a pocket watch that Irvine gave me when we got married. If it's lost, it'll bound to turn up somewhere. I do not need it right now. You need some rest Martha."

"No. You need it! You both need your pocket watches right now!" Martha cried frantically, turning to face them. "And Irvine didn't give them to you as wedding presents! You stored them back in the TARDIS all those years ago! You told me!" She pointed at Frederica and Irvine frowned at the word TARDIS, as though he recognised it and the word began to repeat itself in his head over and over again before he felt a headache coming on.

Frederica narrowed her eyes slightly. "Martha! This is ridiculous!"

"Martha, we've warned you, you know. We done nothing but treated you with kindness. This is no way for you to show your respect towards us!" Irvine reprehended.

Martha turned around to face them, moving closer to the Time-Lord's. "But we need both pocket watches! You have yours but where is Frederica's?! Oh my god, Romana, Braxiatel! We're hiding from aliens and they've got Jenny and they've possessed her or copied her or something and either of you have to got to tell me where Romana'swatch is! Not only that, I've just been shot at by bloody lasers by Jenny herself!"

"Martha...you do know all those stories I and my husband speak of are just what we call stories right?" Frederica told her softly, trying to calm her friend down. "Romana and Braxiatel do not exist. They are merely fairytale characters. I can always look for the pocket watch the next day-"

Martha gritted her teeth. "Oh...THIS!" She waved her fingers to indicate between the Time-Lord's. "Is not the Romanadvoratrelundar or the Irving Braxiatel that I know. This is 1913."

"Oh is it 1913? I've never realized." Irvine retorted sarcastically.

"I'm sorry, but I really have to do this." She snatched the pocket watch from Irvine before slapping Frederica hard across the face, leaving a slight red mark and Martha couldn't help but feel slightly guilty but she didn't know how else to wake up Romana or Braxiatel. Martha knew that if Frederica was Romana, Romana would have caught her by the wrist in no time. But this was not Romana but Frederica who was nothing but a weak and very self-conscious woman.

"Martha!" Irvine shouted, outraged at the way Martha treated his wife. Frederica was the one that showed the most kindness towards Martha and know Martha was treating her like this? How dare she! How dare she throw away all of Frederica's kindness out of the window and treat them like as if they were Martha's enemies.

"Oh, for god's sake! The pair of you! You are both coming back to the TARDIS with me! The TARDIS needs you both and so do I!" Martha shouted, not giving back Irvine his pocket back and she made to grab both of their hands and drag them out of their room. She needed them. She was scared. She was alone and she didn't know what the hell to do anymore. She just wanted both Time-Lord's back.

"How dare you hit my wife! She has been nothing but kind to you Martha and you have been in my family for quite some time but you are now dismissed. You will leave these premises immediately. Now get the hell out of my way!" Irvine snarled and grabbed Martha's hand, grabbing back his pocket watch before dragging her outside by the wrist harshly and throwing her out and slamming the door behind her. Martha closed her eyes, breathing deeply and she tried to not let the tears well up before she ran back to the TARDIS.

Irvine shook his head before he went to make sure his wife was okay and he tried to control his temper. "The nerve of our servant! Pah!" He ran a hand through his hair, annoyed before he attached his pocket watch back to his waistcoat. "How dare she!"

Joan was cradling Frederica before looking over to the mantelpiece, frowning slightly. "But the funny thing is, Frederica did have a fob watch right there the other day." She commented. Exactly like the one that Irvine has and Joan couldn't help but feel like Martha was speaking some sort of truth towards the strange, mad and impossible couple.

Martha ran all the way back to the TARDIS, not even stopping for breath and she felt tears welling up in her eyes and she closed the TARDIS door before going over to Romana's long mauve coat and Irving's favourite jacket before rummaging through their pockets, looking for something, anything, that will help Irvine and Frederica remember who they really were. She had to bring them back. She hated it and she couldn't stay like this any longer. Not anymore.

After ensuring that Frederica was unhurt and had Joan do a check on her, Irvine and his wife arrived at the village hall arm in arm a bit later when they were going to arrive and Frederica sighed. "Martha's infatuated. Am I really that much of a dangerous woman?" Was it really her fault that got Martha so rifled up about a silly old pocket watch?

