Shoutouts:

The digidestined had finally returned to their world, only this time with their digimon with them. "We're back at camp where we all started." said TK.

"That's right, TK, but now we have our digimon." said Kara.

"We've got to get to Highton View Terrace and stop Myotismon from finding the 9th Digidestined." said Tai.

"I wonder how much of a head start he has on us." said Sora.

"Not even a minute has passed between the time Myotismon left for Japan and when we arrived. Time flows differently in the digital world." said Izzy.

"I'll say. We've been gone for months in the digital world and yet in the real world, it's the same day we left." said Matt.

"But that's impossible. You mean all those adventures took less time than it does to, say, get a haircut?" asked Joe.

"Please Joe, don't exaggerate. Imagine getting your hair done in such a short amount of time." said Mimi as Tai started running down the stone steps to where all the cabins were with the other students and teachers.

"I'm gonna take a look at the camp. I wanna see how much time really has passed. One of you come with me, the rest of you stay there. Who volunteers?" asked Tai as he reaches the bottom. Koromon, Labramon, Gomamon and Biyomon went down the steps, the in-training digimon slipping and flipping right into Tai's arms. "One volunteer, not 16." said Tai as he saw the rest of them walking down.

"I'd thought I'd keep you company." said Mimi, standing by Izzy.

"And we're gonna keep Mimi company." said Joe.

"Besides we're all curious to know what happened while we were gone." said Matt, holding Tsunomon in his arms with TK by his side.

"But how would we explain it if somebody sees our digimon?" asked Tai.

"Tai? How did you know that I was thinking that?" asked Kara.

"I didn't." said Tai. Just then they heard a familiar voice call out, making them jump.

"Oh, kids." said the familiar voice.

"It's…our teacher." gasped Sora as they saw a middle aged man run over to them. "We are back in the real world." she said.

"Mr. Fujiyama." said Tai, running over to the man with a smile as Fujiyama skidded to a stop.

"Watch out!" said Mr. Fujiyama as Tai slipped back and fell. "What are all you kids doing playing around here when you haven't even packed your gear yet?" he asked sternly.

"Whoa, sir, I can explain." yelped Tai as Kara comes tries to hold Labramon still.

"Well, I'm Tai's digimon…" Koromon begins to say, but Tai cried out to cover his mouth.

"Didn't you kids hear? We're closing up camp early because of the snow. Everyone else is ready to go home." said Fujiyama.

"Sure, of course we did." said Tai as he stood up nervously.

"Look at those dirty little toys you're carrying. Your sister looks like she can barely keep that dog still. Where'd you get 'em?" asked Fujiyama.

"Uh…toys?" Tai laughed nervously.

"Who's he calling a dirty little toy? That's not…" Motimon said as all the digimon seemed angry at the insult.

"We can't let anyone know that you can talk." whispered Izzy as they covered the in-trainings mouths.

"Pretend to be stuff animals." whispered Matt. Sora goes over to Kara and helps keep Labramon calm. "Please pretend to be a real dog, Labramon." said Sora.

"Oh, these toys. Well, you see they're stuffed." said Tai.

"Yes, Tai. I can see that." said Fujiyama.

"Uh, we found them here and the dog followed us when Kara found her in the woods hungry." said Tai, making Labramon bark.

"Yeah, that's right. You see, we were hiking up an uncharted trail when we came across these stuffed toys that someone had thrown away. Kara couldn't help but feed the poor dog when we found it. Makes perfect sense if you asked me." said Joe, nervously.

"Who in their right mind would hike up an uncharted trail just to throw away seven stuffed animals and leave behind that poor dog?" asked Fujiyama.

"Exactly our point and that's why we think littering is crazy…right gang?" Tai asked as he turned to face the others.

"Right." they said, smiling as Tai turns back around.

"But being the good citizens that we are, we cleaned up the mess and now Kara and I are giving them to our sister Kari, as a present. She wasn't able to come to camp, remember?" asked Tai.

