Speak now
Oliver had to work what she just had said a few times before he actually realized what she just had said. And he just couldn't let that happen. He hurried over to the prison guard on the other side of the bars separating them.
''Get him back here.'' He demanded.
''I'm sorry Sir, but visiting hour is over.'' The guard replied.
''I don't care! This is an emergency, get him back here now!'' Oliver hissed angrily. The guard backed away slightly and eyes Oliver carefully before disappeared and Oliver went back to Zandra.
''You want to go to the wedding?'' He asked.
''Yes, I do. Right now.'' She replied and dug around into her purse aggressively.
''Why?''
''Because I just have to be there, okay?'' Zandra raised her hands up above her head and panted heavily.
''Zandra, you're not planning to do what I think you are?'' But this was a completely point-less question, because they both knew why. It didn't make it even less outrageous though.
''What?'' They both turned around and came face to face with Nick who was being let back inside, watching both of them carefully with his blonde eyebrows frowned. Zandra sighed and buried her face into her palms.
''Zandra wants to crash Paris's wedding.'' Oliver said and walked over to Nick's side. Nick turned to look at her, with that stern look of his.
''And I won't be talked out of it.'' Zandra said with burning cheeks and brushed a lock of hair that had escaped from her ponytail.
Paris and Chel took each other by the hand and smiled at the other before turning back to the minister.
While standing next to Paris, Jack tried to catch Breanna's eyes. But she had her eyes everywhere except on him, trying to forget that he even existed.
Tulio made eyes at Paris during the entire ceremony, gagging inside every time he spoke or looked at Chel. He would love to know what went on in the mind of his. Maybe his thoughts where on something entire different place, or someone else. But Amazonia made sure that he kept his mouth shut.
Unlike Tulio, even though he understood where Tulio was coming from, Riven supported this marriage. He even gave a short speech to the bride and groom. Paris was a lucky man, and how could he not agree? He also suggested that now Chel probably had to trade in her ball gowns for an apron, a joke of course. But he also advised Paris that when Chel sets her mind on something…just give in. Because there is no way you're changing it. She was the best sister, and she would be a knock-out wife and amazing mother. But most importantly he didn't forget to mention that he loved her.
Spencer also had a few things to say. He told Chel that she was the complete package, and everything he could ever want in a daughter-in-law. How proud he was of Paris and the man that he was. And the two of them together, now that's a power-couple. A couple that he was very comfortable about caring the Lestrange legacy forward.
Last, and certainly the most emotional was Topaz. She would never get that image out of her head from when Chel would have been ten, and some of Eldorado's most important and riches men and women had been visiting, and she had charged in after Riven and managed to get her brother into a head-lock after he had cut off the hair of her favorite doll. It had taken both of her parents to pull her off. Chel and Riven exchanged looks and grinned at the memory. Yes, she had always been unique. Her unique Chelsea.
Zandra sighed at sat back down by the table and buried her face into her palms. Nick and Oliver exchanged looks before Nick went over to sit down opposite her.
''Zan, this is not a good idea.'' Nick said. Zandra looked back up at him and glared at him angrily.
''Why? Because I might embarrass myself?'' Zandra spat back sarcastically and flew back up from her seat making the chair fall over.
''Trust me, it can't be worse than having Chel rushing in announcing her pregnancy.'' She added and leaned against the wall and crossed her arms over her chest.
''Maybe so, but what is it going to accomplish by rushing in there.'' Nick asked and looked up at her.
''I don't know Nick!'' Zandra snorted. She turned to look away for a second before looking back at her brother.
''Maybe I just want to look Paris in the eyes as he exchanges his vows to Chel.'' She hissed. Nick shook his head.
''No, you don't want that.'' He replied her. Zandra frowned her eyebrows slightly and her chin fell slightly.
''So after everything they have done to us, you just want me to sit back and take it?'' She spat. Zandra was not really the person that allowed for people to trample all over her. And lately, she disliked it even more.
''No! But I don't want you to fight my battles.'' He spat back at her and slammed his fist into the table. Zandra's chin fell to the floor.