"Well, you have taken my arm in public." Irvine replied as they walked up the steps to the village hall. "So, I should be feeling slightly scared by my own wife." They both laughed, not seeing Timothy hiding around a corner of the building.

"Spare a penny for the veterans of the Crimea, sir?" An old man asked, outside the entrance of the village hall.

"Yes of course." He digs into his pocket before pulling out a few coins. He had more than enough. Actually, back in the school he was the richest man there. He could practically buy the whole school if he wished too but he didn't. He had no need for it. "There you are and goodnight." He and Frederica went into the warmth of the room.

"Oh, this is marvellous! Joan was right, this is splendid!" Frederica commented, cheering up slightly and she put her shawl on a nearby chair as well as her purse and noticed a few people already getting up on the dance floor.

Irvine held out his hand for his wife before bowing slightly. "My lady, would you care to dance with me for this next waltz?"

"Of course!" Frederica smiled and she and Irvine got prepared on the dance floor, waiting for the announcement to start.

"Ladies and gentlemen! Please take your partners for a waltz!" The announcement asked and the music began to play and the people began to dance on the dance floor.

Frederica beamed at Irvine. "We haven't lost our dancing skills!" She was definitely feeling a lot cheerier than she had when she left the school. She was in such a low mood after the fight with Martha that she thought of not wanting to go to the dance at all but Irvine insisted that she was the one that wanted to go in the first place and it would take her mind off what happened with Martha.

"Why Mrs Lungbarrow, did you doubt we did?" Irvine asked, his eyes showing mischief.

Frederica laughed before they accidently bumped into another pair. "Sorry!"

After they had their waltz, Frederica requested if they could have a drink and she was sitting down at their table and was smiling, feeling slightly happier when Martha sat down in Irvine's place and her smile faltered. "Martha, please. I'm not in the mood to speak to you right now."

"Perhaps slapping you was wrong," Martha admitted as she sat down. "And not the way to wake you or Irvine up. But in a way, you're lucky because you do not have to wake up alone. You have each other to wake up too. In those dreams and stories you both speak off, they all hold some form off truth. Where do stories come from in the first place? They have to be placed on real events somewhere."

"Martha..." Frederica sighed tiredly, resting her chin on her hands. She just wanted a nice evening out with her husband. An evening away from the school and undisturbed. Was that too much to ask for?

"You know it's true. I know that Irvine has the same sort of dreams as well even if he doesn't want to admit them. I'm not trying to be rude, but do you remember your wedding at all? Who turned up to your wedding? Where did it take place? Or do you even know the actual reason why you cannot get pregnant?" Martha pressed.

"You turned up to our wedding." Frederica reminded her but yet she couldn't help but sound slightly unsure. "And of course I do! I have an illness that prevents me from having children. It's a horrible illness and not one I wish to bore on any other female."

"Apart from me that turned up to your wedding." Martha replied, looking slightly sad. "Think Fred. Why bits and pieces of your memory not clear to you and are nothing more than a blur? Or why the Irvine your dreams is not married to your Romana? You even dreamt of me and Irvine and you at one point. Do you remember?"

As Frederica was about to reply, Irvine had approached them with one glass of whisky and white wine and looked none to pleased to see Martha there. "Martha." He growled. "First you slapped my wife, then you tried to rob my fob watch. All in one evening. I must insist you leave our sight at once."

Martha held out both sonic screwdrivers in each of her palms. She held the sonic pen towards Irvine and the sleek, thin sonic screwdriver towards Frederica and she looked at each of them sternly. "Do you both know what either of these are? Name them. Go on, name them."

Frederica and Irvine shared an uneasy glance with each other, wondering why Martha was doing this when it was meant to be their free night together. Frederica took her sonic screwdriver first, looking at it with a confused expression on her face before Irvine took his sonic pen and he rolled it between his fingers. Somehow, the strange little object fitted perfectly between his fingers as though it was somehow made for him. Martha looked at them both sternly. "You are not Mr and Mrs Lungbarrow. You are called Romanadvoratrelundar and you are called Irving Braxiatel. The people from your dreams and the people from your diary are real because all of they are each Frederica and Irvine Lungbarrow in another life."

