Chapter 29
Disclaimer: None of this happened. This is fiction, and I made it all up. I only own Al because I made her. Nothing in this fictional tale reflects on the real life people behind the characters in here, as, again, I made it all up.
A/N: Sorry that I haven't updated in a month. I haven't abandoned this story, and I don't plan on it...especially because I have the next bunch of chapters written. It's just a matter of finding time between working and spending the weekends in NY. But things are finally calming down, so hopefully, you'll get the next chapter fairly soon. Hope you're all still into this. Let me know what you're thinking. I promise...big things to come :) Love you guys XoXoXo
"No. AJ knows that I won't go to her shows. I don't want to be around any of those assholes ever again," Phil protested. Al was trying to convince him to go to the WWE's show with her.
"Come on. You need to be supportive of your fiancée."
"She understands, Al. I really can't go. I'll drop you off, but I can't go."
"Phil, don't even try to give me that bullshit. You trusted these people enough to have me out on the road with them. So, you can suck it up and come to the show. You can kill two birds with one stone...hang out with your best friend and support your future wife's very successful career, like a good husband would."
"Al, we don't have to waste any time with this conversation. I have no interest in being around any of those people," he insisted.
She folded her arms over her chest. "Don't you dare give me that shit. You know I'm just as stubborn as you are."
"Seriously? Come on, Al. You know there's a lot of bad blood there."
"Does that matter more than AJ?" Al questioned.
Phil groaned. "You're the devil. You do know that, right?"
"Yes, I do," she replied with a satisfied smirk on her face.
"I can't believe you're seriously talking me into this," he breathed, shaking his head. "I never wanted to go back."
"Yeah, but you'll be with AJ and me."
Phil rolled his eyes. "You're so spoiled."
Al nodded. "Agreed."
"Am I gonna see you and Jon have those little cartoon hearts popping up over your heads every time you look at each other?" Phil teased her.
She rolled her eyes. "You're a real pain in my ass, you know that right?"
He smirked. "You're just saying that because you're being ridiculous. You just won't admit that the two of you are together," he shot back at her.
"Because we're not, you crazy bastard."
"Uh huh. You forget how well I know you, Allie. I know you better than...probably anyone else...except for Lizzy," he reminded her.
"You do know me very well, Philly. But you're also blinded by the fact that you're bit overprotective of me."
Phil rolled his eyes. "You're ridiculous, Allie. I know you so much better than this. And you know that I can see what's going on in your head."
"I hope you can see what I'm thinking right now," she muttered, with an eye roll of her own.
He gave her a look. "Hey! No need to get all bitchy with me."
She smiled sarcastically. "I beg to differ."
"Of course you do," he mumbled.
That evening, Phil and Al walked into the backstage entrance of the arena, flashing her All Access pass at security, as she dragged her best friend along with her. She immediately began looking for AJ's locker room with Phil trailing behind, his head down.
Al quickly found her friend's locker room and knocked on it. It opened. AJ smiled upon seeing her friend. "Hey Al!" Then, she noticed her fiancée standing there. "Oh my God!" she squeaked, her hands covering her mouth. "What are you doing here?" she asked, clearly surprised to see him.
"Hey babe. Al made me come. Besides, how could I pass up a chance to see you?" he rhetorically asked, stepping up and pulling her into his arms. He leaned down, giving her a short but affectionate kiss.
"I'm so happy that you're here, Phil," she said, her eyes focused on her soon-to-be husband.
"Me, too. I'm happy I came to see you."
"I'm gonna go wander around a little bit. You two...enjoy," Al said, heading off towards Jon's locker room.
"Alright. We'll see you in a little while," AJ said, as she and Phil made their way into her locker room.
Al was glad to find Jon's room fairly quickly and knocked on the door.. It opened, and she was greeted with the smiling face of the man that she had been spending all of her time with.
"Hey Al," he greeted, moving out of her way. She walked inside. He shut the door behind her. He turned around and pulled her into his arms. Al wrapped her arms around him. "I've missed you, beautiful," he told her.
"I've missed you, too," she told him. He leaned in and brought his lips onto hers. She quickly warmed up to the kiss.
"Did you see AJ?" he questioned.
"Uh huh. Phil's with her."
Jon pulled back, a confused look etched on his face. "Phil's here?" he asked her, in almost disbelief.
"Yeah," she replied.
"He's gonna figure this out," he told her.
Al rolled her eyes. "Oh calm down. Don't get all crazy about it. The more paranoid that you are, the more he believes he's figured it out. This morning, we had a whole argument about it," she brushed it off as no big deal.
"This is a bigger deal than you're making it out to be," he replied.
"Jon, listen, I'm an adult. You don't have to make me understand that this could get really bad, if he finds out. But Phil also doesn't make my decisions for me. He's not gonna find out anyway." She paused. "I just wanted to see you. I've been with Phil for most of today."
"I just don't want to have any problems with Phil," he said. The truth was that Jon knew that it would be bad, if Phil found out. Phil was paying him to take care of Al and keep an eye on her...not sleep with her. And most of all, he didn't want Al to find out that he was getting paid. He didn't plan on taking the money anyway, but it still looked bad.
"It'll be fine. Just keep denying it. And it will be okay. He has no proof. Even if he has his little suspicions, he won't flip out about it until he has concrete proof."
Jon nodded. "Alright."
