Here's the next chapter of this story. I'm going to do this story's version of my favorite chapter of the Yu-Gi-Oh manga. Of course, I'm going to change a lot of things. I hope you like! Review please!
Jazz was on her desk, resting her chin on her hand, as she stared out the window. She used her other hand to doodle something on paper with wonder on her mind. So many crazy things have happened ever since Danny Phantom became a part of her brother's life. She felt lucky to be the first person to find out about this revelation. Danny's friends and parents did eventually find out later, but Jazz was the first to get to know this alter ego of her brother's on a personal level.
Danny Phantom shared the same name as Danny Fenton, because of a mishearing of Danny's name. It made sense. This ghost boy didn't remember who he was or his real name. For now, all he knew was that he was a prince in the ghost zone, didn't like humans, was willing to protect the innocent and somehow fused himself inside Danny Fenton when the portal turned on.
Jazz felt pity for the ghost boy. He was just a 14-year-old kid that was forced into a situation that he couldn't get out of. He couldn't remember who he is, on top of being fused with a human teenage boy. He couldn't remember his family, except his little sister and mother. Jazz could never imagine being in a situation like that. It made this ghost boy brave to be able to go through this and still feel confident enough to do his responsibilities. He was able to keep his caring nature and some sanity. Sure, he did go to far at times, but Danny Phantom was a very good person.
During the times of working with Danny Phantom, Jazz had grown fond and curious over this boy. She enjoyed their talks and times together, even flying with the ghost boy. When he wasn't punishing criminals, he acted so unsure, somewhat curious and very nice. Jazz could almost smile as she thought more about the times with the ghost boy. He was a bit young, but he was so cute with pretty green eyes and-
"Wha!?" Jazz gasped, her cheeks turning red. "Okay, that was weird. Did I just...?" She turned to look at herself in the mirror, located on her dresser, which showed her cherry red face. She then looked at the doodle she was drawing, there was no denying this now. She sighed. "I really like him... I don't even know if my parents would be fine with me dating a ghost." She slowly looked down on her doodle, which was of Danny Phantom's glowing green eyes. She smiled lovingly. "He does have pretty eyes."
"Danny!" Jazz heard her mom call her brother. She gasped, then quickly hid her doodle, before anyone saw it, by reflex.
Maddie peeked into her son's room. She saw Danny wearing some sort of helmet that covered half of his head. At the same time, he was typing something on a keyboard. Maddie rose two of her eyebrows, confused.
"Danny?" Maddie responded with curiosity. She then tapped on Danny's helmet before he jumped, then turned, taking it off.
"Mom!" Danny cried out.
"Danny, what in this world are you doing?"
"Oh, I'm creating a device for Danny to be able to play video games with me or do things online with me. We can even look up things online and he can help me with my homework too."
"Why couldn't you hear me?"
"It has earphones with it for me to hear Danny, so..."
"I see. Well, breakfast is downstairs and school will be starting soon."
"Oh, right! I'll be down soon!" Danny said, putting his stuff away to go downstairs for breakfast.
Danny got himself some toast and jam before heading out the door with Jazz. They normally walked together to the bus stop. While waiting, Jazz was messing with her iPhone, looking like she was on some sort of gaming site. Danny stared at it with curiosity, wanting to know what Jazz was doing. Her phone was colored turquoise and showed a pink screen with two blank spaces for her to write the names of two people.
"What's that?" Danny asked.
"N-Nothing!" Jazz cried out, blushing.
"Fine," Danny replied, minding his own business, then waited until Jazz was preoccupied before quickly snatching the phone from her. He glanced at the screen, while keeping it away from his sister's reach.
"Hey! Give it back!" Jazz cried out, trying to reach for the device.
"No way!" Danny smirked, messing with the device for a while, then narrowed his eyes. "Seriously, a love compatibility test?"
Jazz took the device back, then replied, "yes. I thought it'd be cool to see mine. You wanna try it?"
"Uh... no thanks. Why are you even interested in that kind of crud anyways? You don't even have a boyfriend."
"Th-That doesn't mean I can't find out how compatible I am with certain celebrities or even find out how compatible other people are!" Jazz cried out, blushing. Then, an idea popped in her head. "You wanna find out about you and Sam's love compatibility?"
"What!? Jazz, Sam and I aren't..." Danny cried out, a bit of blush appearing on his cheeks.
"Co'mon, just out of curiosity! Just type in your name, your birth name, and the name of the other person, then find out your compatibility! You can also find out your compatibility for friendship too."
"Jazz, I'm not going to find out my compatibility for someone that I've known since the second grade."
