Sleepover

The preparations were set and everything was ready. The pillows were stacked on one side of the room and a mountain of blankets were stacked on the other side. Peach, Lucina, Rosalina, Palutena, Zelda and Samus stood in the center of the room all dressed in their pajamas clearly ready for the night that awaited them. Every girl had a glint of readiness in their eyes all except Samus, who is completely confused about the arrangement of the beds. She's trying to remember what happened prior to this moment.

'Rosalina, Zelda and Samus were sitting in the lounge, yawning at what appeared on the TV screen. None of them had any interest of what was shown before them, Rosalina flipped the channels and sighed in discontent. Once again, fighting was something that people weren't doing that day and Samus forbade Zelda from fighting anytime soon. The princess knew why the huntress was being overprotective but she couldn't help but feel a little tied down.

Samus sighed deeply. "Isn't there anything else on?" she asked the cosmic keeper. Rosalina only shook her head to Samus' annoyance. "God, am I the only one who thinks that just sitting here is boring?"

Zelda looked up at Samus. "Maybe I could register myself into-"

"You're not doing anything."

Zelda frowned. "But...but Sammy!"

"You're still in the middle of your training and I am not letting you go back out there until I know you are ready," Samus pointed out.

"But that doesn't mean I can't have a little fun?" Zelda crossed her arms in front of her chest and pouted.

"You couldn't fight me without letting me wrap you around with the whip again the last time we trained." Zelda's face flushed with embarrassment as Rosalina suppressed a giggle. Zelda glared at Samus who only chuckled as she confirmed her response. "Need I say more?"

Zelda huffed and rested her head against Samus' shoulder. "Then what will we do to repel this boredom?"

"I know what we can do!" a loud voice echoed from the hallway. Rosalina, Samus and Zelda turned their heads and saw Lucina and Peach running into the lounge wearing their pajamas. Suddenly, Samus was filled with a type of dread that she could only attain by the mushroom princess.

"Peach?" Zelda sat up on the couch and tilted her head to the side. "Why are you both dressed that way? It's not even time for curfew."

Peach winked at the Hylian princess which caused the girl to blush. She ran up to Zelda and took her by the wrist with a grin that spread across her cheeks. Zelda was terrified by now, and Samus glared at Peach in disbelief.

"We are all going to gather in my room and have our very own sleep over!" Peach cheered.

"A sleep over?" Zelda questioned. "What is that?"

"A sleep over, my dear Zelda, is when a person gathers all of their friends to their home and they all stay over for the night and party doing so many fun things through out the whole night! The sleeping comes when everyone has crashed on their sleeping bags and can no longer continue and thus we shall write on their face!"

Everyone, even Lucina, are confused about what the mushroom princess just spouted. Usually no one would understand her but this time she seemed practically crazy with what a sleep over is. Lucina stepped in and put a hand over Peach's mouth to keep her from talking any longer.

"Peach is right about people staying over someone's home, in this case it's going to be Peach's room. We will be staying up late in our sleep garments and we wanted to invite all of you to join."

Zelda clasped her hands together. "Oh I see, now I know why it is called a sleep over."

Samus raised her brow and crossed her arms over her chest. "All of us have to join?"

"Of course you all have to join!" Peach retorted with a puff to her chest. "Besides, it'll be nice for the girls to be gathered together and have a little fun."

"If you want all the girls to gather and have fun, then mind if I join in?" an unknown voice echoed in the room. Everyone searched around the room to find the owner of that voice. A bright blue light emanated in the middle of the room and Palutena appeared once the light dispelled. The Goddess smiled, she already wore a bright white nightgown with her staff and shield not on her person. "I'm sorry but I couldn't stop myself from overhearing this little conversation."

Lucina gasped and stepped behind Peach. "Pa-Palutena?"

Rosalina stood up from the couch and smiled at Palutena in return. "Palutena, it's nice to see you again."

"Like wise Rosalina," the Goddess greeted her. Her eyes drifted from Rosalina and they met that of Lucina who's eyes averted her.

"Ladies!" All eyes were now on Peach who now seemed unpleased. "So, sleepover. Anyone ready to have a fun night?"

Samus shook her head. "No."

"Samus, please?" Zelda begged. "You'll probably enjoy it."

"Or maybe I won't."

Zelda grabbed Samus' hand and gave her a gentle squeeze, her eyes stared right into Zelda's pleading eyes. They were inviting. She truly wanted Samus to join.

"It won't be fun without you." The huntress knew that right there and then she would not be able to say no to the Princess now. She sighed and agreed to the plan for the night.'

Samus clearly remembered the events and she was far beyond from being please. She now stood in her white T-shirt and blue shorts with Zelda, wearing a purple nightgown that stretched down to her ankles, holding onto her hand tightly. The only reason why she agreed to join in the first place was because Zelda begged her to join.

The room they were staying belonged to Princess Peach and Lucina. Both women had pushed their twin-sized beds together to one side of the room and made a full-sized bed for four people to sleep on while the rest of the girls can sleep on the floor.

'It won't be fun without you.' The princess' voice echoed in her mind.

"I hope you're right about this," the huntress muttered.

Peach stood in front of the girls with a pillow in hand and a smile plastered on her face. Samus was not pleased to see that the mushroom princess would be calling the shots. It's not like she wanted to herself but anyone else in the room would be better suited than Peach. Then again, she had no idea what sleepovers are about or what people do in it. Neither did Zelda so she guessed she had to deal with.

