Cutting the Strings

Garudamon flew far above the forest with her partner on her back. Both were desperately trying to remember where the meeting points were supposed to be after the battle. A number of teams were supposed to cause a distraction and prevent Puppetmon's forces from overwhelming them during the fight to capture Cherrymon. None of the team that had travelled with Sora and Tk had survived the fight.

Both sides had slaughtered the other down to the final digimon, leaving only Sora, Garudamon and Angemon left on the burnt battleground. Angemon had told them that Tk had been taken to Puppetmon's mansion and that they were to return to the base and get help while he rescued his partner. Then the angel digimon had flown off into the distance without any sort of explanation.

Sora gritted her teeth in anger at herself. She knew bringing Tk to the fight was a bad idea! But what else could she have done? They might not have made it out of the fight had Angemon not been there as well. If he'd digivolved they might have even have been able to save Gorillamon...

She shook her head, before removing such thoughts from her mind. She couldn't afford to be distracted, not right now when Tk and Angemon were counting on her. She, Garudamon and the other survivors would head back to the base. Hopefully then Gennai would be able to tell them the location of Puppetmon's mansion so they could go rescue Tk and give Angemon some much needed back-up.

"I think it's here, Sora!" Garudamon called out, spying a familiar bunch of trees far below her.

"Let's go!"

With a single beat of her mighty wings, Garudamon descended down into the forest. Landing gently, she crouched down below the treeline, allowing Sora to climb off of her back before dedigivolving back into Biyomon.

The two surveyed the copse of trees for any other survivors. This had been the meeting point right? Fortunately, before Sora could panic, there was a shimmer and a Woodmon became visible near them. He was holing a Ninjamon close to his chest, helping the champion hide.

"You must be one of the digidestined!" the Ninjamon said happily. "Where's Gorillamon? Was the mission a success? Did we get Cherrymon?"

"Gorillamon's been deleted. We severely injured Cherrymon, but he escaped and managed to capture one of our own," Sora explained solemnly.

"You're kidding," Woodmon whispered. "They got Gorillamon?

Ninjamon collapsed onto the ground.

"I was so sure if anyone would make it, it would be him. That dude was crazy."

Sora swallowed, anxiety building up within her.

"He was beating the tar out of Cherrymon before he was taken out by a sneak attack," she said, not exactly lying. "We were so keeping the rest of the Garbagemon off of him that we couldn't get there in time to help."

This seemed to bring some measure of comfort to the two digimon.

"Knew he wouldn't of gone down easily," Ninjamon muttered. "A sneak attack? Bastards..."

"We need to get back to the base as quickly as possible to tell Gennai what happened," Sora continued, gaining the attention of the two digimon. "We need to mount an assault on Puppetmon's mansion to get Tk back!"

The two digimon paled.

"P-Puppetmon's mansion?" the Woodmon stammered. "You're crazy! There's no way we'd survive that! You couldn't even kill Cherrymon, let alone stop Puppetmon! He'll tear us apart if we go there!"

"Then don't!" Sora yelled back, almost causing the digimon to back away. "I didn't ask for your help! When we get back you two can just stay in your little base while we do all the work!"

Sora froze, guilt immediately creeping forwards. Biyomon put a comforting wing on her partner's arm.

"S-sorry," Sora muttered, rather embarrased. "I'm just worried about my friend. D-do you think you could lead us back to the base?"

"It's alright, we understand," Ninjamon replied. "We've all lost friends today. Sure, we'll lead you back."

The four began their journey in silence, Sora in particular thinking about what she was going to have to tell Joe and Matt.

After a few minutes of walking, Woodmon turned towards Ninjamon.

"There wasn't as many of them as I thought there'd be," Woodmon pointed out. "I was sure we'd be forced to retreat sooner."

"I know! It's weird," Ninjamon agreed. "I guess that's the advantage of attacking in multiple places., I guess..."

"Ah, here we are!" Woodmon called out, letting Sora and Biyomon know they were there.

"The passageway back to the base should appear here any moment now," Ninjamon stated, pointing towards the groun. "All we have to do is sit and wait."

Sora nodded, leaning back against a nearby tree with Biyomon standing next to her.

"Poor kid looks shellshocked," Ninjamon whispered to Woodmon, eyeing Sora discreetly.

"Yeah, best give her some space for now," his friend responded. "I can't wait to get back and relax for a bit. Bet they've been bored while we were gone."

Suddenly a freezing blast of air shot through the forest, alerting them all.

"What the hell was that?" Sora asked, looking in the direction in which the cold blast of air had come.

"Should we go have a look?" Biyomon wondered. "The portal hasn't appeared yet."

The other two digimon looked at one another.

"I guess, but we should probably be quick..."

The light shone brightly across the forest. Gennai covered his eyes with his hands, barely able to stand the intensity of it's power.

"Incredible," Centarumon muttered. "This is the power of the digidestined?"

"The full might of the Crest of Reilability," Gennai spoke, a tnge of pride in his voice. "Now you'll see why they are the ones who can save the Digital World!"

A sudden roar shook the trees, causing even MetalEtemon to look on in horror at the figure having now appeared where before there was only a rookie and a human.

"VIKEMON!" the newly created mega screamed as the light faded, leaving him in all his glory.

Covered in thick white fur, it stood far taller than MetalEtemon or even Titamon. Wrapped around it's shoulders and back was another brown fur coat attached by his shoulder guards to the rest of his body.

Most noticeable however, was the huge variation of a morning star attached to it's back. Two large spiked clubs were attached to one another via a huge unbreakable chain.

MetalEtemon eyed the weapon with a growing unease. This whole situation was alarmingly familiar to him. Images of a dinosaur in a deseert flashed in front of his eyes for a moment, before he forcibly shook them away. Things were different this time! He was covered in chrome-digizoid, the hardest mineral in the digital world! He had nothing to fear from any weapon!

Striking a pose, MetalEtemon pointed at the newly created mega.

"You think you can scare me with your lightshows and your weapons?" he asked angrily. "You're nothing compared to me! Nothing!"

Vikemon didn't respond. He merely stayed silent, coldy observing the metal monkey.

"I'll destroy you in an instant!" MetalEtemon declared, raising his hands into the sky.

A large ball of crackling dark energy formed between his outstretched palms. It grew and grew until it was as large as MetalEtemon himself, who was only keeping it steady under great strain. Reality seemed to contort and coalesce into the ball, making it's exact size difficult to define.

For the first time, Vikemon moved. Reaching onto his back he unhooked his morning star and brandished it in front of him, before staying still once again.

