The next morning I woke up with a smile on my face. I was still snuggly wrapped in Daryl's arms. I looked at the ring that hugged my finger. It was the most beautiful ring I had ever seen in my life.

Daryl's hand reached up and grabbed mine. "Looks beautiful on you."

I smiled and turned to face him. "I love you more than life itself." I informed him as I kissed him gently.

Daryl smiled as he kissed me back.

I thought a moment though and became a little sad.

"What's wrong?" Daryl asked stroking the side of my face.

"How are we supposed to get married?" I asked. "The zombie apocalypse isn't exactly an ideal time to get hitched."

Daryl laughed and reached over me into his pants pocket. He presented me with two silver wedding bands.

"Who's to say we can't or aren't for that matter?" he asked.

My face lit up. I couldn't believe he had thought of everything.

Daryl put the wedding ring on my finger and I put the other on his.

"There." He kissed my hand. "The outside world will never know the difference."

I kissed him wildly. I made a trail from his neck south, enjoying the sounds that I was causing him to make. When he couldn't talk it any longer I climbed on top of him and showed him just how much I enjoyed being his wife.

After basking in the after sex glow it was time to get dressed and join the outside world. I dressed in some of my new clothes, a pair of dark gray yoga pants, and an oversized purple tank top. I was extremely grateful to be wearing a pair of the new underwear that Daryl had thought to get as well.

We were cleaning up the back of the HHR and putting things in their place when Daryl came across the box of condoms that Maggie had brought back.

"Something I need to know?" Daryl asked holding up the box.

I sighed. "Maggie couldn't get my pills."

"I see." He said

"I hate the idea of having to use them." I informed him as I inched my way over to him. "I'm going to miss the feel of you without one."

"Don't worry." He said kissing me and tossing the box aside.

I was just about to ask him why when there was a knock on the hatch. I looked over and it was Rick.

Daryl opened it up and we climbed out.

"Sorry to disturb the happy couple." Rick chuckled.

I smiled at him. "What's up Mr. Lawman?"

"Well I convinced Hershel to let us move into the house." He informed us with a smile.

"That's fantastic!" I exclaimed.

"I told everyone else at breakfast, but you two kind of missed it." He told us.

I blushed. "Sorry."

I wasn't really sorry but it felt like the thing to say.

"So when are we supposed to be movin stuff in?" Daryl asked.

"Starting here in a bit." Rick answered.

"Are we all going to fit in there?" I asked. I knew it was a huge house but there were a lot of us.

"There is enough room for everyone to have their own space." He replied.

"Great." I smiled.

With that Rick turned and left.

"I feel like we just moved." I laughed.

"At least it's safer inside." Daryl responded.

"I just hope we get our own room." I smiled wrapping my arms around his neck.

"We better." He growled pulling me too him and kissing me hard.

I smiled against his lips.

Within the hour we were helping everyone move their things into the house. I hadn't been in much and realized it was bigger than I thought it had been. Downstairs had the kitchen, living room, dining room, sitting room, a bathroom and two large bedrooms. Upstairs had six more bedrooms, two more bathrooms, and a small library.

There was just about enough space for everyone, or couple to claim their own room, even though some people would be sleeping on couches in places other than bedrooms. I didn't think anyone minded. We were all pretty happy being in a house.

It was slow going getting everyone situated and into their designated places. It was starting to get dark and we weren't done. We decided to stop for the night. Nobody had eaten dinner and we didn't think it would kill anyone not to have all of their stuff with them the first night.

We decided to make a fire and cook out to say goodbye to our little makeshift camp ground.

I started making my way to the car to get my hoodie. I didn't want to get into dinner and start freezing. Daryl appeared behind me as I approached the car.

"What'cha after?" He asked.

I jumped. "Damn it Daryl you scared the piss out of me." I laughed slumping against the car.

He smiled and kissed my forehead.

"I was coming down to grab my hoodie." I explained. "What about you?"

"Wanted a minute alone with you before dinner." He smiled kissing me.

I smiled back. He was so sweet. We hadn't had any time alone since that morning.

Daryl opened the door, reached in and handed me my hoodie.

"Thank you." I smiled as we made our way back up to the fire.

The people around us had avoided eye contact most of the day. I knew it was because they had seen the wedding rings and didn't know what to say.

It didn't matter much to me. Let them think what they wanted. I was happy and nothing was going to change that.

Or so I thought…
