Chapter 29

A/N: This is rewritten version. Yuuko's little Yaoi scene between Akihisa and Yuuji did not happen, at all. The sleepover did. Oh, by the way, this rewritten version has Akihisa in the drama club.

Kinoshita Hideyoshi

Hideyoshi was sitting at one of the two tables in the Drama Clubroom, both him and Akihisa listening to the president as she went on about what their next play was going to be about. Apparently, their officers had already decided on doing a Sleeping Beauty play and she was now in charge of assigning positions to the people in the club. When it came down to his turn, he couldn't even begin to stand up and declare he was wanting a male role before she was already assigning him as Princess Aurora, without his consent. Before he could attempt to open up an argument, Fukui Kou sitting on the opposite side of him from Akihisa was given the position of Prince Phillips.

Akihisa was clearly distraught about Kou's position, but before she could argue against that, the president asked if there were any questions as Hideyoshi was already standing to protest. "But I'm a guy!"

"Don't worry, Hideyoshi-chan, I don't mind kissing you." Kou told him, his face red as he averted his eyes away from the hideyoshi.

Hideyoshi ignored Kou, though he did still hear the pervert's (opinion, not fact) words. "President, can't you give me a guy's role?"

Akihisa stood up, joining Hideyoshi in his fight. "President, can't you give someone else the position of Prince Phillips?" Or starting her own fight instead of joining him.

The president shook her head as she leaned back in her seat, crossing her arms as she did so. "Hideyoshi-chan, you're the cutest girl here and the one who has the best acting, and voicing, capabilities." She turned her head to look at Akihisa. "And Akihisa-chan, Fukui has the lookings of a young prince even though his personality may not be so, but despite that, he does have some of the best acting abilities other than Hideyoshi-chan."

"I'm a guy." Hideyoshi repeated, his right hand going to his hip as he stared into the president's eyes.

"That only makes you cuter, Hideyoshi-chan~" The president told him, her hands going against her cheeks as she started to get lost in her imagination, a blush soon developing across her face.

"I don't want to be Aurora." Hideyoshi leaned forward, hesitating to try and be more aggressive with his words like his sister.

"And I don't want Fukui to be the prince!" Akihisa added in, putting her hands on the table.

The president sighed, coming out of her imagination as she looked at the two in front of her. "What are you so upset about? You play girl roles all the time; you should be used to it. Actually, you should be thankful that I actually allowed you to be Ranmaru that one time."

Hideyoshi glanced over at Kou, "I..." He looked away from the boy, shifting his eyes to the table, "don't want to kiss another guy." Hideyoshi didn't want to tell anyone just yet about his secret that only his sister knew, his one secret he hid in fear of it being taken by one of the many aggressive boys at school or some other place. His face grew red just at the thought of it.

"Is that it?" He heard the president say, him looking back up to meet her eyes. Before he could say he didn't want to wear dresses either, she was already moving on. "The kiss scene can just be faked, no problem, right?"

"Well-" Hideyoshi began, about to bring up the sure fact that he's a guy but he was completely ignored by the president.

"Alright, now that everything has been settled, let's get to work!" The president hurriedly stood up, about to shout out with a dramatic pose but was interrupted.

"I still don't want Fukui to be the prince!" Akihisa protested, Hideyoshi looking over at her with a smile when he saw that she was still trying to fight to at least get the pervert out of the picture. "I want to be the prince instead!"

...

Or maybe she was just fighting for her own personal benefit...

Although...

Hideyoshi might not mind having his first kiss with Akihisa...

At that thought, Hideyoshi lifted a finger to his lips almost without noticing it. He quickly lowered it, breathing a sigh of relief when he saw that no one had noticed.

"Y-you?" The president blinked, looking at Akihisa with a bewildered expression. Her expression swiftly changed from bewildered to bemused as she began laughing. "You? As Prince Phillips? You're just a newbie! You haven't even been in a play yet, yet you can still make such a suggestion? You'd have no idea how to act!"