Suddenly, there was a loud bang and a gust of wind entered the hall and farmer Clarke entered the hall followed by Baines, Jenny and a bunch of scarecrow's. Clarke held a gun in his hand and knocked over a hat stand as he strolled in and people shrieked and moved away from him, realizing he was armed. "There will be silence! All of you!" The scarecrow's began to file in after them, waiting for orders. "I said silence!" Clarke demanded and the hall fell silent at once on his command.

Irvine moved to protect Frederica and had his arms wrapped around her waist, pulling her in towards his chest and she looked towards Clarke with horror. Just what did the man think he was doing? This was absurd!

"Mr Clarke! What's going on?" The announcer shouted, unable to believe what is happening but Clarke turned and fired at the announcer, making him dissolve into nothing. Frederica moved her hand to stifle a shriek, looking at him with wide-eyes.

Martha turned to them, look at them both with an alarmed expression. "Mr and Mrs Lungbarrow, everything I told you, just forget it! Don't say anything." She knew that if the family knew they were here then all hope was lost. But that didn't mean Martha couldn't quickly cover up their tracks.

Baines looked at her sharply. "We asked for silence! Now then. We have a few questions for Mr and Mrs Lungbarrow."

"No, better than that." A little girl spoke and she skipped over to Baine and Clarke and smirked as though she was with them on the plan and that made Frederica's blood went cold. Adults could be horrible when in charge of violence, but children? Children could do the worst damage of all. "The nurse and the teacher. She's Romanadvoratrelundar and he's Irving Braxiatel. I heard them talking."

Baines looked surprised at the Time-Lord's. At last! They had found them both but not in the way they were expecting. They have been tracking them for so long but with limited resources, it was hard to track down Time-Lord technology. "You both took human form."

Irvine scoffed, unfazed by his pupil. No doubt he had been drinking to much alcohol that he had found somewhere and Irvine new that once they got back to school, Baines would be punished severely. "Took human form? We are nothing but human. What you, Mr Clarke and Jenny are doing is totally inhuman!"

"And human brains too! Simple, thick and dull."

Jenny shook her head, slightly disappointed. "They're no good like this."

"We need a Time-Lady and a Time-Lord." Clarke demanded.

"Easily done." Baines sneered and he stepped forward and raised his gun and aimed it at Frederica and Irvine. Irvine quickly puts himself forward, shielding his wife away from any harm and the crowd gasps as Frederica recoiled slightly. Irvine would willingly sacrifice himself if that meant his wife could live. His wife meant the world to him and she was too young to die whereas he was too old. "Change back."

"I don't know what you are talking about. But no one points a weapon at my wife. No one!" Irvine snapped.

"Change back!"

"We don't know!" Frederica sobbed. What were they talking about? Changing back? They were talking nonsense and it was making her very confused and upset. "We don't know what you are talking about. We are human. Romana is just this anti-hero I've dreamt up! Nothing more! She doesn't exist!"

But they had enough. Jenny grabbed Martha tightly by the wrists, holding a gun to her head and Martha screamed. "Get of me!" Martha struggled to break free but the grip was to tight.

"She's your friend isn't she? Doesn't this scare you enough to change either of you back?" Jenny sneered as she pointed the gun at Martha's head.

"What do you mean? Change back into what?" Irvine growled, his fists and jaw clenching. "Because I'm certainly changing into something and it's not something pleasant!"

"Then we'll take an innocent!" Clarke barked and he grabbed a young woman from the crowd and she shrieked, looking terrified at having being dragged into this.

"Have you enjoyed it Mr and Mrs Lungbarrow?" Baines asked as he looked between Frederica and Irvine with an evil gleam in his eye. "Being human? I wonder, has it taught either of you anything? Even you Romana?" He snapped before he raised the gun at them."Which one of them do you want us to kill? Maid or the citizen? Friend or a nobody? Your choice, Time-Lord and Time-Lady. Your choice."
