DISCLAIMER: Hello again my friends! I hope that you will continue to support and motivate me through however long it takes me to write this. I apologize in advance for my terrible grammer and spelling. I try the best I can, but I don't have much time to read over it and correct it. I am trying to update sooner so I may be a little rushed and pressed for time to get this out there. I will do my best and may a Pokeball fall on my head if I am lying. Thank you for your time. (So formal.)
The morning started off rather quiet. Both the girls had gotten up, changed cloths, brushed their teeth, and went downstairs with having only said a very few words to eachother. A maid had knocked on the door and showed them to the dining room to which they found Tamaki sitting at the table with a big grin on his face.
"So this is what commoners look like when they first wake up? Messy hair, wrinkled cloths, and tired expressions….How odd." Tamaki examined.
"Ya, and this is what commoners do when they want people to drop dead." Mercy said as she threw a roll of toilet paper at his head. It was a direct hit and caused Tamaki to fall out of his chair. Faith looked at Mercy.
"Don't worry, it's not you're toilet paper." Mercy assured to Faiths relief. The maids had come in with breakfast and set it on the table. Just the smell of it had caused both of their mouths to water, while Tamaki just sat there looking normal...As normal as he could look anyway. They all dug in, Faith and Mercy were shoveling it into their mouths and Tamaki ate elegantly as he watched them in awe.
"D-do you like it?" He asked with wide eyes. Neither of the girls could reply because of all the food they had stuffed in their mouths, but decided to nod. Tamaki beamed and sparkles fell from the sky. Mercy watched the strange glitter fall while Faith just covered her food protectively. They decided to just let Tamaki have his moment and continue eating. The food reminded them of the time they woke up and ate breakfast with the twins in their home. The food was equally as delicious, but this time nothing stopped them from digging in. They all ate until they were full, which took quite a while. The maids swooped in and swiftly took the dishes away before either of the girls had the chance to offer their help.
"It's so adorable to see you're happy faces when you eat. How would you like to be my daughter's?" Tamaki asked with big, gleaming eyes.
"What on earth are you talking about?" Mercy asked with a mouth full of food.
"Be my daughters! I'll buy you cute dresses and-" Tamaki was cut short by another roll of toilet paper hitting his head. This time it was Faith who threw it. When Mercy gave her a questioning look, Faith just smiled.
"It was a sacrifice I was willing to make." She said, her grin growing. Tamaki clawed his way up and started grumbling louder.
"Where are you getting all the toilet paper?" Tamaki asked loudly. Faith and Mercy just looked at each other before shrugging.
"No way. Don't tell me you're going through your rebellious stage already? It seems like just yesterday you were my little girls, now you are just mean! I will not accept this. Go to your room immediately and think about what you have done!" Tamaki cried, tears falling like waterfalls. Faith and Mercy stared at him like he was speaking a different language. At first they thought he was joking, but it wasn't till they found themselves locked up in their room that they discovered he wasn't. Ten minutes passed.
"Why are we in here again?" Mercy asked dumbfounded.
"Tamaki grounded us." Faith mumbled back. "He's a lot stronger than I thought. Who knew he had the power to drag both our sorry butts back to our rooms?" She asked.
"What I don't get in why he was crying the entire time." Mercy sighed, rolling her eyes. Five more minutes passed before either one of them said a word.
"It's only 11:29am. How long does Tamaki intend on keeping us locked up in here?" Faith asked, completely bored.
"I don't know. He's probably sitting right outside our door crying, so don't talk to loudly." Mercy whispered.
"Mercy?" Faith asked quietly.
"Ya?" Mercy replied.
"Are you okay? You seem….stressed."
"I'm fine. I'm just worried about where we are going to live from here on out." Mercy whispered even softer. That was part of it, but she was mostly worried about having to keep a secret from Faith. It felt wrong. At the same time, Mercy could not take it anymore. All the problums and issues that followed Faith around was starting to become to overbearing. She couldnt take it much longer.
"Okay." Faith muttered back.
"I want to go see what condition our 'home' is in, but I don't know when we will get the chance too. Between Tamaki and the twins, we don't have much time for ourselves." Mercy trailed off. After a second, Faith sat up.