"Oh, yeah. She caught a cold, didn't she?" Fujiyama asked, remembering how easily the other Kamiya sister could get sick.

"Yes, but she's feeling much better now because I went home and made her an omelet." said Tai.

"When did you do that?" asked his teacher.

"When I…" Koromon was about to say when Tai covers his mouth.

"When? Uh, that's a good question. Right before I left for camp." said Tai.

"It's nice that you were think of your sister, Tai, but don't overdo it. Those things are filthy and belong in the garbage, right kids?" asked their teacher.

"Right." they all agreed.

"Can I bring the dog on the bus to see if anyone has lost a dog?" asked Kara innocently, hoping that he would take the bait.

"Sure. Meet you at the bus." said Fujiyama before he turned and ran off back to camp.

"Right!" they said as he was soon out of sight.

"Finally! I don't have to pretend to be a real dog." said Labramon, dropping the act.

"You'll have to pretend to be one when we're around other kids." said Kara.

"I'd like to get his gear together and throw him in the garbage can!" said Koromon.

"Well, at least you won't be littering." said Tai.

Somewhere in Highton View Terrace. "The human world is so cluttered. All these creatures cram on top of each other." said Gatomon, sitting on the edge of a rooftop.

"The 9th digidestined lives nearby. What's next, Myotismon?" asked DemiDevimon, turning to see his master groaning in the shadows.

"Unfortunately until the sun goes down, I must remain hidden in the shadows. Begin the search without me. here." said Myotismon, tossing a pink crest with a pink star in the middle known as the Crest of Light, already inside in the tag to Gatomon.

"I won't let you down, Lord Myotismon." said Gatomon, holding up the crest.

"I need to be alone." said Myotismon and he runs into the building.

"I'll come with you." said DemiDevimon but Myotismon slams the door in his face.

The digidestined all went back to their cabins and got their stuff, then went to see that the kids were all getting on their buses to go home. "Remember. Don't talk in front of anybody else, ok?" said Joe.

"Don't worry. We can just pretend to be adorable stuffed animals." said Palmon as she cupped her hands to her face and Gomamon gave her a look.

"You're gonna have to help me with carrying Labramon on the bus, Tai." said Kara, beginning to worry about her digimon.

"Do I have to lay down at her feet while we're the bus?" asked Labramon.

"Afraid so, Labramon. We can't have you sit on her lap." said Tai and Kara nodded.

"Wow, look at all the kids." said Koromon in excitement as Tai freaked out and covered his mouth.

"Didn't we just say not to talk out loud?!" Tai asked quietly.

"Yeah but look at all the human children." said the in training digimon.

"I never knew there were more human children than you." said Biyomon.

"This is nothing. Why, just in the city alone, there must be tens or thousands of kids just like us. And when you add the rest of the kids in the world, there must be millions." explained Sora, making the digimon all look at her in amazement.

"You mean there are millions of Sora?!" asked Biyomon, picturing a bunch of Soras.

"There's only one of me!" cried Sora at Biyomon's misunderstanding.

"She just means there are more kids our age." said TK.

"That's right, there are a ton of different people in our world." said Matt.

"Wow!" said Patamon, Labramon and Tsunomon said.

"I can't wait for you to finally meet Kari, Labramon." said Kat.

"Hey, it's Michelle!" Mimi cried, accidentally knocking Palmon back as she ran to the small group. "I've missed you so much!" she cried to the confused girl.

"You missed me? You just saw 10 minutes ago." the sandy hair girl, Michelle said.

"What's going on?" a dark brown haired girl asked.

"Mimi's weird." said Michelle.

"Taren!" cried Mimi, hugging her, then pulled away and laughed.

"She's wigging out." said Michelle.

"Too much caffeine." said Taren.

"Oh Mimi." said Palmon.

"She's going to give us away. I told her no time has passed since we went to the digital world." said Tai.

"Don't worry. She won't give out the secret that easily. Besides, we have to find some form of transportation to Highton View Terrace." said Izzy.

