It was finally time. The last banquet of the year. The seventh year students were graduating and leaving Hogwarts. All the students from all the houses gathered around in the Great Hall to celebrate. James was sitting in the Gryffindor table, across from his girlfriend. As Headmaster Collins made his final year announcements, James slightly leaned towards Allyson.

"Pst, hey Allyson. You know what I'm thinking this very moment?"

"Do I really want to know?" She chuckled.

"I'm thinking about our sorting ceremony. That's when we first met. Do you remember when we first met?" James said lovingly as he stared into her beautiful blue eyes.

"How could I forget?" She added in a sigh.

"I was sorted into Gryffindor first and then you followed. You sat right across from me and I showed you how charming and smooth James Potter could be." James said as he wagged both eyebrows.

"Charming? The moment I sat down you said to me 'Hey, I'm James Potter.' And after I told you my name you said 'You really must be magical, because I've fallen under your spell. Wanna go out with me?' And as soon as I heard that I switched seats in disgust and went out of my way to avoid you." She said as she rolled her eyes.

"But hey, you couldn't resist me for long…"

"No… no I couldn't. And I'm really glad I gave in." Allyson said as she looked at James giving her that smile that drives her mad.

James then noticed that the headmaster was starting to conclude his speech. This was it. It was time.

"Let us celebrate the end of another successful school year-"

"WAIT! I got something I wanna say." James said raising his hand and standing on top of the table.

"James, what are you doing?" Allyson whispered in a mixture of confusion and shock.

"You'll see my lovely Allyson…" He whispered back.

He looked up and scanned the faces of all the students in the Great Hall. He looked to all of his family who looked back to him with reassuring smiles. He looked over to Teddy in the professor's table. Teddy crossed his arms and winked at the young Potter. James clapped his hands and rubbed them as he cleared his throat.

"Before I leave Hogwarts I want to just say a few things… A few years ago when I was a first year at Hogwarts something magical happened, something that changed my life. That was the day I first laid eyes on the most beautiful, enchanting, and breath-taking girl I'd ever seen in my life. And after unsuccessfully trying to win her over with a cheesy pick up line I spent year after year trying to get her to go out with me. Finally after insisting over and over again she finally gave in to my irresistible charm. And now that we're together I can easily say that she's the best thing that has ever happened to me, I have been madly in love with since I was 11 years old, and I really believe that we were meant to be together."

Allyson held her breath as James glanced down to her and began jumping down from the table. James took Allyson's hand. She stood up and silently followed him to the front of the hall. All the students remained silent, patiently waiting to see what was going to happen. Once they got to the front, James took a hold of both of Allyson's hands. He kept his focus on both of her hands as he closed his eyes and took a deep breath. He looked up to her eyes and gave her his irresistible smile.

"The first time I tried to ask you out with a corny pick up line. So… Are you a golden snitch? Because I've been seeking for something like you my whole life…" James chuckled.

Allyson laughed when she heard James' cheesy line. He quickly let go of her hands and took a step back. He then proceeded to dig into his robes and pull out the small red box. When he pulled out the box he immediately fell down on one knee before her. Allyson gasped and quickly brought both of her hands up to her lips.

"…Allyson Emily Evans, would you do me the huge honor of becoming Mrs. James Sirius Potter?" James said looking up hopefully at her.

She looked down to James with tear filled eyes. She started laughing as she nodded excitedly.

"YES!" She exclaimed happily at the top of her lungs.

James smiled widely as he got back up. He took the ring out of the box. Then he casually threw it over his shoulder as he strode towards Allyson with a smirk. He gently took her left hand and slipped the ring into her finger. She then quickly wrapped her arms around his neck and he wrapped his arms around her waist. They kiss, earning the roaring cheers of their classmates. Suddenly Albus, Scorpius and Fred jumped up on their tables and raised their wands up in the air. But it wasn't just them. Rose, Hugo, Louis, Dominique, Cedric Corner, Katie Corner, Roxie, Jen Quinn, Lily, Molly, and Lucy got up on their tables and pointed their wands upwards. Even Teddy stood up from his seat at the professor's tables and took his wand out. Then everybody in unison let out sparks from their wands. The cheers of all the students became wilder. While a bit alarmed by what was going on the professors and the headmaster still clapped for the newly engaged couple and the pyrotechnics displayed by the big family. James and Allyson embraced as they looked on to the sparks flying across the hall. Their time in Hogwarts may have come to a close, but all of their adventures were still far from over.

Author's Note:

And this concludes Legacy: Mischief Managed, one of the first stories that I have written. This story was a whole lot of fun to write. Now I'm going to be moving on to finishing my other Harry Potter story 'Family Bond' and the sequel to this story Legacy: This is War.