''You admit it! It is a battle.'' She whimpered and put both of her hands onto her head. Nick put his hands onto his thinning waist and locked down onto the floor. Zandra let out a mixture of a gasp and exhale.
''It's them versus us?'' She whispered and looked at them, slightly gobsmacked. She couldn't believe that it had come to this. Because she knew, that from now on the only side she would stand on if it came to it, it was Nick's.
The guard came back and walked inside the area they stood in.
''Time's up.'' He said with a deep voice. Oliver was about to ask for five more minutes, but decided against it since they had already earned more time than usually.
Zandra and Nick hugged goodbye before she was on her way out. Oliver was about to follow her, but Nick grabbed him by his shoulder. He turned to face him and Oliver's light-blue eyes meet Nick's grey ones.
''Take care of her, alright? You promise?'' Nick asked. Oliver didn't hesitate.
''I promise.'' He added. Nick nodded his head and gave Oliver a pat on the back before he was being escorted back to his cell. Oliver watched as Nick disappeared through the doors before he followed Zandra.
Back at the wedding, there was almost not one single dry eye. And when it was time for the vowes, things only got downhill from there.
Paris promised to treasure her, and he would never let a day go by when he didn't tell, or even more importantly show her, how much she meant to him. Because today he would, gladly, give himself to her. Tulio rolled his eyes.
He slide the silver band onto her finger. Chel dried a tear from her cheek before turning around to Breanna giving her the bouquet and taking the ring before turning back to Paris again.
Between tears she told him how he had saved her life, literally, but in so many other ways. She would always put his need before her own and she gave everything that she was to him. She was his, and his alone.
She slide the simple silver band onto his finger before taking his hand in hers and they both turned back to the minister.
''This young couple have decided to join each other and become one. They have sworn to live and be faithful to one and another for the rest of their lives. In the presence of these witnesses, I've the honor to pronounce you husband and wife. You can now kiss your bride.'' The minister said with a smile.
And Paris didn't need to be told twice. He grabbed her face and kissed her passionately not only once, or twice, but again and again. Musa, Riven and all of the other guests stood up and clapped their hands with huge smiles onto their faces, well almost everyone.
As the sun started to set behind the horizon in distance, the palace started to fill up with wedding guests from all of the realms. Everyone excited to see and congratulate the bride and groom.
Breanna on the other hand sought her way over to the open bar and took her seat. Sure she was happy for Paris and Chel. Even though they hadn't known each other for a very long time, Paris and Breanna where cousins after all. But at the time being she didn't really like seeing anyone being so blissfully happy when she herself was feeling so miserable.
She took a big sip from her wine glass and rested her elbow at the bar disk. When she had seen that text from Kimberly by accident, she reacted differently than she first believe she would. Jack had apparently meant more to her than she first thought.
''One glass of champagne please.'' A voice came from her right and she looked to see a young woman with lime-green hair and dark green eyes. Fiona took a seat onto the stool next to Breanna and placed her clutch onto the counter.
''Actually, make that a bottle.'' She added and rested one of her elbows onto the counter and placed her chin into her palm before letting out a deep sigh.
Somehow she seemed familiar to her, but she couldn't 't figure out why. Then she remembered. She was at the wedding. For a second Breanna decided to leave it out and drown her sorrows in peace. But for some reason she couldn't help but turning around and look at her.
''Great wedding right?'' She said. Fiona turned around to face her and frowned her eyebrows as to ask if it was her she was talking to.
''Yeah, the ceremony was beautiful.'' Fiona replied and took a sip from her champagne glass.
''I'm sorry, I don't think I caught your name.'' She added. Breanna reached her hand out to her.
''Breanna Deveraux, I'm Paris's cousin.'' Breanna said as she shook Fiona's hand. Fiona looked confused for a second before remembering what Musa had told her about Paris's family showing up.
''Oh. Fiona Valentine, friend to the family.'' Fiona smiled before finishing the last drops from her glass before filling up again.
''Excuse me if I'm stepping out of the line here, but if I didn't know better I would say that you are doing the same as me.'' Breanna said and raised her eyebrows.