"I got an idea." said Tai as he went over to where their teacher was, talking to one of the bus drivers. "Mr. Fujiyama! Can you have the bus drop us off somewhere?" he asked as the others followed.

"Have the bus drop you off? No can do. The rules say I have to take you straight to your homes." said Fujiyama.

"Please, Mr. Fujiyama, I'm begging you sir. Could you just let us off somewhere near Highton View Terrace?" asked Tai.

"Highton View Terrace? Why do you want to go there?" asked Fujiyama.

"Well, we used to live there and we were feeling nostalgic, so we thought we'd visit our old hang out." said Tai.

"Come on." said Matt.

"Please?" begged TK and Kara started the puppy dog eyes.

"We'd appreciate it, sir." said Izzy.

"But it's against the rules." said Fujiyama.

"You know, I think we drive pretty close to Highton View Terrace. Let's see." said the bus driver, checking his clipboard. "First we take the freeway to the parkway to the freeway…that's the wrong way. Oh, yeah. Here at the road way. Highton View Terrace is within walking distance." said the bus driver as they nodded.

"That's where you can drop us off, mister." said Tai.

"Hold on! I didn't give the bus driver permission yet." said Fujiyama.

"Please, Mr. Fujiyama. It would mean so much to me and TK. It was the last place we all lived together as a family before my parents got divorced." said Matt as he placed a hand on his little brother's shoulders.

"Oh." cried TK, hugging around Matt's waist.

"TK." sighed Matt.

"Oh, brother!" said TK.

"Mr. Fujiyama, please let us off at Highton View Terrace. As an upperclassman, I'll take responsibility for getting them home." said Joe.

"Well, I guess if a reliable kid like you is going, Joe, then I guess it's ok. But I better call your parents and let them know where you are." said Fujiyama.

"Deal." said Tai and Joe as they bowed together.

"Thanks Mr. Fujiyama." said Joe.

"You're the greatest teacher ever." said Tai.

"Yeah, yeah." said Fujiyama, as he walked away with the amused looking bus driver.

"Yahoo!" cheered Tai as he jumped over the rest of the group. "Hey, how long are you gonna keep that act up?" he asked the brothers as their whimpers turned into laughter.

"Well, we had to think of something." said Matt.

"You mean that sad story was just an act?" said Joe, stunned. "I was crying my eyes out for you, that my glasses started to fog up!" he then ranted.

"Calm down before you have an asthma attack." said Tai.

"How did you do that?" Labramon asked Kara and TK.

"I'll teach it to you when we get there." said Kara.

"I missed you all so much." They heard Mimi say, laughing as she got onto the bus with her friends.

"I hope she's not gonna act like this with every kid that she meets." said Palmon.

"Hey." she cried to get her partner's attention, but Izzy and Sora covered her mouth, hushing her.

After the buses left the campgrounds, the digidestined were all on the same bus. Matt was resting a bit with Tsunomon in his lap while TK looked out the window with Patamon. Mimi was talking to her friends while Izzy was sitting in his seat with Motimon and Koromon beside him.

"Doing ok down there?" asked Kara, looking down at her digimon who was schrunched at her feet.

"I feel all squished up and I have no room." said Labramon.

"We'll be there soon, don't worry." said Tai.

"Excellent, my laptop is in perfect working condition here in the real world." said Izzy.

"Great." said Tai, walking over to him.

"Looks like the digivice is working too." said Sora, as her digivice shows all eight dots on her digivice.

"Cool." said Tai as he and Joe looked over her shoulder.

"What's that? Is that the latest toy all you kids are into?" asked Mr. Fujiyama.

"No, it's just one of the old ones that we all hate." Joe said quickly.

"Let me take a look at that." said Fujiyama.

"Ah, it's broken!" said Tai, running up to stop him.

"Maybe I can fix it." said Fujiyama, gently pushing Tai out of the way. "Here, give it to me. I'm good with electronics." he said, holding out his hand to Sora.

"Yes, sir." said Sora, handing her digivice to him.

"Thanks Sora. Unlike other children, you really listen to your teachers." said Fujiyama.

