Ren shuffled through his papers, looking through them for places to sign and errors to discuss hidden among the large text. He found himself blankly working the day away, only getting through a few papers in the last hour. His pace was off and so was his concentration. He found himself reading and rereading over and over again until his head hurt. He sighed in frustration and slight agony, his head ach getting the better of him once again. He was becoming so frustration at his own lack of concentration it was causing him to lose his concentration more often, causing the vicious cycle to only increase in pace. He shook his head, trying to clear it of his unnecessary thoughts. And yet, they were very necessary.
He found himself thinking back to the time Haruka and he went out on a date at that restaurant. Cecil had given him tickets to the restaurant once Ren had begun talking about them.

"So, Ren, how is business going for you?" Cecil asked as they sat down to begin their meeting. They were currently sitting in a fancy restaurant downtown, in the middle of a meeting. It was dark in the building, the lights dimmed for the evening crowd. The stage was the only bright place in the building, the stage lighting up nicely. There was currently a saxophonist playing on the well lit stage, setting the romantic mood with a bit of jazz.
"Me? It's going fine." Ren answered, taking a bite of his Sammen. He was impressed with the taste, making a mental note to get the same thing next time he came.
"I'm glad to hear that." Cecil chimed, slurping up noodles in a very obnoxious manner.
"Why are you eating like a kid? I thought you kept up appearances." Ren sighed, shaking his head.
"Well I'm not being watched right now, to I just want to relax." Cecil said, resting his arms on the table and putting his head down on his knotted limbs. Ren sighed, shaking his head again. He was a great business partner, but when it came to his downtime, he was about as mannered as a two year old.
"Hey, I heard you got married!" Cecil said, lifting his head up and smiling eagerly at Ren.
"Yes, three years ago." Ren said, sipping his wine.
"What!" Cecil cried, standing up. His chair dragged behind him, causing all eyes to fly to the two of them. "Why didn't you invite me?"
"It was exclusive. Even Masato and Tokiya didn't get in." Ren explained, caused Cecil to paut and sit down.
"That is exclusive..." Cecil moped, Ren rolling his eyes at his friend's behavior.
"Seriously, meet Tokiya's assistant. You'll like him." Ren said, sitting back.
"Nah, he sounds whinny." Cecil mumbled.
"Thats why you should meet him." Ren mumbled as well, causing Cecil to raise his head in confusion, hopping Ren would repeat, which he did not do. "So how about you?" Ren asked, causing Cecil to clock his head like a confused animal. Ren frowned and clarified. "Have you gotten a woman yet?" Cecil brightened in understanding and shook his head.
"No, I'm still looking for the one." Cecil shrugged, as if it was no big deal.
"You're too picky. I could get you a girl if you want." Ren offered with a sly smile, placing his elbow on the table and his chin on his palm.
"No, I'll look on my own." Cecil insisted, looking like a giddy school girl in his confidence. Ren almost chuckled at his friend's behavior. He acted like a child.
O"h right, you're searching for 'your muse' aren't you? What do you expect, for 'the one' to just appear before you, playing a beautiful instrument and waiting for you to embrace her into the night?" Ren chuckled, rolling his eyes at such fantasies. Surely that would never happen.
"Oh, that sound nice~" Cecil sighed in a dream like state, a capricious smile spreading across his face.
"Get your head out of the clouds." Ren smiled, flicking a bit of napkin at Cecil. The boy dodged it with cat like instincts, ducking down and letting it fly over his head. He smiled like a Cheshire Cat as he held his head up proudly, as if he accomplished something of great length.
"So, how do you like your wife?"
"Just barely."
"What? Aren't you all over her, getting down and dirty?" Cecil said, smiling suggestively.
"Nope, never."
"You've never done IT with your wife?" Cecil asked in amazement, simply at his friend's restraint.
"She's not that great." Ren shrugged.
"Ever been on a date?"
"Nope."
"Then here's your lucky day! This restaurant is handing out free meal tickets for a while and I happen to have two!"
"Aren't you using them tonight?"
"Nope, I'll pay. Now you take her out to dinner in a few days, at 7:30! I'll come and play and you can have a good time with your wifey~" Cecil said, forcing the tickets on Ren and paying the bill, getting up and leaving suddenly. Ren sat there, dumbfounded. He was... going on a date with Haruka?
_ Flashback over_
He invited Cecil over to thank him and also get in a little work while they were at it, but Cecil's weird necklace began to glow and Cecil followed it around the house until his ears caught onto Haruka's beautiful sound playing. Though, when he hear it he too needed to find the source of such beautiful music. He was surprised to find that it was coming from Haruka's room. He knew she had a piano in there but he had begun doubting she knew how to play a few years ago. But there she was, tinkering along on the keys.
He bit his lip when he pictured Cecil in there, holding her hands and gushing over her. He would be charming her with his 'cure' foreign charm and innocence. He snarled as he pictured her fawning over him as well. He would be just her type, he knew it.
Ren suddenly paused, looking down at his papers in shock. Was he... jealous? Of course not! Why would he ever fall for that girl ever! Or... was it already too late?
OMG, Ren's in looooove~ Sooooooo cute~ I know chapters are getting shorter, but now that I'm on break I just want to fool around every once in a while. Sorry if I'm disappointing anyone. *Makes a frowny face*
