(Ty's POV)

I was about to tease Adam some more, when that girl, Elsa came bursting through the door, her cheeks pink and flustered looking.

Holy crap, she was gorgeous.

The pinkness of her cheeks made her perfectly smooth pale skin glow in the soft light from the window. Her long, midnight-black hair was swept back into a braid to the side, framing her face perfectly, thin wisps escaping in various places. Dressed in a deep purple gown that outlined her slim figure, she looked stunning.

"Adam, where is-"

Her voiced pierced through the air like a knife cutting through butter, only to be cut off as her gaze fell on me. Her eyes reflected the light, making the green and purple flecks dance across the black. She seemed to stare into my very soul, there was something about her, I'm not sure if it was just because she was a witch...

"Umm, where have you been? You look a little... Hot."

Adam broke the silence, earning stares from both of us. He shrugged his shoulders, putting on his best innocent look. It wasn't working.

Eventually, Elsa replied. "I was out getting more supplies to help your friend here." She looked back at me, eyes meeting mine. "So Ty, how is your ankle?"

It took me a moment to realise that she was addressing me, snapping out of my trance I wiggled my foot a bit. "It's much better, though I still can't put my full weight on it. Whatever you did helped, a lot."

She smiled at that, looking satisfied she went over to the cupboard and took a vial out of the cupboard and handed it to me. I looked at it questionably, swirling around the neon green contents.

"It should help more with the swelling and speeding up the healing process." She looked at my doubtful expression and sighed. "It shouldn't taste too bad, just drink it. I put some herbs in it to improve the taste."

Tipping the bottle towards my mouth, I downed the contents. It had a sort of metallic but fresh taste, quite odd, but not that unpleasant.

"Thanks," I said, grinning as she took it back. The aftertaste was amazing, what I would call a mixture of lemon and roses, I had never tasted anything so good.

"Back to bed with you, you've got to rest up if you want it to heal. Adam, help him. I can see that." He was making faces when her back was turned, but obligingly got up to help me hobble back to my room.

Once I was back on the bed, I was commanded to do something relaxing, like sleeping or reading. Something that didn't involve Adam. He left begrudgingly, still pulling faces as he walked out. I grinned, at least he still had a sense of humour, I was sure that was something that he would never lose. I looked at the pile of books Elsa had brought in for me, picking one with a black leather cover that was a great deal bigger than the rest. I had never been much of a reader, I was the kid always playing games or watching TV, though I did have a few books. When I wabanned from technology, I would usually read to pass the time. I did enjoy it, I just never really gave it a chance.

Flipping the book open to the contents page, I looked through the chapter names, seeing if there was anything interesting. According to the title, this was a guide to all known mobs in Minecraft. I guess it would be good to know any weaknesses my opponents had, so I flipped to the hostile section.

After I had read through all the overworld mobs, I searched for the Nether section, but there was none. Did they have no Nether here, like the End? But if the Enderdragon was here, why weren't all the Hell mobs. Surely Notch didn't make all of them up? I scanned the contents page once more, but didn't see anything. I flipped to the back of the book, surprised to see faint lines on the paper beside scribbled out notes. I tried to read what it said, but I couldn't make anything out. However, I did know what the faint lines represented. It was a zombie pigman. I searched through the rest of the notes but they were blank.

Hmm, that was interesting.

I looked up as Adam came bursting through the door, explaining that he had been allowed back in. He stopped short as he saw me holding the open book.

"You read?" He asked with a puzzled expression.

"Sometimes," I muttered. He came over and read over my shoulder, looking at aaa blank page.

"Uh, Ty, you do know that page doesn't have any words on it," he said, grinning.

"Yes, I know you idiot," I sighed. I turned back to the contents page and explained to him what I had found.

"But if there's zombie pigmen, there has to be a Nether, right?"

"I don't know." I studied the faint lines and scribbled out mess. "It kinda looks like whoever did this changed their mind halfway through."

Adam looked thoughtful for a moment. "I know! We'll ask Elsa, she'll be able to tell us if there is or not."

As if she had known, Elsa came through the door right at that moment, holding more of that green stuff and some more bandages. She looked at us huddled over the book and sighed.

"What do you guys need?" She said exasperatedly, passing me the bottle. I downed it in a couple of sips, letting Adam do the talking.

She kept getting whiter and whiter as he kept explaining, something that I didn't think was possible on her already pale he had finished, she sat down on the foot of the bed and began to treat my ankle, talking while she did so.

"I have no idea what this Nether thing is, the only portal I know of is the one between our two worlds. However, these creatures are a different story. They were the things Herobrine attacked with all those years ago, among flying things that were on fire, big screeching white things that shot fire and black skeletons that seemed to poison everyone."

"We know all of them. They're all from the Nether. Blazes, ghasts and wither skeletons." I told her, listing them off one by one.

"So Herobrine has access to the Nether, which means monsters that are almost invulnerable because no one knows their weak spots." Adam concluded.

Elsa finished strapping my ankle back up after applying a salve that felt cool against the heated wound. Standing back up, she looked at us, one after the other.

"This isn't good guys."

Adam opened his mouth to reply, but not before a bang echoed through the air.

"What the hell was that?"

Elsa's expression was grim. She went over to the window and scanned the surroundings, letting out a low moan. As she moved away, both me and Adam could both see the cloud of smoke starting to rise. Elsa turned back to me, seeming to make a decision.

"You can ride, but you'll come with me. You're not skilled enough on your own yet, and I don't trust Adam with you." With that, she strided out of the room, Adam giving her an indignant look.

"Well, are we going?" I asked him.

"I think we have to," he muttered, almost inaudibly. With me leaning on him, I found that I could put slightly more weight on my leg. I probably didn't need his help anymore, but I knew he would insist, whatever I did.

We eventually reached the small stable by the side of the house, I had never noticed it before. Inside was a brown and white dappled mare, who I recognized to be Socks, Adam's horse. In the next stall, there was a pure black horse, who's mane shimmered as it moved even the slightest bit, I read the name on the stall to be Athena. Elsa saddled up her horse while Adam did the same to his. We all got on successfully, thank god, and soon we were racing away to the site of the smoke, me holding onto Elsa for dear life.

I heard Elsa mutter something as we got closer, but I couldn't make it out over the wind. As we reached the site, we left behind the swamp and we were back out on open plains, but the grass was a dark, rich green. Elsa stopped the horse and I managed not to completely fall off, half sliding off, half jumping off, Elsa had to catch me before I injured myself even more. I said a quick thanks, feeling my cheeks go slightly pink. Real smooth Ty, real smooth.

Looking in front of me, I saw the damage zone. A huge crater opened up in the Earth, stretching wide but not too deep. I walked up to the edge, picking up a dead silver flower along the way. This must have been the place where Adam met Ebony that one time.

Speaking of Adam, he had gotten a bit behind. He came bursting out of the swamp to where we stood, I could hear him swearing under his breath even through I stood a good 10 blocks away. Both of them came up to stand beside me, Elsa kneeled at the edge of the pit, crumbling the loose dirt through her hands. She straightened up, casting her gaze all around the pit. There was no sign of who had done this, but we all had no doubts.

"What is this!" Adam exclaimed angrily, I knew he had liked this place.

Elsa sighed beside me, keeping her eyes cast into the depths of the crater.

"This my friend, is the beginning of the end."

(A/N) That last line just felt too epic. So, this is the beginning of the end. I'm gonna (try to) finish this story off, though it could still take quite a few more chapters. But as I said earlier, there will be a sequel after this is done.

SilverWolf01: Cos marshmallows are awesome.