His muscles taut and his hands clenching the attack, MetalEtemon threw it with all his strength towards Vikemon.

"Great Dark Ball!" he screamed as the energy shot towards the larger mega with an incredible speed.

All those watching could barely even see the attack as it flew towards Vikemon faster than they could keep up with. With a roar loud enough to shake the trees, Vikemon swung his morning star into the attack.

"Mjollnir!" he cried out, as the ball hit his weapon with a noise like thunder.

There was a short struggle for power before Vikemon threw the attack into the air far above them, his morning star still lying in his hand unscathed. MetalEtemon's attack shot high into the air where it imploded into itself.

There was a huge rush of wind upwards as the air strove to replace that which had vanished. Gennai held on to Centaurumon to prevent himself from being sucked upwards into the sky. Leaves flew upwards, leaving many trees bare as their branches were bent towards the sky.

Then everything died down. The trees bent back to normal and the wind stopped.

Vikemon straightened himself once more, before staring directly at Metaletemon in silence. Although outside he seemed determined, inside was another story.

'Joe, calm down!' Gomamon said to his partner. 'Everyone's fine, relax!'

'This is so weird though,' Joe responded to his partner. 'It's like, we're parts of each other, but also not...'

'Yep! Just roll with it, Joe,' Gomamon advised. 'You can think about it later. For now we've got to get rid of this guy before he causes anymore damage!'

Joe nodded within the strange grey sphere he seemed to be in.

'Good point. Let's take him out for good.'

Outside, MetalEtemon gaped at Vikemon in silence. He nearly took a step backwards before catching himself just in time. Gritting his teeth and clenching his fists in anger, MetalEtemon spoke up again.

"Alright, I'll admit you're tougher than I thought. But still, I'm indestructible, baby!"

He posed as if to enforce this point.

"If I can't kill you that way, I'm just going to have to beat ya black and blue with my fists!"

He kissed both of his fists, before settling into a fighting stance.

"So bring it on, punk! I'll send you to the Dark Area! You digidestined have gotten in my way for the last time!"

At that, MetalEtemon shot forwards towards Vikemon, fist drawn back.

'Get ready!' Gomamon told Joe as they moved into their own stance.

"Argh!" Vikemon roared, bringing his morning star down on MetalEtemon, who dodged to the side.

"Ha!" with a triumphant cry, MetalEtemon punched Vikemon in the shoulder as hard as he could, before the larger digimon could react.

Gritting his teeth, MetaEtemon jumped away to avoid Vikemon's weapong from hitting him. Upon landing he shook his hand idly, his entire fist was numb from the blow.

"What is his fur made of?" MetalEtemon muttered to himself, before having to dodge another blow from Mjollnir.

"Vikemon," Gennai explained to Monzaemon and Centarumon, "is a mega level vaccine digimon. It's said his fur has become as hard as chrome digizoid and is known in battle for being a beserker."

Gennai gave a wry smile.

"Maybe MetalEtemon has bitten off more than he can chew with this fight."

Vikemon had noticed the problem MetalEtemon had with attacking him.

'We've got him on the ropes, Joe!' Gomamon cheered within Vikemon.

'I know,' Joe agreed, a surge of adrenaline shooting through their body. 'He's fast, but I barely felt that blow. He's going down!'

With another roar, Vikemon slammed his weapon into the ground, creating a large crater where MetalEtemon had just been standing. Dodging around to the side, MetalEtemon kicked the larger mega in the back, causing it to stumble forward. Before he could recover, MetalEtemon leapt forwards, punching Vikemon hard in the face amd nearly knocking the digimon over completely.

Vikemon swept his weapong along the ground, but MetalEtemon leapt over it before it could connect. Nailing Vikemon with a kick to the face, forcing the larger digimon to put a hand on the ground to not to topple over. MetalEtemon landed behind the digimon and spun around to charge another attack.

"Dark Ba-"

Twirling around, Vikemon managed to nail the mega with the end of his morning star, sending MetalEtemon flying through several trees and out of sight. Centarumon and Monzaemon cheered as Vikemon stalked over towards where MetalEtemon had vanished.

Shooting out of the rubble, MetalEtemon leapt into the air and over Vikemon where he landed some ways behind the mega. The attack had shattered his sunglasses and parts of his armour were beginning to show strain marks, yet as the larger mega turned to face him MetalEtemon grinned cockily at him.

"I know how to beat you now," MetalEtemon boasted. "You're powerful, but slow. All I have to do is stay out of your range and there isn't a thing you can do about it!"

The mega grinned, lighting up a Dark Ball in each hand.

"You're not going to be able to block all of these!" he cried out triumphantly. "They'll rip you apart!"

'Hey, Gomamon,' Joe said to his partner, a strange desire for violence infecting his soul. 'Let's show him how wrong he is.'

'You've got it!'

Vikemon faced both ends of his morning star forward to point at MetalEtemon.

"Dark Ball!" MetalEtemon yelled, throwing his two attacks.

"Viking Flare!"Vikemon roared in response.

Instantly, the heads of Mjollnir shot forwards on large chains. They instantly ripped through both of MetalEtemon's attacks and kept on moving towards him. The metal monkey's eyes barely had time to widen before they struck him hard in the chest, knocking him backwards and cracking his armour. He managed to steady himself, as the chains retracted and the two heads slotted themselves back into the handles where they had originally come from.

Panting heavily, MetalEtemon silently reassessed his chances of winning this fight. Looking down at the subtle cracks in his chrome digizoid armour, it was clear he wasn't going to be able to take any more blows without shattering. There was only one way he could still win. It was a method that he was hesitant to use; especially considering what happened last time, but it was the only way he could think of.

"Dark Ball!" MetalEtemon cried, aiming his attack at Gennai and the other injured digimon.

In an instant, Vikemon moved in front of them and using Mjollnir, he swatted the attack into the sky. The mega growled in anger at the dirty trick, before noticing that MetalEtemon was running away.

"Hey! Get back here!" the mega roared, charging into the forest after the metal monkey.

Gennai, Centarumon and Monzaemon watched as Vikemon ran off after the fleeing mega. A sudden movement in the medical tent drew Monzaemon's eye. He pointed as Matt and Gabumon walked out of the tent, Matt holding his head with his hand.

"What happened?" Matt groaned, his eyes closed. "Where are we?"

'We can't let him get away!' Joe said to his partner as they relentlessly pursued the mega. 'He has to die, once and for all!'

