'I mean, he's not been a Conduit as long as we have and he hasn't been imprisoned, so I don't think he understands what me, you or Eugene has been through.'

'I hear you. I don't know what they did you , but what they did to me was no cake walk.'

'You said they put you in a coma or something?'

'Yeah 'cause I kept attacking their staff. It made doing their experiments a lot easier too when I was unconscious.'

Fetch and Cat were walking back to the Lantern District to hopefully find Delsin. Fetch had sent him a text message a little while ago and he still hadn't replied by then so they thought they would give it a little longer for him to reply before they started worrying. The girls stopped by a fast food van that was parked up on a street corner and bought a few cheese burgers and some cans of Coke.

'See it's even stuff like this.' Fetch said as she held up the cheeseburger she had in the hand before she pulled off the paper it was wrapped in.

'Oh don't talk to me about food.' Caterina replied. 'I got the same thing over and over again at the institute it got really old really fast.'

'Yeah we had basic food. It was boring. Hey! We're out now, we can eat all the bad stuff we like now!' Fetch exclaimed.

'Oh what was the first thing you wanted when you got back to the city?' Cat asked Fetch as they both munched away on their cheese burgers.

'Seafood Chowder. What did you want?'

'Everything! Haha nahh I wanted Mexican food more than anything. Ugh it was awesome when I got it.' Caterina said.

'Well Delsin still hasn't texted back.' Fetch said as she glanced at her phone before she carried on eating her burger. She looked over at Cat who had nearly all finished hers and was trying to cram the last bite in to her mouth. 'Hey you're gonna give yourself indigestion eating that quick!' Fetch cackled at her.

Caterina chewed for a moment before she swallowed the last of her cheese burger. 'I don't care. I want all the food and I want it now.'

The girls eventually found themselves sat on the kerb outside Nex Jen in Rainer, not that far from Eugene's hideout where they had the idea of lingering around for a while; just in case Delsin had gone to see Eugene and had forgot to call them. They chatted for a little while about anything and everything; mainly girl stuff.

'I wish I didn't have to dye my hair so much.' Said Fetch. 'I just want it to stay this colour.'

'Mine is this colour. Now at least.' Caterina said. 'It was black. But one of the procedures I had turned it red for some reason.'

'That's pretty weird.' Said Fetch who was now sipping away at the can of Coke she had bought.

'The whole thing was pretty weird. I'm full of other Conduits DNA and Stem Cells and other gross stuff. So I'm not surprised that this happened.' Cat said as she pointed to her hair.

As soon as Caterina stopped talking, Fetch's phone started to ring. She pulled the phone out of her pocket and answered the call.

'Hey D, where the hell are you?' She said.

'I'm outside Eugene's place. Why where are you?'

'We're over here dumbass!' Fetch shouted as she hung up the call. Delsin was stood barely thirty yards away from them. He shoved his phone back in his pocket and ran over to join the two girls.

'I see you two are friends now?' Delsin asked the girls who just looked at each other.

'Well it seems like we're more alike than we thought. Why wouldn't we be friends?' Fetch retorted.

Delsin rolled his eyes thinking back to not very long ago when the girls were hurling abuse at each other. Women were so weird and fickle sometimes.

'Anyway I'd better go, got stuff to do.' Fetch said as she stood up from the kerb. 'Call me next time you go cause some trouble.'

'Sure thing fetch.' Delsin replied.

'And Cat, we'll go shopping together sometime. How about it?'

'That sounds good.' Cat replied.

'Great. I'll see you guys around.'

'See you later.' Delsin and Caterina said in unison. Delsin eventually sat down beside Cat.

'She's not so bad.' He said to her as they watched Fetch run off.

'Yeah, it took an argument for us to sort of settle our differences.' Cat said.

'Well I'm glad we're all on the same page now. The four of us should be able to take down these DUPE assholes without breaking a sweat.' Delsin grinned. 'You wanna head back now? I gotta put my phone on charge then call Reggie.'

