I'll just leave this here...

At that moment the world had gone still. Everything around him had stood still, him and Skye, Val and Luciana, and his brother. Then, as quickly as the moment had started it had ended. Tommy focused in on the two guards in front of him. He narrowed his vision and clenched his fist; commanding the shadows around him, to close in. He was angry, he was tired, but most of all he was scared. Everything he had built in the past two years was crumbling down around him. That one sentence Val had said just destroy, practically, a lifetime of work.

Tommy tightened his jaw and willed the shadows to surround him and Skye. Then, in an act out of pure rage, he thrust his hands forward. The shadows obeyed his command and shot towards Luciana and Val. They ensnared them, wrapping around them like ropes. He watched as they turned stiff, struggling against the constricting bonds of the shadows. He then moved his hands to the side of his body and commanded the shadows to bring Luciana and Val to their knees.

They did so with much resistance and, both letting out grunts of pain as they landed. He could feel his anger consuming him. Tommy knew that he should stop. There was something there, a part of him, that didn't want to. A part that he was ashamed to admit was winning out, a part of him that was bigger than he let on. He had spent the better part of the last two years of his life running away from that part of him. Maybe he couldn't though, maybe this was who he was always supposed to be. He and Skye had tried so hard to run from that part of themselves. The part that took pleasure in hurting others and those around them. The part that was never truly human but something more. He was taught at Afterlife that the Inhuman race was made to be ruthless warriors. Soldiers in a war for the Kree. Killing machines with no thoughts or emotions. A disposable army with gifts. He had always laughed it off but as he watched Val and Luciana he could help but think.

He watched them wither in pain. He could see their faces start to lose color as the shadows slowly drained them of life. He thought that maybe that primal part of him, the ancient soldier part, was as gone as he thought it was. That a part of him reverted to that stage whenever he overused his powers or when the emotions were too much. Maybe, deep down, all Inhumans still held that primal killing instinct.

Tommy would have kept going. He would have watched the life to continue to drain out of Luciana and Val. He would of if it wasn't for the hand that Skye put on his shoulder. He unclenched his fist from his side and looked ahead at the trio. The only person on the other side that was still standing was Henley. She was standing still brown hair pulled back into a braid unlike it usually freestyle. Her blue-green eyes staring at him with confusion and recognition. The last time he had seen her she looked happy and healthy. Now, she just looked unwell and lost.

He took a step forward towards her reaching out a hand as he did so. Henley instantly took a step back trying to gain some distance from him. He looked down to her side to see that one of her hands was reaching for something. A weapon he guessed. It was the only thing that made sense at a time like this. Tommy could feel his eyes well up as he saw the fear in her eyes. Fear that he had caused her.

The fear that Luciana and Val had planted there.

Tommy turned his attention back to them. He used his slight power of telekinesis to push them back. It didn't work though because he was too slow. Luciana had taken the push and redirected it towards him and Skye. He could already tell that it was more powerful than the one he had sent them. Fueled with more rage and anger as her wild brown eyes glaring at them.

Skye had jumped in front of him and put a force field. Something that slightly surprised him due to the fact that he didn't know she could even do that. Tommy also had a feeling that Skye hadn't even known that she could do that. The force field had blocked the attack but caused them to be pushed slightly back. Tommy heard a light gasp and he looked to the side to see that Skye was struggling to keep the force field up. He thought that it just surrounded him and Skye but as he looked over he saw that she was covering everyone but the trio. Including her time.

The attacks then began right after the other. Each one just as brutal as the next and each on causing more and more strain on Skye. She then turned her head towards him, well actually, it was more like her looking over him. She craned her neck to see that the team still standing there looking well in shock at what was happening. Skye then turned towards him and hardened her gaze. Tommy gave her a silent question and she nodded her head.

"Go!" She shouted while scrunching her face in pain from another attack, "I'll hold them off. Just keep them safe."