MetalEtemon kept running, the footfalls of Vikemon some ways behind him. He tore through the forest back towards the lifeless crater where he had originally crashed. Numerous digimon were now there, all gawking at the large construction of wires and wondering what to do about it.

He barged his way through them all, tossing Garbagemon left and right as if they were nothing more than mere rookies, until he reached the heart of his Dark Network. He leapt on top and dug his hands deeply into it. He desperately retracted all it's wires, a deep panic roaring through his body as Vikemon got closer and closer.

He would need to draw in all of the remaining power of the Dark Network to stand a chance against that monster. Now the power was beginning to arrive. The wires slowly fused to him, granting him all their strength. He felt his armour begin to mend and his muscles begin to grow as more and more of the energy flew into him. There was a slight disturbance as numerous digimon fired on the shell of the Dark Network from outside, but they were inconsequential. With this new power he could crush that Vikemon like a bug!

As Vikemon ran the surroundings changed. The normal healthy looking trees were replaced by barren, charred looking ones. The grass became sickly yellow before vanishing altogether and even the sky seemed to darken as they ran up to this latest sight.

'That's the Dark Network!' Gomamon realised, as they stared at the large mass of pulsating wires.

'Is that how he survived?' Joe wondered, staring at it for a moment in horror. 'Wait, hold on? What's that?'

Surrounding the wires were crowds upon crowds of Garbagemon and Kogamon. Many of which were attacking the dark mass to no avail whatsoever.

'Is that Puppetmon's army?' Gomamon asked. 'It kinda looks like it...'

'I think they've spotted us!' Joe realised, as a number of the digimon nearest to them began to yell and point their weapons towards the mega.

'We have to get to the centre!' Gomamon said. 'That must be where MetalEtemon went!'

Vikemon began to move forward, but before he could get far, a number of Garbagemon and Kogamon moved in front of him and blocked his path.

"You, stop!" the lead Garbagemon ordered, his arrogant tone tempered by years of absolute authority. "On the authority of Lord Puppetmon, you are under arrest for... this! Your sentence is death, boys!"

A large number of Garbagemon hoisted their bazookas and pointed them at Vikemon.

"Fire!"

Their attacks all collided at once, covering the mega in a series of explosions. As the dust cleared many took a step back, since Vikemon didn't even seem ruffled by the attempted strikes.

The mega digimon's temper rising, he grabbed his morning star.

"Get out of my way!" he roared, blowing past rows upon rows of Puppetmon's army in an attempt to reach the center, but it was too late.

The Dark Network began to glow with a mencaing energy as the ball of wires began to shrink and expose a new creature to Vikemon and the small army. MetalEtemon now stood proudly in the remains of his crater, having completely absorbed the remaining power in the Dark Network. Now about three times as large as he was before, he was ready to face Vikemon for the final time.

"Now then," MetalEtemon decreed. "Lets finish this!"

Both megas roared and charged, both utterly uncaring of the number of digimon they threw aside in their haste to reach each other. Fist and Mjollnir raised they both threw their first blows, causing the ground to shake.

A fist to Vikemon's face, followed by a mace to MetalEtemon's. Both fell back, stunned for a brief instant, before recovering and charging once more.

The two brawled within Puppetmon's army, a number of attacks firing at the two, utterly unheeded. The entire scene was pure chaos. Every missed blow or maneveur would cause digimon to burst into data. Attacks from all three sides kept hitting one another, resulting in even more deletions. The smartest quickly ran as the battle between the two megas hotted up even further.

A powerful energy grew in MetalEtemon's hand.

"Dark Ball!" he screamed shoving the energy sphere towards his hated enemy.

"Argh!" Vikemon roared, battering the energy ball to the side with Mjollnir, before brutally striking MetalEtemon in the face.

The ball hit the ground nearby and imploded violently. Tearing up the ground and all the digimon unlucky enough to be near it, it vanished them all into oblivion. A large number of the army completely demoralised and terrified of the two megas fighting it out amongst them, those that still could ran.

Both megas separated, panting heavily. Both were wounded and exhausted, the final blows were soon coming.

Vikemon stood up to his full height.

"It's been a good fight, MetalEtemon," he spoke to his enemy for the first time. "But it's over now."

"What are you saying?" MetalEtemon asked. "We're pretty even if you ask me."

"Fighting like this, both of us together, was disorientating at first," Vikemon stated. "Now thought, we've gotten used to it. Now I won't hold back anymore."

"You're full of shit!" MetalEtemon yelled. "I'm going to pound you into the ground just like I did to that other digimon! This isn't new. He thought he was a hotshot because he digivolved, but where is he now? Dead! You're nothing special either!"

Vikemon's eyes grew colder, if that was even possible.

"His name was Titamon," he spoke, his voice like ice.

All the passion had vanished from him as he spoke.

"This is from him: Arctic Blizzard."

Winds began to howl and trees began to creak. MetalEtemon watched as ice formed on the ground around them at an alarming rate. Snow began to fall slowly, before becoming a virtual hurricane, making it difficult to see in front of him. Vikemon seemed to vanish as the ground and everything around him, in a matter of seconds, became covered with snow.

"What's going on? Come out and fight you coward!" MetalEtemon cried out, looking this way and that.

The temperature continued to drop, many of the lower-levelled digimon vanished into bursts of data as they were unable to survive it. MetalEtemon watched as the temperature continued to go down as his limbs became heavy and frost and snow built up upon him.

"W-w-what is th-th-this?" he shivered, his hands encircling his torso instinctively looking for warmth. "I can b-b-b-barely move."

Yet it kept getting colder. Even the snow was beginning to slow down now. As all energy was sucked out of the area to the point where MetalEtemon couldn't move any part of his body anymore. Except his eyes that is. His eyes that were glued to a certain figure he could see now that even the blizzard itself had succumbed to the utter cold.

Vikemon strolled leisurely through the snow, before arriving in front of a helpless MetalEtemon.

"This is my ultimate attack," Vikemon explained. "I lower the surrounding temperature to absolute zero in order to crush my enemies. Tell me MetalEtemon, do you know what happens when you cool metal very fast?"

Even if he could speak, MetalEtemon doubted he could answer.

"It becomes brittle."

Vikemon raised Mjollnir.

"Goodbye, MetalEtemon."

Vikemon brought down his weapon with all his strength, smashing through MetalEtemon's body in an instant. The pieces turned to data and scattered into the wind. They flew upwards at a worrying speed, before disappearing from sight entirely.

Vikemon relaxed, returning the area around him to normal. It was still lifeless. A battlefield where a large number of digimon had fallen. With a sudden light he once more became Joe and Gomamon, who both slumped to the ground in exhaustion.

