"Come out come out, wherever you are!" Spyra called out in a deranged yet flirty voice as she searched the various rooms for Ellis. It had only been a few minutes since her change and in the span Ellis blinded her with some dirt in his pocket then booked it out of the room faster than he ever moved. The good thing was that the first few floors were clear thanks to Cyrus's quick actions and it gave Ellis some good hiding spots but the bad news was that he was trying to hide from a freakin dragon! "Come on out Ellipoo, I won't hurt you...I just want to crush you!"
Ellis, for his part, was glad that she hadn't decided to use her nose to sniff him out yet but even he had no idea that his adopted sister was this unstable. He knew that she had some...issues in the past when she was just a hatchling and he had some idea that she might've had some small crush on him at some point but nothing that would lead to this.
He tensed when he heard the door open and even had to hold his breath when he felt the air grow cold and the heavy breathing of a dragon who was hunting her prey.
"I promise I'll make it as...painful as possible!" Spyra said with a hint of seduction and damn she could pull it off very well. Ellis actually had to pause and think about whether or not he should follow the alluring voice. "You are only making this harder for yourself."
'Think Ellis, what the hell do you do to get out of this?' Ellis thought frantically before he heard the door shut and he peeked from around the corner to see nothing. Letting out a sigh of relief he heard the next door open and a sharp snort from the other side of the wall as Spyra did the same thing in the next room. 'She won't be deterred for long and soon she'll start sniffing around and find me. Her pride is hurt and so are her feelings but how does she expect me to win if I don't fight back?'
"You're boring me Ellis! I don't like being bored!" Spyra called out as her voice echoed through the hall as Ellis grimaced as he slowly crept to the door and opened it as Spyra turned around with her dark eyes focused on her prize.
"You were looking for me?" Ellis asked while scratching his head while Spyra slowly gained a sick grin on her muzzle.
"I had hoped you would continue hiding, it makes the ending so much sweeter." Spyra said as she began her slow walk towards him.
"One question; are you Spyra's dark half or a completely separate entity inside of her?" Ellis asked curiously as Spyra stopped and stared at him through narrow eyes.
"If you must know, I am both and neither." Spyra said with a calm tone instead of a seductive one for once. "I embody her negative emotions but I am also my own being that lives with her, just like how you have the same inside your very soul now as well. She harbors very...dark thoughts in her mind that she keeps locked away and I am the result."
Ellis cocked his head to the side. "But what does she keep locked away? What is she trying to hide?"
Spyra's grin returned and she got a very dark gleam in her eyes. "You want to know just what your dear sister is thinking? You want to know just what is going on in her head? I'll tell you...if you can survive!" Spyra roared before she became a black blur in Ellis's vision before he felt his body impact the wall behind him. He didn't even have time to feel that pain as a new one took it's place as he felt his right arm being yanked by sharp teeth and him being thrown a good 5 yards down the hall with a loud thud.
'She really wants to kill me!' Ellis thought as he stared through teary eyes as a black cloaked dragoness came bearing down on him. Acting on instinct, Ellis struck out with his fist in hopes of hitting something but Spyra easily dodged the sloppy punch and delivered her own strike with her claws.
The result was a large gash from his left shoulder to his right hip.
"I was hoping for more from you...if you are what she wants then I must say she will be entirely disappointed." Spyra said calmly as if she was talking about the weather. "Perhaps I should do her a favor and end you, then maybe she might be able to wind up with that cute little ice dragon that keeps hitting on her."
Now, Ellis wasn't dumb by any stretch but even his mind went blank due to instinctual jealousy at hearing those words. He wasn't sure if she was joking or not but just hearing that made his emotions run high and a fierce snarl escape his mouth. This...entity in his adopted sibling had the gall to even insinuate that another dragon had even a remote chance with HIS mate?
Not if he had any say about it!
"Like hell she will!" Ellis roared out before grabbing the now surprised dragoness by her horns and using all the strength he had, he threw her straight into the wall. He wasn't done though as he took advantage of that by grabbing her tail this time and swinging her around and throwing her halfway across the hall and into a wooden bench. "No other dragon is getting her or Cynder for that matter!" Ellis wasn't completely sure where these feelings were coming from but all he felt was a seething rage at this abomination in his sister.
"Says the one who runs away from any other dragoness! You're a coward and not the right one for either of them!" Spyra roared back angrily. This insect had the nerve to put his hands on her and tell her what she can and can't do? Not on her life!
"Then let me prove to you that I am the right one for both of them!" Ellis roared back as he felt energy rising in him and giving form in his mind. With a yell of power that shook the walls he began to change, his skin went away to be replaced by dark obsidian scales but the dark naval underbelly he normally had became a dark shade of red and his eyes seemed to glow with power as wings of deepest red grew from his back and jet black spines.
Spyra unconsciously licked her lips at this new and improved form of Ellis and gave a huff of anticipation for the upcoming battle, even more than the fight with Malefor!
"Round...Two." Was all that flew from Ellis's mouth before he charged.
Well that's a cliffie for you all! I know, I'm a mean ass but come on you all secretly wanted one and you know it lol. So now we see that Ellis gets a new form when he's angry and what a fight he's in for!
In all seriousness, I hope you all enjoy this chapter and I am writing Angel and Boundaries but those are slow going so it might be awhile. I still Eragon chose the wrong girl, how would an elf match the splendor and grace of a dragoness?
