Chapter 28
'Cause your hands maybe strong
But the feelings are all wrong
Your heart is as black
Your heart is as black
Oh, your heart is as black as night
Your heart is as black as night by melody gardot. So yeah last chapter was pretty short, but it escalated quickly. I don't really have much to say on the whole idea so, ONWARD TO THE BATTLE FIELD!
After about an hour of screaming, Raven sat on the foot of the door crying. Uriah, the person who she confided in, the person she trusted, was only putting up with her to steal her magic and get back at Klarion for god only knew. So it was official, the world was playing a sick joke on her. Why did all the people she harbored feelings for end up lying and betraying her? Mary (who was really Zatanna,) Klarion, Rick and his suffer friend, and now, Uriah. Raven bit her lip as she dried her eyes with her sleeve of her shirt, her cheeks were stained black from her crying(see Klarion get's a girl chap 29). Cherie Curie mewed and curled up next to his master.
"You were right Cherie, Uriah really was just using me." She sobbed, "Why do I keep falling for people who just want to use me."
Cherie jumped onto Raven's shoulders and began nuzzling her cheek. Never in his life had he wished to be wrong. If Uriah actually got away with steeling Raven's power, he'd lose the connection he had to his beloved master. He had to think of a way to free Raven from that bastard. But how? Raven was forever trapped inside the mansion unless Uriah willed it, and that wasn't going to happen any time soon. The cold hearted greedy bastard! He would pay greatly for what he did to his dear master, he just had to think of a way to help Raven escape.
"Raven dear, can you use your magic. Perhaps a counter spell for this barrier?" He tried. Raven shook her head.
"I can't do anything from here." She said, "I don't even know what kind of incantation he used, hell for all I know he could be using some kind of charm to keep me here."
"But not me." The white and black cat purred, Raven scowled.
"What makes you think he hasn't already thought about that? He could have put up a spell that would kill you the moment you set foot outside this room!" She shouted, Cherie narrowed his eyes, "You're not going anywhere."
"But Raven—"
"No!" she screamed as she started crying once again. "I'm not going to lose the one person I know I can trust to that maniac."
Cherie got quiet. Raven looked so vulnerable, even during her spat with Klarion, she never looked to alone, so helpless. It bothered the familiar, he had to do something, even if Raven didn't want to risk it, Cherie was ready to do whatever it took to save her. However, he wouldn't be able to do anything with Raven's knowledge. For now, however, he was going to stay by his master's side.

Later that day, Uriah returned to Raven's room, he found her lying on the bed. Her back was toward him, but she sat up the moment she heard the door open. She glared and grabbed the closest thing to her (the lamp on the nightstand) and threw it at Uriah. Before the object hit him, however, Uriah put up his hand and stopped the lamp mid flight. The kind and tender smile he once gave Raven, now replaced with a scowl.
"Now that's enough of that." He said, flicking his wrist and sending the lamp crashing to the ground. Raven glared.
"I should do more than throw a lamp at you, you cold blooded snake!" she shouted, Uriah's lips curled into an evil smirk.
"Flattery will get you nowhere my dear." He said.
"Why are you even in here? I thought you wanted me just right for your stupid magic stealing thing." She hissed, her finger tips sparking with black electricity. Uriah crossed his arms, as if he was amused with Raven's sudden burst of anger.
"Need I a reason to venture within my own home?" He asked opening his arms and dipping a bit. Cherie hissed from Raven's bed.
"I don't think you actually own this place. You probably killed some otherworldly lord to get it. Bastard." She grumbled, Uriah scowled.
"Come now Raven, you don't honestly believe I would do you?" he asked in a voice that sounded as if he had been hurt. Raven sneered.
"Now that I know your real face, I think you're capable of anything!" She shouted as she shook away the sparks from her fingers. Mindful that he could probably steal her magic at anytime.
"You are correct, I am capable of doing anything. After all, I managed to bed you." He said then scoffed, "Of course that took little effort on my part."
Raven's face burned with anger and embarrassment. She had let Uriah get so close to her that she gave in and slept with him. That was when the snake revealed his true nature. Raven let out an angered scream and lunged at Uriah, only to be attacked by his familiar Draco. It had transformed and had coiled itself around Raven's body. Cherie hissed, ready to lung only to be trapped into a magic bubble cast by Uriah.
"Cherie! Let him go Uriah!" Raven shouted, unable to move from Draco's hold. Uriah gave an arrogant smirk and walked toward her. He placed his index finger under Raven's chin and lifted her face up to look at him.
"Fear not, no harm will come to the mangy feline." He said, "I still need you here, and whilst you are human turned witch-girl, ending the familiar's life would also sever your link here."
"You're a sick, twisted fuck, you know that!?" Raven shouted still struggling against the large snake.
"Sticks and stone, dear. Sticks and stones." He said, "I just wanted to see that adorable fighting spirit of yours. You know, before I ultimately drive it out of you later."
With that Uriah snapped his fingers and his familiar returned to his shoulders and back to normal size. Raven glared and tried once again to attack Uriah, only to have it back fire, and she found herself entangled in his arms as he held her close. Uriah's brows rose as he once again gave her his amused and arrogant smirk as he released Cherie.
"Careful Raven, I'd hate to for you to ruin that mortal body of yours." He said, "If your body is damaged you'll be no good for me after words."
"After words? You plan on keeping me after words?" Raven shouted.
"Indeed, to add to my harem of women." He explained, "After all you're not an unattractive human female."
"Is that supposed to be some kind of compliment?" She hissed, "You creep! I'd never let you touch me like that again!"
"Don't be sure about that." Uriah said. He stared deep into Raven's eyes, as he ran a hand down her abdomen until the tips of his fingers peeked under the rim of Raven's jeans. "As you'll soon learn, I can be very persuasive."
Raven glared as she did her best to keep her cool under the circumstances. However the memories of the night before kept returning. if it wasn't for Cherie's voice hissing at her in her head she may not have been able to snap out of it. It was like she was under some sort of trance every time he touched her.
"Just when are you going to do this magic theft thing exactly?" She hissed. Uriah's brows rose.
"Eager are we?" He asked, Raven glared. "You know it will do you no good to try and escape. So I can tell you that much I suppose."
"Arrogant prick." Raven hissed as Uriah released her and gave her a slight push away from him.
"A spell this fragile requires a delicate night. A new moon," He explained ignoring Raven's insult, "That would be three days from now. Not enough time to call for help. Not that you actually could."
Without divulging another word to Raven, Uriah turned on his heel and walked out of the room, "Oh but please do not coop yourself up in this room. You are able to leave the room. Just not the building."
"Piss off." She hissed. Uriah shrugged, it wasn't as though he really cared where she passed the time. So long as she stayed put. Silently he made his way back down the hall, as his familiar slithered up his arm.
"You do realize as you prattled on about the night of your ritual. The human's familiar scurried off." He hissed, "He will be able to summon help from an outside force."
"I know. I let him go." Uriah said. Draco hissed.
"YOU WHAT?!"
"I let the mangy cat go."
"Why?"
"I want Klarion to know I have his little girlfriend. I want him to know that I will be the one to take the woman's power, and I want him to know the face of the Witch-boy who will send him to his down fall." Uriah growled, his anger and anticipation rising.
Meanwhile Cherie managed to escape Uriah's mansion. It was a big gamble, but he had to do it. To save his master. Cherie looked back at the large building where Raven was being held prisoner. His dear master.
"Please hold on Raven dear." He mewed to himself. The small white and black cat looked around, careful to see that no one was watching him as he ran as fast as he could away from Uriah's mansion, to find help. From who, only the heavens knew.
