Halloween
DISCLAIMER AND CHARACTER OWNERSHIP: same as always
"Seriously, why are women's costumes only sexy things? Sexy cat, sexy witch, sexy nurse⦠can we not just dress up as a cat, witch or nurse that's not sexy?" Kensi drawled, looking through a costume rack with Deeks at her side.
"I'm not complaining about the added sexy factor Kensilina. In my mind, that's one of the best parts about Halloween." Deeks commented, trying on surgeon's cap, eyeing himself critically and then tossing it aside. "There are too many choices! I don't know what to pick!"
Kensi pinched the bridge of her nose, counted to ten and turned toward her husband. "Why don't you go as something totally ironic? Like a cop."
Deeks' face morphed into a look of pure confusion before a grin appeared seconds later, "Excellent idea, wifey. I will go as a cop, I just hope that they have a costume in my size."
"You don't have your LAPD uniform? Are you actually serious?" Kensi laughed, her eyes tearing in mirth.
"I did undercover work usually, Kensi, so why would I keep that uniform? And to be honest with you, it's not all that flattering." Deeks responded, rolling his eyes as Kensi sorted with laughter. "It's not that funny Kens."
Gasping for breath, Kensi managed to re-gain some control of herself before answering, "Trust me, it totally is." She made her way down the aisle, turning around the corner and finding another display of costumes. Nothing stood out, nothing was eye-catching, and nothing was meant for her. Kensi had just resigned that she might as well go dressed as a NCIS Special Agent when a lilac dress caught her eye: the lilac dress from Titanic, which Rose had worn during the flying scene. Running towards the dress, Kensi discovered that it came with ballet flats and a replica of the butterfly clips, which would adorn her hair. Smiling to herself, she grabbed the entire costume and walked over to her husband, "Forget being a cop Deeks. Do you still have that Jack Dawson outfit?"

"I'm going to be dressed up as a doctor. Classic, timeless and most of all, simple." Katie told Wyatt, digging through her drawers and pulling out her favorite dark blue scrubs in triumph.
"Not a chance in hell Catherine." Wyatt grinned, snatching the clothes from her hands and darting out of his girlfriend's room. "You're a doctor in training every day of your life. And next June, you will be a doctor for the rest of your life."
"You did not just do that." Katie stated, looking at Wyatt in complete disbelief. "I have nothing else to wear. Because of classes and all the stress that is school, I haven't had a chance to go to a costume score, and it's Halloween, tonight."
"Well lucky for you my dear, I am clairvoyant. I knew you would be wrapped up in everything, so I took the prerogative to ask Deeks what costume you never wore as a child but always wanted to. And so, armed with such useful information, I went to the costume store and bought you a lovely angel costume, viola." Wyatt beamed, pulling out a shimmering white dress, angel wings and a halo from his backpack and presenting them to Katie, who remained frozen for a second before pulling him into a kiss.
"Thank you." Katie breathed, before pulling away from the younger Beale, leaving the air around him smelling of her vanilla body butter. "It's absolutely beautiful. And I have these white flats that Nell have me that will go perfect with the dress."
"I'm embarrassed to say that I know that fact," Wyatt admitted sheepishly, "but let's keep that between us, alright gorgeous?"
"That sounds fair," Katie reasoned, "besides it can't be worse than Marty knowing the exact day within each month to buy Kensi the entire ice cream section of the grocery store. Oh, damn, I did not just tell you that."
"Your secret is safe with me." Wyatt smiled, tucking a loose strand of brown hair behind her ear. "I love you, you know that?"
"I love you too." Katie affirmed, her cheeks flushing. "Hey, you haven't told me what your costume is Wyatt?"
Grinning to himself, Wyatt pulled out another costume, causing Katie to gasp. "I know it is Princesses that have Prince Charming, but I figured that even angels need a Prince every now and again."

Agent G Callen was not amused, not in the slightest. G Callen, the famed NCIS undercover agent, was dressed as Professor Lupin for the second time in his life. "Hailey, I'm going to be straight with you kid, this is the last time I'm wearing this outfit."
"Okay Uncle G." Hailey answered, fixing her Gryffindor tie in the mirror, not evening bothering to throw Callen a spare glance.
"I'm serious Hailey." Callen told her, trying to gain some control of the situation by directing his gaze upon hers as she focused on her reflection, trying to emulate Hermione Granger.
"Relax G, it's just a Halloween outfit." Sam declared, strolling into the living room in a Dumbledore costume, "It's not like this is the first time you've ever worn a wizard costume."
"Daddy!" Hailey shrieked, whipping around and throwing Sam a very scorned look, "I told you never to say that I told you that."
"This is why your Daddy could never join the CIA." Michelle stated, fixing her McGonagall costume, "He cannot keep a secret to save his life."
"That's not why they wouldn't let me join." Sam muttered, looking immensely put out by Callen's laughter. "You're still a wizard for the second time in your life."