Jazz typed in Danny's and Sam's birth names anyways, then said, "huh, 85% It says, 'You know your partner, strengths and weaknesses included, better than anybody, as if you were their shadow. You are a shining example of a couple and good to see. Keep going as you are, but take the time to look after yourselves as individuals. You both like helping others and looking after them. Take time to breathe and recharge your batteries. Happiness has to be learned: Breathe in!'"
"Great. Let me know how your love life is going when I wait for Sam to walk down the isle in her wedding dress," Danny replied with a hint of sarcasm in his voice as Jazz stuck out her tongue.
Jazz sighed, then began typing her birth name and Danny Phantom's name. She gasped when she realized the results:
"76% You have a very smooth relationship. You are there for one another and love each other… hesitantly but truly. You've been together a while and are certain of your feelings without questioning things. Try all the same to go wild and surprise your other half every now and again. Plan a candle-lit dinner or weekend away to get away from it all. It's time to proclaim your love for each other loud and strong!"
Jazz showed a dust of pink on her cheeks, then sighed, thinking to herself, 'what am I kidding? I really have grown close to Danny Phantom and have grown a crush on him. But wait, he's still inside my brother's body and would my parents be fine with me dating a ghost, let alone one that lives inside my brother? I mean... is it possible for a human and ghost to hook up? I mean, I suppose ghosts were once human, so it probably could work. But... he's still using my brother's body. How would we work? I can't just fall for someone inside my brother's body!' She began thinking for a while, then sighed. 'Too late. I'm hopeless.'
The bus eventually came and dropped Jazz and Danny off to school.
In school, Danny entered his classroom to wait for his grades. Each student was handed a sheet of paper that showed the recording of his/her grade and test scores. The students with the lowest grades kept to themselves, not wanting to be embarrassed, while the students with the highest scores bragged about it.
Danny received his grades. Science and Math had excellent grades, but subjects like English and Social Studies were at an average. Danny could only sigh. Science and Math were always his strongest subjects. Things like History, English or things he felt were not entirely important were subjects he hardly cared to pay attention to. Danny, though, did find a way to make these grades not as big of a downer.
Dash looked over in Danny's direction and tapped his pen on the desk three times. Danny then gave Sam the same look, tapping his pen three times on the desk. She got her sheet out, looking at Paulina, tapping her pen three times. Paulina looked at Star's direction, tapping her pen on the desk three times. After that, Star looked at Kwan's direction, tapping her pen to the desk three times. Each of them pulled out a bingo sheet with numbers written on them. They would tap their pens a certain number of times to give the others their number.
Danny, Sam, Dash, Paulina, Star and Kwan all crossed out certain numbers. The students began noticing this and wondering what these five were doing. In fact, their teacher Mr. Lancer began noticing this. It was strange, but he never made a comment about it. Still, half these students' grades weren't very good, Sam and Danny being the smartest of the group. Sam excelled in everything, while Danny excelled in Math and Science. Sure, Danny was struggling in literature, but his skills in Math and Science were likely give him a better future.
After class, the school bell rang and the gang met together in the hallway to show their scores for their little Bingo game.
"I got three," Danny said.
"One," Kwan and Star said, sighing in defeat.
"Lucky number four," Sam bragged.
"Two," Paulina said.
"Aw man, I didn't even get any! Aw well, guess Nasty burgers on me, huh?" Dash sighed in defeat as Danny placed a hand on his shoulder.
"No worries. Better luck next time," Danny grinned.
"If there is a next time," Jazz pointed out. "You guys were using your grades to play a game, weren't you?"
"So?" Dash responded as Jazz sighed.
"Don't you guys take these grades seriously? Your grades in High School are what are going to get you into a good college."
"Relax, Jazz. We're just brighten up our down moods from low grades. It's not like we didn't work our hardest. You see, this actually encourages us to do better, because the lower our numbers our, the lesser chance we have on having BINGO's," Danny said.
"What do you mean?"
"Well, you see, each of us are given a Bingo card with 9's, 8's and 7's as the first digit of every number on each square, the only three digit number being 100. We cross out every number of those two digit high numbers we write. The one with the lowest Bingo or no Bingo has to buy everyone burgers. If more than one person has no Bingo, they have to split the cash."
"I suppose, but it's not studying or will help you to get better grades."
"Well, sorry, if I can't be Miss Perfect like you," Danny humphed as Jazz sighed, then glared slightly.
"I'm just trying to help."
"At least I don't have fun by playing with Love Compatibility Tests," Danny smirked as Jazz flushed a bit.
