Once night came...

Katie was setting up the dining room table, as Annie was helping Katie's father with making some hot dogs for their dinner tonight. Katie felt a bit saddened by tonight, since it would be the first night she spends this holiday without Crystal by her side. But than again, Katie felt like she was better off at the moment, she she stopped sulking midway after the table was set.

She placed the plates and napkins down on the table after she placed the table cloth on it. Once all of that was done, she heard the doorbell ding. She knew that those were her friends at the door. Katie walks over to the door, and opens it up to see Chaz, Tim, and Pinky standing there outside of the house.

"Welcome to the party guys. My dad is making some hot dogs." Katie said, allowing the group into the house. Chaz, Tim, and Pinky walked into the house, as Katie closed the door.

"Thanks for having us, Kate." Tim said. "It was nice of you to invite us here." Katie nods.

"Eh, me and my dad were willing to have you guys over anyway." Katie walks over to Chaz, and kisses him on his lips, as Pinky giggles looking at them kiss. They stop and look at Pinky. "What's so funny?"

"Oh nothing..." Pinky said. "I just..." Pinky scratched the back of her head, and smiled slightly. "I didn't know YOU'D be the girl that is Katie." Katie raises an eyebrow.

"Who did you expect me to me?"

"Someone who looks like a girl." Katie shook her head, hearing that in shock.

"What?!"

"Sorry...you just look like a...a boy..." Katie rolled her eyes hearing that.

"Oh wow...I've heard that so much at school..." Katie mutters in annoyance. "Just go to the dinner table you weirdo in blue..."

Pinky looks down, shaking her head hearing that being said. Tim walks over to diner room, following his girlfriend into it too. Katie stayed near Chaz, as she crossed her arms, shaking her head. Chaz shrugged, looking at his girlfriend.

"Happy Fourth of July, Chaz." Katie said. Katie kisses her boyfriend on his cheek again, and smiled at him. "I'm just happy that we're here together now." Katie frowns a bit. "It's...kind of a shame that...Crystal isn't here for the first time...I mean...she always hanged out here during this holiday every time, you know?" Chaz nods.

"I understand." Chaz said. "I know you and Crystal were best friends...but..."

Suddenly, there was another knock on the door. Katie looks over to the front door confused by who was right here, right now. Katie didn't invite anyone else to come here, so she didn't know who was now here at the moment. Katie opens the front door to see who was here right now. She opens the door to see who was here right now, only to see a boy waiting for her outside.

The boy has flat blonde hair, circular glasses, a light blue buttoned-down dress shirt with a pocket protector and a black jacket, black dress pants, and brown loafers. The person appears to be just Katie's age, and exactly Katie's height. Katie just blinked at the man, looking at him with a raised eyebrow.

"Kathryn Morris, correct?" The man asked.

"Yeah..." Katie said, confused by her.

"Can you step outside for a minute?" Katie nods, still confused, as Chaz stayed inside, as his girlfriend walked out of the house. "My name is Ian Arneson. I volunteer at the courthouse as well as the library, because my aunt is the librarian." Katie stared at him, still wondering where this was going right now. "But mostly the library anyhow...but that is not the reason why I am here...I was hoping to talk to you about being in some sort of acquaintance with the recently convicted...Crystal Montell..." Katie frowns hearing that.

"I'm...sort of...well...she's not my best friend..." Katie said. "Let me guess...she sold me out during her little talk with one of the police..." Ian shrugs.

"I...believe that it's a theory, but I digress...so...she told me...or Walker told me, to inform you about being at the courthouse during the day that the trial takes place. I hope I'm not taking your input at an inappropriate hour, now am I?"

"Me and a couple of friends are hanging out together here for the Fourth of July if you don't mind. I don't know if now is really a good time to talk about all of this right now." Ian just nods, biting the bottom of his lip.

"I understand." Ian just pulls out a piece of paper with some words printed on the front of it. "I believe I should make our conversation brief than...the courthouse wants this paper signed if you want to go against her, or defend your best friend during this trial. If you are not wanting to join the court, you shall pass on the opportunity. Just have the paper signed by Saturday, and bring it to the library where me and my aunt worked at." Ian claps his hands, then spoke again. "Is that alright with you?" Katie nods.

"Yeah...thank you...Ian, was it?" Ian nods again. "Well, thank you. Now...I got to go back to the party now, and...maybe if you're apart of the courthouse situation."

"Yes. I will be there, Kathryn." Ian then bows his head, before heading off. "I must hurry back to my Aunt's library now. I must be going."

"Alright."

Katie took the piece of paper, and took it into the house. She just stared at it, sighing that she can't believe that she was stressing out about this all over again. This was going to feel a bit annoying for her to endure even worse than it is. When Katie got into the house, she sighed, and then stared at Chaz.

"Well...more rebel Crystal crap is given to me! Just great!" Katie said, annoyed right now. Chaz looks over to Katie, wondering what the problem is.