"Oh." said Sora, blushing at the complement.

"There's no harm in letting him take a look at it, Tai." said Izzy.

"For a second there, I thought Mr. Fujiyama was an evil digimon." said Tai, smirking.

"I think you've spent too much time in the Digital world." said Izzy.

"No kidding." said Sora, standing behind his seat.

"Think about it. If he were an evil digimon, every time you failed a test, he screamed out his attack: Homework Blaster!" said Tai, making Sora and Izzy sweat drop.

"Actually it's more like Tickle Blaster!" said Fujiyama, standing behind Tai as he tickles him, causing him to laugh loudly, making the others laugh too.

Meanwhile somewhere in Highton View Terrace. "It's this way guys." said a boy to his three friends as they ride bikes with Gatomon hanging on to a bike rake with the crest of Light around her neck. A second later, she runs over to a baseball park where a kid just smacked one over the fence. "You can't turn over a rock without finding a kid under it in this world and yet I still haven't found the 9th digidestined." said Gatomon.

Just then a dog comes over to her, growling and jumps at her but she jumps up and swats her tail at the dog, hitting him in the neck, making him run off, yelping in pain. A while later, Gatomon returns to Myotismon's lair. "What do you mean you couldn't find the 9th digidestined? You have failed me." said Myotismon in his coffin.

"Please don't hurt me your evil-ship. I swear they're not here." said Gatomon, begging for mercy.

"Silence Gatomon! I have made several copies of the 9th digidestined's tag and crest, the one you have is a copy too." said Myotismon, as DemiDevimon hands out the crest to each minion.

"So I'm a copycat?" asked Gatomon.

"The original is with me, even though they're only copies, they will still become activated when the 9th child is nearby. This time make no mistakes, you must find that 9th child." said Myotismon.

"Gotcha." said Gatomon and DemiDevimon.

"And when you do find them then they must die!" Myotismon said to everyone.

After the bus dropped the digidestined off in Highton View Terrace, they were now standing on a bridge. "They were nice to drop us off here." said Koromon as they watched the bus leave.

"Yeah." said Tai.

"There's the Highton View Terrace tower." said Mimi, pointing out the tall tower.

"The tallest apartment building in Japan." said Izzy.

"Terrific. I'm afraid of heights." said Joe.

"That place isn't so hot." said Tai.

"That's true. The heat never worked. I used to live there." said Sora.

"Wow, Sora. You lived in that big castle?" asked Biyomon.

"Yep." said Sora.

"We lived near here too. A block away in another building. Sora and I went to West Side Elementary together." said Tai.

"We did?" asked Kara.

"Yep." said Tai.

"Oh yeah." said Sora.

"Hey, I went to West Side Elementary." said Matt.

"You're kidding! You mean, the two of you were telling the truth when you said that you used to live in Highton View Terrace?" asked Joe.

"Yeah, we really did live here before our parents got divorced." said Matt.

"That was a long time ago when I was a little kid." said TK.

"Strange coincidence because I used to live here too." said Joe.

"I lived here too before we moved." said Mimi, making Joe look at her in confusion.

"Me too. Just for a little while, it's a long story." said Izzy.

"So at some point, we all lived at Highton View Terrace at the same exact time?" asked Tai.

"This can't be just a coincidence." said Matt.

"There has to be some meaning here." said Izzy. Just then, there was some weird screeching noise that made them all look up and see a swarm of bats flying in the sky. "Myotismon's army. Run for it!" Tai cried out.

"They can run, but they can't hide from Mammothmon." said Gatomon, jumping from one roof to another, watching the digidestined flee the scene. Just below the building Gatomon landed on, a giant woolly mammoth like digimon with a metal face plate going from its head down to the end of its tusks, tosses a motorcycle in the air. "My new motorcycle! Hey! Respect other people's property you big walking shag carpet!" a man yelled at Mammothmon.

Mammothmon roars as the man throws his helmet at him and drops it to the ground as Mammothmon walks off. "Hey, whoever owns this elephant should know there's a leash law around here!" cried the man.

