Note: I have now idea why I'm putting this down, but Natalie isn't wearing her coat for awhile. Just saying -_-'

Another note: Major Plot change. This is where things go completely different from the game. But we'll get to the badass scene with Yvelta EVENTUALLY.

Warning: Non-canon stuff.

X.X

Natalie walked out of Anistar City Gym with her brand new Psychic Badge in her case. It had been a though battle, but in the end she managed to emerge victorious. Natalie knew she had plenty of time before she heads over to her final Gym, so she decided to see the sites. Natalie first visited the alleged Memory Girl, and was impressed by her ability to actually read the memories of her Pokemon. Like how Ariel was proud of being able to fly her around on his back. Or how much fun Moon Dancer and Lilith had when they helped her choose a new outfit.

Natalie then made her way over to a large, crystal-like structure standing before the sea. There was a hole in the center and all Natalie did was stare at it in awe and wonder. "What's this?" she asked herself.

"That, neighbor, is called the Sundial."

"Huh?" Natalie turned, "Calem!"

The other Trainer grinned a small grin as he walked up and stood beside her. "I haven't seen you since Laverre City. How are you?" he asked.

Natalie shrugged. "Nothing much. Well... I did run into Team Flare again in the Ice Cavern."

Calem's eyes widened. "Really? What happened?"

Natalie then explained the story of what had happened and how she was able to save Abomasnow. When she was finished she showed Calem the Mega-Stone Abomasnow had given her. Calem examined the pearl shaped gem in his friend's hands before she put it back in her purse.

"That's incredible." he said, "Congratulations."

Natalie giggled. "Thanks."

A loud ding was suddenly heard echoing throughout the city, followed by another not too long after. The clock had struck eight and the Sundial was suddenly acting odd.

"What's with the Sundial?" Natalie asked before a beam of light suddenly shot out of the hole and struck a device behind them. Calem merely smiled.

"It's alright. It always dose this at eight P.M.. No one knows why, but it's actually quite fascinating to see. Huh?"

Natalie lifted her left wrist and discovered that her Charizardite Y in her Mega-Ring was suddenly glowing along with the other Mega-Stone in her purse. "What the hell?" she said.

"They must be reacting to the Sundial somehow." Calem said.

The two Trainers then looked at one-another. Natalie then gave her friend a smile as she thought of an idea. "Hey, may be this mean we can find other Mega-Stones now." she said.

"What?"

"Yeah! The Mega-Stones but be connected to the Sundial somehow. Either way, maybe now we can find more Mega-Stones. *Gasp* Maybe you can find one for yourself, too!"

Calem suddenly looked unsure and he cupped his chin, looking away slightly. "I don't know. I don't even have a Mega-Ring."

"You don't need a Mega-Ring to activate it. You can still Mega-Evolve your Pokemon even without a Mega-Ring. As long as you're close to your Pokemon."

Calem then smiled. "Alright, but on one condition." he then swiftly brought out the Poke Ball that contained Meowstic. "You beat me in a Pokemon battle."

Natalie blinked, then smiled, and swiftly brought out the Poke Ball that contained Ocean Aurora. "You're on!"

...

Natalie and Calem were on their last Pokemon. Their battle had been intense, but at the same time it helped them heal their slightly strained friendship from the small incident back in Lumiose. Ocean Aurora defeated Meowstic with Avalanche. Lilith "fried" Greninja with Thunder. Moon Dancer defeated Absol with Dazzling Gleam. Now it was the final battle between Star Dancer and Calem's newest Pokemon: Flareon. Calem already knew it was going to be an easy lose. And sure enough, it was. But Calem learned to accept his defeats with Natalie, and even learned from them as well. It helped grow closer to his Pokemon.

Now both Trainers were walking down Route 18 together. But they didn't go far because they only had until nine to find any Mega-Stones, plus it was also getting dark. So far, they haven't found any stones. "Find anything yet?" Calem asked.

"Hmm." Natalie looked to her left and right once more before sighing, "No..." Both Trainers stopped and sighed in unison.

"Maybe we're not looking in the right area?"

Natalie shrugged as she sat on a stump. "I guess." she said before perking up slightly when something caught her eye.

"What is it?" Calem asked as she stood up. Calem looked up in the direction she was looking and noticed something glittering on the edge of a cliff.

"What's that?" Natalie asked.

"No clue." Calem then turned to his friend and grinned, "RACE YA!"

"HEY!" Natalie laughed once her friend suddenly took off without warning and then running after him. Both Trainers laughed the entire time they made their way over to abandoned mine. How Natalie knew this was a Mine was because Calem told her about it during their walk. Both then stopped at the entrance, panting.

"That...huff...was fun." Calem panted. He can't remember the last time he had this much fun with Natalie then their little break outside of Geosenge Town.

"Yeah." Natalie replied.

The two stared at the entrance to the Mine. Both brought out a flashlight and made their way in. "I wonder why this place was a abandoned." Natalie said as they walked.

"No one really knows." Calem replied, "Some it's because there's a Monster that's said to live here."

"A Monster? You mean a Pokemon?"

"Yep. Very few have actually seen it up close. Those who have say it has a big head and serpentine body. It's scales are green and black, and it's resemble crystals."

"Yikes. I don't think I would want to meet that Pokemon in person."

"Yeah, me neither." Calem chuckled.