Al pulled him in for another kiss, one arm around his neck, her other hand resting on his cheek. His hands found their way to her hips, as he relaxed into their kiss. She began leading him over to the couch. Al pushed him back on it. She climbed on top of him, straddling him, crashing her lips back onto his. His hands rested on her thighs. Al's hands were on his face.
"I want you so badly," she spoke against his mouth.
"I want you, too," he replied. One of his hands ran up her body, his fingers found themselves underneath her shirt, on her waist.
"I wish I could have sex with you right now," she told him.
Jon smirked at her. "I'm with you on that." He pulled her down into a laying position on the couch, with him on top of her. Al wrapped her arms around his neck. The pair laid there making out, when a knock on the door caused the two to instantly bolt upright. She quickly tried to smooth out her hair. She sat there trying to look normal.
Jon got up and had to hide his erection in the waistband of his boxer brief. Then, he opened the door and wasn't surprised to see AJ and Phil. "Hey guys," he greeted.
"Hey best friends," Al said, waving to them from her seat on the couch. The couple walked into the locker room. Jon followed them over to the couch.
"Are you two having sex in here?" Phil questioned, in an attempt to bust their chops.
"Yup. You caught us and interrupted us," Al sarcastically replied, though she wouldn't have minded getting a little further with Jon than she had.
Phil gave her an obviously fake laugh. "Very funny…"
"Oh. The whole family's here, huh?" a familiar, snide voice spoke from the door.
"Seriously, Renee? Now is not the time," Jon replied, rolling his eyes at her interruption.
She took a step into the room. "So, Phil, what's it like knowing that your best friend is fucking the guy you sent her on the road with to help keep her junkie ass stay clean?" she questioned.
Phil raised an eyebrow. "That depends. What's it like being so unwanted that you look uglier with each passing day…and like you should have a couple of cats to help ease you into a life of loneliness because no one gives a fuck about you?" Phil shot back. He did not take kindly to anyone insulting Al.
"So, you're fine with her coming here and becoming an even bigger slut than she was before?"
He laughed bitterly. "You sound jealous. Maybe it's because you know she's better than you. Even Jon would rather hang around her and not you."
"That's fine. You go defend the junkie whore."
"You're trash, Renee. No one respects you. You're a crazy, jealous bitch. But if I have to come here and listen to your annoying voice much longer, I may be forced to sue the WWE for the irreparable damage to my ears. You're a joke. You wish you could be a whore…but absolutely no one wants you. That tells me all I need to know."
"Just take that bitch back to whatever hole she came out of," Renee spat. "And I'll never say another word about her."
"Go fuck yourself, you dumb bitch. You're lucky that I don't hit women," Phil shot. "But I can't say the same for AJ."
"I already told you I'd kick the shit out of you," AJ spoke nonchalantly.
"Don't bother wasting your energy or even your breath on her. She isn't worth the energy you're wasting. She's out of her mind," Al breathed.
"No. She wants to come in here and start shit, that's perfectly fine with me. I have no problems putting this classless, trashy, useless cunt in her place," Phil replied with a shrug.
"I'm not intimidated by you," Renee said. "Any of you, for that matter."
Al rolled her eyes. "And none of us care about how you feel about anything or anyone," she replied with no attitude in her voice. "I'm just waiting for someone in the hallway to jingle something shiny at you, so you'll go away already."
"Oh you're so funny," Renee mocked her.
Jon walked up to her. "Enough is enough already. Renee, get the hell out of here."
"I don't have to."
"Trust me, you do. Now go away," he demanded.
She put her hands on her hips. "Make me."
"I'll make you," AJ interjected with a cheery smile on her face.
"Seriously, go the fuck away," Jon told her.
Renee raised an eyebrow at him. "Trust me, once she dumps your ass, you'll come crawling back to me."
"What are you even talking about? We were never anything but friends," he replied, getting frustrated with her.
"You know that's not true."
"But it is true. Can you seriously just go away?"
"Fine," she relented, taking a step out of the doorway. "But—" Jon immediately shut the door in her face.
"I'm sorry about her," he apologized.
"That's what you guys have been dealing with?" The pair nodded. "She's fucking annoying as hell. I'm surprised neither of you have punched her," Phil said, shaking his head.
"Eh. I have more important things going on in my life than her. She's just annoying and mean," Al replied with a shrug. She didn't want Phil to know how much Renee actually got to her. She wasn't sure what he would do, if he knew that her harassment was stressing Al out, at a time when she didn't need more stress.
"You're brushing her off like she's no big deal," Phil replied.
Al shrugged. "She's just some psychopath with nothing better to do. It's sad really. She's obsessed with Jon. So, if anything, I feel worse for him," she said.
"Well, she needs to leave you the hell alone," he told her. "I don't need some crazy bitch causing problems for you right now."
"Phil, I'm good."
He gave her a look. "How often does she do that shit?"
"I mean…well…pretty much every time that she sees me."
"Are you serious?"
She shrugged. "Yeah."
"Phil, don't worry. I've got her back, and Jon is also looking out for her," AJ interjected.
Jon nodded. "I don't let Renee near Al whenever I'm around," he told him.
Phil took a deep breath and let it out. "I still don't like the idea of her constantly trying to bully you because she's a delusional psychopath."
"Phil, I'm fine, really. She's just some head case. She's scorned. And it has nothing to do with me. It's about Jon."
"I don't care. I still don't like this."
"Well, if it really starts bothering me, I'll let you know, okay?" Al tried to assure him.
He nodded. "Alright."
