Pointless fluff which hasn't left my mind...let me know what you think. Thanks.
Lee had found her in her en-suite bathroom. Lucy was sat in her empty bath with her black dress still on and bare legs sprawled out in front of her, a glass of red wine in her hand and two bottles at the side of the bath. She hadn't noticed that he had entered until he'd shut the door behind him and locked it.
"What are you doing in here?" Lee questioned as he perched himself on the toilet seat.
Her en-suite was a decent size. Big enough to fit a toilet, bath, shower and sink in it. The colour scheme matching the main bathroom; blues and brown. Lucy hardly ever used it though, he knew that. It had become more of their storage area but on occasion when she needed to get away he knew she retreated into here and he'd leave her be.
"Hiding," Was Lucy's reply as her eyes peered into the swirling red liquid in her glass.
"Why?"
"Just needed to get away from the party," They'd organised a welcome home party for Tim but having this many people in her flat was stressful and she needed a break from hosting it. Her parents could take over that duty for now.
"Yeah. Me too," Lee sighed as he fiddled with his blue shirt and grey waistcoat. Tim was his best friend but Lee drew the line when he had started dancing. It was embarrassing for both of them.
"You going to join me?" Lucy questioned as she nodded her head slightly to the other edge of the bath, where another full glass of wine sat on the side. She'd expected him to turn up at some point.
"Why not?" Lee answered as he slipped off his shoes and socks and climbed into the bath with her, his jean clad legs resting at the side of hers. Grabbing the wine glass he took a grateful sip as he sighed and closed his eyes.
"How did you find me in here anyway?"
"Needed a place to hide myself and this was the only place I could think of. Your brother's started dancing and that's a sight I don't want to have to see," Lee answered as Lucy nodded her head, her left leg coming to bend up slightly as she placed her glass of wine on the side.
"It can't be that bad."
"Someone's just shouted strip and he went straight for his trousers. I don't want to be scarred mentally for the rest of my life!" Tim had drank quite a few wines.
"They're going to end looking for us at some point," Lucy sighed reluctantly.
"Leave them," Was Lee's answer as his free hand had absentmindedly began rubbing circles into the lower half of her leg.
It wasn't intentional just sort of automatic if he could put it that way. Lucy didn't seem to mind by the looks of it as her head rested against the edge of the bath on her arms and as her eyes stayed shut, a sigh escaping her lips. Risking it a bit he let his hand glide further upwards and towards her knee as his fingers traced light patterns onto her skin before going back down her leg.
They sat in silence for a while as Lee continued with his hands a small smile on his face. This was the most relaxed he'd seen her in ages. Lee startled as he felt Lucy shift her leg a bit and place it on top of his. Her eyes were open now.
"What have you always wanted to do but never got the chance?" That's why she had a questioning expression on her face.
The question had startled him slightly as his hand rested flat on her knee. Maybe this was it. The time he could tell her how he felt. That he loved her. Maybe blurting it out as the first answer wouldn't be the best idea but maybe if it continued on he would eventually gain the courage to tell her.
"Um...I've always wanted to pay rent on time," Lucy chuckled at that as Lee relaxed a bit more.
"Don't think that's ever going to happen."
"C'mon then what have you always wanted to do?" Lee turned the question back on her as Lucy sat there pondering for the second. She wanted to do a lot. Most simple but she wanted to do them.
There were the usual like sky diving, scuba diving and bungee jumping. The things people say they want to do but most of the time don't actually get around to doing it. Then there were the simpler things like learn an instrument and stuff like that. But there was one thing she wanted to do and only ever had the opportunity to do it twice and that was kiss Lee. And not the small chaste kisses they had shared but ones that showed that she loved him. Lucy couldn't tell him that though, he's ego would go through the roof.
There was one thing though. One thing she had always wanted to do since she was a teenager. She knew it could be considered romantic or not but it depends on the person. If it was unexpected or purposeful then it would be considered romantic.
"I've always wanted to kiss someone in the rain."
That's when Lee's mind began to work in overdrive. This could be his perfect opportunity but he'd have to wait until it was raining outside and it looked unlikely to happen with the recent dry spell. But he could make it work. Jumping up from his seating position he got out of the bath and went to help Lucy up out of it.
"What are you doing?" She questioned slightly bemused as he dragged her over to the shower and switched it on before pulling them both into it. "Lee!"
Standing opposite each other, slowly getting drenched under the showers spray Lee blushed and ducked his head a little bit, his hair slowly flattening. Looking really confused now Lucy let her hand rest on his arm.
"You said you've always wanted to kiss someone in the rain and this is the closest I could get," seeing her face he hastily added, "if you don't mind?"
Lucy stood there slightly in shock as she peered at his chest which had become clearly visible under his shirt which was sticking tightly to his skin, if she looked up water would be sprayed into her eyes. That's what she kept telling herself in her mind anyway. The thought was sweet and it was hardly rain but it was close enough and the shy look on his face with water dripping off the edge of his eyelashes and nose made her beam a little bit.
"I don't mind," That had shocked him. He'd just suggested that he should kiss her and she'd agreed! She'd agreed to kiss him under the shower spray and she was smiling. So that meant she wanted this in some way.
Deciding that it was best to get on with it before the water began to get cold Lee asked one more time to make sure she was ok. Lucy's answer was to step closer to him, her hands going to clutch his waistcoat and pull him closer, as his went to her waist.
"I'll take that as a yes?" Lee chuckled slightly.
"Shut up and kiss me."
Lee couldn't deny her as his head dipped lower and she stood on her tip toes, eyes sliding close and their lips met each other half way. The kiss was short and sweet before pulling away and staring at each other slightly. It didn't take long for them to begin kissing again Lee pushing her back to rest against the wall of the shower as her legs wrapped around his waist and hands entered his hair.
"Lucy you in there!" They heard Tim shout through the door as they broke apart, breathing heavily as they stared at each other noses overlapping each other.
"Yes!" Lucy shouted back as Lee's head went to rest against her shoulder, whilst placing tiny kisses. Her hands clutching his back.
"Why are you in there?"
"I just wanted to get away for a bit!"
Then Lucy giggled slightly as Lee traced the skin of her thigh lightly and she could hear Tim thinking from the other side of the door. Burying her head into his shoulder to muffle her laughter.
"Is Lee in there with you?" Was what came out of her suspicious brother's mouth next.
"Yes Tim!" Lee answered as Lucy smacked his head,"ow."
"What are you doing in there!?" Tim shouted through the door and they could hear his anger levels rise but that didn't bother them as Lucy began to kiss his jawline, his breath hitching.
"We're relaxing! We're fed up with hosting so you'll have to take over! Give us half an hour..." At Lucy's nudge he corrected himself, "an hour and we'll be out. Lucy's drifting off to sleep!" He shouted back as an excuse as he heard Tim mumble something.
"Why's the water running?"
"Because we had a water fight! Now get lost you'll wake your sister!" Lee shouted as he heard Tim huff and walk off.
"I can't believe he accepted that excuse," he heard Lucy mumble next to his skin as Lee pushed her tighter to the wall to stop her from slipping and his hands clutched at her waist and leg.
"Your bother would believe anything...when he's drunk," Lee answered back.
"So we've got an hour to spare?" Lucy questioned with an arch of her eyebrow as her lips stayed millimetres apart from his.
"Hm-hm." Lee answered as he kissed her.
They never did go back to the party.