Eric Beale was rather worried, or perhaps he was now borderline agitated. The hacker still wasn't able to figure out how exactly he got roped into helping Nell decorate OSP. At the present moment, all Eric knew was that he was standing on a rather unstable ladder, trying to hang the last of the spider webs through the banisters along the stairs.
"Don't forget the toy spiders!" Nell called from the top floor, her glittering red heels casting flickering lights across the room. Perhaps Nell's Dorothy dress and red heels did sway him into a more agreeable mindset. Maybe. "You still have to get dressed Eric! That scarecrow costume is classic!"
"On it, Nell." Eric replied, swinging the last web on the banister and stepping off the ladder as quickly as possible. "Just so you know, this outfit is much better than that witch costume you were eyeing before."
"Really? And here I thought you'd like a long black dress with no shape whatsoever vs. a short blue gingham dress and glittering heels. Clearly, I was way off." Nell smirked, picking off a spider web from Eric's arm, causing his skin to tingle. "I also seem not be in Kansas anymore, maybe you can help me, good sir?"
"It would be my pleasure." Eric said, bowing slightly, kissing her hand and running off to change into his costume.
"Do try to keep this party civil, Ms. Jones. I'd hate for the cleaning staff to quit, they are such nice people." Hetty affirmed, appearing next to Nell as if by magic, holding a cup of jasmine tea in her hands.
"Are you not staying Hetty?" Nell questioned, looking thoroughly puzzled at her mentor.
"I'll be watching from afar." Hetty promised, before beckoning Nell closer, "I suspect Mr. Callen or Mr. Deeks would mention the necessity of a costume, which would most likely be a munchkin. And that, Ms. Jones, is not something that I consider to be a suitable costume."

Hours later, the party was still going strong. All of the OSP agents had unanimously voted that Kensi and Deeks were dressed as the Best Couple, causing Deeks to steal the microphone from the karaoke station and break into a long-winded speech about how flattered and shocked he was to even be nominated, before Kensi dragged him off the stage.
"Admit it Sam, you're enjoying this." Michelle teased, watching Hailey dance around with some of the other children. "You like dressing up and pretending to be someone different."
"I'm not admitting to anything." Sam countered, before locking eyes with Michelle. "I can't risk G finding that out. He already thinks I'm insane for not eating street food."
"He's on to something, a hot dog won't kill you." Michelle stated, rolling her eyes at her husband.
"Maybe not right away, but give it time." Sam grinned, holding out his hand for his wife to join him for a dance.
Meanwhile, Kensi was sitting at a nearby table, nursing a beer and waiting for Deeks to return from the bathroom, when suddenly a rather inebriated Katie stumbled by. "Whoa Katie, you alright?"
"Totally alright." Katie stated while vigorously nodding her head, causing her halo to fall off. "Oops, my bad Kensi."
"Are you sure you're alright Katie? You usually stick to a few drinks, plus you can hold your liquor. I've never seen you so out of control."
"It's seriously all good. Wyatt bought the wrong thing though." Katie said drunkenly, sitting in an empty chair. "The costume should be opposite."
"How's that?" Kensi inquired, at a complete loss to the younger girl's current mindset.
"Should be a dark angel." Katie told the brunette, before standing up, wobbling slightly and walking away. "I'm going to find Wyatt. Tell Marty I said good night."
Kensi sat frozen in her seat, her mind in complete confusion over the conversation she just experienced. Minutes later, Deeks appeared, causing her to jump in her seat. "I just had the weirdest talk with Katie."
"Weird in what way?" Deeks questioned, fixing his jacket slightly and wrapping his arm around his wife, who snuggled into his embrace.
"First off, she was horribly drunk. And then she said that Wyatt should have gotten her a dark angel costume. It was odd." Kensi informed the detective, who ran a hand through his blond hair.
"Maybe she wanted to channel some rocker vibes?" Deeks voiced, his voice not sounding at all convinced. "I'll talk to her later, sort things out. But for right now, would you do me the honor of this dance Rose?"
"I would love to Jack." Kensi smiled, and taking his hand, she fell into his soothing embrace.

Hi all! I'm SO sorry I haven't updated in a while. I got sick AGAIN! I swear I have no luck this year when it comes to colds. I thought I'd make this chapter longer than usual, just to make it up to you guys. Who loved Kensi and Deeks undercover this week? I especially loved Deeks' alias Matthew, absolutely hilarious.
