I AM SO SORRY FOR TAKING SO LONG TO UPDATE! PLEASE DON'T HURT ME! I haven't been online for almost a month, been really busy with work and school and I had a major writer's block. I'm not even sure I like how this chapter came out but I'm posting it and we'll see how it goes!

I don't proofread my chapters! Lol I just dish them out as I write them cause I'm too lazy to do it!

Disclaimer: I do not own TMNT. But I do own my OCs!

Enjoy!

As soon as they passed the barrier they paused a second to take in the scene before them.

"Woah! I've never seen this many people in Divinity! Not even on festivals does it get this packed!" Cat exclaimed and the rest of the girls nodded in agreement.

"Come on! My dad has to be in Central Base!" Kayla said taking off in a run and they followed after her, squeezing their way through the thick crowd.

Finally they came to a simple black tent that stood in the center of everything that was around them. Guards stood surrounding the tent, not letting one inch of it be exposed in case of an attack. Though no one could getting in, but it was just a safety precaution.

"Sorry kid can't let you in the Elders are having a meeting" the main guard blocking the entrance to the tent said pushing her back slightly.

"You don't understand my dad is in there!"

"I'm sure he is, now why don't you and your friends run along" he said dismissively.

Without any warning Kayla clenched her fist and punch the man in the throat, sending him to bend over coughing and wheezing in pain. The other guards having witness everything set into motion and began to restrain her. Others grabbed Nia, Cat and Skyler in case they tried to to anything.

"Let me go! I didn't not wait 8 months to see my dad again only to be told I can't see him!" Kayla yelled struggling in their grip.

"Settle down or will be forced to use force" the guard holding her said firmly.

"Dad!" Kayla shouted.

"I said settle down!" The guard snapped.

"Let me go! DAD!" She cried again.

"I said settle down!" The guard twisted her body and slammed her to the ground making her cried out in pain.

"Kayla!" Skyler shouted in panic.

"Hey asshole! That was way out of line! As soon as this bastard lets go I swear you're gonna regret that!" Cat shouted.

Nia had went into flames making the guard holding her let go immediately but not before she was also tackled by another fire wielder.

"What is going on out here!"

Their scuffle immediately stopped at the booming voice that held authority. Following after her was the rest of the Elders.

"Oh shit it's the Grand Elder" Cat whispered out for them to hear. She was the oldest Elder living and the most powerful and wisest through all her years of experience.

"You two, get off those girls! Now!" Her eyes narrowed at the guards as she saw both Nia and Kayla wincing and groaning in pain.

"Yes Grand Elder" both men stood up and let them go.

"Kayla?" Someone called out pushing through the crowd of Elders.

"Dad!" Kayla cried as she launched herself at him in a fierce hug which he returned. He looked up at and held his other arm open, instantly Cat, Nia and Skyler

ran into his hold.

"I was so worried about you girls" he sighed in relief and kissed each of them on top of their head. He then turned to his head to face the Grand Elder.

"If it's not too much trouble may be continue the meeting in a couple hours?" He spoke.

"Sounds like a splendid idea, I think we all need a little break. We'll meet back here in two hours. That should give you enough time to get reacquainted with your girls Elder Sylph" the woman smiled at him.

"Thank you Grand Elder" he smiled softly at her.

Kayla's father listen to them explain everything that had been going on the last months since the invasion.

"And now we're here" Cat finished explaining.

"I see" he said softly as he looked them over carefully "…and these 'friends' of yours, where are they now?"

"They're out looking for their fathers" Nia stated.

"By themselves? With those things out there?" He stood up suddenly "I need to sent out a group of soldiers out to get them"

"You don't need to do that dad, they got this, they've been training for this" Kayla assured him.

"Yea! You should see them in action!" Cat grinned no doubt thinking of her purple clad terrapin.

He looked at the girls faces studding them closely before he sighed in defeat.

"I'll take your word on that then, now Catharine, I need you to tell me how your links are" he said changing the subject.

Cat bit her lip before plastering on a fake smile "They're fine"

"The truth Catharine" he said firmly to the young aura reader.

Cat stayed silent and looked around nervously while sending both Nia and Skyler an apologetic look.

"Catherine, I'm not going to ask again"

Cat shook her head and looked down.

"Fine have it your way" he said taking out his phone and began to dial a number on it than brought it up to his ear. The girls all fidgeted and swallowed hard as they knew he was calling a Master Aura Reader to come and take a look at their links.

"You think they'll be able to find us?" Mikey asked as he carefully peeked out through the boarded up window at Antonio's Pizza for any sign of their girls.

"Of course" Donnie nodded looking up "Catharine can track us using her link" he stated. He remembered the blond telling him she was an aura reader and it allowed her to see people's auras. It was how she never got lost when she went into the woods by herself and knew how to get back. He winced at the thought, those were the unhappiest days of his life so far.

"Oh? And may I ask exactly who it is you're talking about?" Their father's voice rang from behind them. They laughed nervously. They had yet to tell him of everything that had happen outside of New York.

"Well…you see…" Donnie said scratching the back of his neck sheepily and began to tell him everything that had transpired in the last few months they had been away. Master Splinter listen carefully a small frown forming on his face.