"Why don't we go now?" She asked happily.
"How? Tamaki probably has the whole place on lock down."
"We could sneak out. We are going through our rebellious stage, remember?" Faith offered.
"Even if I agreed to that, how do you plan on sneaking out?" Mercy asked. As soon as the question left her lips, both Faith and Mercy turned their heads to see a rather large window calling their names. It took them 25 minutes to climb down the window and jump from different parts of the roof. Their room had been rather high up. High enough to make both the girls reconsider, but when they heard Tamaki crying about 'grounding' them they decided to take their chance with the window. When they finally made it down, they sprinted as far away from the mansion as possible and prayed that nobody had seen them.
"Dang that was difficult." Faith panted.
"You're telling me. I'm the one who almost fell off the roof while you jumped around without a care in the world. You're usually so clumsy; what happened?" Mercy panted back.
"I swear that cat costume they made me wear, increased my agility." Faith said with wide eyes. They continued down the street until they finally reached their home. It was a terrible mess.
"Oh goodness, this is not good." Faith sighed.
"Really? I thought it was absolutely fabulous!" Mercy spouted back sarcastically. They walked into the house with caution and looked around. Almost the entire ceiling had collapsed as well as the walls.
"Hey, well at least we have a sun roof now." Faith said positively.
"A sun roof? More like no roof. Look at this place! What the heck are we going to do?" Mercy shouted in distress.
"Calm down! We have lived in a lot worse." Faith pointed out.
"Yes but at least we were-" Mercy stopped herself by biting her lip. What was she going to do now? This was defiantly going to ruin her plans. If she was worried about Faith before, this was defiantly enough to push the panic level to extreme.
"Umm, you okay over there?" Faith asked curiously.
"Fine" Mercy managed. She cleared her throat "Just fine."
"If u say so. I am going to the bedroom…or at least what's left of it. I might be able to salvage something." Faith said as she turned her back and left. Mercy looked down at the debris on the floor.
'What on earth am I going to do now? I guess I could just postpone it till we find another placed to live, but who knows how long that will take? I mean it's not like I have a particular day that I was planning to go, but I need to go….soon. Faith is already starting to suspect something; I don't think I can keep this up for much longer. I hate lying to her, but I don't see any other choice! Jeez, just the image of what she might be like after I….Agh! This is driving me insane! I can't go back now; I just need to figure out something and fast. I cant take this anymore. If i have to keep going on like this, i think that i might just snap.' Mercy was in a deep thought when Faith came barging back into the 'room.'
"Look what I found! It's Meowie!" Faith said as she shook the black plush cat in her hands. Mercy looked up slowly. She stared at the toy for a while before her brain registered what it was.
'That's right; I brought it here with me, didn't I?' Mercy wondered silently.
"Wow. I haven't seen you get that exited in a long time." Faith said sarcastically.
"Sorry." Mercy replied, shoving her thoughts to the back of her mind.
"You alright?" Faith asked in concern.
"Great. Just wonderful." Mercy replied quickly.
"Are you sure? You have been acting really strange for quite some time now. Are you sure you're not sick? Maybe we should take you to the hospital or maybe have-"
"I'm fine! Just stressed out. I have no idea how you managed to stay so happy because I am in way over my head." Mercy snapped.
"Oh….." Faith fell quiet.
"I am so sorry. I didn't mean for it to come out that harshly." Mercy apologized. Faith forced her lips up into a smile.
"It's alright! This is just a bump in the road! As long as we stick together we can overcome anything, right?" Faith smiled, slightly easier now. Mercy looked down.
"…Right." She whispered back. Stick together? Mercy had to believe that Faith would be fine without her. If not then….No, that wasn't even an option. Everything was going to turn out fine.
"Meowie! I haven't seen her in forever!" Mercy said with a plastered smile. Faith knew that Mercy wasn't acting like herself and that this was extremely out of character for her, but she just let it pass.
"I thought Meowie was a boy." Faith stated questioningly.
"Of course not; that would be ridiculo-" Mercy thought for a moment. "Actually, I honestly can't remember."
"Haha, and to think he/she used to be sooooo important to you." Faith slurred exaggeratingly.