Joe looked up at the sun shining in the sky. Regardless of how he felt right now, or what choices he'd made, they had done it. They'd beaten MetalEtemon and reached the mega level.

Leaning back to lie down on the cold ground, Joe stared up mindlessly at the sky. No wonder Tai and Matt had passed out so quickly, being a mega level digimon was really draining.

No one else was around, he could probably get away with a quick nap...

"Joe!" Sora yelled, running over towards the sleeping teenager.

She and Biyomon ran across the decimated battlefield, their cries waking Joe and Gomamon up. He leaned up to look at her.

"Hey, Sora," Joe mumbled tiredly, his eyes drooping. "How're things going?"

He then collapsed back down, unhurt, but asleep.

"He's just tired," Gomamon commented. "I'm feeling rather exhausted myself. How did things go? Did you get Cherrymon? Where's Tk and Patamon?"

Sora bit her bottom lip and shook her head.

"Tk was captured. Angemon went off to Puppetmon's mansion to go get him back," she admitted sadly. "What happened here?"

Gomamon gaped in surprise.

"I guess we've all got our own stories to tell."

At that point Woodmon and Ninjamon ran up behind them, finally catching up.

"What's going on?" Woodmon asked.

"What happened here?" Ninjamon said.

"Let's walk back to Gennai and the others," Gomamon responded, weariness creeping into his normally cheery tone. "I'll tell you all about it..."

A few minutes later, everyone had been updated on the situation as they walked back through the forest. Woodmon and Ninjamon slowly treaded forwards in a silent daze. To know that not only had they lost many friends in the fight against Cherrymon, but that nearly everyone who'd been left behind had been killed as well was a huge shock to them.

Sora supported a barely conscious Joe as they slowly made their way back. It seemed that no matter what they attempted to do, fate would always have it out for them. Go and get captured by Puppetmon, stay and potentially get killed by MetalEtemon. She sincerely hoped Tk was alright.

"I think I can hear something!" Biyomon yelled, pointing forwards into the forest.

Straining their ears, the sound of yelling was audible through the undergrowth. They hurried forwards as fast as they could and entered the clearing.

"-listen to you?!" Matt yelled, pointing angrily at Gennai. "You're responsible for all of this!"

The old man had his hands up and was trying to calm him down.

"I can understand why you're upset, but please calm yourself," Gennai implored.

"I won't calm down!" Matt shouted, glaring. "Not until I know where Tk is!"

"I've already explained, he and Sora went off to destroy Puppetmon's lieutenants. They should be back any minute-"

"Don't give me any of that crap!" Matt interrupted. "You don't care for any of us! If you did you wouldn't have brought us here in the first place! If you did you wouldn't have forced us to come back and fight for you!"

"I don't understand what you're talking about-"

"Don't lie to me!" Matt practically roared, marching up to Gennai, Gabuon having to hold him back. "You knew we would merge with our digimon because of that 'miracle', that the only way we could return to normal would be if we get back here!"

Gennai's eyes widened.

"I-I had no idea," he said, utterly stunned. "My intention was never to have you forced into coming back-"

"Well tough!" Matt responded. "We're now back here to save this world because you can't! We-"

"Matt!" Sora yelled, waving to get his attention.

The blonde's head turned to see Sora and the others. Instantly he seemed to forget about Gennai and raced towards her.

"Sora! Sora!"

He ran up to her, Gabumon following. He surveyed her and the others eagerly, looking for his litle brother.

"Where is he? Where's Tk?"

"Matt-" Sora began, watching as the expression on his face began to fall.

"Where is he?!" Matt demanded.

"He was captured by Puppetmon," Biyomon answered. "Angemon's already gone off to rescue him-"

"Then what are we waiting for?!" Matt asked, panic in his eyes. "We need to go now! Which way is he?"

"Tk was taken to Puppetmon's mansion," Sora said. "We don't know where that is. Gennai might-"

Matt immediately rounded on the old man, who was coming up behind them with Centarumon and Monzaemon flanking him. Despite the presence of these two digimon on either side, Matt wasn't intimidated in the slightest.

"Where's Puppetmon's mansion?! Tell me! We need to go rescue Tk!"

"I can't," Gennai stated, his tone tinged with weariness. "You'll just go running off and into potentially more trouble! Puppetmon has a wide array of forces at his command that may be able to surprise or kill you if given the oppurtunity."

Matt stepped forward.

"Tell me old man! I'll force you if I have to!" he roared, gripping his digivice with one hand, making Gabumon look extremely uncomfortable.

"I don't think he does anymore," Joe spoke up weakly. "As Vikemon, me and Gomamon destroyed a whole lot of his forces before we beat MetalEtemon. This might be our best chance to finish Puppetmon once and for all."

Stunned silence greeted this statement as everyone processed this information. Joe briefly made eye-contact with Matt and the blonde was stunned to see support in his normally cautious friend's eyes.

Gennai cleared his throat.

"Very well then," Gennai said, resignation in his tone. "I'll tell you where Puppetmon's mansion is. I guess I've bossed you all around enough; you need to make your own decisions. I just implore all of you to just be careful. Who knows what sort of tricks Puppetmon has up his sleeve?"

Angemon descended onto the long driveway leading up to the manor. It was paved with grey stone bricks and was lined with torches, all burning blue flames, further enhancing the mystigue of the four-story manor ahead of him. He walked forward, his steel boots making a solid, imposing noise on the bricks as he moved towards the mansion.

Up ahead, Cherrymon banged his wooden arms on the door, trying to get in.

"Please, Lord Puppetmon!" he begged. "Please let me in! I delievered the digidestined just like you said!"

He soon collapsed into terrified sobs as the sound of metal on paving came steadily closer up behind him. Angemon might have felt a small amount of pity for the creature had he not seen it delete Gorillamon in such a cruel manner, or had Tk not been held captive partly because of him.

Already planning ahead, Angemon realised he was most likely going ot have to locate Tk quickly and then run for it, before Puppetmon could react. He was still a mega while Angemon was only a champion, and he most likely would not have time to digivolve to ultimate before being cut down.

Approaching Cherrymon, the champion cocked his fist back, it glowing with holy energy. Just as he approached the back of the trembling and sobbing ultimate, Cherrymon suddenly spun round.

"Gotcha!"

Roots suddenly sprouted around Angemon, ensnaring him completely and binding him to the point of paralysis.

"No!" he cried, as the roots thickened and penetrated his skin.

Cherrymon chuckled, not a tear present on his face.