Tommy nodded his head and had to pull himself from his state of shock. This was not a time to be afraid. This was not the time to freak out. This was a time of action. He left the safe confines of Skye's side and sprinted towards the team. He reached out his arms and grabbed Coulson's shoulder while the other one grabbed onto a sobbing blonde's. Quickly shouting out, "Hold your breath!" As he plunged them all into the shadows. He really hopes that they held their breath. If they didn't then they were about to get the shock of their life. Well, more so then they already had. He has a feeling that some of these people have already had enough of a shock to last a lifetime.

Feeling the shadows wrapping around them, creating a safety blanket. He thought of the first place that these people would want to go. So, he imagined the stupid, unreasonably, big plane that they always stayed on. He had found it once without any help, hopefully, he could find it again. He wove his way through the different areas of darkness and shadows. Different areas manifesting themselves before him. It wasn't until he pictured himself standing out in front of the plane did an image finally start to take place. He waited until the image was clear enough before stepping through the shadows again taking everyone with him.

When everyone's bodies had reformed again he all heard a collective gasp for air. He rolled his eyes, guess they didn't take his advice after all. He turned around to see that most of them were hunched over. Grasping at their sides of their throats like they had just come up for water after almost drowning. The only person who was not in this position was Fitz, who was just hugging himself looking unsure of what to do.

Tommy gave them a couple seconds to gather themselves. He watched them as their reality came crashing down on them. It wasn't until everyone's eyes were on him did he say something. He smiled guiltily at them and he tried to calm his racing heart. He's never had to deal with his secret with this many people before. Letting out a huff of a laugh Tommy raised an eyebrow, "I'm guessing none of you held your breath?" He asked.

Judging by the death glares that were being sent his way. That obviously had not been the thing to say. He then noticed the hysterical blonde who still seemed to be crying. Guessing that she was not apart of the team. Tommy took hold of her shadow and willed it to stop crying and go to sleep. A few seconds later the woman collapsed to the floor, with Coulson barely catching her in time. The said man who caught her glared at him, "What did you do to her?" He demanded.

He held up a finger to reply but stopped as soon as he felt a stabbing pain in his chest. Tommy put a hand to his heart and looked off to the side. Even though he couldn't see her Tommy knew that Skye was growing tired and needed his help.

He quickly turned back to the team, "Stay." He told them as if they were dogs, "Don't move, whatever you do, just don't fucking get off this plane." Tommy was about to run back into the shadows he only stopped because of his name being yelled.

Tommy turned around to see that Grant had called out his name. He saw as Grant took him in and Tommy nodded his head as if answers his silent question. Then there was something else in his eyes, "Don't move." He said again, "Just don't move and don't look back no matter what you hear."

"Is everything alright?" Fitz asked and Tommy turned towards him.

Tommy gulped and tried to hold back his emotions. How could he tell him something was going to be alright when it obviously wasn't? How could he tell his brother, who he had not seen in years, that he was probably never going to see him again after this? That this might be the last interaction they would ever have together.

Tommy then met Fitz's faze. "Just stay here."

The balls on this man. Two years, two years, that's how long this fucker takes to call her back. Two years to confirm what she already knew. Thomas Ward was alive. This was common knowledge people who knew Tommy. The only person who had confirmed information was Skye. Now, Skye would never confirm to her that Tommy was still alive. But, judging by how Skye was still alive and not totally depressed or on a rampage. Kiera figured out fairly quickly that Tommy was still alive and kicking. It was also the fact that they were somehow connected. That she could still feel apart of herself tied with Tommy.

So, Kiera waited…and waited…and kept fucking waiting for the bastard to come back. For him to call her and ask for her help. Except, he never did. In two years he had never called her. No birthday card, no text, no call. Nothing. Nothing that even told her that he was alright. However, that changed as of two minutes ago.