"I guess my priorities have changed." Mercy offered a weak smile back at Faith. Things got quite between the two so they decided to walk around and find anything that could be of use to them. Sadly they were having no such luck.
"The storm left absolutely nothing left for us." Faith sighed drastically.
"No kidding." Mercy complained back. After a few more minutes of searching, they noticed a long, black limo drive up beside them. Tamaki burst through the door and came at them at full speed.
"Faith! Mercy! I thought you guys were dead!" Tamaki cried.
"I told you they would be here." Kyoya stated, rolling down the window to the passenger's seat.
"You called Kyoya?" Mercy asked with an arched eyebrow to show that she was a force to be reckoned with.
"And me"
"And us."
"Us too."
Added Haruhi, the twins, and Honey (Mori included of course) as the all crowded together to peer out the back window.
"H-how d-did you g-guys get o-out?" Tamaki hiccupped, tears still streaming down his eyes. "I had s-security guards a-and everyt-thing."
"We climbed out a window." Mercy said blankly.
"And we didn't do a very good job." Faith added with a snicker. Tamaki's mouth dropped and his eyes grew wide. After all the tears and screams subsided, Tamaki gave the girls a very long (and unwanted) lecture. The other hosts sat in the background, letting Tamaki take position as the father. The girls looked down at their feet, completing the perfect image of two scolded children. Haruhi sat inside the limo, basking in the AC with Kyoya. Mori was standing next to Honey, who was climbing all the trees in the area one-by-one. The twins on the other hand were sitting on the grass, facing one another as they started to draw in the dirt with sticks. No one knew for sure how long the lectures lasted before an eerie silence filled the air. Even Honey had noticed it enough to climb down from the tree and stand quietly next to Mori. They were all staring at the remains of the house.
"To be serious for a moment, we need to find permanent living arrangements for you guys. We will look into a new home for you two. In the mean time, you can stay with one of u-"
"No." The host club turned to Mercy, only to discover it wasn't her who has said it. It was Faith.
"I appreciate your offer, but this is our problem. I would rather you guys not get involved." Faith finished. They all stared at her. All except for Mercy, who couldn't even bring her eyes near her.
"Faith, you don't have anywhere to stay. Why not let us help?" Tamaki asked.
"Because we don't need your help. I will admit that our run-ins with you have been quite... helpful at the time, but I feel like it would be best to become less involved. Don't worry though, me and Mercy will figure something out." Faith grinned. "Right Mercy?"
Mercy flinched at the sound of her name. She didn't take her gaze off the floor.
"Ummm….Right?" Faith asked again after a while.
'What is the matter with you? Respond. Respond!'
"A-actually." Her voice was barely a whisper, but she still managed to trip over her words. Everyone became even more focused on her. Mercy coughed and straightened her back.
"Actually I think we should take them up on their offer." Mercy said strongly. The only response she got, were the dumbfounded looks on everyone's faces.
"As much as I would love to get away from you guys, I think that it would be best to put pride aside and accept your help." Mercy finished of her words with a forced amount of strength and security. Everyone continued to stare, only this time it was Faith who kept her eyes averted.
'What is she doing? Mercy knows better than to act so foolishly. I can't believe she'd...No, No. I am sure that Mercy has a plan. She always has a plan. I trust her far too much to have any doubts. Just go with it Faith.' Her mind felt slightly more at ease, though her body and facial expression remained just as tense.
"Well…I guess that's settled then!" Tamaki said happily as he shook of the shock. "Now who wants to come home with daddy?"
AUTHORS NOTE: Hey again. I know I haven't updated in forever (again…) and I am sorry (again…). I really have nothing to say for myself…..again…. Oookay well I made this chapter longer than usual but I'm afraid it's all pretty tedious. The past few chapters have been kinda like fillers till I felt up to actually writing the main part and I finally, FINALLY got to a good point. I sort of want to start writing longer chapters only because I feel really bad for being so slow on the updating. I hope that you guys aren't extremely bored/annoyed with me. Also, I looked back and re-read a few of my chapters and ooooohhh noooo my spelling/grammar/editing was (is?) terrible. I am now starting to be more careful when writing but it isn't the most…..exiting thing to do in my life. Please be patient and I hope you will continue reading (and commenting 3)