"Did you really think I would be scared of a lowly champion?" he asked mockingly. "I'll drain you dry, just like I did to the last fool who tried to destroy me!"

Angemon screamed as he felt his energy sucked out of him. He watched helpless as Cherrymon's injuries began to heal themselves in front of him. The injuries both he and Gorillamon had managed to give him began to seal and mend themselves to the point where Cherrymon looked practically new.

His thoughts were becoming disconnected. He had failed Tk, unable to even make it into the front doors of the mansion, let alone escape with his partner.

"You have quite a bit of energy for a champion," Cherrymon noted idly, ripping off a strange growth of bark and using it as his new walking stick. "Don't worry, I'll make good use of every last drop."

Angemon began to black out.

'No... Tk...'

Tk ran throughout the maze of a house, never stopping, never daring to look back in fear of suddenly spying the mega chasing him down. He ran with the dolls of his brother, Tai and Kari in his arms, trying to dream up some way of destroying them.

Whatever Puppetmon had done to the puppet of him, had happened to the real him. Tk had also spotted that map Puppetmon had on the floor. Did that inclued being able to move them around in his territory?

He wracked his brain looking for an answer as he ran up another flight of stairs, ignoring the way some of the eyes in the paintings seemed to follow him. In fact, why hadn't Puppetmon already found him, if he could control his every move?

"They're set up all around the forest," Gorillamon explained quietly, pointing towards the security camera.

Tk's eyes widened as he ducked down into a nearby side corridor, nearly knocking over a vase stood on a pedestal in the middle of the corridor. Could Puppetmon only use the dolls if he could see them? That might just be it! So he'd have to avoid getting spotted by Puppetmon, otherwise the mega could control his movements.

Suddenly, footsteps could be heard nearby. Panicking, Tk threw open the nearest door and shut himself inside. In total darkness, Tk groped forward, climbing over numerous cushions and bits of metal until he reached a curtain. Throwing it aside to hopefully see a window, Tk instead only saw blackness as his shoes made a distinctly wooden sound as they hit the floor.

In an instant, the lights flickered on and Tk could see. He appeared to be backstage in some sort of weird theatre. Thick red curtains, which he had pushed through, obscured the entrance and presumably the audience's seats. Upwards, Tk could see thick metal scaffoldings above.

He gasped and nearly stepped backwards in shock, before relaxing. For a moment, he thought there were digimon hanging dead from the rafters, but it was just large puppets, their strings tied up above. This whole room was a large puppet theatre!

How big was this house?

Wooden footsteps suddenly reverberated from in front of the curtain.

"Where are you, Tk?" Puppetmon called mockingly, walking down the rows of seats towards the stage. "I know you're in here somewhere! Don't worry, I won't hurt you. Friends forgive each other, you know. But I will have to punish you!"

Clamping a hand over his mouth to cover his heavy breathing, Tk tried to walk forward as quietly as possible. There had to be some sort of way out of here! Some backstage exit or something!

Quickly locating a nearby door, Tk opened and closed it as quietly as possible. Opening the door seemed to turn on the lights to this room. A nearby torch hanging on the wall, suddenly flickered into life. He then almost groaned in despair. He was stuck what looked like a storage room, filled with all sorts of sets and old-looking puppets collecting dust, forgotten by their master.

He quickly darted through, looking for an exit. There was nothing but dusty walls. Looking about for somewhere to hide, Tk managed to squeeze behind a cupboard, listening for the tell-tale clonking of Puppetmon's footsteps.

His heart was hammering and his own haggered breathing seemed far too loud in the encroaching silence. Trying to stifle himself, Tk put a hand over his mouth and tried not to make a sound in his terror.

What was he supposed to do? He was going to be killed by a mega digimon and there was nothing he could do about it! He would never see Patamon or the rest of his friends again!

His mom and his dad would never know what happened to him! He never even got to say a goodbye! Looking at the doll of Matt, Tk realised he never even got to say goodbye to his brother either!

'What am I supposed to do, Matt?' he asked, looking at the lifeless doll in his hands. 'How am I supposed to get out of this?'

The doll didn't answer, merely looking at him with a blank smile on it's face. Tk heard the door open and felt his hands begin to shake in fear.

'This is it!' he thought with finality. 'I'm going to die here.'

He kept saying this over and over to himself, yet the longer he stared at the likeness of his brother, the more that little spark inside him refused to die. Matt wouldn't have given up, a part of him seemed to say.

Tai wouldn't have given up either.

He looked at the dolls of those two in his hands. All this time it had been these two that he'd looked up to the most this whole adventure. Each time he'd lost his way, one of those two would come and hold his hand to bring him back on track.

Now they were watching him to see what he would do. This time they weren't coming, they weren't going to be able to help him. This time, he Takeru Takaishi, Had to find a way out of this on his own.

Something powerful within Tk stirred at this. He no longer felt like he had to accept his fate. He could and would get out of this!

Just as a wooden hand reached over and turned the cupboard around, a bright light shone from out of Tk's chest. The Crest of Hope blinded the mega, who screamed and leapt back in pain and surprise, the doll of Tk flying from his hands to land somewhere in the mess of puppets in front of them.

Tk took his chance and ran forwards, grabbing the torch off the wall. He threw it hard to the floor, letting the hungry flames spill out over the entire wooden room. In a matter of seconds the fire ate it's way through much of the contents of the room. Then, silently thanking them for their support, Tk threw the dolls into the fire, and let them be consumed by the ravenous flames.

Puppetmon recovered in time, just to see the fire spread throughout across the area.

"No!" he wailed, rushing forwards to try and extinguish the fire. "You brat! What have you done!?"

But Tk was already out of the door. He ran and ran until he was out of the theatre and into the corridor. There he continued to run, his crest still shining, peeling away the false veneer the mansions presented as the entire structure seemed to rumble and roar in the wake of this personal attack upon it.

The pleasant wallpapers slowly melted away like blood to reveal decrepit, charred walls. The paintings of amiable digimon vanished to be replaced by nightmarish figures, writhing about in pits of fire, before they too vanished to be replaced by nothing but darkness that sank back into the walls.

Tk kept on running, even as the mansion seemed to come apart around him. The halls were twisting and turning, but were no longer able to confuse him. Not with his crest lighting the way.

'I'm almost out of here everyone!' he realised, smiling despite himself. 'Just you wait, I'm almost free!'

Angemon felt a huge amount of power surge through him. He began to glow yellow as the power became too much for his current form to bear. He felt his body changing, growing stronger as armour and weapons appeared along his body.