"What if I teach her?" Hideyoshi abruptly said, catching the president's attention. "If I teach her and she turns out to be better than Fukui, will you accept her as Prince Phillips?" He would much rather have Akihisa as the prince than Fukui, someone who he only knew because of drama club.

The president smiled, crossing her arms as she looked from Hideyoshi to Akihisa and then back again. "Alright, however, if she does not turn out to be better than Fukui, Fukui will be the one to play Prince Phillips. Deal?"

Hideyoshi nodded. "Deal."

"Good." The president nodded before continuing what she had been about to do before the interruption. She took a pose, pointing off into the distance with one hand on her hip. "We're doing this Japanese-styled!" She announced with a clear and commanding voice.

"What?" One of the club members asked, speaking for them all. "Can you tell us what you mean?"

"Well, Sleeping Beauty is pretty clichéd don't you think? People who have already seen this before might not want to see the same thing again, so we're going to change some things around to interest people. Yes, we're going to do a Japanese-styled Sleeping Beauty! With this, we can draw more people in as they will be curious to see what it truly is!" She put her hand on her chin as her mind worked, her mouth speaking what she came up with. "Yes, instead of the prince being a prince, he will be a noble Samurai going for the princess' love, and instead of a dragon guarding the tower, we shall have a demon guarding it instead. This will all be set in Japan, with the king being the Shogun instead of the actual king. Yes, this will be a new type of Sleeping Beauty never before seen!" She exclaimed, getting way too excited.

Hideyoshi sighed, knowing that she was far too gone to attempt and dissuade her from giving him another role. Turning away from the table, he saw Kou and Akihisa in each other's faces, both of them having their arms crossed as they stared each other down.

"I'll be the one to kiss Hideyoshi." Akihisa told the boy, glaring into his eyes with set determination.

"Hmph, Hideyoshi's lips are already mine, girl."

Hideyoshi looked at them with a blank expression. "You do know we can just fake the kiss, right?"

Both Kou and Akihisa looked at him with wild expressions on their faces. "Absolutely not!" They both exclaimed, Kou being the only one to carry on. "Faking the kiss would be the same as ripping the audience off! As actors, we must absolutely not do such a thing!"

"Yeah, what he said!" Akihisa said, before adding onto it. "Unless he gets to be the prince- I mean the samurai!"

Once more, the two rivals got back into each other's faces, both trying to stare the other down.

Hideyoshi sighed.

Kinoshita Yuuko

With all of her homework and studying finished, Yuuko was relaxing on her couch as she read her boys' love manga like she almost always did whenever she had the free time to do so. With all of her chores having been vanquished when Hideyoshi had had his sleepover with Minami and three other girls, and with having gotten her daily workout while Hideyoshi had been in the drama club, she was completely free to read boys' love manga the rest of the night. She hadn't been able to read it nearly any after Hideyoshi had found her reading his diary, him having forced her to clean and do other stuff every single second of her usual free time.

But other than that, staying in the top five second-year students of the school, and with aiming to overtake Shouko, she had to spend quite some time on her subjects which took away from her maximum free time, leaving her only a limited amount of time to enjoy reading yaoi, so, she was catching up on reading right now. Unfortunately, Hideyoshi had decided to whine and complain about being assigned to another girl's role in the drama club's next play right next to her.

She was able to mostly ignore him as he continued to talk while sitting on the other end of the couch, however, as he went on about it, one particular word caught her attention. "Did you just say something about a kiss?" She asked him, lowering her book so she could look her brother right in the eye. Her reason for concern was quite clear; she did not want anyone kissing her brother.

"Aurora, the role I'm playing, is awakened by a kiss at the end - so that means I have to get kissed during the play, sis. You'd know if you'd listen to me." Hideyoshi stated, obviously taking offense to having been ignored at such a critical time in his life - whatever, did she really care? It took her a moment to realize that she really did care, and another moment was used up by thinking why she hadn't been paying more attention to him. But after one more moment, she remembered all the chores she had been forced to do and remembered why she wasn't caring.