"But I wonder what a weird Pokemon like that would be doing in these caves all by themselves? It must get really lonely."

"Well it dose have the wild Pokemon to keep it company." Calem pointed out.

"True." Natalie agreed.

The two continued walking through out the cave; running into a few Trainers who wish for a quick battle and some wild Pokemon here and there. They had no idea how high up they were until they finally saw some light. The two were amazed by how high up they were. They were so high that they could see Anistar City from where they were!

The two found the source of the glowing: two Mega-Stones. Calem knelt down on one knee and picked one of the stones and examining it under the remaining sunlight.

"What is it?" Natalie asked when she knelt down side him.

"It's an Absolite. I just have a gut feeling that it is." Calem held the stone in his hand and smiled.

Natalie smiled back before she went over and picked up the second stone. "It's a Charizardite." she said before looking at it closer, "But it's different, though."

"What makes you say that?" Calem asked.

"It's blue and black. It must be Charizardite X, then."

"Say...you wanna try these guys out?"

"Huh?"

Calem then grinned and stood up. "It'll be neat to see how our Pokemon will do in battle when reacted to these. We won't force them, though. We can ask them first."

Natalie smiled and got to her feet. "That sounds like a good ide-AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!"

Calem gasped in horror when Natalie's boot accidentally slipped off the edge. "NATALIE!" he roared before dividing in an grabbing her empty hand. Natalie panted in fear as she desperately held onto Calem's hand. "DON'T LET GO!" he yelled as he proceeded to pull her up.

"Cale..." Natalie whispered as he watched him muster all the strength he could use to pull her.

When Calem finally pulled her up, he did so hard that she accidentally bumped into him and the two landed on top of eachaother on the ground. Natalie immediately looked down at Calem, who's face was blazing red. Natalie immediately knew what she was and quickly got up.

"S-sorry." she said nervously as she helped him up.

"N-not a problem." Calem replied sheepishly.

"Oh, and thanks for saving me."

Calem smiled. "You're welcome. I just wouldn't stand it if something were to happen to you."

...

Both Natalie and Calem were in an area of the forest where they hoped no one would find them. If this was Mega-Evolution they were talking about, then they wanted it to be private. Natalie had Ariel out and Calem had his Absol. Calem had the Absolite in his hand and showed it to Absol, who sniffed it curiously. Ariel did the same with the new Charizardite X as he hugged his tail close.

"So what do you say?" Calem asked. His Absol looked up at him and smiled before nodding. Calem laughed happily before he hugged his Pokemon.

"What about you Ariel?" Ariel nuzzled his Trainer before nodding as well.

"Alright! Let's get this battle started!" Calem said.

Natalie nodded and she swiftly replaced the Charizardite Y with the Charizardite X. She preformed the same thing she had done in the power plant and Ariel was engulfed in light. When the light vanished, Ariel was completely different. He was now black and blue with blue flames coming from his jaws.

"Woah." Calem said. He then looked down at the Mega-Stone he held in his hand and noticed it was glowing. As if on instinct, he held the stone high and Absol was engulfed in light as well. Absol's appearance had completely changed as well. Not only did he look a bit more menacing and bigger, but he also had wings! "Ladies first." Calem said teasingly.

Natalie rolled her eyes fondly. "Ariel! Use Flamethrower!"

"Dodge and use Quick Attack!"

Abosl dodged the blast of blue fire that was fired at him and ran at lightning speed before striking Ariel hard in his belly. Ariel stumbled back slightly but managed to stay on his feet.

"Use Fly!"

Ariel spread his jet black wings and took to the sky. Absol barely had time to react when he was suddenly struck upon.

"Use Night Slash!"

Ariel barely had a scratch when struck by the move, surprising everyone, even himself. "I guess Mega Charizard X is both Fire and Dark." Natalie said.

"That's incredible." Calem said, "But either way, Absol use Slash!"

"Ariel! Fire Blast!"

There was a brief blast and then some smoke. The smoke quickly cleared away to reveal that Ariel was still standing. Absol was lying on the ground, defeated and back in his original form.

"Yes!" Natalie cried happily before she ran to embrace her Pokemon. Ariel changed back and the two happily embraced one another.

Calem knelt down beside Absol, who looked down shamefully. But Absol was a bit surprised when he felt his Trainer gently pet him with a smile on his face. "It's alright, boy." he said before laughing when his Pokemon licked him.

...

"Are you sure you guys wanna go on ahead when it's this dark out?" Natalie asked.

"We can handle it. Besides, the next town isn't that far down the road." Calem said with Absol standing beside him, "You?"

"Ariel and I are gonna fly back to Anistar and stay the night there. I wanna be feeling fresh when we head to the next town."

"Alright then. I guess I'll be seeing you later, then."

Natalie giggled. "Same here. Oh yeah! I should probably reward you for saving me."

Calem opened his mouth to say something, but nothing came out when he felt a quick, gentle peck on his cheek. Natalie backed away from him, face slightly red. Giving him a shy smile, she quickly climbed onto Ariel's back and the two took off into the night sky. Calem stood where he was, dumbfounded and face completely flushed. He looked down at his Absol, who merely blinked.

"L-let's go." he said. As the two walked down the path, Calem didn't know if he should cheer or whoop.

X.X

Okay, I'm not THAT evil to Calem. But that doesn't mean they're still a couple.
