"Don't you dare, turtle!" Shredder roared, his armour screeching as he ran as fast as his could. Donnie stopped running and batted the orb away with his Bo staff. After attempting to get away from the armoured man, Donnie felt a hard grip on his shell and then found himself being slammed against the ground.

Pressing the blades of his gauntlet against Donnie's legs, Shredder smiled cruelly with bloodlust before a shuriken suddenly smacked against the side of his helmet, his concentration shoved aside in order to see who had thrown the sharp weapon.

"Karai..." was all that the Shredder said as the kunoichi stood, holding several shuriken with the Hamato crest carved into them. Before the Shredder could move or speak again, Karai simply pointing to the sky, causing both Shredder and Donnie to look up at a sudden explosion, shattering the walls and glass of an upper-floor of Shredder's base.

"Yeah!" screamed a familiar voice as the sight of Snakeweed dived out of the destroyed wall with Angel on his back. As soon as Snakeweed jumped out, he was followed by the other mutants who had been imprisoned by the Shredder, including Slash who landed on the ground, causing cracks to form on the ground he now stood on.

"It's over, Shredder," Karai glared, pulling out future Leonardo's other katana blade and pointing it at the mutants who surrounded the human soldiers and then towards the three younger turtles who had cornered Fishface. "You've lost."

"Surrender now," April added, watching as the Shredder slowly moved away from Donatello.

"The Shredder never surrenders to anybody," he replied coldly, ignoring Donnie standing up and instead turning to Karai. "You always were a nuisance," he added before beginning to chuckle darkly. "You honestly think you've won? The soldiers patrolling the city will be here soon and there are more than the ones you see here, fools."

While the Shredder was distracted, Donnie quietly crept back and picked up the Kraang orb, examining it before freezing when Fishface noticed him.

"Master!" the mutant fish screamed. "The turtle-!" he was cut off as younger Raph tackled him to floor while Leo and Mikey tried pulling their brother off of Fishface.

"What?" Shredder glanced over his shoulder and widened his eyes before breathing heavily under his mask. "Don't you dare, Donatello," he warned, ignoring the shuriken stars hitting against his armour as he slowly advanced toward Donnie who glanced at Leo and Mikey who were holding Raph, who was currently knelt on the ground panting with anger before looking at the orb.

"I do dare," Donnie replied angrily, suddenly throwing the Kraang device on the ground, raising his Bo staff and releasing the blade. Donnie glowered at the Shredder before bringing down his weapon and stabbing right through the device, causing it to spark up violently while thick smoke rose in the air.

"WHAT HAVE YOU DONE?!" Shredder roared, furiously running at Donnie until Karai tackled the armoured tyrant to the floor.

"Run, Donatello!" she yelled, struggling to hold the Shredder down as he thrashed around and cursed at her actions.

Dropping to the floor, Donnie glanced over at his three brothers who were beginning to jump around in alarm once they noticed that their bodies were beginning to fade away into a bright light.

"What the heck is going on dudes?" Mikey yelped, watching as his hands slowly began to disappear.

"Donnie?!" Leo yelled, his eyes filled with panic before his form completely vanished along with Mikey and Raph, who were clinging together in fright.

"What the hell?" future Raph spat, placing his arm around Donnie's shell and staring at the space where the three younger turtles had previously been stood. "You sent them back?"

"I hope so," Donnie breathed.

A chorus of "How did you do that?!" began between future Michelangelo and Raphael until April caught up to where the turtles were standing.

"They'll be sent back to where they left," April added, rushing over and also putting her arm around Donnie comfortingly. "Which'll be in the middle of a street after they threw themselves into the portal that brought me back here. But," she bit her lip worriedly. "How are you going to get home?"

"I don't know," Donnie answered honestly. "If they leave the Kraang orb alone, I'm sure they'll find a way to bring me back."

"Oomph!" Mikey landed on his plastron as the bright light caused them to fall into the floor of the street of present-day New York, luckily for them, it was night-time.

"Well that wasn't fun," Raph groaned, nudging Leo who was sprawled out in a star shape next to him. "You okay, brother?"

"Ughh," was the reply Raph got from Leo.

"He's fine," Raph smirked as he turned to Mikey, who was looking around worriedly. "Something wrong, Mikey?"

"Yeah," Mikey whispered, looking at Raph and Leo sadly. "Where's Donnie?"
