Austin's POV
"Louis! What was that back there?"
He looked up from his phone for a whole 2 seconds, before he went back to playing some bubble game. "I was just helping."
"How exactly was interrupting me and Ally and then throwing her into the pool helping?"
This time Louis actually put his phone, giving his whole attention to me. "True or false, you were about to tell Ally that you and Rachel were just fake dating."
I looked down, not wanting to meet his disapproving gaze. See Louis always does that, makes you feel ashamed and like a failure. I sighed, "True."
He just smirked, going back to his game. "See, helping."
"But, Louis, how is that helping? I mean, we did the whole fake date thing, we saw how Ally reacted. I think it's pretty safe to say that she wasn't jealous."
"That's not what my sources say."
"What? Who?"
He gave me a look, "Austin, the first rule of, well anything, is to never reveal your sources."
"Well, okay whatever. What do your anonymous sources say?"
"I have it on good authority that Ally was indeed upset when she heard you were dating Rachel."
"Really?"
"Yes, Austin. I told you it would work. You just never trust me."
"Well...it's just...I mean...I-"
"Have no faith. Austin, you and Ally both like each other. You were practically meant to get together. And I'm going to make sure it works out for you two. Okay?"
"Yeah, okay Louis. What do we do now?"
"Well...we DON'T just straight up tell Ally that you were fake dating Rachel."
Again with the disapproving gaze.
"We're advancing into the next phase," Louis started talking in an announcer voice, "And we're bringing in a special guest to help with this final phase!"
A special guest? "Who?"
Louis didn't answer, just looked towards the door, where I realized we weren't alone.
There was our special guest.
Ally's POV
To say I'm bummed out would be an understatement.
I've basically just been laying on a couch watching reruns of The Vampire Diaries the past three days.
I would hang out with Harry, but he's been at the studio or something lately. He says he's been working. And if he's working, that means all the boys are working.
So the only other person I could hang out with is Austin, which normally would make me so excited. Ever since he started dating Rachel, which I guess I don't really know how or when that started, I haven't really seen him. In fact, the last time I saw him was in the kitchen when Louis interrupted us.
Basically, hanging out with Austin isn't an option either.
I wish it was though.
I can't deny that seeing Austin with another girl is hard. It hurts. Harry kept telling me that Austin liked me, I guess I started to believe it. Maybe it was just wishful thinking. In any case, it's not making the current situation any easier.
The past 3 days of being alone and just watching TV has let me do a lot thinking. I keep wondering why I'm in London, which of course makes me remember the duet.
That makes me think of the song that Austin wrote and performed for me. It was amazing. Harry interrupted us before Austin got to tell me how he came up with it, and it hasn't seemed like the right moment since to ask about it. I was secretly hoping it was about me, and that he did like me after all.
Now, I'm suspecting it was about Rachel all along.
Sigh.
Short chapter, I know! I promise to update soon, I just wanted to see your guesses on who the "Special Guest" is. So, guess away! And I'll update soon! Please review!