"So?" She simply asked him, trying to show that she didn't really care about his problems while trying to hide that she really did care.

"You know, sis," Hideyoshi stared at her for a few moments, she staring back in silence, "it's my first kiss..." He ended, his voice suggesting that she should have already picked that up.

"Just fake it." Yuuko quickly told him.

"I want to but Fukui-kun and-"

That name brought back memories that she still got irritated at. "Fukui Kou from Class A?" She asked, remembering that princely looking guy with an infatuation with her twin brother.

"Yes?" Hideyoshi answered her, confused by the hostility in her voice.

"Let me guess," She began as she remembered the time that she had asked him who he would want to have as a girlfriend and then who he would want to have as his wife, "he wants to go through with the whole play and actually get married, is that so?"

Hideyoshi's voice was slightly filled with confusion. "No, he just wants to have a real kiss with me."

Yuuko sighed, speaking sarcastically as she responded to him. "Just be a man and go ahead and kiss him." She really didn't want Hideyoshi to kiss that prince-lookalike, but she also didn't want to openly show too strong of an opposition to him kissing someone.

Hideyoshi looked taken back. "N-no! Sis, it's my first kiss. I want it to be a special kiss with my future wife, not some other guy who I barely know!"

"What does it matter?" Yuuko asked while wondering if he had caught the sarcasm in her voice or not from her earlier statement.

"Your first kiss is a very, very special thing that should only be shared with the most specialist person in your life that you would be okay with marrying!" He stated, his voice slightly fast.

"S-so?" Yuuko averted her eyes, not believing how her brother was getting about a kiss.

"Have you ever kissed someone!?" Hideyoshi asked her, leaning towards her so close that her face started to get red as memories surfaced.

Flashback - 5, 6, or 7 Years Ago

"I want to try that." Yuuko announced, pointing at the TV where a couple were currently kissing. She sat by her twin brother, the two of them sitting side-by-side as they watched a movie their parents had gotten.

"Try what, sis?" Her innocent, little Hideyoshi asked her, completely oblivious to that she was talking about what the couple had just done in the movie.

"Kissing." Yuuko told her brother, turning to face him, their noses almost touching.

"E-eh?" Hideyoshi asked, blinking. "K-kissing?"

"Try it with me." She commanded, leaning just a little closer to him.

"B-but, I don't want to!" He whined, leaning away from her as she advanced.

"Fine!" Fed up with being denied her kiss, she hit Hideyoshi over the head with just enough force to knock him out. With her brother soundly sleeping on the couch, she sat back in it with her arms crossed, continuing to watch the movie as the couple kissed once more. Getting even more curious, she looked down at her brother's sleeping face, her eyes dropping down to his lips.

She got on top of him, taking in the details of his face as she lowered herself onto him, her lips brushing against his own before she tried mimicking what they had been doing on the TV the first time. After getting her first taste of his lips, she kissed him again, longer this time.

Her brother would never know that she had stolen his first kiss.

End of Flashback

"No." Yuuko lied with her poker face on, her brother, fortunately, seemed to be distressed enough about his 'first' kiss to not notice her lie.

"I thought you'd understand then..." He sighed, sitting back down when he knew he was defeated.

"Pft..." Whatever. She raised her manga back up, continuing her reading.

Hideyoshi leaned back into the couch, looking over at her and noticing how she was sitting. "Sis, I can see your panties." He told her, even though he had seen them plenty enough times before.

She knew he was just saying it to have something to say after one of his many defeats. "Dearest brother, you've seen me naked plenty of times, and you're telling me that you can see my panties? Does it bother you or something? Well, know this, I've seen your own panties plenty enough times too."

He didn't say anything after that, allowing her some peace and quiet to read as she wondered if she had possibly been harsh without meaning to be... too much...

A/N: With little time left tonight, I sped the proofreading up a little so you might catch a mistake here or there.

"Sister…" Hideyoshi began, turning to look over at his sister as a dark and insanely terrifying aura surrounded him.

"H-Hideyoshi-"