"Oh look honey, how cute, a wild elephant on a rampage." said a woman.

"They must be filming a movie or something." said the man with his arm around the woman's waist.

"What's that big eared freak trying to do, destroy the digidestined with everything else?" asked Gatomon, watching Mammothmon move through the streets, not thinking clearly of his methods. "We never should have brought that type of digimon along for this." she said and continues her search.

Meanwhile the digidestined had come up to a candy store. "Say, do any of you remember this place?" asked Tai when they stopped in front of the store. "I bought candy here." he said.

"It was my favorite store." said Mimi.

"Oh, sure. Mine too." said Joe.

"You probably don't remember this place TK, you were too little then but Mom and Dad used to take us here all the time." said Matt.

"Maybe some candy will help me remember." said TK.

"Did you get me any candy from here, Tai?" asked Kara.

"Sure I did. I made sure that I got two of the same thing for you and Kari." said Tai.

"You're awfully quiet, Izzy. Didn't you like living at Highton View Terrace?" asked Sora.

"I don't remember." said Izzy.

"How long did you live there?" asked Sora.

"Just for a little while. About six months." said Izzy.

"Wow. Why did your parents move away?" asked Tai.

"I don't know." said Izzy.

"You're kidding? Well, if you don't know then maybe I should tell you." said Joe.

"What do you mean, Joe?" asked Sora.

"Yeah, Joe. How could you know why Izzy's parents moved away from here? Did you know them or something?" asked Tai.

"No, I didn't know Izzy back then, but I did see what happened." said Joe as a bunch of police cars drove by with sirens blaring.

"What's going on?" asked Mimi.

"Where there's trouble, there's Myotismon." said Tai as they all went to check it out.

"A monster digimon." said Matt as Izzy scans Mammothmon with his computer.

"It's called Mammothmon. He's an ultimate vaccine digimon. He's classified as an ancient beast with two attacks he calls Tusk Crusher and Freezing Breath." said Izzy as he reads the data he got to the others.

"Get out of here kids, this is a danger zone!" said a policeman in a police car when he stopped by the digidestined.

The man tried to call his buddies to come help out, but the radio in his car was dead and Mammothmon looked over to where they were standing. "Wait a minute, I think he sees us." said Tai.

"Get out of here now!" the man said before he drove off.

"And he's heading this way." said Tai as Tsunomon and Koromon growled.

"I say…lets run now!" said Kara, about to take off with Labramon at her heels.

"That monster's fully digivolved. You can't fight him." said Matt as both Tsunomon and Koromon hopped out of their arms.

"Just leave everything to me." said Biyomon.

"Biyomon!"

"Biyomon digivolve to…Birdramon!" Birdramon then flew up into the sky.

"Meteor Wing!" She shouted, sending her attack at Mammothmon knocking him to the ground. One hit his metal face, but bounces off to a phone booth and destroys it. Sora gasps as a strange memory came to her, like she had seen it once before, only it was dark out. The same thing happened when Mammothmon threw a bus and it exploded, causing Izzy to recall a memory as well. "Tusk Crusher!" shouted Mammothmon, sending the tips of his tusks at Birdramon, knocking her out of the sky.

"There were two!" said TK, then everyone looked at them.

"What?" asked Matt?

"There were two monsters." said TK.

"What are you talking about, TK?" asked Tai.

"Oh man, now I remember. A long time ago, TK was insisting that he saw two monsters and my mom was upset at him for it." said Matt.

[Flashback]

A five year old TK was in the kitchen with his mother facing the stove. "But I really did see monsters, mommy." said TK.

"TK, there are no such thing as monsters. You were just imagining it or maybe it was just a dream." said his mom.

"But mommy, I saw them." said TK, trying to convince his mom.

"TK, that's enough." said his mom. An eight year old Matt was hiding behind the wall, listening to what TK had said.

[Flashback ends]

"I just assumed he imagined the whole thing." said Matt.

"So when did this take place?" asked Izzy.

"This is where it happened." said Sora.