"That is non of your-" Jazz said, then gasped as she reached into her pocket, realizing her iPhone was gone. "Oh no! My phone's gone!"
"Where'd you leave it last?"
"It was in my pocket."
"Well, it couldn't have fallen out. Maybe you misplaced it somewhere."
"Maybe. My last class was gym. We can look there."
"Okay. I'll help," Danny promised, following his sister to the Girl's Locker Room.
"Are we seriously gonna go into the Girl's Locker Room? Not that I'd mind... or wouldn't mind or... uh..." Dash asked, a bit of flush showing on his cheeks.
"No, no ir al vestuario de las chicas!" Paulina shouted, pointing her finger at Dash.
"Paulina and I can help you look in the Girl's Locker Room. The rest of the guys can look in the gym," Sam planned.
"Great idea, Sam!" Jazz grinned excitedly.
"Okay, we'll search the gym," Danny said, then him and Dash went inside the gym to look for Jazz's iPhone, while the girls searched in the Girl's Locker Room.
Paulina searched in the restroom part of the locker room, Sam at the far end and Jazz around the front. She first searched her locker, which only showed her gym clothes, then other places like in the deep corners. Paulina searched inside the stalls, under and inside the sinks, then around the trash can. She found the iPhone behind the trash can.
"I f'únd ít!" Paulina shouted.
"What's going on here!?" The coach, Tetslaff, asked, folding her arms.
"I'm just looking for something I left during gym," Jazz explained.
"That wouldn't be what you're looking for, would it?" Coach Tetslaff asked, taking the phone.
"Coach-"
"You know very well that cell phones or other electrical devices are not allowed in school."
"I haven't used it during class or gym once. You know I never use any."
"Then, why did you have this with you?"
"I use it to know my way home, if I miss the bus, or call my parents! I have to have it with me at all costs, so my parents can know where I am! I never use it for anything else!"
"I doubt it just like I doubt this isn't the reason your Physical Education grades are so low! You think I'm stupid!? I see you sneaking your iPhones in your pocket, then start talking to all your little friends!"
"Yes, but when has Jazz ever done that!? You're not being fair with her!" Sam shouted in defense.
"You want fair!? According to the rules, I'm supposed to bring this to the main office and that's exactly what I'm going to do! If you want this back, you're gonna have to call the front desk, say your name and they will bring it back by later on tonight!"
"But I need it to call my parents and my boss from work!"
"Too bad! You shouldn't have brought it in the first place! This phone is not needed during school! You can call the front desk or use the internet from the Computer Lab, which is open during lunch!" Coach Tetslaff said, walking out the door. Though, as soon as she opened the door, Danny was seen in front of it. "Move, Fenton!"
"Not until I get a say. Actually, a smart phone is a needed necessity to use during school. For instance, if a shooter was to break in and shoot everyone. The students can get out their iPhone and call 911, even use Facebook to show what the shooter looks like. It can also be used as a calculator, if a student forgets his. It's a GPS, if the student gets lost somewhere and an organizer for important information like ID, bank account information and other private information. If you take Jazz's cell phone, you're taking all her important information she needs in order to organize her life just like you need yours to organize yours," Danny said.
"Don't you tell me what she needs this worthless thing for! If she had important information anywhere, it'd be in her purse!"
"What information is written on paper anymore!?" Sam shouted with frustration.
"Well, you all will be receiving detention, if you don't get out of my way! How 'bout that, Fenton?" Coach Tetslaff smirked with threat.
Danny hesitated and began thinking. Finally, he let the coach do her duty. He sighed in defeat as he turned his head, looking at his sister with an apologetic look. Jazz nodded, then slowly walked into the bathroom, into one of the stalls. She cried quietly with bitter tears. She normally never cried easily, but she lost everything important on her that she needed. That cell phone was where every important information was at and it was in the hands of her teacher. It was like teachers stealing her purse with her credit cards and ID. It was devastating.
Danny could hear faint cries and a certain anger filled his every being. Paulina, Sam and Dash all gasped as Danny transformed into Danny Phantom. He fazed through the floor. Coach Tetslaff appeared in the Main Office, revealing the iPhone to one of the student volunteers working behind the desk.
"A student left this in the Girl's Locker Room," Coach Tetslaff reported, handing the iPhone.
"We'll take care of it. Thank you," the student said as Tetslaff left.
The student smirked, taking the iPhone and opening it instantly.
"Now, what do we have here..." The student smirked. He opened the internet, revealing Jazz's Facebook profile. "Jazz Fenton? Wow, this should be fun..." He was about to edit Jazz's profile until it was instantly taken from him.
