I unlocked the door to James' house and entered with Logan singing a One Direction song... for a drunk guy he sounded pretty good, I preferred his version.

"Make your self at home." I said as I walked in to the kitchen and placed the keys and my cell phone on the rare bit of kitchen counter that had escaped ingredients being chucked over it.

Logan walked in and assessed the kitchen, then assessed my face and hair now he could see me in some light and not the darkness of the cab. "You look... delicious." He said with a sway as he sat in one of the stools and admired my cake mix body .

I tilted my head at him. "James started it! Logan, I meant for you to just send a cab, you didn't have to get in it." I said with a yawn. I was ready for the day to end.

"Where is the fun in paying for a fun ride in a taxi cab and not getting in it Gabs... besides I was bored... thought we could watch tv!" He said pointing towards the lounge in James' house.

"Well I'm not really in the mood to do anything... I just want to go to bed." I said quietly.

Logan looked at me. "Gaby don't be boring! We have a whole night ahead of us, let's have a few drinks and just forget who we are for once. It was you that gave me that advice, and now I'm giving it to you." He said getting up and heading straight to the kitchen cabinet that contained all of the alcohol that James possessed. Logan had obviously been in this house as much as James had been in his.

"One drink!" I agreed.

"Okay... one drink." Logan replied as he pulled a bottle of Bacardi out of the cupboard and a pint glass. He filled the glass half with the bacardi then stepped carefully over to the fridge avoiding food and water marks that were spilt all over the place. "Diet coke... or... shit James has a really boring fridge." He chuckled pulling out a flavoured bottle of sparkling water and laughing at James's 'my body is a machine' fridge goodies.

I laughed at him. "Diet coke then I guess. I'm not drinking all that... I will end up paralytic." I said as I looked at the demonic looking half pint of Bacardi.

Logan slammed the fridge shut. "Maybe that's my plan!" He said with a wink and filled the remainder of the glass up with coke.

I raised an eyebrow at him. "Where is yours then?" I said noticing that he only had one glass.

"Do I need more?" He replied.

I looked Logan and his swaying body up and down. "I guess not. Listen, I'm going to have a shower and get all this crap out my hair..." I said as I looked at Logan just shaking his head at me. "... what?" I asked with an amused smile on my face.

"You! You are just... the worst Logan girl in the history of Logan girls." He said grinning.

"I actually take offence to that Henderson!" I said back to him as he passed me the drink. I took a sip and coughed. "Fuck! That is strong." I said placing the glass down on the counter. "Why am I the worst Logan girl?" I asked.

Logan picked a dried clump of cake mix from my hair. "Because you have me all alone, drunk n' shit and all you want to do is have a shower and go to bed... think of all the girls that would want to be you right now." He said passing me the drink again.

I took it and had another sip. "I'm beginning to think you are a bit of a flirt with a drink in you." I said narrowing my eyes. I drank a little more. Logan was making me nervous.

A chuckle erupted from Logan's mouth. "I like flirting... it's harmless." He said, which relaxed me a little.

"Well I'm glad I won't have to beat you away with a stick." I smiled.

"No... I might enjoy that anyway. I like you though Gaby. We get along well don't we! I really missed you not being at mine tonight." He said honestly.

I blushed. "Logan Henderson considers me a friend!" I said with a laugh as I took another sip of my drink.

Logan took the glass from me and has a swig himself before handing it back. "You are different, you aren't like Viola. You don't have an ulterior motive with me."

"I don't have ulterior motives with anyone... apart from the odd cab fare" I said with a smile.

"Do you know how Viola and I got together?" He asked.

I shook my head. He hadn't spoken about Viola properly for a week or more. If he wanted to open up then I was ready and welcome to that. "No, how?" I asked.

"I begged her... tried my hardest to sell her my good points, bought her flowers, took her to dinner, showered her in gifts and affection until she finally caved and agreed to be mine." He said.

I stayed silent, it didn't sound like the romantic beginning I thought he was going to say. I drank more of my Bacardi and coke.

"You Gaby... I see you are special. I've been spending all my money on these pretty girls and alcohol but they have nothing on you. I'm crazy jealous of James for having a girl like you." He said softly.

My heart melted at such beautiful words from a guy I idolized. "That is such a sweet thing to say Logan... thank you!" I said walking towards him and gave him a well deserved hug.

Logan's arms wrapped tightly around me. "I'm sorry." He whispered in to my ear.

"Don't be silly... there is nothing to be sorry for." I said giving him a kiss on the cheek and breaking free from our cuddle.

"There is... you might not have an ulterior motive but tonight... Gaby tonight, I do." He said then leaned in and kissed me on the lips.

For the split second that I allowed it to linger I tasted alcohol on his tongue, then pushed him away from me.

I looked at him for several seconds in shock, Logan stared right back at me. His eyes looked almost black in the artificial light of the kitchen.

I felt my pulse quicken with nerves. I had just been chucked out of Logan's friend zone and I had no clue what to do about that.

Logan reached his hand out and took mine in his. I was rendered useless. My chest heaving in and out was the only part of me that moved.

I was expecting the second kiss, I knew it was coming, the way he looked at me and the way he held my hand. Even by the way the awkward silence fell on my ears. I expected it but still did nothing to stop it.

His lips touched mine, and mine joined in...