It wasn't long until a Master aura reader showed up at their selected tent. She hummed and began to circle them individually inspecting each of their links carefully pausing in front of Skyler. She placed a hand gently on Skyler's link and tsked sadly.

"Poor girl, to experience something like that so young" t he MAR (Master Aura Reader) murmured softly.

"Well?" Joshua asked.

"Do you want the good news or the bad news first?" The MAR tilted her head boredly.

"Good news?" Joshua said unsure.

"They'll heal"

"And the bad news?"

"These two are marked" she said placing a hand on Nia's and Skyler's shoulders making the two girls flinch and their eyes widen "I understand why she was marked, her bond was broken and her mate tried to fix it" she explained to Joshua of what happened to Skyler "But why are you?" She questioned Nia.

"It's none of your business" Nia snarled smacking her hand away and stormed out of the tent. Joshua sighed.

The MAR straightened up "Well then, who's the one that fixed her bond?"

"That would be me" Cat admitted looking down at her feet.

"You did a terrible job" she stated plainly.

"I know" Cat muttered softly.

"Hey!" Kayla protested "She saved her life! If it wasn't for her—"

"You didn't let me finish" the woman sighed shutting Kayla up immediately "As I was saying, you did a terrible job, however Soul-Cura is not an easy technique to perform. You did better than most advanced pupils" she commented.

Cat raised her head surprised "Really?"

"Yes" the woman smiled softly "You know, I'm in need of a new apprentice are you interested?"

"You want me as your apprentice?" Cat said excitedly.

"You show great potential" she nodded.

"Yes! I won't let you down!" Cat grinned.

"Good, we'll start training a week from now and from now on you will be calling me Madam Evelyn"

"Ma'am yes ma'am!" Cat saluted teasingly.

"I can already tell you're going to be a handful" Madam Evelyn sighed.

Joshua snorted "You have no idea" and Kayla and Skyler laughed in agreement.

She had walked to one of the small parks in Divinity. Walking up to one of the swings and sat down swing softly while glaring at the ground. She felt a small tug on her shirt and her head snapped to the side, glaring harder at whoever it was that interrupted. She froze when she saw two children flinch and look up at her wide eyed and slightly scared. Her eyes soften and they seemed to relax a bit before one of them spoke up.

"Miss, can me and my friend play on the swing? Please?"

She nodded numbly and stood up letting the two children take both swings.

"Thank you!" the second child grinned and the two kids began to challenge each other on who can swing the highest. She walked over to one of the picnic tables and sat on the table resting her feet on the bench.

"I knew I would find you here" Joshua hummed taking a seat next to her. She was about to leave when he grabbed her arm and pulled her back gently and sat her back down. She knew that they were going to talk whether she liked it or not.

"Look, I'm not entirely sure what happened out there, but what I do know is you girls left some parts out of the story to either not make me upset or get angry at your girls mates, whatever it was I have a pretty good idea. Madam Evelyn already told me how each of your links are Skyler's was the worst off, Catharine's was fractured and Kayla's was only a minor one, yours however was fine" he sighed running a hand through his head tiredly "I just want to know why you would let him mark you when nothing was wrong with your bond"

"It wasn't me!" she yelled finally having enough "I was angry at him. We got in a fight. I had enough of us arguing and I was leaving him to go back to the farm house. He grabbed my sleeve. I told him to let go and he refused. So when I tried to pull away it ripped" she explained slowly wrapping her arms around her body "…He saw my scars and got angry when I wouldn't answer his question of who gave them to me and then he went feral and marked me" she muttered out angrily.

"He did what?!" Joshua's eyes blazed in anger. Nia's eyes widen as he stood up and began walking back to the tent in a quick pace. She quickly stood up and ran after him clutching the back of his cloak in fear.

"Let go Nia" he growled turning to face her.

She shook her head "Not if you're going to hurt him"

"He forced you!" he hissed "You know very well that is intolerable and is punishable!" he glared at her.

"You can't do that to him! He doesn't know!" she argued. Sure she was mad at Leo for marking her but he was still her soul-urge. She didn't want him to be punished.

"I know he's your soul-urge but that doesn't excuse his actions, stop trying to protect him" he said harshly.

"Then I let him" she said lamely.

"You're lying" his eyes narrowed.

She swallowed thickly "I am but no one would believe you if this went to the council and I said I let him mark me" she challenged him.

"Why are you doing this? You just said you were angry at him"

"Why do you care! Just leave it alone! I can handle it!" she snapped back and Joshua's eyes soften.

"I care for you Nia. You, Catharine and Skyler are just as much my daughters as Kayla is" he said softly placing a hand on her shoulder "and it makes me protective of you girls"

"I know" she mumbled out "But I don't need you protecting me with this. I can handle it" she replied back stubbornly. He looked into her eyes before finally submitting.

"If that's what you want, so be it" he sighed and wrapped an arm around her shoulder and tugged her to his side "Why don't we go grab something to eat with the others?" he offered with a small smile and she nodded.

So I'm hoping to add a little more background on how Kayla's dad came to be Nia's, Catharine's and Skyler's guardian (just a hint if you guys haven't figured that out)