Cherrymon backed off in surprise as with a mighty cry his captor yelled out his new level to the world.

"MagnaAngemon!" the digimon declared as the roots cracked and burst around him, leaving the ultimate free to glare at Cherrymon.

Cherrymon seemed surprised before grinning.

"I'll admit I'm surprised, but really, lets be honest here kid, you simply can't win," he stated as if it was natural. "You may have digivolved, but I still absorbed a good deal of your energy. Face it, you might as well turn around and fly out of here while you can still move!"

MagnaAngemon said nothing in response, merely gazing at Cherrymon in silence.

"Oh? Think you're a big shot because you have nothing to say?" Cherrymon taunted. "Just remember: your little friend is in there. He could die at any moment and you'd never know. You can't get past me so why not just run. I'll let you go; just this once. It's the least I could do for you giving me so much of your delicious power."

MagnaAngemon still said nothing, not reacting at all. Cherrymon frowned.

"What's the matter? Did I suck out your brains along with your power?" he asked. "Hello? Can you understand me?! Say something! I've absorbed all your power, help kidnapped your friend and now you want to fight me!"

"No," MagnaAngemon stated suddenly, shocking Cherrymon into silence.

The wind rustled the nearby trees as the two ultimates stared one another down.

"I'm not here to fight you," the angel stated serenely. "I'm here to kill you."

He ignited his blade. A purple energy sword extended from his right arm as MagnaAngemon shot forwards. In an instant he sliced his blade across Cherrymon's trunk, causing the ultimate to scream in pain.

"Cherry Bomb!" he roared, firing his explosive attacks at the ultimate.

Gracefully, MagnaAngmon avoided each over and under, before simply slicing the last one in half, sending both ends of the attack behind him. He then shot forwards again.

Desperately, Cherrymon raised his walking stick in defence, getting it cleaved in half for his effort. The ultimate suddenly grinned, as more roots shot up from the ground to ensnare MagnaAngemon.

Frowning, the angel destroyed them with a single swing of his blade, before turning back to Cherrymon.

"I must commend your use of tactics, but they will not save you from me," he declared, walking forwards menacingly.

Cherrymon backed away even further, wracking his mind for ideas. He only had one strategy left. It would take up alot of energy, but it was guaranteed to work on one as holy and just as this guy.

'Illusion Mist!' Cherrymon thought, unleashing a purple mist that quickly covered the battlefield.

Looking around in alarm, MagnaAngemon watched as Cherrymon vanished from sight and the rest of his senses.

'This must be some sort of smokescreen,' he deduced. 'I'd better be on my guard.'

Ready for another attack out of the ground, MagnaAngemon held his sword up ready for the next attack.

"MagnaAngemon!" a familiar voice called out.

The angel swivelled in an instant to see Tk running towards him.

"Tk!" he yelled out surprised, watching as the eight year old ran towards him unharmed. "How did you get out?"

"I managed to trick him, he wasn't very smart," Tk answered, smiling up at the ultimate. "Can we go see the others?"

MagnaAngemon frowned.

"Sure Tk," he said, before ramming his blade through the boy's head.

There was a scream of pain as, in an instant, the image of his partner faded to be replaced by a root which vanished into data.

"What in the Dark Area?!" Cherrymon's voice rumbled from all around him. "What is wrong with you? You were willing to kill your friend?!"

"I know my partner and the connection we share!" MagnaAngemon declared. "And that was not Tk! Your trick won't fool me! I've been under the spell of more powerful illusion masters than you!"

"Then perhaps a change in strategy," Cherrymon said, as suddenly ten of him appeared surrounding MagnaAngemon. "Please try and figure out which of my attacks are real. It will be very amusing. Cherry Bombs!"

The angel leapt into the air as countless bombs shot through the space he had just been occupying. He couldn't take the chance at which ones were real or not as if they actually hit they would be devastating.

So he wouldn't bother.

Flying into the air, high above the purple fog, MagnaAngemon carved a large circle into the air with his sword.

"Gate of Destiny," he spoke, as his attack began to suck everything in.

The fog was slowly drawn into the air, along with all the fake Cherrymon, who vanished into the portal. Soon all the fog was gone, exposing the real Cherrymon down below. His roots had dug in deeply into the ground, which he was using to resist the pull of the gate.

Descending down slowly, MagnaAngemon landed in front of the ultimate, utterly unaffected by the gate's pull. He walked slowly towards Cherrymon, brandishing his energy sword.

Cherrymon's yellow eyes widened as he eyed it with growing alarm.

"L-look listen," he pleaded. "I didn't mean all those things I said! Just let me go and I'll leave you and all your friends alone, I swear! Please have mercy!"

"You tried to fool me with an image of my partner," MagnaAngemon stated calmly. "You ruthlessly killed Gorillamon and countless other digimon, all in aid of your master who conquered the digital world. You also helped kidnapped my partner and then had the gall to gloat about it before trying to kill me."

Cherrymon whimpered.

"My mercy is all used up."

His sword began to glow and surged with power.

"Excalibur's Grace!" MagnaAngemon roared, swinging his blade and slicing Cherrymon in half.

The bottom half immediately vanished into data, whilst the top half began to fly off into the air and towards the gate. Before it could get there, the door to the mansions opened, revealing Tk who stumbled outside.

"Tk!" MagnaAngemon yelled, cancelling his attack before it could pick up his partner.

The gate vanished, causing the remains of Cherrymon to fall out of the sky and hit the ground hard near MagnaAngemon. The ultimate groaned in pain but otherwise laid still, unable to move, but unable to die.

"MagnaAngemon!" Tk cheered. "I did it! I escaped!"

The ultimate smiled, he could feel and see the power flowing between the two of them. There was no doubt that this was his real partner. Just as Tk ran forward towards MagnaAngemon, a set of strings suddenly yanked him backwards.

"No!" the ultimate yelled in horror as Puppetmon stormed out of his house angrily, his yellow eyes practically glowing with malice.

In one hand he grabbed Tk and held him up next to him. His other contained his metal staff, along with what looked like a doll.

"What's this?" the mega asked, holding Tk with one of his arms. "Has your friend come to take you away from me? It seems he's in a bit of a pickle though, hmm?"

Gritting his teeth, MagnaAngemon held his blade towards the remains of Cherrymon.

"Let him go Puppetmon, or I'll execute your second-in-command!"

Puppetmon just laughed.

"Please, go right ahead," the mega stated. " I don't want him to be my friend anymore. He was getting boring anyway. His pathetic begging was fun to listen to for a bit, but now I'm just sick of it."