"What's that guy out there?" Chaz asked.

"That guy gave me a paper that has me asking if I want to go and either defend Crystal or go against her." Katie threw her hands in the air in annoyance. "I just can't believe that this is what I'm being asked." Katie throws her head back, and then walks over to the stairs. "I need to lie down right now. Alright?!" Katie walks over to the stairs, and then went to her bedroom.

"Shouldn't you eat first, babe?"

"I'll eat later..."

Chaz watches Katie head upstairs, as Pinky walks over to see his girlfriend walking up to her bedroom. Pinky looks over to the biker watching his girlfriend leave the living room.

"Um..." Pinky asked. Chaz holds up a hand, and looks over to Pinky.

"Don't worry about Katie. I'll talk to her, alright?" Chaz asked her. Pinky nods.

"Alright."

Pinky walks over to the kitchen, as Chaz headed up the stairs to try to comfort his girlfriend. Dinner was still being prepared, so Pinky decided to help Katie's father and her best friend at the cooking.

Back at the SPA Agency building...

Crystal was sitting down on the bed that she had in her cell, waiting for the next week to finally arrive so she can get the whole courthouse garbage out of the way for her life. The rebel girl kept her eyes on the window, looking at the night sky, wondering when she can finally leave, until a clang came from the side of the cell door. Crystal walks over to the side of the cell, wondering who was clanging on her cell door.

"What?" Crystal asked, looking out to the cell to her right, seeing a woman, standing there, looking at her.

The girl has brown extremely messy hair, bunny ears on a hairband, a black jacket with a dark green tube top underneath, dark blue skinny jeans, and black boot heels. She appears to be holding a mug in her hands. Crystal just stared at her, as the woman stared back at her.

"I guess this is your first time here, eh scumbag?" The girl said, an accent that sounds like she's one of the New England cities was heard in her voice. "I hope my clanging doesn't bother you none." Crystal rolls her eyes, hearing that.

"Look, whoever you are...can you quit it? It's not the first time I've been in juvie." Crystal said. The woman spoke again.

"Hey, I am in here because I've helped out with MorcuCorp. Done robbery, done stealing...yeah, me and this girl Brandi...we just done things for the Morcubus guy, and...man, would it be nice to see somebody like her again..." Crystal raises an eyebrow, looking at this girl.

"You're friends with our Brandi member? The liar who is the most annoying out of all of us in the group? That girl is so annoying..." Crystal then leans on the bars. "And also...MorcuCorp is a myth, what makes you say that you've actually joined along that place?" The woman leans on the wall nearby, and spoke.

"Well...Brandi and I met back in BosSim, where I'm from...and...then Morcubus met up with us, and..." The girl shrugs. "...All I can say is, it was a hell of a ride..." She holds out a hand. "By the way, the name's Esma...you're Crystal. Right? I overheard that Walker guy saying your name when he walks in or not." Crystal nods. "I can tell you this, when you've tick off the SPA to the point of making that whole junkyard collapse to the ground, let's just say you've ticked off the wrong people..." Crystal rolls her eyes nodding.

"I know...I've heard that the SPA are hard people to keep secrets from, considering that they are good at solving any mystery, anywhere. And even figured out there's a yeti out there in the snowy mountains in the Yukon or Alaska." Crystal crossed her arms, then looks at Esma. "Look, I may have an rebellious mindset, but I am not going to join a bunch of evil psychos like MorcuCorp." Esma shook her head, as she stared at Crystal some more.

"No no no no...MorcuCorp has since stopped since Morcubus disappeared in the Realm of Nightmares...so...yeah...don't worry about that." Crystal nods, finding that okay. "And let's just say that when it comes to the court cases in this SPA Agency...let's just say that you might as well prepare for the worse, because anything like what you did...the town of Simport will instantly say guilty." Crystal leans her head on the wall.

"Well great...I may as well hate my life even worse..." Crystal sighed. "Okay...Katie may no longer be friends with me...but...I am willing to put faith that she'll back me up on this...I just..." Crystal looks down, feeling sad at that part. "Truthfully...I just...I just hope she's still on my side..." Esma frowns hearing that.

"Katie and you best friends or something?"

"Yeah. My only friend...somebody who's been always there for me...and...I know I messed up big time on this shit...but I just wish that Katie wouldn't go against me...I never had friends when I was younger, and...when she showed up in my life...I felt like my life is better with her there as a friend..." Esma just stared at Crystal, and then smirked at her.

"Well...to be fair...I might've called you scumbag...but let's just say that that in my neighborhood is just my way of saying friend to others. I called that to Brandi before, and...since I don't see her anywhere...I guess I'll just have to find a new girl to have as a friend. Is that cool with you?" Crystal just stared at her, and then shrugs.

"I guess for now, until Walker ends up throwing me into a prison..." Crystal said, shaking her head. "Just don't think you're my best friend, because that is what I call Katie." Esma smirked, and nodded.

"Sure, scumbag...sure..."
