Chapter 29

Liana was being dragged through the corridors of the castle ruins, whilst attempting to make conversation with the guard sent to her door.

"So…" she chirped, "this is going to be my castle?" She looked up to the man on her left, his long blonde hair was caked in mud and grease, his teeth almost as brown as his clothing, with a stench which can only be compared to a pig sty.

"No." he replied, letting so much spit spray from his mouth that Liana had to dodge.

"Well that is where I'm going to correct you." Liana stopped dead and stared up at him. He swung round to face her, towering at least a foot over her. "When I marry your sovereign lord…hmmm…what's his name?"

Irritation crept over the man's face, "Geren!"

"Ahhh, that's the guy. Well when I marry him, I become the Queen of this apparent castle, and land (if it can be so called). Meaning that eventually you will be taking orders from me…correct?" She smirked, whilst looking the man up and down, glancing for a weapon of some kind, and then she spotted it.

Of course, I would get the guard who carries a battle-axe…why not a dagger, or even an enchanted twig? At least I can wield those, but a battle-axe…not a chance! But I must try, or else I'm going to become Queen of Desolate Land.

Liana looked this man square in the face, his boxish face littered in sweat and grime looming over her, and without hesitation lunged for his axe which swung by his left leg. Her movement was too slow, and her dress sleeve was caught easily by her assailant. Pulling her arm back as swiftly as possible, the sleeve of her wedding dress ripped apart.

Liana looked down, and mockingly said, "Why sir we've only just met, and you're not my type." With force she forced foot up the man's legs and into his crotch, causing him to cry out in pain and falling to the floor.

That was a lot easier than I thought. Why didn't I do that to Geren earlier? She thought as she ripped off the rest of her wedding dress, and running off down the corridor in order to find Merlin.