"Right outside this foot bridge." said Joe. Mammothmon and Birdramon were still at it, making a mess around town.

"Tusk Crusher!" shouted Mammothmon, firing his attack.

"This is really strange." said Joe.

"We have to get off this bridge." said Tai as they all ran and off the bridge just as the Tusk Crusher hit the spot they were standing in.

"Oh, this is déjà vu all over again!" cried Mimi.

"This is just how it happened." said Joe as the place was getting wrecked up all over the place. "Back then, a giant ball of fire destroyed the bridge." he tells everyone.

"Something's definitely different. I remember there was a fire breathing one but it didn't fly." said Matt.

"You're right. There were two monsters fighting, but they were different than these two." said Tai.

"I remember…you were trying to cover me and Kari, to protect us. In case anything fell on us." said Kara. Birdramon then grabs Mammothmon by the trunks. "Freezing Breath!" shouted Mammothmon, his attack hits Birdramon right in the face, causing her to be knocked back into the bridge.

"Birdramon!" shouted Sora as she and Tai ran to see how the bird was doing.

"Sora?" Birdramon said weakly as she was struggling to get up. Just then, Sora's crest begins to glow and she was surrounded by a red aura. Her digivice glows red and the crest of Love symbol shoots out of her tag. "Birdramon digivolve to…Garudamon!"

"Tusk Crusher!" Mammothmon fired his attack at Sora and Tai but Garudamon dived down and shielded them as Tai did the same to Sora.

"Garudamon." said Sora as she looked up at her Ultimate level digimon, while holding her red digivice. Tai frowned in thought. "The fire breathing monster I saw. Greymon. It was Greymon and another digimon." Tai thought to himself. "Sora, it was Greymon!" he exclaimed as everyone gasped and agreed what they all had remembered that night.

Garudamon got up and charged at Mammothmon as the digidestined watched and thought back to what happened. Mammoth sent another attack towards Garudamon but it misses her as she hopped onto it and rode Mammothmon away from the kids. "It's the day Koromon came to my house and digivolved into Greymon." said Tai as those forgotten memories came back. "He was fighting a bird like digimon. After the fight, they disappeared." he said as Garudamon flew up with Mammothmon in her hands and letting him fall to the ground.

"Kari had her whistle that day and only whistled at you." said Kara.

"Wing Blade!" shouted Garudamon, firing her attack at Mammothmon. The attack strikes Mammothmon and destroys him. The group runs over as Garudamon de-digivolves back into Yokomon with Sora catching her digimon. "After the fight that day, Greymon and the other digimon disappeared." said Tai as they stood in the middle of the mess.

"Exactly. Somehow the digimon were involved all along." said Izzy.

"That's why my other sister Kari already knew Koromon. Kari met him back on that day." said Tai as Kara nodded.

"You met her?" asked Patamon and Labramon.

"It must have been a different Koromon." said Koromon. "But I did have a strange feeling when I met Tai and Kara that we had met somewhere before."

"Listen, it's the cops. They'll ask a ton of questions and blame us for all of this. I'm too young to go to the big house." said Joe as the police and fire department all drove to where the kids where, so they ran off.

The digidestined arrived at a park. "You know, I always thought that it was pretty strange that out of all the kids at camp, we were the only ones chosen to go to the digital world. I knew it couldn't be a coincidence. Somehow, we were all connected by some common event. Today, I discovered what that event was." said Izzy.

"We all took French in school?" asked Mimi.

"No. four years ago, we were all living at Highton View Terrace at the same time and all of us saw those digimon fight." said Izzy.

"Then the 9th digidestined saw the digimon too." said Matt.

"Right, so the person who is the 9th digidestined had to have been there as well." said Izzy.

"What if Myotismon found him already? I mean, he's been searching the city all day. And if the child lived here four years ago, maybe it's still here." said Joe.

"We'll find the 9th digidestined before Myotismon. They might be someone we know." said Tai and Kara drops her eyes to the ground. She had promised Gennai that they would know soon enough of what he had told her.