He then leaned forward, as if to divulge some great secret.

"And you know what I've just found out? That I do like the sound that this kid makes when he's scared!"

He squeezed Tk for emphasis, who did his best not to make a sound. Puppetmon frowned.

"I wonder what sounds he'll make when he's in pain?"

"STOP IT PUPPETMON!" MagnaAngemon roared, stepping forward angrily.

Puppetmon wagged a finger.

"Uh, uh, uh," he taunted. "I know you're eager to play, but I'm busy right now. You were finished with Cherrymon so easily, so I thought I'd better get you a new playmate."

He snapped his fingers. Without warning, the ground began to shake. His huge mansion began to rise out of the ground; parts of it detaching and reattaching in different places. The structure grew arms and legs, which ended in fists and feet, until what looked like a giant robot house stood there, glaring down at the ultimate.

It's sheer size gave MagnaAngemon pause for thought.

"Mansion," Puppetmon ordered. "Go play."

With an inhuman roar, the mansion lurched forwards towards MagnaAngemon. The ultimate immediately took to the air, avoiding the huge foot that came crashing down where he'd just been. He then barely avoided being swatted by a large hand, which crushed some nearby trees into paste.

The mansion drove MagnaAngemon further back from Tk and Puppetmon. The thing was just too big and fast! He couldn't find an opening!

"Wing Blade!" a voice cried out.

A huge bird made of fire crashed into the mansion, sending it stumbling away. MagnaAngemon turned to see Garudamon and Zudomon enter the battle.

"You're both here? What took you?" he asked jokingly.

"We were held up," Garudamon explained.

"Yeah, we'll explain later," Zudomon said. "For now, lets just kill this thing!"

Puppetmon stared as two more ultimates entered the fray against his mansion.

"What?! That's not fair!" he roared. "Where did they come from?!"

"Matt!" Tk yelled out joyously, looking down the pathway.

Puppetmon turned to see something terrifying. A blonde boy was walking up the pathway towards him, a Gabumon walking right beside him. His icy blue eyes were locked on Puppetmon. The mega shivered, death was in those eyes.

Matt continued walking towards Puppetmon, past many of the torches and past the remains of Cherrymon to stand in front of the mega fearlessly.

"Give my brother back," Matt demanded. "Now."

"Uh, uh!" Puppetmon taunted, wagging his finger. "You didn't say the magic word!"

"Give him back or I'll carve you into firewood!" Matt yelled, dropping all semblence of calm.

"And how exactly would you go about doing that, huh?" Puppetmon asked, maneveruing his hand to reveal something. "When I have this!?"

In his hand he held a slightly singed doll of Matt in his hand.

"And what exactly is that going to do?" Matt scoffed.

Puppetmon grinned and held one of the dolls arms behind it's back. Matt gasped as he felt his own arm twist itself behind him.

"Matt!" Gabumon gasped in concern. "What have you done to him?"

"It's my little trick!" Puppetmon explained. "Whatever happens to this doll, will happen to you! Now, who were you threatening just now?"

Puppetmon giggled, twisting the arm painfully. Matt winced, as he felt his arm force itself into the same position.

"I could just end it here," Puppetmon said, poising his hand over the doll's head. "A simple twist and it will all be over."

Tk began to struggle widly, but against a mega's strength it was to no avail.

"Now what will you do?" the Dark Master mocked, turning his head. "I'll give you a bit of time, don't worry, but that doesn't mean I'm going to stop twisting!"

He laughed, bending the arm back further. Matt held in a yelp of pain. Any further and his arm will break! There had to be a way out if this, come on think! Every technique has a weakness, what was this one's?

The doll and he were linked, whatever happened to the doll happened to him. How could he exploit that?

"Times running out!" Puppetmon sang.

Matt tried to foucs, tuning out the sounds of explosions in the distance where the others were fighting. He calmed himself. All he could hear was the near silen crackle of the flame in the torch near him.

His eyes shot wide open.

He'd gotten an idea, but it was going to hurt.

Immediately, Matt shoved his other hand into the torchflame. The doll immediately burst into flames, stunning Puppetmon. The mega slowly turned back towards Matt, his yellow eyes wide.

"Hand. Him. Over," Matt ordered.

Puppetmon froze for an instant before laughing it off.

"Sure," he murmured, before yelling. "Catch!"

He grabbed Tk by his collar and threw him through the air. Matt's eyes widened as he instinctively leapt forwards trying to catch his brother. Puppetmon pulled back on his strings that were still attached to Tk.

Crack!

With a sickening cracking sound, Tk fell out of the air and onto the ground, his head facing the wrong direction.

Matt froze, his entire body stopping instantly. In complete shock he stared at the body of his little brother in silence for a single moment.

A wail of pain and rage flung itself lose from within him, before it slowly turned into a roar. A bright flash of light accomanied it as MetalGarurumon stormed forwards towards the doomed Dark Master.

"I'LL KILL YOU!" the monstrosity howled, beyond any semblence of reason, lunging at Puppetmon.

Bringing his metal staff to bare, it just managed to catch the wolf's jaws, saving his neck.

"What are you so angry about? I gave him back!" Puppetmon said.

MetalGarurumon's eyes were wild slits as through sheer strength it ripped the weapon from Puppetmon's hands. With a mighty crunch, it broke the weapon in two with it's powerful jaws.

Filled with a sudden fear at the creature in front of him, Puppetmon ran. Ran away into the forest, shortly followed by the mega chasing him.

The body of Tk suddenly vanished into smoke, leaving a very confused looking Tk.

Nearby Cherrymon cackled, an almost completely severed arm extended.

"Try getting out of that," he choked. "You'll get what you deserve."

And with the last of his power completely used up, the ultimate burst into data, leaving Tk alone in the clearing.

"Vulcan's Hammer!"

"Wing Blade!"

"Excalibur's Grace!"

The electricity from the hammer hit the mansion in the joints at it's knees, bringing it down. The fire attack covered it completely, setting the wood ablaze and causing it to wail in agony. Then, finally, MagnaAngemon's extended blade, carved the creature's arm off, dropping it into the forest below where it vanished into data.

"It's weakened!" Garudamon cried.

The mansion tried to fight back, lifting it's hand and trying to crush Zudomon. The ground shook with it's sheer strength but the blow was blocked with Zudomon's hammer, leaving the creature open to a final assault.

"Wing Blade!" Garudamon yelled, pouring all her energy into her final attack.