''Drowning my sorrows?'' Fiona asked and filled up her glass for the third time. Breanna nodded. Fiona took a sip and sighed deeply before turning around and looked out to the dance floor for a second before quickly turning back.
''Yeah well it's a lot more pleasant than to see the man you love whisper sweet words into his pregnant wife's ear.'' Fiona said and finished her third glass. Breanna looked around for a moment and her eyes fell onto Tulio holding Amazonia close in his embrace and planted small kisses all over her face.
''You! It's you who used to date Tulio.'' Breanna exclaimed. Fiona nodded her head as she tried to pour the last drops of champagne bottle into her glass.
''What about you? Who are trying to forget?'' She asked and looked at Breanna. She knew that she couldn't tell her the truth. Even if it was over between them, no one could know about her and Jack.
''It's complicated.'' She managed to say before seeing Jack coming towards her from the corner of her eye.
''Well the entire universe is filled with strong handsome available guys, just take your pick.'' Breanna said in a loud voice as Jack got closer, and when he stopped onto the other side of Fiona she could see the anger and hurt in his eyes.
''Should you really be drinking?'' He hissed at her.
''I'm just having a drink with my new friend here.'' Breanna spat back at him.
''And besides, alcohol was never an issue for me.'' She added in a cold voice and drank from her glass. Jack stomped away angrily and Breanna watched as he disappeared into the crowd.
''How about another drink?'' Breanna smiled and wrapped her arm around Fiona's shoulder, earning a half-drunken smile from her.
When Zandra and Oliver finally got back to the ranch, they were both exhausted. They walked inside her study and Zandra dropped her purse at the desk before throwing herself into her chair and sighed.
''I guess I should thank you.'' She mumbled quietly and looked down into her lap. Oliver smiled slightly as he sat down opposite her.
''Don't worry about it.'' He replied her.
''No, you were right. It would have caused a scene and I wouldn't have hurt anyone else but myself.''
''At least they would have known you were there.'' He grinned slightly and frowned his eyebrows. Zandra laughed.
''Damn right they would.'' She said and grinned herself. She knew that it was for the best, but she would have liked to see their faces if she had.
''In fact.'' She said and got up, walked over to the serving cart and poured up two glasses with a clear liquid.
''Let's make a toast.'' She added and walked back. Giving Oliver one glass before taking her place behind the desk again.
''To Paris and Chel.'' She began and thought for a second.
''May they have a long and boring marriage.'' They clinked their glasses together as they both laughed and drank.
As the night went on, people seemed to enjoy the party more and more. And some of those were Fiona and Breanna. The two girl had seemed to really hit it off. And after many more glasses of champagne, cocktails and one or two shots later, they were drunk.
Yes, they were defiantly completely wasted both of them. However so far they seemed to manage fine in their high heels and long dresses. Seriously, not even a wobble.
At the moment, they both of them stood together with two other young men. Giggling, laughing, twirling their hair and batting their eyelashes. Jack, who had made sure to stay completely sober the entire night except for a sip of champagne during Chel's and Paris's toast, was close to grab the nearest whiskey bottle and smash the head of the guy who had his arm wrapped around Breanna's shoulders. But he resisted the temptation and kept his calm.
''Maybe it's time for her to go home.'' Paris said as he and Chel walked over to Jack and looked over at Breanna. Jack couldn't agree more and he walked together with Paris over at them.
''Come on, party's over. Let's get you home.'' Paris smiled over at Breanna, who frowned her eyebrows.
''What?'' She asked.
''I can take her. I haven't had a drink all night.'' Jack said as his eyes locked on Breanna.
''Well that won't be necessary.'' The guy with his arms wrapped around Breanna's small bare shoulders said with a smirk as he pulled her closer to him.
''Because she's going home with me.'' He added. Jack think he deserved a medal for not punching him in the face right there.
''I don't think so.'' Paris said.
''Hold on. I'm an adult, I'm completely capable to make my own decision.'' Breanna hissed angrily. But she barely didn't have any time to finish before Jack had lost his patience and took a hold of Breanna's arm and started to drag her along with him out of the throne-room.