She could feel Tommy calling out for her. It was like a nagging voice in the back of her head. A pull in her gut that told her to go towards him, towards Tommy. It was something that she tried to fight. But, the feeling was too strong to fight and her desire to help him out was still too strong. Even if he had upset her and pissed her off Kiera still cared for him. He had given her a new life even when she never asked for one. She owed him this much.

Kiera dashed over to her closet and threw open the door, lunging for the trunk in the back. It had been a while since she had last used her Bo staff. Once she took a hold of it though, it was like every memory had come back. Her muscles still remembered how to use it. Her hands were still familiar with the form of steel staff. It was like nothing had changed.

She heard a door slam open and Kiera turned her head towards the sound. She swore slightly under her breath when she heard the telltale signs of Squeaks coming back home. Getting up she walked out of her bedroom and back into the living room to see the young teenager reading a book on the couch. Squeaks looked up and immediately knew something was wrong. Whether it was her powers or by just knowing her, Kiera didn't know.

"What's wrong?" She asked putting down the book.

"Tommy needs my help." Kiera said ignoring the slightly shocked look coming from Squeaks, "And I'm going to help him."

Squeaks got to her feet, "Let me come with you!" she shouted.

"No, you could get hurt."

Squeaks only rolled her eyes, "I may not know how to fight but I'm not completely useless in one, you know."

Kiera let out a sigh of frustration and then defeat, "Alright," She motioned for Squeaks to come over, "Get over here."

The girl let out a happy squeak and grabbed onto her shoulder. She could feel the jitteriness coming off of her. She was ready for a fight, but Kiera was pretty sure that she wasn't ready to be in a fight. Kiera shook her head and cleared her mind. She focused only on the tugging sensation that wanted her to be brought close to Tommy. She focused on him, she visualized his face, his smile, his clothes, his laugh. Every detail that she could remember about him she thought about.

Here's the thing. Kiera was never good with long distance shadow-traveling. But, she was even worse by blindly throwing herself into the shadows. While not knowing where they were going to spit her out at. As she was immersed deeper and deeper into the shadows she could begin seeing multiple images taking shape in front of her. Different places that she was not familiar with, the sound of cars and people walking.

Then it was there. His stupid voice, it was guiding her through the shadows and towards him. As she honed in on that voice the image became clearer. She could see his body take shape, then his surroundings, and finally the whole scene came to life. She could see where he was, some sort of bar, the people he was with.

Sensing the urgency, her and Squeaks rushed through the solid enough shadow and into the real world again. The air became warmer and less icy. Although from the people that were now around her. She wouldn't be surprised if that changed any second now.

Kiera looked over to Squeaks to see her reaction. She had been smiling when they entered the shadows but now she was frowning. Her smile feel, her skin had paled considerable, and she looked to be shaken to her core. Although Kiera couldn't blame her, it wasn't every day that you deal with people that what you dead constantly.

Kiera looked at everyone trying to figure out her best strategy. She looked over to see Tommy fighting off and very sickly-looking Henley. Then there was Skye, who was trying her best to defend herself against two very lethal looking people that looked severely pissed off. Tommy must have sensed her arrival because as he blocked another attack from Henley he turned towards her. "Inhumans! Bad! Help!" He yelled then took a kick in the gut from Henley.

Kiera debated running to him but from the looks of it Skye had the worse of the two. She was starting to look a little worn down and tired. Tightening her grip on the staff Kiera ran forward was able to slam her staff against the head of the man. He didn't even let out a cry of pain as he falls to the ground like a limp noodle. Skye turned to her with surprise but also with a grateful look in her eye.

However, that was not the end of it. Because the woman who had been with the man now looked even more pissed off. And this time it was being directed towards her. Now, Kiera was no biologist but even she knew that this woman was stronger than her. Both with her physical and powers wise. This woman was born an Inhuman, Kiera was just made one.

"Oh, great," The woman spat out, "Just what I need another experiment."