"I will take it from here," Danny Phantom said with glaring eyes. The boy gasped with widened eyes before the ghost boy took Jazz's iPhone, then disappeared.
Coach Tetslaf was on her way out of the school when she found herself sinking through the floor, then appearing in the basement of the school. She screamed, but then it was muffled by someone covering her mouth. Normally, the lights would be off, but they were turned on this time, probably by the mysterious invisible ghost.
Danny Phantom, using his invisibility to conceal himself, showed a recording on Jazz's cell phone of the student using it to change her Facebook profile.
"You're a teacher and it's your responsibility to assure the safety of the student. This phone has all of this girl's important and personal information on it and, if not for me, a student that you trusted to handle her phone would have done serious damage," Danny Phantom pointed out.
"I-It's the school's policy! I'm j-just doing my job!" Coach Tetslaf defended. "Who are you and where are you!? Speak!"
"You have done harm to a student that you have no reason of accusing of abusing school policies. You take something that's important to her and care little of how your actions effect her!" Danny glared. Coach Tetslaf then gasped as she saw her own cell phone floating in the air, glowing green. "I can't send you to the Realm of the Dead, but I can do this."
The phone instantly broke into thousands of pieces as Coach Tetslaf cried, "HEY, YOU FILTHY- WHERE ARE YOU!? ANSWER ME!" Little did Coach Tetslaf know, Danny Phantom was gone. It would not be, until way late in the day, when a school janitor would find her locked in the basement of the school.
Jazz exited out of the Girl's Locker Room, after having wiped her tears, then gasped when Danny Phantom appeared before her. He smiled and gave Jazz back her cell phone. Once she saw the phone, she gasped happily, then fell in the ghost boy's arms, hugging him tightly.
"You brought back my phone! I can't thank you enough!" Jazz cried as Danny blinked at first, then smiled and hugged the girl back. A blush crept across his cheeks.
"I'm sorry she hurt you. You probably should keep your phone in a safer place like your backpack, so this doesn't happen again. A student up in the office almost took your important information and changed it," Danny said.
"Then, I'm glad I have a ghost protector watching over me, huh?" Jazz grins, hands on Danny's shoulders.
"I suppose..." Danny said, shrugging, then couldn't help, but stare at the glow in Jazz's turquoise eyes.
It was then that Jazz began admiring those green eyes again, that seemed to glow naturally, even in the dark. If the lights were all off in this school and it was so dark, she couldn't see her own hand, Jazz would still be able to look up into those beautiful green eyes that stared into her own. She couldn't help it, but she began sighing as those eyes began growing closer. It was almost like a natural reaction.
Jazz began focusing on Danny's lips, wondering what they felt like. Were they soft, smooth, sweet tasting? Jazz wasn't sure and had never kissed a guy in her life. She only went by her friends, movies or books, but that wasn't the experience. As those glowing green eyes that captivated her grew close, realizing that they were both moving in at the same time, Jazz began closing her eyes as she felt those lips touch hers.
"JAZZ!" Jazz heard Sam call, gasping and seeing that Danny had disappeared. She looked around and found Danny Phantom leaning against the lockers, while changing back to Danny Fenton. By this time, Sam, followed by Paulina and Dash, came running toward the duo. "Hey Jazz, you okay?"
"Yeah, got my phone back," Jazz said, smiling at her iPhone. "Danny Phantom is a huge life savor!"
"That's good!" Sam replied happily before showing a glare, then crossing her arms. "I can't believe our coach did that to you and she had the gall to claim your phone is worthless!"
Jazz sighed, then replied, "she's probably seen too many kids that do break that rule and use their phones during class time."
"Maybe, but that shouldn't mean hurting someone. You have a job and needs that phone to do work. You could've gotten fired, if anything was to happen. At the very least, our coach could've given you a warning."
"No use crying over spilled milk. I'll just have to place my phone in my locker from now on. Let's head out."
"Excelente!" Paulina shouted excitedly as everyone smiled, laughed and walked on their way out of the school.
As everyone was leaving, Jazz couldn't help, but think about that almost kiss that happened only a few minutes ago. Did Danny Phantom like her the same way she liked him? A guy wouldn't normally let a girl kiss him, unless he had feelings too. There were so many emotions felt inside Jazz. She almost kissed that beautiful-eyed ghost boy and she wished that the kiss happened. She wished for those lips to have touched her own, moving softly and gently. So close to her first real kiss and Jazz never got it.
Jazz felt so childish that she wanted to cry over spilled milk.
