Chapter 28
Roy let out a yell as he pulled back his bow and let his arrow that had a sharp edge fly towards Sportsmaster who had lunged at the red haired archer. Sportsmaster dodged the arrow as he landed a nasty punch to Roy's face, sending the hybrid flying into a wall.
Artemis launched a pointed arrow at the man who DNA she shared. Artemis could not call Sportsmaster her father as the man was not her father in any way, shape or form. Oliver Queen AKA Green Arrow was her father as the older archer had taken a chance with a daughter of two League of Shadows assassins.
Sportsmaster dodged the arrow much like he did with Red Arrow's arrow. "Really Baby Girl, that's not nice to try to fight your father." The Red eyed Lycanian snarked out as she lunged for his daughter only to get a fist in the face.
"You may have created me, but you are not my Father. You did nothing but abuse me. you tried to make Jade and I into perfect little clones which would have worked but thanks to Green Arrow I didn't become you and I Don't plan on ever becoming anything like you." Artemis yelled out as she launched another Arrow with a point at Sportsmaster.
"What makes you think that the Justice League would ever accept anyone like you? I am not talking about the fact that you have League of Shadows in your blood. I am talking about the fact that you are the daughter one of the most deadliest assassins in the Lycanian Empire." Sportsmaster told his daughter as he avoided a kick.
"Just because she is the daughter of a Lycanian Assassin that is loyal to a traitor to the Lycanian Royal family does not make her like her father." Roy yelled out as he launched another arrow at the insane assassin.
Once again Sportsmaster dodged the arrow. "I see that Brave Bow taught you well." The Lycanian assassin snickered out.
"How do you know about Brave Bow?" Roy asked as he fired another arrow at Sportsmaster.
"Who do you think cause the accident that caused his death?" The red eyed Lycanian replied with a evil smirk that could send chills down your spine.
Roy looked at Sportsmaster with his mouth hanging open. No one had been able to find out just how Brave Bow was killed as he had strange marks on his body that looked like he was mauled by an wild animal or something. Roy had never given up the search for who or what had taken one of the most loyalist humans he had ever met. Roy now knew the truth about what had really happened to his first human father figure.
In a fit of rage, Roy's eyes started to glow in anger which was not a good thing for a Hybrid of two alien races where anger was a dangerous.
Artemis stood off to the side as she watched her boyfriend's brother figure lose control of his senses but than again she would have done the same thing if she would have found out that the person who had killed her human guardian in cold blood was right in front of you. The blond archer just hoped that Roy wouldn't become what he hated with his anger. Artemis also had a feeling that the man she was force to call father for 10 years of her life may not survive to see the next day. Not that she cared as Sportsmaster was not the best of fathers to her or her sister.
Sportsmaster was shocked at the sight of Red Arrow and how fast he was transforming into his Hybrid form. Normally Methuselah/Lycanian Hybrids took several minutes to transform but the boy in front of him was transforming in less than a minute which was very rare.
As soon as Roy was done transforming into his FULL Hybrid form with included the skeleton like wings, the archer lunged at Sportsmaster knocking the Assassin into the wall so hard that it left a indent of the Villain in the wall.
Sportsmaster shook his head to clear his thoughts as he watched as the Hybrid once again lunged at him with the intention to kill him which he could tell that Red Arrow wanted to do just that based on the rage in yellowish white eyes. Never in his life had Sportsmaster seen such rage in the eyes of any race he had come across. The Assassin knew that he was in for the fight of his life and that his daughter was not going to help him at all.
Before Sportsmaster had time to blink, he found himself once again slammed up against the wall of the room he was in with a clawed hand digging into his throat cutting off his airway.
"You took away from me one of the few humans that wasn't afraid of me nor treated me like a monster. You are going to pay for what you did to Brave Bow. I promise you this!" Roy growled out as he tightened his grip on Sportsmaster.
"Roy, Stop!" Artemis's voice was heard behind the berserk Hybrid who was intent on killing her father.
"Don't try and stop me Artemis. He deserves to pay for what he had done to me and to you and to the countless others he has hurt." Roy replied as he eyes got even more whiter which was not a good thing. Eyes going pure white meant that the Lycanian or Methuselah was losing their humanity and becoming a beast that was uncontrollable.
"It is true that Sportsmaster does deserve to pay for what he has done to he has to all those that he had hurt and killed but if you kill him than you are no better than him and the ones he serves." Artemis told her fellow archer. "Roy, you want to show the world that you are not a cold-blooded killer but right now you becoming just that. Roy, you are not a killer nor will you ever be." Artemis pointed out in an attempt to stop Roy from doing something he would regret.
"Roy, I won't even claim to know Brave Bow but from what I know from stories I've heard about him, he wouldn't want you to kill anyone. You are not a Killer and never will be Roy." Artemis screamed out as she watched Roy squeeze her father's neck even tighter.
Roy looked at the archer that had replaced him when the team was first formed. Part of him was upset that Ollie had replaced him so fast but after finding out her past history with her family and what Artemis's father did to her mother. Artemis had all the right to want her father to die but here she was asking him not to kill Sportsmaster. Also Artemis was right about what Brave Bow would want for him to do. Brave Bow was not a killer and told him that no matter what life gives you.
Roy turned his head to look at Sportsmaster right in the eyes. Roy could see fear in the eyes of the Assassin which was rare. The Archer than realized that he was acting just like those that killed his birth family when he was younger.
Roy dropped Sportsmaster to the floor once he realized just what he was doing. He almost became the very same people that killed his family.
Artemis walked over to where Roy was and place a hand on her fellow Archer's shoulder. The Blond Archer noticed that her father was starting to get up. So Artemis walked over where the man that made her life hell and hurt her mother.
"What are you going to do Baby Girl?" Sportsmaster asked with a smirk on his face sure that his daughter was not going to do anything to him.
Artemis just grinned at her father before raising her hand and back handing him so hard that she broke the skin on the Assassin's face and sending him straight into the wall. Sportsmaster was knocked out cold.
Artemis turned to Roy who was doing something that the female archer had never seen Roy do. Roy was on his knees hugging himself. Artemis walked over to her male counterpart and hugged him.
Roy wrapped his arms around his brother's girlfriend who he knew would someday in the future would be his sister-in-law. Roy hated that Wally had feelings for Artemis but now he understood why Wally had fallen for Artemis even after finding out the truth about who Artemis was. Artemis was not her family nor would she ever be her family.
Roy looked up at Artemis which only lasted a few moments before the two archers heard running coming from behind them.
Roy, Artemis, are both of you okay?" Wally yelled before he rushed into the room to see his brother and girlfriend hugging each other which he didn't say anything about as he saw Sportsmaster out cold in the corner. Wally also saw Roy had transformed into his Hybrid form which was not a good thing.
"I am now thanks to Artemis." Roy said as he explained what had happened.
Wally smiled at his girlfriend before he went to hug her. "That's my girl." Wally told everyone before he kissed Artemis on the lips.
"Come on everyone, let's get the heck out of here." Eyolf said as she picked up Sportsmaster who had reverted to his human form.
Iris was carrying Rudia in a bridal like style after all Rudia was her sister-in-law and still deserved to be treated with respect.
The human, hybrids and Lycanians nodded their heads before they all let the room unaware of someone watching them. Someone who knew Roy from long ago.
Next chapter Roy's sister makes an appearance in one of the final chapters of this story.