Kiera scoffed. How original was she? Raising an eyebrow Kiera brought her staff into defensive mode while she made her way around to Skye's side. "Is that the best insult you could do?" Kiera asked, "Because I thought you could do a little better than that."

"I could but I thought I would give you some satisfaction before I kill you." She said as she brought out a very sharp looking knife.

Kiera gulped and twirled her staff, "I've been told I'm very hard to kill."

The woman 'tsked', "Funny, I've had only three people say that to me. Two of them are now dead."

"Enough with the mocking, Luciana," Skye said moving forward a bit with her hands formed into fists by her side. "It's not too late to go." She said giving her an out, "If you to leave and forget about all of this then you still can."

Luciana let out a dark laugh, "You don't get it, do you?" She asked mockingly, "I want nothing more than to leave you two behind. But, it seems that you both have picked up a bad habit of not staying dead when you're supposed to. We were so close to the end goal all those years ago before you ruined it, Princess." Luciana said.

Kiera put her guard down a little bit. She looked at Skye with a confused look, only to be met with a very tense looking Skye. She could see the anger coursing through her, her jaw locked tight, her eyes hard, while her back was straight. Skye was very, very, mad about whatever the hell Luciana just said.

"Your end goal was insanity," Skye said smoothly.

Luciana gave her an incredulous look, "Insanity? That's what you call peace?"

"It wasn't peace, Luciana, it was madness."

Luciana shook her head unbelievingly, "I had to sacrifice so much to get me to this point. My mother all but hates me, my brother can't even bear to look at my face without disgust. But, I would give all of it up again and even then some. If it meant that we would no longer have to live in the shadows or in fear. That we would no longer be seen as abominations but as Gods instead."

Skye shook her head sadly, "We are not Gods, Luciana."

Luciana seemed to agree with that statement, "No, we are not." She agreed honestly then her expression hardens, "But we are not humans either." Then in anger, she thrust her hands out. An invisible force caused both her and Skye to be flung back against the back of the wall. Her staff was flung out of her hands and clattered to the ground as she tumbled across the dirt floor. Kiera looked over to see that Skye must have taken most of the damage. Her nose was bleeding and she now had several cuts on her face along with what she assumed was going to be a black eye in a day or two.

Luciana then stalked towards them with a look of determination. Her hand reached out again and the same invisible force lifted her five feet into the air. It was like someone was holding her up in the air by her neck. They were crushing her windpipe and it was becoming harder and harder for her to breath. She tried to reach out for her staff but that same invisible force was making it impossible to move her body.

"NO!" A voice yelled out and Kiera almost wanted to flinch. She had forgotten about Squeaks being there. She must have been hiding in the corner the entire time to wait the fight out. Luciana noticed the voice and let Kiera go, dropping her to the ground like a rag doll. She immediately started coughing, forcing the air back into her lungs.

She wanted to get up but everything in her was hurting too much. She, like Skye, was to hurt to do anything. She was going to be forced to watch one of her best friends die. She thought about yelling out to Tommy but he too was losing. Kiera could see how much he didn't want to hurt Henley. How he was holding back and letting her beat the shit out of him.

Kiera heard a shuffling noise next to her and saw that Skye had gotten up to her feet. She was still swaying a bit but there was a look of determination there. She watched as she planted her feet firmly and the ground. Skye put her hand out to her side offering Kiera some help getting up. Gratefully taking it, Kiera stumbled to her feet. "What are you going to do?" She asked.

Skye narrowed her eyes and cracked her knuckles, "Buy her some time."

Then, in a flash, Skye took her fist and slammed it against the ground. The impact was so strong and so big that the shockwave knocked all of them off their feet. Kiera was flung back into the wall. Tommy and Henley towards the barn doors, while Luciana was flung forward through the barn wall. Squeaks, by some luck, had only landed in a big stack of hay.

