A/N: Hello everyone. Finals are finally over for me. Thank goodness. Anyways, I would like to thank THEHOMESTUCKPANDA for following this fic. In case I don't update soon, I'll like to wish all of you a Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays.

Karane waited in the graveyard. "There you are, beautiful," Pipit greeted as he ran amongst the tombstones. The red-headed woman hugged the knight. Both separated with a grin. "I brought us some lunch," Pipit said reaching into his adventure pouch and pulling out a picnic basket.

"Aww, you're the best," Karane said kneeling down in the soft grass. Pipit knelt beside her and pulled out the food he had packed. Karane grinned as she saw the two canisters of pumpkin soup. "You must love me," she said with a giggle.

Pipit gave her a small smile and handed her one canister. "I just wish we could spend more time with each other," the brunette knight said with a sigh.

"We sit next to each other for all our classes," Karane said.

"But we can't talk during class," Pipit said with a frown.

Karane rolled her eyes, "we can talk, but you don't want to." Pipit frowned slightly. "That's not a bad thing. I'm glad that you are committed. I was just pulling your leg," Karane said holding her hands in a calming manner.

Pipit smiled and press his lips to her cheek. "I know. I love you." Karane could feel her heart burst. Rumbling broke the sweet movement. "What was that?" Pipit said pulling away from his girlfriend. A sharp jolt as if the entire island had shifted its position jolted through them. Pipit got to his feet. "This is not good. Go to each of the citizen's houses and get them ready to use their loftwings." Pipit said before he started to run off.

"Where are you going?" Karane asked, "What's happening?"

Pipit turned quickly, "Remember when I said that the headmaster and the instructors went on a long trip?" Not waiting for a response Pipit continued, "well, that was a lie. They disappeared along with Beedle's island and Fun Fun island." Pipit continued his trek. "I'll meet you in font of the Bazaar."

Karane knew at that moment what was happening; their home was going to plummet to the unforgiving abyss of the surface. The red-head ran under the stone bridge and begun knocking on each door. The first person she found was the gear peddler's mother, Goselle. The young mother and her daughter, Wyra and Kukiel. Gully the young bug catcher saw the large group and joined them. Wyra found her husband. The red-head looked over her group of Skyloftians and quickly counted heads. She had found all of them. Now just to rejoin Pipit.

This thought was broken when the ground dropped beneath her feet. The knight quickly fell on her hands and knees and grasped the railing of a near staircase. Her hair whipped in front of her face blinding her. Her stomach leaped to her throat. She tightened her grip on the railing as a scream was ripped from her throat. The screams of herself and the others were overcame by a deafening crashing sound as the island landed.

Gabriella and the other demon surrounded the ruins as the dust settled. The she-demon grabbed a young woman with red hair. "On your feet," she said briskly as she set the Hylian to her feet. The woman gave the she-demon a wide-eyed stare and screamed.

Gabriella could sense a malevolent presence behind her. The she-demon spun around and held up her staff to block the sword of the Bokoblin that tried to attack her. Gabriella grimaced at the force that the demon pushed against her. She could hear footsteps running away. Knowing that the young woman escaped, Gabriella focused on battling her enemy. She turned swiftly and the demon fell forward. The maid brought her metallic staff across the red demon's head and he fell to the ground.

Gabriella looked across the ruins at the battle in front of her. The demons that she had led were battling the Bokoblins that followed Demise. They were out numbered and many of the Bokoblins were attacking the Skypeople. Some managed to fight back. The closest to the maid was a plump woman in a blue dress. She let out a shrill scream as one of the Bokoblin approached her. Gabriella leaped into action and blocked the attack. The Bokoblin struck again and the maid stopped the sword. The woman behind the maid gave another shriek. Gabriella dared a glance behind her. Another Bokoblin had snuck behind the Hylian and had shoved the woman to the ground. Gabriella turned to stop the scimitar that the Bokoblin wielded. The woman shrieked again and the maid turned to stop whatever the new attack was. As soon as the she-demon turned her back the scimitar-wielding Bokoblin, he pulled her back. The she-demon fell on her back and brought up her staff to protect her front.

The Bokoblin leaned heavily on her staff, his face inches from her own. "You should have stayed in the kitchens, little maid," he shrieked in his native tongue. Gabriella narrowed her eyes and spat in his face. The Bokoblin growled and raised his scimitar. A metallic ring filled the air and the Bokoblin fell to the ground. A brunette sky woman held a frying pan in one hand and held her other hand out. Gabriella took it and the Hylian helped her to her feet.

"My name's Wryna. Have you seen my daughter, Kukiel?" She asked. Gabriella shook her head.

"I'll look for her," Gabriella said. The woman nodded and ran off to find her daughter. "Gabriella," She shouted to the mother. She doubted that the woman heard her , but that didn't concern the she-demon for the moment. Gabriella looked for the woman with the blue dress and found her.

Gabriella ran to the woman's prone form. She placed two fingers on the woman's throat to search for a pulse. The maid sighed as there was no sign of life from the woman. She got to her feet and looked for another Hylian to aid.

Pipit sliced off an arm from the dog-like creature that attacked him. He did a neat spin attack to behead the demon. The headless body landed on the ground and the knight turned to see Gondo defending one of the men that practically lived at Piper's Café. The old man held a stool in front of him trying to use it as a weapon. He turned his capped head to the left and the right fearfully.

