A/N: Hey readers :) I know, I'm way past due for an update, but I was again busy with other stories, my high school sport, and just recently a pretty bad illness. Oh yeah, and the longest and most stubborn writer's block :/ But, I'm back, and hopefully better than ever ;D
Part 1: Chapter 29

SMASH!
CRASH!
BOOM!
All of these noises, combined with screaming, made me sit up straight in my apartment bed, all the sleep wiped from my eyes to be replaced with the utmost alertness.
What the hell was going on?!
Rising from out of bed, I quickly padded over to the window and opened the shutters...to see utter chaos.
Several buildings were on fire, with spectators throwing bricks and stones into the windows. Other citizens were running with pure terror written on their faces, especially the women and children. And then, there were the police...who did absolutely nothing.
What's happening?!
Then it hit me. The other day some of the other men were talking about a 'small riot' that could happen soon against the Jewish people. I figured it was all some stupid rumor, but I guess it was sort of true.
After all, this was certainly not a 'small riot.'
And now, I've got to do something.
Transforming into my ghostly alter ego, I intangibly exited the apartment and hovered over the terror-stricken streets.
First things first, put out the fires.
Despite all the amazing things I could do with my powers, I just couldn't shoot water out of my hands. I could fly, shoot energy beams, turn invisible, walk through walls, duplicate myself...yet I had no water powers.
Well, I did have ice.
I've been working on my ice abilities for awhile now, tonight may just be the most opportune time to try them out.
Closing my eyes with a long exhale, I rubbed my palms together. Next, I conjured the icy energy in my veins, blue smoke started to emit from my hands. Opening my now blue eyes, I thrust out my hands and encased the building with the freezing air.
Thankfully, the flames began to dwindle, until soon there was nothing left except for black soot and holes from where the fires were.
"Hey, du!" Hey, you!
Distracted, I turned my gaze to the ground to see the line of police officers.
"Kümmere dich um deine eigenen Angelegenheiten, ja? Lassen Sie das Feuer allein!" Mind your own business, will you? Leave the fires alone!
I couldn't believe these people! Well, actually, I can. They stood idly by and let this happen, after all.
"Die Sicherheit der Menschen ist mein Geschäft." The safety of the people is my business. I spat.
"Dies ist für die Sicherheit der Menschen! Jetzt gehen!" This is for the safety of the people! Now leave! The officer returned.
Deciding that arguing with them would be useless, I took to flying around the streets away from them, trying to help in any way that I could.
"Lass mich in Ruhe, bitte!" Leave me alone, please! I heard a woman yell.
Landing on the sidewalk, I crept over to a store building, one that wasn't on fire. A woman, who looked a few years older than me, was cowering on the side of the brick wall, with two men leering down at her.
"Ich möchte nur einen kleinen Vorgeschmack." I just want a little taste. The first man sneered.
"Ja, ich höre Sie Jude Huren immer geben." Yeah, I hear you Jew whores always provide. The second smirked cruelly.
I grit my teeth together in anger at the way they were treating this poor woman. It was bad enough that they were calling her a whore and mocking her religion, she was completely terrified!
I couldn't let them take advantage of her like that. I hovered invisibly closer to the scene. When I was within striking distance, I reappeared, slamming my fist into the side of the first man's face, he quickly slunk to the ground knocked out. The second barely had time to register what was happening before my knee slammed into his abdomen. Moaning, he dropped like his companion.
"Bist du in Ordnung?" Are you okay? I asked her gently.
She stared at me in shock, blonde strands covering her face, partially hiding frightened green eyes. "Ja, bin ich. Aber wer sind Sie?" Yes, I am. But who are you?
"Ich bin Phantom, ich bin hier, um zu helfen." I'm Phantom, I'm here to help. I replied earnestly.
A slow smile spread across her pink lips. "Danke." Thank you.
I nodded. "Bitte. Jetzt beeilen und nach Hause komme, ist es gefährlich hier draußen." You're welcome. Now hurry and get home, it's dangerous out here.
She nodded hurriedly and took off down the street. Turning a corner, she vanished from my view. I hoped she would be okay.
That night was one of the most stressful of my entire life. From about midnight until three a.m., I helped save many people, and managed to prevent several shops and buildings from burning to the ground. Sometimes I even had to hold up the walls to prevent them from collapsing. It was exhausting.
The fire department did absolute shit to help. Instead of fighting the fires directly, they prevented surrounding buildings from burning up. I managed to hold back energy balls aimed at their faces.
Of course many officers and firemen screamed at me to leave, however they were all overshadowed in my mind with the many smiles and thank-yous I've received as well. They insisted that I was their hero.
Hero...the word made me feel bigger than what I actually am. It felt too big for me. When I first heard it, I fought back a blush and stressed that I was only trying to help. But when more and more people said it, I just smiled and took the compliment.
I couldn't be everywhere at once, even though I can duplicate myself. This meant that synagogues and Jewish shops were now turned into ash, and many people were arrested, beaten, spat on, etc. I hated myself for not being quicker.
Later, I would learn that history branded a name for this horrific night: Kristallnacht. Or, better known as, The Night of Broken Glass.
A/N: I'll admit, I wasn't quite sure of what to write. My main plot was to have Danny help out the Jewish people on that night, but my mind just kept focusing on the point, and not on any ideas. Nevertheless, I hope you liked it :)
Invader Johnny: Yes, I do know, which is a big reason of why I think he was pretty useless. Hitler was such an obvious threat and he did absolutely nothing about it, he only had that appeasement and even then he was, in my opinion, made a fool of. A reason of why I like Churchill is because he WAS a man of action, he realized that Hitler was dangerous and actually did something about it. As for your Amorpho idea, I really like it! :) I'll definately keep it in mind! But for the Fright Knight, as of now I have no more plans for him. He was just sort of a cameo.
Sammyangel: Pops is dead, I'm sorry :( I'd rather he'd die of a heart attack than in a concentration camp. As for updating, I'll try to do so quicker :)
He23t: The idea has been going around in my head for awhile, along with Roosevelt making an appearance as well. I have no idea of how that'd play out, but I'll try to get them in.
The Writer Es: Glad you liked the cameo! :D
DanDrake: Thank you!
Cookieplzandthnx: Thanks for understanding. Also, many bad things are going to happen soon :( However, Danny will have Sam and Tucker to talk to in Part 3 :)