Whatever Skye had did rendered her senses useless. There was a ringing in her ear and she was pretty sure that she was suffering from Vertigo now. Her limbs felt like jelly and her vision was spotty making it hard to make out what was happening. She barely made out what was happening to her. The sensation of being pulled onto her feet. Someone had clasped their hands on her shoulder and she was too weak to pull them off.

When her vision partially returned she could make out Skye's face. Although, with the ringing still in her ear she had no idea what the woman was saying. It was too muffled and broken, but whatever the words she was saying, she knew that they were important. Kiera could tell that she was mouthing the same thing over and over again. But, only one word she could make out.

"Go!" Skye seemed to be shouting.

Kiera nodded her head incoherently and half jogged over to where Squeaks was laying. She was in pain, that much Kiera could tell about herself. Her side was on fire, he limbs felt like jelly, and she was pretty sure her brain was mush at this point. She somehow made it over to Squeaks though, she barely managed to lift the girl up and sling one of her arms around her shoulder. Squeaks groaned, or, at least she was pretty sure that she groaned. The ringing in her ear was still happening and everything still sounded muffled.

It took all of her strength to hobble off out of the barn. As soon as she was out the barn door she could feel the ground shake beneath her and she knew that it was Skye. Knowing that she had to hurry Kiera tugged Squeaks closer and began to power walk. Although her side was protesting her every move she pushed through the pain. She told herself to just keep going and then it would be over. That they would be safe and Tommy and Skye would have figured it out and they could all go back.

Kiera walked until she saw something in the distance. Something that she had only ever heard described to her. Something she knew to be the plane of the people Skye worked with. She could see that the back of the plane was open and Kiera grunted as she made her way closer to it. She pulled Squeaks along, her feet dragging along the mud, and she felt the girl's head fall into her shoulder.

"Almost there." She whispered to herself. Limping a few more steps she came to edge of the plane.

A gunshot rang through the air and all Kiera felt was a pain in her side. She let out a gasp and dropped Squeaks to the ground. Putting a hand to her side she saw that blood was now seeping through her shirt. Turning around to the sound of the shot she saw Luciana standing there. She was battered and bruised, blood covering her face and neck, but most of all she looked murderous.

In a panic, Kiera took a hold of Squeaks and dragged her up the plane. She didn't care about what the others might say she was only looking out for the kid. She didn't care about herself at this point, she had done her job and now it was over. Kiera watched in terror as Luciana made her way closer to them, gunshots still ringing out. Well, if there was one thing on her side, it was the fact that Luciana was a terrible shot.

Kiera laid Squeaks gently down behind some boxes. Then she managed to climb to her feet with her hand clutching her side the entire time. She walked out of her hiding space and over to what she hoped was a door button. She pressed it harshly, leaving a bloody handprint in her wake, and smiled when she saw the door beginning to close on Luciana.

She could see the pure rage enter the Inhuman's face as the door began to close on her. She unleashed the rest of her clip on her but none of them hit her. When the door finally closed and Kiera could no longer hear the sounds of gunshots, she slumped to the ground in relief. She ran a hand through her hair not caring if she got blood in it and then she laughed. This whole situation was messed up.

Kiera heard the sound of movement and looked up to see a ground of people staring down at her. Only one she was able to recognize. Putting her hand in the air and waving it at him Kiera smiled, "Phil Coulson!" She slurred happily, "I think I'd like to talk now." The man just stared at her blankly and Kiera squirmed, "I would get up but, as you can see, I'm a little preoccupied at the moment."

The man in front of her was familiar. There was a pull in her chest that told her to go to him. A feeling that made her want to run into his arms and never let go. She stared down at his unconscious form and brought her sword up to swing. Only she couldn't. There was something that was stopping her from completing the action of killing this man.

She didn't understand. Why couldn't she kill him? Why was her lip wobbling when she thought about hurting him? Or tears coming out of her eyes when she tried to think of a world without him?

You love him. A voice said in the back of her mind; one that sounded much like her own. You love him with everything you have.