Pipit could see that the men were struggling and he rushed to their aide. The little robot that floated beside Gondo was smashed out of the air landing with a thud. Pipit could only watch as Gondo looked to his fallen robot and was impaled with a large spear. With Gondo out of the way, another one of the creatures dispatched Croo with a simple stroke. Pipit killed the two that had killed his comrades.

The young knight bowed his head in respect and looked for more people to aide. He had to blink back tears as he looked at the scene in front of him. The sounds of battle were echoing through the clearing. On the far side of the clearing, he could see Link battling a large scaly being. The being had the advantage pushing the green-clad hero backwards. However the hero wasn't the only person battling this massive enemy on his own, two white-haired swordsmen were also aiding the hero. Pipit ran to the hero to aide him.

"Pipit, help me," a voice called stopping the knight in his tracks.

Karane ran through the battle. She searched for Pipit calling his name. A child's scream stopped her and she saw the young boy, Gully, running from one of the demons. He tripped and fell. Karane turned away as the demon pounced on the young boy. His loud screams softened into silence. Karane let tears fall from her eyes. She looked at the death that occurred around her. Dovos, the old man who always was speaking about Piper's food laid in a puddle of blood along with the potion man. Karane though could be grateful that the man's baby was no where to be found. She spun to look for any survivors. Groose's lackeys were battling a large group of demons. The tallest faltered and was killed instantly. The shorter tricked his enemy and ran into the woods. Karane sighed in relief knowing that the young man was safe, but now worried about Eagus who was battling about ten of these creatures. Karane saw Henya the lunch lady curled on her side and ran to the old woman's side.

"Henya. Speak to me," Karane cried as she shook the woman's shoulders gently. The older Hylian didn't respond and Karane removed her hands and wiped the tears that fell down her face. The young knight looked down at her hands covered in blood. She shook her head and wanted to shout the sky asking why could such a horrible thing happen. A short grunt brought her out of her self-pity. Karane looked up to Eagus. He smiled softly at her.

"Run, Karane," the man said breathlessly as he slumped down and fell in front of Karane. Karane was left in shock as the demon that killed Eagus looked hungrily down at her . Without a single thought Karane drew her blade and stabbed the demon under its ribcage. She backed away from the demon and searched for Pipit.

"Karane," she heard his voice call. Through the struggle of all the bodies, Karane could see Pipit's yellow tunic. She called his name back in relief, tears of joy running down her face. She followed his voice until she could see him. She saw the smile on his face and knew that he was glad that she was safe. The woman ran to him as he ran to her. With a shriek, a red body tackled Pipit to the ground and pinned him down. Karane screamed frantically and fought through the dwindling mass of people. She reached her fallen knight and pulled the demon off of him before she dispatched it.

She turned her attention to Pipit. His golden tunic was stained red and he held one hand to his throat. Red liquid flowed from between his fingers. Karane fell helplessly to her knees. She pulled out the first aide kit that she always carried with her. Her fingers fumbled as she looked for bandages, her teary eyes making it difficult to see. "Karane," Pipit's voice gurgled. Karane looked into the knight's brown eyes. "The..there … isn't…..any….thing …you can…do," Pipit said with difficulty.

Karane shook her head fervently, "I'm not leaving you." Pipit gave her a look that said that he wanted her to be safe. Karane leant forward and pressed her lips to his forehead. "I love you."

"I love you too," Pipit said with a heavy sigh. He closed his eyes and his breath shuttered. He didn't take another.

Gabriella found the woman that had saved her. The woman held a small girl in her arms. Gabriella caught up to the retreating woman. "There's a village in that direction that would be safe for you," Gabriella said pointing to the setting sun. The woman nodded her head gratefully. Gabriella ran beside her, determined to save at least these two Hylians.

A blow to the stomach knocked the wind out of the maid. She knelt to catch her breath and rolled to the side to avoid an attack from a Sheikah. Gabriella had no desire to harm the warrior and just dodged each of the warrior's attacks. The Sheikah turned its head to a sound and disappeared in a cloud of smoke leaving.

"Mommy?" a shrill voice called. Gabriella looked for the owner of the voice. The maid found the young girl that the woman was carrying crawling out of a hollow log. The maid knew that the woman had led the enemy away from her daughter. She also understood that the woman would probably wouldn't be able to return for her child. Gabriella ran to the girl and scooped the child into her arms.

"Shh. It's alright. I'll protect you," she said trying to comfort the child. The maid was relieved when the young girl didn't scream, but just buried her head into her cloak. Gabriella took a couple of breaths and begun making her way to the forest.

Gabriella smiled as the trees were feet away. She sighed in relief. Pain exploded in the side of her head. Panic filled her heart as darkness filled her view. She tried to scream, but the sound never came.

Groose lowered his bow as he saw the she-demon fall. He jumped from his perch and ran to the little girl who remained in the dead demon's arms. The red-head pushed through the mass of bodies which decreased rapidly many of the demons had run except the red ones which remained and still fought with the Sheikah. It was one of these red demons that caught sight of the little girl in the dead demon's arms. Groose loosed arrow after arrow, but none found their target.

The little girl didn't scream when the monster ended her life. Groose cursed and searched for the one person he blamed for this situation. He caught sight of the albino. She wielded a black blade that looked very much like Link's sword. The warriors seemed to pause for a moment and Groose took this time to load and release another arrow aiming for Rahzel's unprotected back.