''What are you doing? Who do you think you are?'' Breanna hissed angrily as she was being dragged outside the palace. Probably on Paris's orders, a car had been parked right outside and waited for them. One of the palace soldiers gave Jack the keys and bowed before disappearing inside.
''You know I can have you kicked out from the mansion in a second if I wanted to.'' Breanna hissed as she was being shuffled into the passenger seat.
''Yeah you do that.'' Jack replied her as the slammed the door shut and walked around and got in on the driver's side and drove off. Because he knew that she would thank him in the morning.
On their way back to the beach-house, neither Jack or Breanna said a thing to the other. And before they knew it, they slowly drove down the small road through the forest leading to the beach-house, and parked outside.
''We're here.'' Jack said as he shut the engine off before looking over at Breanna in the passenger seat, only to find her fast asleep. A smile grew across his lips and he took the house key from her purse and stepped out of the car and walked over to unlock the front door. He opened the door and walked back to the car and carefully got her out, picked her up and carried her inside and upstairs into her bedroom.
He laid her onto the bed and placed a blanket over her before going back downstairs to shut and lock the front door again. He might as well stay here for the night. So he stripped off his uniform jacket and shirt and laid down onto the couch and soon he himself drifted off to sleep. Tomorrow he was going to set everything right again.
It was late at night, or very early morning when Chel and Paris finally arrived at their destination. Surrounded by tall peaky mountains laid a two floor cottage, completely isolated from everyone else. They where only about an hour away from the capital, but you could think they were by the other side of the planet.
Chel stepped out of the car and walked over and up onto the porch. About twenty meters to her right she saw a small lake and a waterfall coming from the mountains. Paris came over to her with their bags.
''So, what do you think?'' He asked as he placed the suit-cases onto the deck as he reached down into his pocket and pulled out a pair of keys.
''I love it.'' Chel smiled and looked around as she ran her hand up and down onto one of the wooden pillars. Then she saw the wooden sigh with carved letters spelling CAUDILLO COTTAGE.
''We own this?'' She asked, slightly surprised. Paris nodded as he turned the key and opened the front-door with glass windows.
''Leon built this years ago as a vacation home, but I haven't been here in ages.'' He said as the both stepped into the living room. Onto one of the short side walls there was a fireplace, in the middle of the room was a two-seat couch and two arm-chairs.
Chel wrapped her arms around Paris's waist and tiptoed to kiss him.
''I did good?'' Paris whispered in between kisses. Chel chuckled and playfully twirled his dark brown hair around her index finger.
''My husband did good.'' She purred and kissed him again. Husband. Paris was actually her husband! After a lot of ups and downs, now here they were, married.
''You know what? It's been a long day, how about we go to bed?'' He whispered.
''What if I'm not tired?'' She said in a seductive voice.
''I know a few other things we could do.'' He smirked and raised one of his eyebrows. Chel's lips turned into a smirk as well.
''Really? Well, then let me just go an freshen up first.'' She said as she took her purse before kissing him one last time.
''Through the kitchen and down the hallway.'' Paris said and watched as she walked away. He smiled and shook his head slightly while letting out a deep and satisfied sigh.
He was about to go back outside to take the bags inside when he felt a buzz into his pocket. He took out his cell-phone and looked at it. What he saw on the screen made his wedding bliss disappear and was replaced with guilt.
Congratulations. This where the word that stood under Zandra's name. For a second he decided not to send her a replay, but then he thought of how hard it must have been for her to type every single letter and actually press send. He eventually typed the word 'Thanks' and pressed send.
Alright, here it's guys. Chel and Paris getting hitched, and everything went on smoothly how about that?
Breanna and Fiona? Am I the only one who can smell a 'bromance' in the making? And what about Breanna's threats towards Jack, would she actually give their secret away?
Next time, Amazonia, Tulio, Musa and Riven stumbles on someone unexpected. Chel and Paris enjoys life as newlyweds. Oliver comes to the rescue of a young girl. Breanna fantasies about her possible future, and Jack get's an unexpected visitor.