"Ballis!" A gruff voice yelled and she looked up to see Luciana running back to her. Irritation was clearly written on the woman's face. "Grab, Val, we're leaving."

"But…" Henley started to say but Luciana cut her off.

"Forget about them." She said motioning to both unconscious forms of Skye and Tommy. "We have bigger problems to worry about."

Henley nodded her head then walked over to Val. She was not gentle when grabbing him. She threw him over her shoulder like it was nothing and walked back to Luciana. Said girl was holding a button in her hand and pressed it. Moments later a flash of blue light surrounded them and they were back in Afterlife. Greeted by the face of Gordon and Cecily.

"Thank you, Gordon." Cecily said kindly while never taking her eyes off of the trio, "I think I would like to talk to them privately now."

Gordon nodded his head and then exited the room leaving them alone with the princess.

Henley dropped Val to the ground and immediately seized up. Cecily was looking at her with kind eyes but she knew the princess. She knew how the princess could look into her mind, see her past, all her memories. She knew what Cecily was capable of. People often miss took her kindness as weakness. However, they could not have been more wrong.

Although Henley had only known her a few short weeks. She knew this of the princess: Cecily Johnson was ruthless. She only cared about three things in her entire life. Her sister, her fiancé, and the peace kept between the people. If anything were to threaten those three things then Cecily would raise Hell in order to protect them. She would harbor no compassion to those who threaten the three things she cares about. She would torture them, invade their minds if it meant keeping them safe.

Just like now.

Henley could see it in the princess's eyes. She was going to do something to them. Her cold blue eyes were calculating as she took a few steps forward. Her heels clicking along the floor as she did so. It was the only sound that entered the room.

Looking over to Luciana, she saw that the woman held her head high. Like the words Cecily was about to speak would not affect her. That nothing she could do would harm her or hurt her. Henley knew differently though. Luciana was devastated on the inside, it was rare that she would fuck up this badly on a mission. The girl always strives to be the best and when she isn't the best, she tries a little harder and people get hurt.

Cecily tilted her head to the side as she looked down at Valentine, "So," She said calmly, "The mission was unsuccessful, I take it?" She asked but she already knew the answer.

Luciana clenched her jaw tight. Henley wondered how she hadn't broken it by now, "It wasn't" She grunted out, "You were right though, Thomas Ward is alive."

Cecily let out a small huff of laughter and the edge of her lips perked up, "I thought as much."

"He was there along with your sister." Luciana said and rose an eyebrow, "Along with two others, both seemed to be apart of my mother experiments."

Cecily's smile didn't fall but she could tell that her eyes did. She tried her best to not show any emotion but Henley saw right past her. There was something about the news of her sister being alive along with Luciana's mother that was setting her off on the inside.

"I suppose I should go report this to your mother now," Luciana said then cocked her head to the side and narrowed her eyes. "Unless, of course, you don't want me to." She suggested, "because you already knew that your sister was alive."

"Don't be ridiculous," Cecily said with a little too much force in her voice. She came forward towards them more. Henley wasn't going to lie, in this moment, she was terrified as to what the princess was about to do to her, "If I had any knowledge of my sister being alive I would have told my mother."

"Of course, my Princess," Luciana said with a tight smile. She bowed her head and said to walk off.

Cecily then turned around and quickly grabbed the girl's arm. She watched as their eyes met and Luciana's brown ones glazed over. The got a look of someone who had just been heavily drugged and was not going to remember anything. She watched as Cecily concentrated hard on the woman, squeezing her arm tight. Then, a few seconds later, she released her and Luciana shook her head.

"It's a shame that we couldn't find anything in that barn," Luciana said. Henley widened her eyes. She had done it, she had actually done it. She changed Luciana's memories and by the way, she was eyeing Valentine, Henley was sure that he was next.

"Maybe next time," Cecily said sweetly and waved her goodbye. Luciana rolled her eyes and exited the room. Making Henley the only conscious person in the room.