'Yeah sure. In fact, I bought a phone earlier and put it on charge. It should be done. '

Delsin and Caterina got back to the apartment and did what they needed to do. Delsin put his phone on charge then went for a shower in the meantime whilst Caterina changed in to her shirt and began messing with the coffee machine. She topped it up with water and changed the filter; filling it up with fresh coffee grounds. Whilst she waited for the machine to work, Caterina went over to the freezer and pulled out a few empty ice cube trays that had been left in there with nothing in them. She filled the trays with water out of the kitchen sink tap and stood them neatly inside the freezer before she shoved her own head in there for a few minutes just to cool down and recharge a little bit. After that, she wanted something to do. Cat grabbed her phone off the kitchen worktop where it had been left to charge and turned it on. She sat herself down on the sofa and turned on the TV for some background noise as she fiddle about with the smartphone. Delsin had only just walked out of the shower and over to where his phone was charging, wearing only a towel wrapped round his waist. Caterina was too engrossed in her new phone to even notice.

'Hey bro. call me when you get this.'

Delsin rang his brother but got through to his voicemail. He put the phone back down to leave it to charge a bit more then made his way in to his room to change in to some clean clothes. He glanced at Caterina who was scrunching her face up as she tried to figure out how to use her phone. A few seconds later after Delsin had found some clean clothes to wear, he heard that the volume on the TV had been turned up quite a bit. He quickly got dressed and stuck his head out through the door to find Caterina jumping from the sofa to the coffee table and back, singing at the top of her voice to Summer Nights. She had gotten bored with her phone and found Grease on the TV. He tried not to laugh as he watched Cat who was attempting to dance and sing along with the film but couldn't do either all that well.

'Tell me more tell me more! Was it love at first sight? Tell me more tell me more! Did she put up a fight?'

Caterina shuffled and shimmied as she joined in with the film on the TV and sang as loud as she could. It wasn't until she tried spinning on the coffee table that she saw Delsin with a huge grin on his face as he watched her. He had to laugh even more when she did a strange half-fall half-dive off the coffee table on to the couch.

'Haha are you okay down there?' Delsin said as he peeked over the sofa back to find Cat in a crumpled mess, covering her face with her hands.

'Oh my God I'm so embarrassed!' She squealed. 'I didn't know you were watching!'

'Don't be! I was having fun watching you.'

Caterina let out a small smile and blushed at Delsin's remark.

'You want coffee? The jug's full now.' Delsin asked Cat.

'Yeah, please.'

Caterina searched around for her phone on the sofa as she had thrown it down when she got bored of it. Delsin had filled two cups of coffee and put them down on the coffee table before sitting down on the sofa with Cat. They watched the film for a little bit. Caterina had stretched her legs out and had rested her heels on the coffee table in front of her as she messed around with her phone a bit more; letting out the occasional tutting sound and groan every so often.

'Something wrong?' Delsin asked her as he scooted closer to see what she was doing with her phone.

'I can't get to grips with the camera thingy.' Cat mumbled as she pressed buttons on the screen. Delsin reached over and pressed one of the buttons for her, taking the phone in to its picture gallery.

'Press that one if you wanna look at what you've taken.' He said as he looked at the photos she had taken. They all seemed to be rather blurry photos of her feet.

'Oh, okay.' Caterina said. 'What's this one for?' She continued as she pointed at the on-screen button before she pressed it. She let out an audible "ugh" noise as she saw her own face appear on the screen.

'That's the reverse camera so you can take selfies. Here watch.' Said Delsin. He squished his face against Caterina's and pressed the button to take a photo which popped up on screen. Delsin had a huge grin in the photo and Caterina had one eye shut along with a half-smile.

'Aw hey that's pretty good!' She exclaimed as she looked at the photo. Delsin was still squished up against her and didn't seem to be moving. Caterina slowly turned to her side and found herself face to face with Delsin who appeared to be frozen in place. He blinked his eyes a few times when he realised where he was only to attempt talking.

'I.. I'm.' Delsin stuttered. He never even got a chance to get his words out. Caterina had laid a gentle quick kiss on his lips preventing him from saying any more. He blinked heavily a few times again as he focused on Caterina whose eyes had turned wide as she looked at him, both inches away from each other. They drew closer together and kissed again for a few moments before they were rudely interrupted.

'AHH REGGIE!' Delsin growled as he heard his phone going off.

Caterina giggled a bit as Delsin left her side to go and answer his phone. 'You better get that.' She said as Delsin sighed as he walked over to the counter where his phone was plugged in.

Caterina had to feel her lips. Normally her skin was quite cold to the touch, but her lips still had the warmth of Delsin's kiss on them. She ran her index finger across her bottom lip, not quite sure if that had just happened. It did. Her heart was going at a mile a minute. She had no idea what possessed her to kiss him first but she had to admit that she enjoyed it. She sat for a while just watching Delsin talk to his brother on the phone and smiled to herself.