"So, this is the first time in any recorded history that any women in the smash mansion had a sleepover," Peach began, "In fact, this is the first time we had such a variety of women here in the mansion so that's great news. Even though not all of the girls are here, this is a great number so we can still have fun!" The girls around Samus all raised their arms and cheered.

"So what do we do first?" Rosalina asked as she held a bright yellow Luma close to her.

"Well, the first thing we can do is...well, what do you girls want to do?" Peach shrugged her shoulders and just smiled. "I actually feel like talking is all."

Samus tilted her head. "Talking? That's all you decided to do?"

"Hey, this is the first time I ever had this so don't be mean. It's always been so serious and I just want to bring a little fun." Peach held her hands behind her back and shifted her weight from one side to another.

Zelda placed a hand on Samus' shoulder and smiled. "Peach is right, it is always so serious for everyone." Peach puffed her chest out proudly while Samus just squinted her eyes at her. "Well we brought our pillows for this occasion, why not use them?"

Palutena rested a hand on her hip. "And how do we use them?"

"I know how to use mine," Samus growled as she reached over for her pillow and threw it at the pink wearing princess who was caught off guard by the act. It hit her right on her face and dropped her own pillow as she fell backwards onto the two mattresses.

All the girls in the room gasped.

"Samus!" Zelda reacted.

"Oh! Tis a pillow fight you want?" Peach picked up her pillow from the floor. "A pillow fight you shall get! Have at you!" Jumping right past Zelda, Peach swung her pillow downwards on Samus who jumped aside just in time.

"This is interesting," Rosalina murmured quietly as she reached for her own pillow.

Out of no where, Peach was smacked on the back of her head by the pillow that belonged to Rosalina. Both Rosalina and Samus gave each other a wicked smile and begun to attack together on the pink princess. Zelda too grabbed a pillow for herself.

"Two against one is not fair! Samus, you leave Peach alone this instant!" Zelda roared as she lunged at Samus.

"No, this is actually entertaining if you ask me!"

At the sidelines, Palutena and Lucina stood with such a questioning look in their eyes that they would not understand what to make of it. Where the girls actually fighting against one another, or were they actually having...fun? No one seemed to be calling out names or actually fist fighting, so maybe it is the latter of the two. Lucina did find it very questioning.

"Maybe I should join in on the fun too," Palutena stated as she picked up a randomly thrown pillow at her feet. "Not like me too sit in the sidelines doing nothing." A voice in the back of her head, that sounded like Pit, told her otherwise. Before she jumped in however, she looked down at Lucina who still had a puzzled look on her face. "Hey."

Lucina jumped and met the Goddess' gaze. "Yes?"

"Aren't you gonna join in?" Palutena spoke to her. "This seems like fun and you should probably enjoy yourself."

"Oh well-"

Peach was thrown in between them, landing on the mountain of pillows and groaned. "Samus you are such a bitch!" she hollered. After grabbing another pillow for her arsenal, she smiled at the two women. "Excuse me ladies," Peach spoke softly and returned to the fight by ramming into Samus.

Palutena and Lucina laughed.

"Such fire she has, am I right?" Palutena chuckled.

"Indeed, though she does make for a great friend," Lucina added.

"I bet. So what were you about to say before we were interrupted?"

"Oh, well..." Lucina paused. "I don't know how to have fun. Where I come from, war and disaster was everywhere I go, everywhere I look. There isn't time for it. In fact, the only time I actually have fun is when I practice with my Falchion and finalize a new technique but other than that, nothing."

There seemed to be something missing that Palutena noticed from Lucina. She doesn't know how to enjoy herself other than training herself to become better. If she didn't know any better, Lucina could be a replica of Samus without the anger and resentment of everyone. Maybe it was the lack of child like innocence that Palutena could see. She understood how it is for mortals to fight for a cause that was important to them. Though, the fact that Lucina was in that mindset upset the Goddess.

"Hey."

Lucina's eyes met with Palutena's once again but felt her cheeks warm up when she saw her smile. "Y-yes?"

Palutena held Lucina's hand and handed the warrior the pillow she held in her other hand. Lucina stared at the pillow then back at the Goddess who still had that radiant smile. "Come on and help me fight these girls."

Lucina's cheeks were so warm that she now believed that she was blushing. Gripping on the pillow tightly, she nodded her head and with a look of determination in her eyes, Palutena knew that this night would indeed be better now. Grabbing herself another pillow, Palutena took aim at the women standing in front of her. Lucina did the same and counted down together.

"Three...two...one..."

Both women scream as they charged at Zelda, Samus, Rosalina and Peach. Suddenly, the whole room was covered in feathers by the time the girls finally stopped their rampage on one another. Peach and Rosalina sat together on the bed, Palutena lay on what was left of the mountain of pillows with Lucina lying right next to her, and Zelda rested her head on Samus' chest as the huntress herself was lying on the floor.

"That was such an intense pillow fight," Peach giggled. "God, I thought Lucina was going to tear me apart."

Lucina shook her head. "Samus honestly would have done that if I didn't have Palutena to back me up." Samus nodded her head in agreement of that statement.

"Well, Rosalina actually knows her way with a pillow," Palutena added as she stretched her arms out.

"I don't know, I think Zelda and Samus teaming up together made things so much worse on all of us," Rosalina chuckled.

Zelda nuzzled against Samus. "I really did enjoy myself...what about you Samus?"

"I just like beating Peach's face in with a pillow. Enjoyed it more when Rosalina joined in."

A/N: Alright, another chapter out like I promised. This one was actually months in the making but I had writers block with this one and never came back to it till now. Might add more later on. Enjoy.