This time, when Cecily smiled, it looked real and genuine. She wasn't forcing it. The princess took a careful step forward and gently grabbed her hand. Henley looked down at her in confusion. What the hell was she doing? Why was she being so kind to her? She watched as Cecily reached her hand up and cupped her cheek, "I'm sorry." She whispered to Henley. "For what they've done to you."

"They haven't done anything," Henley replied while shaking her head. She didn't want to tell her why she couldn't complete the mission. Why she hadn't been able to kill Thomas Ward. How every fiber of her being was resisting the order except for her mind.

"But, they have." Cecily offered and then took her thumb brushing it across her forehead, "And you deserve to remember." She then brought her thumb back to the middle of her forehead and pressed hard.

Henley let out a cry of pain and fell to her knees. Flashes across her mind, it was like someone had opened the floodgates to her memories. She saw everything, from her time on the Island, to fighting in the ring, to Tommy. She watched as she slowly fell in love with him. She saw how she had seen him at his low and at his high. Letting out a sob Henley remembered everything about Thomas Ward. She put a hand over her mouth as she became disgusted with herself.

Warm arms then wrapped around her, trying to give her reassuring words, "I almost killed him." Henley said, "I almost forgot about him."

"You could never," Cecily said to her as she stroked Henley's hair. "No matter how much they take away from you Henley. You can never forget how much you love him. That's the tricky thing about people. I can alter memories as much as I want but I can never change someone's heart, sometimes the heart just knows more than the mind."

"How will he ever forgive me?" She asked.

Cecily shook her head, "There's nothing to forgive." She said simply, "Now, all you must do, is find your way back to him. Just as he is trying to find a way back to you."

Henley remained silent after this. She ley Cecily continue to stroke her hair as she thought about the statement. How was she supposed to find her way back to him when she couldn't even remember him?

Two weeks later…

Location: Juneau, Alaska

Skye took a deep breath in and let the cold air fill her lungs. This was the type of weather that she was used too. It was cold out today and as she looked out the window at the sky she saw that it was already forming dark storm clouds. They had been calling for a major thunderstorm but Skye couldn't but think the storm reflected her. It had been two weeks since her fight with Luciana, Val, and Henley. Two weeks since she had last seen anybody on the team. Two weeks since her and Tommy had taken off and gone into hiding again.

They hadn't defeated Luciana and Val parse more of which the two just couldn't find them. As soon as Tommy and Skye recovered from the barn collapsing they had scrambled to find the Inhumans. Only they had disappeared into the night along with Henley. Out of fear for the team and herself she and Tommy thought that it was best to go into hiding. So, they had traveled to one of their safe houses where they where currently staying.

Knowing that their new lives had been shot to hell, Tommy and Skye created a plan. They were going to go back to their old lives one more time. They were going to take care of Mr. Jones once and for all and then they were done. They were retiring and never going back. They had been planning for weeks and in five days they were finally going to enact it.

Skye grabbed her wrist still trying to find normalcy without the bracelet on. It hadn't taken long to get it off. Just one little blast to it and the thing broke in half falling to the ground in pieces. Rubbering her hands together Skye reached to her side and threw another log into the fireplace. She pulled the blanket that was around her shoulders tighter and placed her hands in front of the growing fire.

Tommy was out getting supplies. He said that he wouldn't be back until tomorrow and Skye was left to her own advice. He told her to not do anything stupid so, she didn't, she did something completely stupid. It had been eating her up inside and she just needed to see him or at least hear his voice again. In all honesty, she didn't even know if he had gotten her message.

Skye heard the twisting of a doorknob and her head shot over to that direction. Climbing to her feet she tensed up and made her hands into a fist at her side. She had been using her powers more and more ever since that battle. She watched as the person on the other side of the door jiggled the knob a few more times before it finally came free. Then slowly the door opened and Skye went slack a smile coming on to her face.

"Grant…"
