Author's note: Hi, I know it's been forever since the last update, I'm really sorry. Basically writer's block but I'm back and so is the story. I hope you like the chapter and again sorry about the wait. :) Let's continue shall we?
It was over. Just like that. People stood and applauded like everything was planned, like it was a magic show. Amy was stunned but glad it was over. While Martha and Shakespeare were taking bows she snuck backstage where the Doctor was staring at a clouded blue glass ball.
The Doctor heard her come in. He glanced behind him. "Not taking bows?"
Amy folded her arms shrugging. "Nah, too tired," She replied. "Who knew fighting space witches would be so tiring?" She added dramatically.
The Doctor chuckled.
She peered over his shoulder. The three Carrionites were trapped and very angry, banging and pointing at the Doctor angrily. Amy didn't speak carrionite but was pretty sure they were using colorful language.
"I take it they're not singing your praises, then?" She remarked.
The Doctor glanced at her smirking. "Apparently."
"What are you going to with it?" Amy asked.
He shrugged. "I have a place in the TARDIS."
She nodded. "Of course, bigger on the inside!" Amy teased nudging his shoulder.
The Doctor just playfully stuck his tongue out then kissed her cheek.
She smiled at him.
"Think we can we get out of here?" Amy asked.
"Sure, come on, then." He said placing his arm around her, hugging her shoulder as they walked out.
When they got outside Shakespeare was cozying up to Martha, saying sweet things in her ear. Martha just smiled weakly almost wincing like she wanted to enjoy it but couldn't.
Amy feigned being insulted. "Why that man!"
The Doctor laughed. "Don't worry," He smiled. "I'll whisper sweet things to you, later if you like?"
Amy blushed, lightly tapping his stomach. "You better."
They walked up on stage and the Doctor cleared his throat and they quickly separated.
Shakespeare blushed and cleared his throat. "Oh, I was just complementing on Martha and what a fine job she did. Wasn't I?" He added sweetly coming closer.
Martha smiled politely. "No offense but you really do need some breath mints." She said moving beside Amy.
He frowned sniffing his breath in his hand and making a face.
She smirked at her. "Told ya'."
Martha grunted then slowly smiled as finally hit her. "I just got hit on by William Shakespeare, didn't I?"
Amy grinned. "Getting used to this time travel thing, huh?"
"Well, time we go, then." The Doctor said.
"May I walk you to your time machine, Doctor?" He offered.
The Doctor looked at him surprised. "How…?"
Shakespeare chuckled. "Not the only genius around here, huh Doctor?"
He smirked. "Fair enough." The Doctor replied and they started back.
Outside everything seemed normal, well except for the cleanup around the theater but the sun was out and the breeze felt nice. Such a contrast from all the darkness and fog last night.
"So what happens with the Carrionites?" Shakespeare asked.
The Doctor shrugged. "All gone basically," He replied. "Shouldn't be back."
"What about all those things that happened? I mean won't people think it's witch craft or something?" He replied concerned.
The Doctor shook his head. "Nah, people here will just figure it was a magic show especially since it happen on stage and all."
He nodded. They eventually made it to the TARDIS.
"So this is the famous vessel, eh?" Shakespeare said looking over the TARDIS carefully feeling the wood. He frowned. "I thought these things would be bigger."
The Doctor casually shrugged and gently pat the TARDIS. "Well, it's a tight fit but we manage."
Amy suppressed a smirk.
"Sure, I can't convince you and your good ladies to stay longer?" He asked.
The Doctor shook his head. "Nah, time we were off."
"Very well," Shakespeare smiled and nodded. "Thank you, Doctor for everything." He said shaking his hand.
He smiled. "Our pleasure."
Shakespeare bowed his head. He then remembered something. "By the way the queen was looking for you."
The Doctor smiled. Probably wanted to thank him for saving the day.
Martha looked over at Amy. "He knows Queen Elizabeth the first?"
Amy scoffed. "He knows everybody." She remarked.
Just then they heard a loud booming female voice. "Doctor!"
Suddenly a woman dressed in a royal red and gold gown appeared with guards behind her. It was Queen Elizabeth the first!
Martha gawked. "No way!"
But something was wrong, Amy noticed. The queen was scowling at them.
Amy frowned. "Doctor, she doesn't look happy to see you." She commented.
He scoffed. "Ah, we're old friends," He replied. The Doctor smiled. "Elizabeth, how are you, dear?"
She glared at him. "Doctor!"
He frowned confused. Okay, this might not be good.
"Guards!" She commanded.
Their eyes widen as they raised their bow and arrows at them. Okay this was definitely bad.
"Fire!" She shouted.
The guards started shooting arrows.
"Okay, time to go!" The Doctor said grabbing their hands leading them inside.
Martha hurried in first.
"Blimey, what did you do now?" Amy remarked going in.
"No, idea," The Doctor said briefly glancing back. "But I can't wait to find out." He grinned. An arrow hit the side of the TARDIS and he quickly went inside. It was definitely time to go.