The powerful fire swept over the mansion monster once more, beginning to reduce it to ash. Seizing on his chance, Zudomon threw it off and swung his hammer into it's torso. The mighty blow sent shockwaves throughout it's entire structure, causing it crumble and it's remaining limbs to drop off.

MagnaAngemon flew upwards towards it's head, his blade ready.

"Excalibur's Grace!"

His sword grew in power and he stabbed it through the things head, ending the fight for good. The monster moaned before crumbling into dust then bursting into data. Cheering from nearby could be heard as Sora and Joe stood there, looking proudly at their partners.

In an instant Zudomon dedigivolved back into Gomamon and ran up to Joe.

"How're you feeling, Joe? A bit better?" he asked concerned.

Joe nodded.

"A little, though I don't think I can take going mega again any time soon."

"Guys, we need to help Matt and Gabumon fight Puppetmon!" Sora reminded them. "Come on, this way!"

MagnaAngemon had already flown off. The rest climbed onto Garudmon who quickly followed the ultimate the rest of the way. They soon came upon where they had left Matt.

There was no one there other than Tk, who was talking to MagnaAngemon.

"What happened Tk?" his partner asked, looking over his partner for injuries.

"I'm not sure," Tk replied, a little scared. "Puppetmon threw me into the air and I hit the ground, but then Matt screamed for some reason. The next thing I knew he'd become MetalGarurumon and they chased after Puppetmon."

Tk seemed a little worried.

"I've never seen Matt this upset before," he muttered, although everyone heard him.

"Lets go find them," Sora decided in a tone that left no room for argument. "They must have gone to fight somewhere else."

MagnaAngemon looked thoughtful, noticing Puppetmon's snapped staff.

"I think I can tell which way they went," he said, trying to focus. "Follow me, and stay together. Puppetmon is a trickster, there's no telling what depths he might sink to."

Puppetmon desperately scrabbled through the leaves across into another identical bit of forest. Despite having ruled it for years, he barely knew any of his territory by heart. He'd always had people to do it for him and now he was hoplessly lost!

The sound of tearing trees behind him, made him pick up the pace. This was a terror unlike any he'd ever known. There was no reasoning with it, no tricking it, no torturing it. If it caught up with him he was dead.

And there was nothing he could do about it.

Running through the undergrowth, nearly tripping and falling into the mud, before righting himself and sprinting away from the maniac trying to kill him. He didn't even have a weapon anymore. That thing had bitten it in half!

He had barely reached another identical clearing when a blue blur from behind knocked him off of his feet. Rolling through the grass, he managed to right himself at about the same time MetalGarurumon did.

For a brief moment they stared into each other's eyes. Icy blue into lemon yellow.

Grabbing the wooden cross on his back, he flung it towards the animal.

"Puppet Pummel!" he cried, the attack shooting towards MetalGarurumon like a spinning disc of death.

The metal mega simply jumped over it, letting the cross slice through several trees behind him. Puppetmon grinned, that had only been a distraction for his real attack. In that moment he had attached his puppet strings to MetalGarurumon's limbs.

"Now you're under my complete control!" Puppetmon shouted, laughing madly. "I can make you dance! Dance for me! Dance!"

He moved and waggled his fingers, but MetalGarurumon didn't move. He only walked slowly towards the other mega, his teeth bared.

"Drill Nose!" Puppetmon screamed, his sharp nose spinning like a drill.

He shot forwards, using his strings as balance he flung himself around to the side of MetalGarurumon and hit him in the side. His nose drill screeched against the metal of the mega's hide, and left only a small scratch against it.

The Dark Master broke off his attack and swallowed nervously.

That was it.

He was going to die here.

The realisation shook him to the core as the great metal wolf turned to regard him.

"Metal Wolf Claw!" MetalGarurumon roared, the cold blast washing over Puppetmon.

The absolute zero temperature penetrated his inner workings to the core. The Dark Master toppled over backwards, where he hit the ground without ceremony.

"Friends... forgive...each other..." he croaked, before seizing up completely.

MetalGarurumon watched coldly as Puppetmon seized up and lay there.

"Grace Cross Freezer!" he yelled, opening up his salvos and firing at the Dark Master's body.

Even as Puppetmon's data floated off into the sky, he kept firing, howling as he did so. More and more of the environment around him became covered in ice as he screamed his rage and sorrow at the sky.

Eventually he stopped. Too tired and sad to even bother.

There was a flash of light as Matt and Gabumon became separate beings once more. Instantly he fell to the ground and sobbed, whilst Gabumon hugged Matt, at a loss for what else he could do.

Even as the ground began to shake and the forest fall apart, Matt didn't care. He merely held Gabumon and cried.

"Matt!" Sora called to him.

The others soon came running, calling out for him, as well.

But it was one voice that brought him back out. One voice that made Matt sit up and look around. One voice that made a shocked and disbelieving smile appear on his face.

It wasn't long after, as the digidestined flew away on Garudamon, that they watched as the forest collapsed into a dark abyss. Matt hugged his little brother tightly as Garudamon soared over, aiming for the great desert areas wrapping round Spiral Mountain.

Their journey wasn't over yet, but they were all alive and well.

And that was what mattered most.

A/N: And that's the end of Puppetmon! The next chapter will be focusing on the rest of the group as they try to survive in Piedmon's territory.

To answer a few questions:

Just to point out, since alot of people were mentioning it, no this is not the same Titamon that fought against the Olympus XII. Ogremon's evolution was powerful enough for him to take down MetalEtemon, thanks to his sword's ability to ignore armour, but he instead protected Gomamon from a fatal attack. That's why he lost. I mostly chose Titamon as an evolution since it was pretty unique for Ogremon, and highlighted how much he'd changed.

Impstar:Did I say MetalSeadramon was the weakest? I didn't mean to if I did. Puppetmon is undoubtedly the weakest of the Dark Masters. Could you possibly tell me where I said that so I can correct it?

EvanderAdvent:The one-hit kill thing is certainly a possibility where Super-Ultimate's are involved.

wentvoltage123: He digivolved while the chosen were dealing with Myotismon in their world.

kenegi:You are very smart.

treeofsakuras:Yes, a few others will be getting mega forms. The cave and the darkness thing will be implemented, don't worry. And the Piedmon fight will be interesting to say the least.

D-viewer742:Sharp of you to pick that up. Yes, it will take something a little extra in order to become a mega.

Ravenclaw-Girl28:I don't know about all of them, but there will be a few more. Wizardmon will find what he's searching for soon. Good thing you reminded me about the whole Queen thing. That gives me a really good idea...
